1Downstaging and resection of hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with extrahepatic metastases after stereotactic therapy显示文摘Background:A combination of tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs)and anti-PD-1 antibodies with local regional therapy has elicited yield substantial clinical benefits in patients who have hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)with extrahepatic metastases.Using this treatment strategy to convert HCC patients with extrahepatic metastases from unresectable to resectable has not yet been reported.Methods:Consecutive hepatocellular carcinoma patients with extrahepatic metastases who received first-line therapy with a combination of TKIs and anti-PD-1 antibodies and at least one local regional therapy were analysed.Results:Nine patients with localized disease who received first-line systemic therapy were enrolled.At baseline,all of them had oligometastatic disease,namely,Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage C(or Chinese Liver Cancer stage IIIB).The most common treatment administered was lenvatinib plus anti-PD-1 antibody and transarterial chemoembolization,and the median time span from systemic therapy to surgery was 3.2(IQR,2.8-6.2)months.Three patients achieved a pathological complete response.Six patients underwent laparoscopic surgery,and the other 3 patients underwent open surgery.After a median follow-up of 10.2(IQR,8.6-20.0)months,7 patients survived without disease recurrence,and 2 experienced tumour recurrence.All patients had any-grade AEs,and 55.6%of the patients experienced grade 3 AEs.Fatigue was the most common AE,followed by elevated aminotransferase levels and hypertension.Conclusions:Stereotactic therapy is a feasible conversion therapy for HCC patients with extrahepatic metastases to become resectable.This is the first study to analyse therapeutic outcomes of patients receiving these therapies for HCC with extrahepatic metastases.Xiaobo Yang Haifeng Xu Bangyou Zuo Xu Yang Jin Bian Junyu Long Dongxu Wang Junwei Zhang Cong Ning Yanyu Wang Ziyu Xun Yunchao Wang Xin Lu Yilei Mao Xinting Sang Haitao Zhao 2021Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2021,10,4:17
2Relationship of microstructure transformation and hardening behavior of type 17-4 PH stainless steel显示文摘The relationship between the microstructure transformation of type 17-4 PH stainless steel and the aging hardening be- havior was investigated. The results showed that, when 17-4 PH stainless steel aging at 595°C, the bulk hardness of samples attains its peak value (42.5 HRC) for about 20 min, and then decreases at all time. TEM revealed the microstructure corresponding with peak hardness is that the fine spheroid-shape copper with the fcc crystal structure and the fiber-shape secondary carbide M23C6 precipitated from the lath martensite matrix. Both precipitations of copper and M23C6 are the reasons for strengthening of the alloy at this tem- perature. 3Visceral hypersensitive rats share common dysbiosis features with irritable bowel syndrome patients显示文摘AIM: To evaluate gut microbial dysbiosis in two visceral hypersensitive models in comparison with irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) patients and to explore the extent to which these models capture the dysbiosis of IBS patients. METHODS: Visceral hypersensitivity was developed using the maternal separation(MS) rat model and post-inflammatory rat model. The visceral sensitivity of the model groups and control group was evaluated using the abdominal withdraw reflex score and electromyography in response to graded colorectal distention. The 16 S ribosomal RNA gene from fecal samples was pyrosequenced and analyzed. The correlation between dysbiosis in the microbiota and visceral hypersensitivity was calculated. Positive findings were compared to sequencing data from a published human IBS cohort.RESULTS: Dysbiosis triggered by neonatal maternal separation was lasting but not static. Both MS and postinflammatory rat fecal microbiota deviated from that of the control rats to an extent that was larger than the co-housing effect. Two short chain fatty acid producing genera, Fusobacterium and Clostridium XI, were shared by the human IBS cohort and by the maternal separation rats and post-inflammatory rats, respectively, to different extents. Fusobacterium was significantly increased in the MS group, and its abundance positively correlated with the degree of visceral hypersensitivity. Porphyromonadaceae was a protective biomarker for both the rat control group and healthy human controls. CONCLUSION: The dysbiosis MS rat model and the post-inflammatory rat model captured some of the dysbiosis features of IBS patients. 