2Speciation and fractionation of heavy metals in soil experimentally contaminated with Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn together and effects on soil negative surface charge显示文摘Speciation and fractionation of heavy metals in soil subsamples experimentally loaded with Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn in orthogonal design was investigated by sequential extraction, and operationally defined as water soluble and exchangeable(SE), weakly specific adsorbed(WSA), Fe and Mn oxides bound(OX) and organic bound(ORG). The results showed that fractions of heavy metals in the soil subsamples depended on their speciation. About 90% of Cd and 75% of Zn existed in soil subsamples in the SE fraction. Lead and Cu existed in soil subsamples as SE, WSA and OX fractions simultaneously, although SE was still the major fraction. Organic bound heavy metals were not clearly apparent in all the soil subsamples. The concentration of some heavy metal fractions in soil subsamples showed the good correlation with ionic impulsion of soil, especially for the SE fraction. Continuous saturation of soil subsamples with 0.20 mol/L NH 4Cl, which is the first step for determination of the negative surface charge of soil by the ion retention method, resulted in desorption of certain heavy metals from the soil. It was found that the percentage desorption of heavy metals from soil subsamples depended greatly on pH, the composition and original heavy metal content of the soil subsamples. However, most of the heavy metals in the soil subsamples were still be retained after multiple saturation. Compared with the parent soil, the negative surface charge of soil subsamples loaded with heavy metals did not show difference significantly from that of the parent one by statistical analysis. 3A Crucial Role of GA-Regulated Flavonol Biosynthesis in Root Growth of Arabidopsis显示文摘Flavonols have been demonstrated to play many important roles in plant growth, development, and communication with other organisms. Flavonol biosynthesis is spatiotemporally regulated by the subgroup 7 R2R3-MYB (SG7 MYB) transcription factors including MYB11/MYB12/MYB111. However, whether SG7- MYB activity is subject to post-translational regulation remains unclear. Here, we show that gibberellic acid (GA) inhibits flavonol biosynthesis via DELLA proteins in Arabidopsis. Protein-protein interaction analyses revealed that DELLAs (RGA and GAI) interacted with SG7 MYBs (MYB12 and MYB111) both in vitro and in vivo, leading to enhanced affinity of MYB binding to the promoter regions of key genes for flavonol biosynthesis and thus increasing their transcriptional levels. We observed that the level of auxin in the root tip was negatively correlated with root flavonol content. Furthermore, genetic assays showed that loss-of-function mutations in MYB 12, which is predominantly expressed in roots, partially rescued the short-root phenotype of the GA-deficient mutant ga1-3 by increasing root meristem size and mature cell size. Consistent with these observations, exogenous application of the flavonol quercetin restored the root meristem size of myb12 ga1-3 to that of ga1-3. 5Analysis of interprovincial trade embodied carbon emissions in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding provinces: based on constructed MRIO Model显示文摘The interprovincial trade embodied carbon emissions plays an important role in the national emission reduction target among China's provinces. Furthermore, it will affect the smooth start-up of the national carbon trade market as well as the implementation of targets in 2030 for dealing with the climate change. Based on constructed MRIO model, this paper analyzes the embodied carbon emission trade flows among Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and surrounding regions such as Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Inner Mongolia. The results indicate that six provinces have formed different patterns of carbon trade balance, where Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei provinces are in a deficit position, while the other three provinces are in a surplus position.Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei have transferred part of the carbon emissions to the other three provinces, which shows greater heterogeneity among various provinces and provincial different sectors. 7Sodium-rich NASICON-structured cathodes for boosting the energy density and lifespan of sodium-free-anode sodium metal batteries显示文摘Rechargeable sodium metal batteries(SMBs)have emerged as promising alternatives to commercial Li-ion batteries because of the natural abundance and low cost of sodium resources.However,the overuse of metallic sodium in conventional SMBs limits their energy densities and leads to severe safety concerns.Herein,we propose a sodium-free-anode SMB(SFA-SMB)configuration consisting of a sodium-rich Na superionic conductor-structured cathode and a bare Al/C current collector to address the above challenges.Sodiated Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)in the form of Na_(5)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)was investigated as a cathode to provide a stable and controllable sodium source in the SFA-SMB.It provides not only remarkable Coulombic efficiencies of Na plating/stripping cycles but also a highly reversible three-electron redox reaction within 1.0–3.8 V versus Na/Na+confirmed by structural/electrochemical measurements.Consequently,an ultrahigh energy density of 400 Wh kg^(-1)was achieved for the SFA-SMB with fast Na storage kinetics and impressive capacity retention of 93%after 130 cycles.A narrowed voltage window(3.0–3.8 V vs.Na/Na+)further increased the lifespan to over 300 cycles with a high retained specific energy of 320 Wh kg^(-1).Therefore,the proposed SFA-SMB configuration opens a new avenue for fabricating next-generation batteries with high energy densities and long lifetimes.Junxiong Wu Cong Lin Qinghua Liang Guodong Zhou Jiapeng Liu Gemeng Liang Man Wang Baohua Li Liang Hu Francesco Ciucci Qiang Liu Guohua Chen Xiaoliang Yu 2022InfoMat2022,4,4:2
