| 2 | Hospital-Based Phenotypic Features and Treatment Outcomes of Chinese Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: The Effect of Body Mass Index and Geographic Distribution显示文摘Genetic,lifestyle,and environmental factors contribute to the etiology of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).Increased body mass index(BMI)exacerbates the reproductive and metabolic parameters and reduces the fecundity of women with PCOS.This is a secondary analysis of a large-sample,multicenter,randomized controlled trial conducted at 21 sites in Chinese mainland.A total of 1000 women diagnosed with PCOS were enrolled in this trial.Of these,998 women with PCOS were included in the analysis.Increased BMI was associated with more severe menstrual irregularities,elevated testosterone level,higher prevalence of metabolic syndrome,and poorer quality of life.The rates of ovulation per woman for the normal,overweight,and obese BMI groups were 83.0%,78.2%,and 63.6%,respectively(P<0.001),and the rates of live birth were 23.6%,18.1%,and 15.3%(P=0.030).Northern PCOS patients showed more severe reproductive,glucose,and lipid profiles;less exercise;and lower total ovulation rates compared with PCOS patients from Southern China(74.8%vs 81.2%,absolute difference 6.4%,95%confidence interval 1.2%–11.5%).The results show the typical phenotypic features of Han women with PCOS in Northern and Southern China.The women living in Northern China showed a higher BMI,more severe glycolipid metabolism profiles,and subsequently worse clinical outcomes by the same interventions than those living in Southern China.The difference in phenotypic features can be explained mostly by differences in BMI and the resulting difference in ovulation. | Jingshu Gao Hongli Ma Yu Wang Xinming Yang Yijuan Cao Bei Zhang Conghui Han Xiaoke Wua | 2021 | Engineering2021,7,2: | 3 |
| 3 | Comparison of diploid and triploid Carassius auratus provides insights into adaptation to environmental change显示文摘Focusing on adaptation of aquatic organisms, especially fish, can help elucidate complex dynamics in freshwater ecology. The differences in genetic and epigenetic regulation between diploid and triploid Carassius auratus affect survival under eutrophication. To identify the underlying mechanisms that lead to better adaption of triploids than diploids, we compared mRNA and microRNA(miRNA) expressions in liver tissue of diploid and triploid individuals obtained from the Dongting lake water system in central China. Differential expression analysis revealed that 566 transcripts were significantly up-regulated, whereas758 were down-regulated in triploids; of these differentially expressed transcripts, 33 transcripts including cacna1 d, nfkb2, hspa1 and fgfr4 were involved in the MAPK signaling pathway, and eight transcripts were determined to be regulated by seven miRNAs. Additionally, four of 25 differential expressed(DE) transcripts(mhc1, irf7, nfkb2 and pik3 c) involving the viral carcinogenesis pathway were regulated by four miRNAs. Furthermore, genetic polymorphisms analysis showed that more heterozygous mutations were detected in triploids than diploids. The d N/d S results revealed that 21 genes were under positive selection(d N/d S>1) in C. auratus complex. | 5 | Abnormal meiosis in fertile and sterile triploid cyprinid fish显示文摘Meiosis is the key process for producing mature gametes. A natural fertile triploid Carassius auratus population(3nDTCC) and an artificially derived sterile triploid crucian carp(3nCC) have been previously observed, providing suitable model organisms for investigating meiosis characteristics in triploid fish. In the present study, the microstructures and ultrastructures of spermatogenesis were studied in these fishes. Td T-mediated d UTP nick end labeling detection was performed to investigate the apoptosis of spermatocytes. Fluorescence in situ hybridization was employed to trace chromatin pairing. In addition, the m RNA expressions of cell cycle-related genes(i.e., cell division control 2 and cell cycle protein B) were determined by quantitative realtime polymerase chain reaction to illustrate the molecular mechanism of abnormal meiosis in the 3nCC. The results showed that the 3nCC undergoes an irregular prophase I, with the chromosomes distributed in a unipolar radial manner and exhibiting partial pairing, hindered metaphase I, and degenerated cells in the subsequent stages. Meanwhile, the 3nDTCC presented a relatively regular meiotic prophase I with complete conjugate chromosome pairs and chromosomes distributed along the karyotheca,which were presented as a ring structure by slicing. Only the spreads with 130–150 irregular chromosomes can be easily detected in the 3nDTCC, suggesting that it may undergo an abnormal metaphase I. The morphology, structure and magnetism performance were characterized and the adsorption model and mechanism were discussed. | 12 | Phase-boundary regulation boosting electrochemical reactivity of tin-based anodes for magnesium-ion batteries显示文摘Tin(Sn)-based materials are promising anodes for magnesium-ion batteries(MIBs) owing to their low reaction voltages, high theoretical specific capacities and good compatibility with conventional electrolytes. However, relatively arduous alloying reaction and sluggish diffusion kinetics limit their practical applications. Herein, we proposed a general strategy to regulate the electrochemical reactivity and performance of Sn-based anodes for Mg storage through the introduction of the second phase and phase boundary. The biphase Sn–Al, Sn–Pb and Sn–Zn O films were further fabricated via magnetron co-sputtering. Taking Sn–Al as an example, it has been revealed that the introduction of Al can effectively