4Electrical response grading versus House-Brackmannscale for evaluation of facial nerve injury after Bell's palsy: a comparative study显示文摘OBJECTIVE: There are no convenient techniques to evaluate the degree of facial nerve injury during a course of acupuncture treatment for Bell's palsy. Our previous studies found that observing the electrical response of specific facial muscles provided reasonable correlation with the prognosis of electroacupuncture treatment. Hence, we used the new method to evaluate the degree of facial nerve injury in patients with Bell's palsy in comparison with the House-Brackmann scale. The relationship between therapeutic effects and prognosis was analyzed to explore an objective method for evaluating Bell's palsy. METHODS: The facial nerve function of 68 patients with Bell's palsy was assessed with both electrical response grading and the House-Brackmann scale before treatment. Then differences in evaluation results of the two methods were compared. All enrolled patients received electroacupuncture treatment with disperse-dense wave at 1/100 Hz for 4 weeks. After treatment, correlation analysis was conducted to fi nd the relationship between electrical response and therapeutic effects or prognosis.RESULTS: Checking consistency between electrical response grading and House-Brackmann scale: Kappa value 0.028(P = 0.578). Correlation analysis: the two methods were correlated with the prognosis, and electrical response grading(rER = 0.789) was better than the House-Brackmann scale(rHB = 0.423). CONCLUSION: Electrical response grading is superior to the House-Brackmann scale in efficacy and reliability, and can conveniently assess the degree of facial nerve injury. 5A transient expression system in soybean mesophyll protoplasts reveals the formation of cytoplasmic GmCRY1 photobody-like structures显示文摘Soybean(Glycine max(L.) Merr.), grown for its plant oils and proteins, is one of the most important crops throughout the world.Generating stable and heritable transgenic soybeans is relatively inefficient;therefore, there is an urgent need for a simple and high-efficient transient transformation method by which to enable the investigation of gene functions in soybeans, which will facilitate the elucidation and improvement of the molecular mechanisms regulating the associated agronomic traits. We established a system of transient expression in soybean mesophyll protoplasts and obtained a high level of protoplast transfection efficiency(up to 83.5%). 6Structural Engineering of Hierarchical Aerogels Comprised of Multi-dimensional Gradient Carbon Nanoarchitectures for Highly Efficient Microwave Absorption显示文摘Recently,multilevel structural carbon aerogels are deemed as attractive candidates for microwave absorbing materials.Nevertheless,excessive stack and agglomeration for low-dimension carbon nanomaterials inducing impedance mismatch are significant challenges.Herein,the delicate“3D helix-2D sheet-1D fiber-0D dot”hierarchical aerogels have been successfully synthesized,for the first time,by sequential processes of hydrothermal self-assembly and in-situ chemical vapor deposition method.Particularly,the graphene sheets are uniformly intercalated by 3D helical carbon nanocoils,which give a feasible solution to the mentioned problem and endows the as-obtained aerogel with abundant porous structures and better dielectric properties.Moreover,by adjusting the content of 0D core-shell structured particles and the parameters for growth of the 1D carbon nanofibers,tunable electromagnetic properties and excellent impedance matching are achieved,which plays a vital role in the microwave absorption performance.As expected,the optimized aerogels harvest excellent performance,including broad effective bandwidth and strong reflection loss at low filling ratio and thin thickness.This work gives valuable guidance and inspiration for the design of hierarchical materials comprised of dimensional gradient structures,which holds great application potential for electromagnetic wave attenuation.Yongpeng Zhao Xueqing Zuo Yuan Guo Hui Huang Hao Zhang Ting Wang Ningxuan Wen Huan Chen Tianze Cong Javid Muhammad Xuan Yang Xinnan Wang Zeng Fan Lujun Pan 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,9:5
7Salicylic acid alleviates postharvest chilling injury of sponge gourd(Luffa cylindrica)显示文摘Effect of salicylic acid(SA)on chilling injury(CI)of sponge gourd during storage(9 days,9°C)plus shelf life(2 days,20°C)was evaluated in this study.SA treatment at the concentration of 1.5 mmol L^(–1) significantly reduced postharvest CI of sponge gourds.Besides,the application of SA could effectively decrease the electrolyte leakage,reduce the accumulation of malondialdehyde(MDA)and total phenolics,enhance the activities of antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT)and ascorbate peroxidase(APX),and inhibit the activities of phenylalanine ammonia-lyase(PAL)and polyphenol oxidase(PPO).The beneficial effects of SA could be attributed to preserved membrane integrity,inhibited membrane peroxidation,enhanced antioxidant system and suppressed activities of browning related enzymes.In a sense,SA as a postharvest tool may be commercially used in alleviating CI of sponge gourd.HAN Cong ZUO Jin-hua WANG Qing DONG Hai-zhou GAO Li-pu 2017Journal of Integrative Agriculture2017,16,3:4
