| 1 | 儿童急性呼吸窘迫综合征的治疗进展(英文)显示文摘急性呼吸窘迫综合征(ARDS)是一种具有复杂病理和发病机制的异质性综合征,目前仍没有一个明确和有效的治疗对策。根据低氧血症程度,ARDS分成三类:轻度(200mmHg〈氧合指数≤300mmHg)、中度(100mmHg〈氧合指数≤200mmHg)、严重(氧合指数≤100mmHg)。治疗ARDS的基础是正确的重症监护治疗。早期管理可以改善预后,避免副作用和并发症,并提高存活率。治疗诱因(如败血症、肺炎),最大限度地减少多器官功能衰竭(MOF)、功能障碍和呼吸机相关性肺损伤(VILI)的风险在治疗过程中是至关重要的。 | Giuseppe A. | 3 | Evidence for lung repair and regeneration in humans: key stem cells and therapeutic functions of fibroblast growth factors显示文摘Regeneration carries the idea of regrowing partially or completely a missing organ.Repair,on the other hand,allows restoring the function of an existing but failing organ.The recognition that human lungs can both repair and regenerate is quite novel,the concept has not been widely used to treat patients.We present evidence that the human adult lung does repair and regenerate and introduce different ways to harness this power.Various types of lung stem cells are capable of proliferating and differentiating upon injury driving the repair/regeneration process.Injury models,primarily in mice,combined with lineage tracing studies,have allowed the identification of these important cells.Some of these cells,such as basal cells,broncho-alveolar stem cells,and alveolar type 2 cells,rely on fibroblast growth factor (FGF) signaling for their survival,proliferation and/or differentiation.While preclinical studies have shown the therapeutic benefits of FGFs,a recent clinical trial for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) using intravenous injection of FGF7 did not report the expected beneficial effects.We discuss the potential reasons for these negative results and propose the rationale for new approaches for future clinical trials,such as delivery of FGFs to the damaged lungs through efficient inhalation systems,which may be more promising than systemic exposure to FGFs.While this change in the administration route presents a challenge,the therapeutic promises displayed by FGFs are worth the effort. | Xuran Chu Chengshui Chen Chaolei Chen Jin-San Zhang Saverio Bellusci Xiaokun Li | 2020 | Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,3: | 1 |
| 4 | Effect of nocistatin in pain modulation显示文摘Using tail-flick latency as the nociceptive index and von Frey hair to measure the mechanical allodynia, the aim of the present study is to determine whether nocistatin, injected intracerebroventricularly (i.c.v.), would reverse the anti-morphine effect of orphanin FQ (OFQ), and, injected i.c.v. or intrathecally (i.t.), would inhibit the mechanical allodynia in a L5 and L6 spinal nerve ligation model of neuropathic pain in rats. The results show that i.c.v. injection of nocistatin produces no significant changes in the TFL, nor does it affect morphine analgesia. in addition, i.c.v. or i.t. nocistatin produces no significant changes in withdrawal threshold of the nerve-lesioned hind paw. However, nocistatin significantly reverses the antagonistic effect of OFQ on morphine analgesia when it was coinjected i.c.v. with OFQ. | 6 | Design and Experimental Testing of an Electric Field-Driven Droplet Injection Device显示文摘The properties of droplets produced by existing on-demand injection systems are typically determined by the nozzle diameter,i.e.,only droplets with size larger than this diameter can be obtained.To solve this problem,a system for electricfield-driven droplet injection and deposition was developed,and the related performances were compared with those of a standard pneumatic system.The results show that the diameter of droplets gen-erated accordingly can be significantly smaller than the nozzle diameter.In particular,the effects of frequency and duty ratio on the number of droplets were studied by assuming microcrystalline wax as work material.A deposi-tion matrix was obtained by using a nozzle with a diameter of 200μm.The average diameter of the matrix was 80.17μm with a standard deviation of 2.65μm and the average spacing was 301.25μm with a standard deviation of 6.80μm.Four deposition states after droplet injection were considered and verified under different velocities of F60,F10,F3,and F0.We also provide an explanation for the existence of a series of inclined columns showing up during the deposition processs. | Fulai Cao Yanpu Chao Hao Yi Shuai Lu Chengshui Guo | 2023 | Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2023,19,11: | 0 |
