1中国北回归线附近岛屿及沿海初夏鸟类报告显示文摘于2001年6月8日至19日对位于北回归线附近的粤闽沿海岛屿及沿海湿地(东迄福建省南部的东山岛,西至广东省东部汕头地区的牛田洋湿地和南澳及其附近诸岛)进行鸟类调查,后又于2004年6月做了补充调查。共记录到鸟类77种,其中海岛鸟11种,湿地鸟25种,陆地鸟41种,包括国家一、二级保护种类分别为白腹军舰鸟Fregata andrewsi和岩鹭Egretta sacra。观察新增了10种以往未曾在该地区记录到的鸟类,首次记录到岩鹭在南澳及其附近诸岛的繁殖,再次印证了粉红燕鸥Sterna dougallii、黑枕燕鸥Sterna sumatrana、褐翅燕鸥Sterna anaethetus和黑叉尾海燕Oceanodro mamonorhis在该地区的繁殖记录。通过对比该地区一个多世纪以来鸟类记录(包括繁殖记录)的差异,探讨该地区鸟类区系的演替过程。孙泽伟 Richard W.Lewthwaite 余日东 李国诚 Michael R.Leven Martin D.Williams Kerry Sherred James Lazell 卢文华 2008动物分类学报2008,33,1:4

4Advancements in non-starch polysaccharides research for frozen foods and microencapsulation of probiotics显示文摘Conventionally used in the food industry as stabilizing,thickening,gelling,and suspending or dispersing agents,non-starch polysaccharides such as xanthan gum are known to improve the texture of certain frozen products.Another polysaccharide that has received significant attention in recent years is chitosan,a natural biopolymer derived from chitin.In the wake of growing interest in finding ideal encapsulating agents for probiotics,non-starch polysaccharides have been investigated.Scattered research can be found on the effect of each individual polysaccharide,but there remains a void in the literature in terms of closely comparing the characteristics of nonstarch polysaccharides for these applications,especially when more than one biopolymer is employed.A good understanding of the tools capable of elucidating the underlying mechanisms involved is essential in ushering further development of their applications.Therefore,it is this review’s intention to focus on the selection criteria of non-starch polysaccharides based on their rheological properties,resistance to harsh conditions,and ability to improve sensory quality.A variety of critical tools is also carefully examined with respect to the attainable information crucial to frozen food and microencapsulation applications.Pavan Kumar SOMA Patrick D.WILLIAMS Y.Martin LO 2009Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2009,3,4:1

6How do molecular interactions affect fluorescence behavior of AIEgens in solution and aggregate states?显示文摘Molecular interactions are crucial in diverse fields of protein folding,material science,nanotechnology,and life origins.Although mounting experimental research controls luminescent behavior by adjusting molecular interactions in light-emitting materials,it remains elusive to correlate microscopic molecular interactions with macroscopic luminescent behavior directly.Here,we synthesized three red luminogens with subtle structural variation and investigated the influence of molecular interactions on their luminescent behavior in solution and aggregate states.Our results indicate that strongπ-πand D-A interactions in both dilute solution(between luminogen and solvent molecules)and aggregate(between luminogens)states cause the redshift in emission,while weak interactions(e.g.,Van der Waals,C–H…π,and C–H…F interactions)enhance the quantum yield.This work provides a thoughtful investigation into the complicated influence of various molecular interactions on luminescent behavior.Ying Yu Hao Xing Zhicong Zhou Junkai Liu Herman H-YSung Ian D.Williams Jonathan E.Halpert Zheng Zhao Ben Zhong Tang 2022Science China Chemistry2022,65,1:1

11Crustacean parasites associated with hermit crabs from the western Mediterranean Sea,with first documentation of egg predation by the burrowing barnacle Trypetesa lampas(Cirripedia:Acrothoracica:Trypetesidae)显示文摘Parasitic isopods(family Bopyridae)and burrowing barnacles(family Trypetesidae)infesting hermit crabs were investigated from shallow subtidal collections made along the southeastern coast of Spain in 2009.A total of 713 specimens of Clibanarius erythropus(Latreille,1818)and 82 Calcinus tubularis(L.,1767)were examined.Gastropod shells and worm tubes inhabited by hermit crabs were collected by hand while snorkeling and were cracked to determine host species,size,sex and presence of eggs.Two species of bopyrid isopods were found on C.erythropus:the branchial parasite Bopyrissa fraiseii(Carayon,1943)and the abdominal parasite Parathelges cardonae Codreanu and Codreanu in Codreanu,1968.Among all C.erythropus examined,Bopyrissa fraiseii was found on 0.6%of hermit crabs and P.cardonae was found on 0.3%.A redescription of P.cardonae is provided and the species is documented with light and scanning electron microscopy for the first time.No Calcinus tubularis harbored parasitic isopods,but one specimen was parasitized by an unidentified rhizocephalan barnacle of the genus Septosaccus(1.2%).The burrowing barnacle Trypetesa lampas(Hancock,1849)was found associated with both hermit crab species and evidence of predation on host eggs by this barnacle is shown for the first time.Trypetesa lampas was found in 4.2%of the shells collected.The present study expands our knowledge of the parasite fauna of hermit crabs from the Mediterranean Sea and indicates that additional research is needed to determine the impact of trypetesid egg predators on hermit crab populations.Jason D.WILLIAMS Alejandra GALLARDO Angela E.MURPHY 2011Integrative Zoology2011,6,1:0