8Rnf20 deficiency in adipocyte impairs adipose tissue development and thermogenesis显示文摘RNF20,an E3 ligase critical for monoubiquitination of histone H2B at lysine 120(H2Bub),has been implicated in the regulation of various cellar processes;however,its physiological roles in adipocytes remain poorly characterized.Here,we report that the adipocyte-specific knockout of Rnf20(ASKO)in mice led to progressive fat toss,organomegaly and hyperinsulinemia.Despite signs of hyperinsulinemia,normal insulin sensitivity and improved glucose tolerance were observed in the young and aged CD-fed ASKO mice.In addition,high-fat diet-fed ASKO mice developed severe liver steatosis.Moreover,we observed that the ASKO mice were extremely sensitive to a cold environment due to decreased expression levels of brown adipose tissue(BAT)selective genes,including uncoupling protein 1(l/cpf),and impaired mitochondrial functions.Significantly decreased levels of peroxisome proliterator-activated receptor gamma(Ppary)were observed in the gonadal white adipose tissues(gWAT)from the ASKO mice,suggesting that Rnf20 regulates adipogenesis,at least in part,through Ppary.Rosiglitazone-treated ASKO mice exhibited increased fat mass compared to that of the non-treated ASKO mice.Collectively,our results illustrate the critical role of RNF20 in control of white and brown adipose tissue development and physiological function.Xiaojuan Liang Cong Tao Jianfei Pan Lilan Zhang Lulu Liu Ying Zhao Yiping Fan Chunwei Cao Jiali Liu Jin Zhang Sin Man Lam Guanghou Shui Wanzhu Jin Wei Li Jianguo Zhao Kui Li Yanfang Wang 2021Protein & Cell2021,12,6:1

13Detection of chemical oxygen demand in water based on UV absorption spectroscopy and PSO-LSSVM algorithm显示文摘A method of detecting chemical oxygen demand(COD) of water based on ultraviolet(UV) absorption spectra is proposed. The modeling and analysis of the standard samples and the actual water samples are carried out respectively. For the standard solution samples, the univariate linear models based on single wavelengths and the partial least square(PLS) model based on synergy interval partial least square(Si PLS) and moving window partial least square(MWPLS) are established. For the actual water samples, different pre-processing methods are used. Si PLS and MWPLS are used to select the characteristic bands. The least squares support vector machine algorithm optimized by particle swarm optimization(PSO-LSSVM) algorithm is used to establish the prediction model, and the prediction results of various models are compared. The results show that the optimal model is PSO-LSSVM which uses Si PLS to select the characteristic bands of the first derivative spectra(preprocessing method). The determination coefficient of the prediction set is 0.963 1, and the root mean square error of prediction(RMSEP) is 2.225 4 mg/L. PSO-LSSVM algorithm has good prediction performance for the analysis of COD in actual water samples by UV spectra. 15Reaction Mechanism and Microstructure Evolution of Reaction Sintered h-BN显示文摘Hexagonal boron nitride ceramic(h-BN) based on the nitridation of B powders was obtained by reaction sintering method. The effects of sintering temperature on the mechanical properties and microstructure of the resultant products were investigated and the reaction mechanism was discussed. Results showed that the reaction between B and N2 occurred vigorously at temperatures ranging from 1 000 ℃ to 1 300 ℃, which resulted in the generation of t-BN. When the temperature exceeded 1 450 ℃, transformation from t-BN to h-BN began to occur. As the sintering temperature increased, the spherical particles of t-BN gradually transformed into fine sheet particles of h-BN. 16SVC bitstream adaptation in MPEG-21 multimedia framework显示文摘Scalable video coding (SVC) is the most promising video format for applications of collaborative communication. MPEG-21 standard has newly emerged to enable the interoperability of multimedia delivery in heterogeneous environments. In this paper we study adaptation of SVC bitstream in the context of MPEG-21 multimedia framework. For interfacing SVC bit- stream with MPEG-21 based adaptation system, we propose three SVC specific adaptation operators. Based on our previous work with multidimensional video adaptation, we present an effective approach, using MPEG-21 DIA AdaptationQoS description tool, to model QoS control for SVC adaptation. Then we show how the operator values could be computed from that representation. For the actual adaptation at bitstream level, we propose a procedure to remove the unnecessary NAL units from an SVC bitstream. 