stimulate the electrochemical reaction of Sn with Mg in either nanoscale or bulk through combining experiments with density-functional theory calculations. Specially, the rolled Sn–Al electrode exhibits superior long-term stability over 5,000 cycles. Additionally, the Mg-storage mechanism of the Sn–Al electrode was investigated by operando X-ray diffraction. The Sn–Al anodes also demonstrate good compatibility with simple Mg-salt-based electrolytes like Mg(TFSI)2in full cells. More importantly, it has been authenticated that the activation effect of second phase and phase boundary to Sn is also applicable to Pb and Zn O. | 13 | Understanding a Single-Li-Ion COF Conductor for Being Dendrite Free in a Li-Organic Battery显示文摘In addition to improving ion conductivity and the transference number,single-Li-ion conductors(SLCs)also enable the elimination of interfacial side reactions and concentration difference polarization.Therefore,the SLCs can achieve high performance in solid-state batteries with Li metal as anode and organic molecule as cathode.Covalent organic frameworks(COFs)are leading candidates for constructing SLCs because of the excellent 1D channels and accurate chemical-modification skeleton.Herein,various contents of lithium-sulfonated covalently anchored COFs(denoted as LiO,S-COF1 and LiO,S-COF2)are controllably synthesized as SLCs.Due to the directional ion channels,high Li contents,and single-ion frameworks,LiO,SCOF2 shows exceptional Li-ion conductivity of 5.47×10^(-5)S.cm^(-1),high transference number of 0.93,and low activation energy of 0.15eV at room temperature.Such preeminent Li-ion-transported properties of LiO_(3)S-F2 permit stable Li+plating/stripping in a symmetric lithium metal battery,effectively impeding the Li dendrite growth in a liquid cell.Moreover,the designed quasi-solid-state cell(organic anthraquinone(AQ)as cathode,Li metal as anode,and LiO_(3)S-COF2 as electrolyte)shows high-capacity retention and rate behavior.Consequently,LiO_(3)S-COF2 implies a potential value restraining the dissolution of small organic molecules and Li dendrite growth. | Yongjiang Sun Genfu Zhao Yao Fu Yongxin Yang Conghui Zhang Qi An Hong Guo | 2023 | Research2023,,1: | 0 |

| 16 | Joint multiple resource allocation for offloading cost minimization in IRS-assisted MEC networks with NOMA显示文摘Effective resource allocation can exploit the advantage of intelligent reflective surface(IRS)assisted mobile edge computing(MEC)fully.However,it is challenging to balance the limited energy of MTs and the strict delay requirement of their tasks.In this paper,in order to tackle the challenge,we jointly optimize the offloading delay and energy consumption of mobile terminals(MTs)to realize the delay-energy tradeoff in an IRS-assisted MEC network,in which non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)and multiantenna are applied to improve spectral efficiency.To achieve the optimal delay-energy tradeoff,an offloading cost minimization model is proposed,in which the edge computing resource allocation,signal detecting vector,uplink transmission power,and IRS phase shift coefficient are needed to be jointly optimized.The optimization of the model is a multi-level fractional problem in complex fields with some coupled high dimension variables.To solve the intractable problem,we decouple the original problem into a computing subproblem and a wireless transmission subproblem based on the uncoupled relationship between different variable types.The computing subproblem is proved convex and the closed-form solution is obtained for the edge computing resource allocation.Further,the wireless transmission subproblem is solved iteratively through decoupling the residual variables.In each iteration,the closed-form solution of residual variables is obtained through different successive convex approximation(SCA)methods.We verify the proposed algorithm can converge to an optimum with polynomial complexity.Simulation results indicate the proposed method achieves average saved costs of 65.64%,11.24%,and 9.49%over three benchmark methods respectively. | Guang Chen Yueyun Chen Zhiyuan Mai Conghui Hao Meijie Yang Shuangshuang Han Liping Du | 2023 | Digital Communications and Networks2023,9,3: | 0 |

| 18 | Rational construction of high-active CO_(3)O_(4) electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Rational construction of high-efficiency electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is critical for renewable-energy technologies,but it is highly challenging to rationally regulate their surface structures to improve the OER performance.Herein,we proposed a“model-etching”strategy to investigate chemical etching of CO_(3)O_(4).The cubic CO_(3)O_(4)nanocrystals enclosed by well-defined facets are synthesized as model crystals,whose uniform surface structures allow us to study the etching mechanism at atomic level.Etching kinetics study together with DFT calculations discloses that{111}facets,the highly active facets for OER,serve as etch-stop facets in the etching reaction and H_(2)SO_(4)molecules play a special role in creating surface Co2^(+),the active center of OER.These results direct us to rationally optimize the surface structures of CO_(3)O_(4) to develop highly active OER electrocatalysts.The favorable performance of overpotential(η)and the Tafel slope decrease even to 268 mV@10 mA·cm−2 and 74 mV·dec−1,respectively.In general,our study shows that chemical etching of model crystals could help us rationally construct high-efficiency electrocatalysts. | Tianyun Zhang Shichao Zhao Chuanming Zhu Jing Shi Chao Su Jiawen Yang Meng Wang Jun Li Junhui Li Pingle Liu Conghui Wang | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,1: | 0 |