8Reduction kinetics of iron oxide pellets with H_2 and CO mixtures显示文摘Reduction of hematite pellets using H2–CO mixtures with a wide range of H2/CO by molar(1:0, 3:1, 1:1, 1:3, and 0:1) at different reducing temperatures(1073, 1173, and 1273 K) was conducted in a program reducing furnace. Based on an unreacted core model, the effective diffusion coefficient and reaction rate constant in several cases were determined, and then the rate-control step and transition were analyzed. In the results, the effective diffusion coefficient and reaction rate constant increase with the rise in temperature or hydrogen content. Reduction of iron oxide pellets using an H2–CO mixture is a compound control system; the reaction rate is dominated by chemical reaction at the very beginning, competition during the reduction process subsequently, and internal gas diffusion at the end. 9^(18)F-Fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography comparison of gastric lymphoma and gastric carcinoma显示文摘AIM To compare ^(18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography(^(18)F-FDG PET/CT) features in gastric lymphoma and gastric carcinoma.METHODS Patients with newly diagnosed gastric lymphoma or gastric carcinoma who underwent ^(18)F-FDG PET/CT prior to treatment were included in this study. We reviewed and analyzed the PET/CT features of gastric wall lesions,including FDG avidity,pattern(focal/diffuse),and intensity [maximal standard uptake value:(SUVmax)]. The correlation of SUVmax with gastricclinicopathological variables was investigated by χ~2 test,and receiver-operating characteristic(ROC) curve analysis was performed to determine the differential diagnostic value of SUVmax-associated parameters in gastric lymphoma and gastric carcinoma. RESULTS Fifty-two patients with gastric lymphoma and 73 with gastric carcinoma were included in this study. Abnormal gastric FDG accumulation was found in 49 patients(94.23%) with gastric lymphoma and 65 patients(89.04%) with gastric carcinoma. Gastric lymphoma patients predominantly presented with type Ⅰ and type Ⅱ lesions,whereas gastric carcinoma patients mainly had type Ⅲ lesions. The SUVmax(13.39 ± 9.24 vs 8.35 ± 5.80,P < 0.001) and SUVmax/THKmax(maximal thickness)(7.96 ± 4.02 vs 4.88 ± 3.32,P < 0.001) were both higher in patients with gastric lymphoma compared with gastric carcinoma. 10Chaotic characteristics and attractor evolution of friction noise during friction process显示文摘Friction experiments are conducted on a ring-on-disk tribometer, and friction noise produced during the friction process is extracted by a microphone. The phase trajectory and chaotic parameters of friction noise are obtained by phase-space reconstruction, and its attractor evolution is analyzed. The results indicate that the friction noise is chaotic because the largest Lyapunov exponent is positive. The phase trajectory of the friction noise follows a 'convergence-stability-divergence' pattern during the friction process. The friction noise attractor begins forming in the running-in process, and the correlation dimension D increases gradually. In the stable process, the attractor remains steady, and D is stable. In the last step of the process, the attractor gradually disappears, and D decreases. The friction noise attractor is a chaotic attractor. 19In vivo RNAi screen identifies candidate signaling genes required for collective cell migration in Drosophila ovary显示文摘Collective migration of loosely or closely associated cell groups is prevalent in animal development, physiological events, and cancer metastasis. However, our understanding of the mechanisms of collective cell migration is incomplete. Drosophila border cells provide a powerful in vivo genetic model to study collective migration and identify essential genes for this process. Using border cell-specific RNAi-silencing in Drosophila, we knocked down 360 conserved signaling transduction genes in adult flies to identify essential pathways and genes for border cell migration. We uncovered a plethora of signaling genes, a large proportion of which had not been reported for border cells, including Rack1(Receptor of activated C kinase) and brk(brinker), mad(mother against dpp), and sax(saxophone), which encode three components of TGF-β signaling. The RNAi knock down phenotype was validated by clonal analysis of Rack1 mutants. Our data suggest that inhibition of Src activity by Rack1 may be important for border cell migration and cluster cohesion maintenance. 20First-principles calculations of Ni–(Co)–Mn–Cu–Ti all-d-metal Heusler alloy on martensitic transformation,mechanical and magnetic properties显示文摘The martensitic transformation,mechanical,and magnetic properties of the Ni_(2)Mn_(1.5-x)Cu_(x)Ti_(0.5) (x=0.125,0.25,0.375,0.5) and Ni_(2-y)Co_(y)Mn_(1.5-x)Cu_(x)Ti_(0.5)[(x=0.125,y=0.125,0.25,0.375,0.5) and (x=0.125,0.25,0.375,y=0.625)]alloys were systematically studied by the first-principles calculations.For the formation energy,the martensite is smaller than the austenite,the Ni–(Co)–Mn–Cu–Ti alloys studied in this work can undergo martensitic transformation.The austenite and non-modulated (NM) martensite always present antiferromagnetic state in the Ni_(2)Mn_(1.5-x)Cu_(x)Ti_(0.5) and Ni_(2-y)Co_(y)Mn_(1.5-x)Cu_(x)Ti_(0.5) (y<0.625) alloys.When y=0.625 in the Ni_(2-y)Co_(y)Mn_(1.5-x)Cu_(x)Ti_(0.5) series,the austenite presents ferromagnetic state while the NM martensite shows antiferromagnetic state.Cu doping can decrease the thermal hysteresis and anisotropy of the Ni–(Co)–Mn–Ti alloy.Increasing Mn and decreasing Ti content can improve the shear resistance and normal stress resistance,but reduce the toughness in the Ni–Mn–Cu–Ti alloy.And the ductility of the Co–Cu co-doping alloy is inferior to that of the Ni–Mn–Cu–Ti and Ni–Co–Mn–Ti alloys.The electronic density of states was studied to reveal the essence of the mechanical and magnetic properties.Huaxin Qi Jing Bai Miao Jin Jiaxin Xu Xin Liu Ziqi Guan Jianglong Gu Daoyong Cong Xiang Zhao Liang Zuo 2023International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,5:1