17Analysis on influencing factors of detecting chemical oxygen demand in water by three-dimensional spectroscopy显示文摘This paper focuses on the standard chemical oxygen demand(COD)liquid and studies the impact of pH,nitrite nitrogen,nitrate nitrogen,heavy metals,salinity,and other factors on fluorescence intensity and fluorescence peak positions during the detection of COD in water using fluorescence spectrometry.The influence mechanisms of different environmental factors on fluorescence spectra are also analyzed.Results indicate that pH value affects the fluorescence emission wavelength(Em),resulting in a red shift from 1.5 to 7.2,and a blue shift from 7.2 to 12.3.Nitrate nitrogen can react with organic matter in water to form nitro compounds,leading to a decrease in fluorescence intensity.Salinity has a negligible effect on T1 peak but a relatively large effect on T2 peak.Heavy metal ion concentration has a significant impact on T2 peak,while T1 peak position shifts with an increase in heavy metal ions.This study aims to explore the factors that can impact the detection of COD in water using three-dimensional fluorescence spectrometry,providing references to improve accuracy and practicability for COD detection based on three-dimensional fluorescence spectrometry.ZHOU Kunpeng LIU Zhiyang CONG Menglong MAN Shanxin 2024Optoelectronics Letters2024,20,1:0
18The galaxy luminosity function in the LAMOST Complete Spectroscopic Survey of Pointing Area at the Southern Galactic Cap显示文摘We present optical luminosity functions(LFs) of galaxies in the0.1 g,0.1 r,0.1 i bands, calculated using data in40 deg2 sky area of the LAMOST Complete Spectroscopic Survey of Pointing Area(LaCoSSPAr) in the Southern Galactic Cap. Redshifts for galaxies brighter than r = 18.1 were obtained mainly with LAMOST. In each band, LFs derived using both parametric and non-parametric maximum likelihood methods agree well with each other. In the0.1 r band, our fitting parameters of the Schechter function are φ*=(1.65 ± 0.36) × 10-2 h3 Mpc-3, M*=-20.69 ± 0.06 mag and α =-1.12 ± 0.08,which agree with previous studies. Separate LFs are also derived for emission line galaxies and absorption line galaxies. 19Analysis on influencing factors of detecting chemical oxygen demand in water by ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy显示文摘Taking the standard solution and actual water samples as the research object, this paper studies the influence of various environmental factors(temperature, alkalinity(pH), inorganic salt ions and salinity) on the detection of chemical oxygen demand(COD) in water by ultra-violet(UV) spectrometry, analyzes the influence mechanism, and draws relevant conclusions. The results show that the UV absorbance of the COD standard solution and the actual river water samples varies very little with temperature. The value of pH has certain impact on both the standard solution and the actual water samples, but the pH values of the affected experimental samples are in different ranges. The effects of nitrogen salt ions(NO_(2)^(-)and NO_(3)^(-)) on the UV absorption spectra can be eliminated by intercepting the UV spectrum interval less affected for modeling. The influence of salinity values below 35‰ on the UV absorption spectrum of water is mainly concentrated in the spectral band of 200—250 nm, and the influence above 250 nm is very little. 20HMMR alleviates endoplasmic reticulum stress by promoting autophagolysosomal activity during endoplasmic reticulum stress-driven hepatocellular carcinoma progression显示文摘Background The mechanism of hepatitis B virus(HBV)-induced carcinogenesis remains an area of interest.The accumulation of hepatitis B surface antigen in the endoplasmic reticulum(ER)of hepatocytes stimulates persistent ER stress.Activity of the unfolded protein response(UPR)pathway of ER stress may play an important role in inflammatory cancer transformation.How the protective UPR pathway is hijacked by cells as a tool for malignant transformation in HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is still unclear.Here,we aimed to define the key molecule hyaluronan-mediated motility receptor(HMMR)in this process and explore its role under ER stress in HCC development.Methods An HBV-transgenic mouse model was used to characterize the pathological changes during the tumor progression.Proteomics and transcriptomics analyses were performed to identify the potential key molecule,screen the E3 ligase,and define the activation pathway.Quantitative real-time PCR and Western blotting were conducted to detect the expression of genes in tissues and cell lines.Luciferase reporter assay,chromatin immunoprecipitation,coimmunoprecipitation,immunoprecipitation,and immunofluorescence were employed to investigate the molecular mechanisms of HMMR under ER stress.Immunohistochemistry was used to clarify the expression patterns of HMMR and related molecules in human tissues.Results We found sustained activation of ER stress in the HBV-transgenic mouse model of hepatitis-fibrosis-HCC.HMMR was transcribed by c/EBP homologous protein(CHOP)and degraded by tripartite motif containing 29(TRIM29)after ubiquitination under ER stress,which caused the inconsistent expression of mRNA and protein.Dynamic expression of TRIM29 in the HCC progression regulated the dynamic expression of HMMR.HMMR could alleviate ER stress by increasing autophagic lysosome activity.The negative correlation between HMMR and ER stress,positive correlation between HMMR and autophagy,and negative correlation between ER stress and autophagy were verified in human tissues.Conclusions This study identified the complicated role of HMMR in autophagy and ER stress,that HMMR controls the intensity of ER stress by regulating autophagy in HCC progression,which could be a novel explanation for HBV-related carcinogenesis.Lin He Hao Li Can Li Ze-Kun Liu Meng Lu Ren-Yu Zhang Dong Wu Ding Wei Jie Shao Man Liu Hao-Lin Wei Cong Zhang Zhe Wang Ling-Min Kong Zhi-Nan Chen Huijie Bian 2023Cancer Communications2023,43,9:0
