1Effects of livestock exclusion and climate change on aboveground biomass accumulation in alpine pastures across the Northern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘To better understand the ecological and economic benefits of short-term grazing exclusion on the aboveground net primary productivity(ANPP)of alpine pastures,we conducted annual multi-site transect surveys in the summers from 2009 to 2011 and calculated the aboveground biomass discrepancy(ABD)between grazed and ungrazed pastures at plant community and economic group levels for three zonal alpine grassland types—meadow,steppe,and desert-steppe—across the northern Tibetan Plateau.Our results indicated that aboveground biomass(AGB)significantly differed among grassland types and declined northwesterly from 64.07 to11.44 g m-2with decreasing precipitation and increasing temperature.The mean ABD exhibited considerable community dependency,with meadow(12.47 g m-2)[steppe(6.91 g m-2)[desert steppe(2.54 g m-2),and it declined from 25.42 to 1.29 g m-2with decreasing precipitation and increasing temperature.‘Good forage’,i.e.grasses and sedges,benefited most from grazing exclusion,followed by edible forbs.With longer grazing exclusion durations(GEDs),the aboveground biomass of poisonous locoweeds initially decreased and then increased compared with the adjacent grazed sites.In the nested analysis of co-variances with a general linear model,growing season precipitation(GSP;from May to September)accounted for 52.67%ofthe observed variation in AGB,followed by AGT(9.77%)and pasture management systems(PMSs;grazing or grazing-excluded,5.31%).The variation in ABD was explained primarily by AGT(16.52%),GED(20.25%),and the interaction of AGT 9 GED(19.58%).Our results confirm that precipitation is the primary factor controlling the ANPP of alpine grasslands on the Northern Tibetan Plateau and that the ecological benefits arising from grazing exclusion are also partly dependent on grassland type and exclusion duration.Therefore,spatial and temporal variations in growing season precipitation and plant functional traits or economic group composition should be jointly considered when developing policies concerning the management and spatial layouts of grazing exclosures in this region.Jianshuang Wu Xianzhou Zhang Zhenxi Shen Peili Shi Chengqun Yu Baoxiong Chen 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,32:11
2Azobenzene/graphene hybrid for high-density solar thermal storage by optimizing molecular structure显示文摘A large capacity storing solar energy as latent heat in a close-cycle is essentially important for solar thermal fuels. This paper presents a solar thermal molecule model of a photo-isomerizable azobenzene(Azo) molecule covalently bound to graphene. The storage capacity of the Azo depending on isomerization enthalpy(ΔH) is calculated based on density functional theory. The result indicates that the ΔH of Azo molecules on the graphene can be tuned by electronic interaction, steric hindrance and molecular hydrogen bonds(H-bonds). Azo with the withdrawing group on the ortho-position of the free benzene shows a relatively high ΔH due to resonance effect. Moreover, the H-bonds on the trans-isomer largely increase ΔH because they stabilize the trans-isomer at a low energy. 2-hydroxy-4-carboxyl-2′,6′,-dimethylamino-Azo/graphene shows the maximum ΔH up to 1.871 e V(107.14 Wh kg^(-1)), which is 125.4% higher than Azo without functional groups. 4Kernel matrix learning with a general regularized risk functional criterion显示文摘Kernel-based methods work by embedding the data into a feature space and then searching linear hypothesis among the embedding data points. The performance is mostly affected by which kernel is used. A promising way is to learn the kernel from the data automatically. A general regularized risk functional (RRF) criterion for kernel matrix learning is proposed. Compared with the RRF criterion, general RRF criterion takes into account the geometric distributions of the embedding data points. It is proven that the distance between different geometric distributions can be estimated by their centroid distance in the reproducing kernel Hilbert space. Using this criterion for kernel matrix learning leads to a convex quadratically constrained quadratic programming (QCQP) problem. For several commonly used loss functions, their mathematical formulations are given. 5A rhizobia strain isolated from root nodule of gymno-sperm Podocarpus macrophyllus显示文摘Symbiotic nitrogen fixation of rhizobia and leguminous plants is considered as the most important biologic nitrogen fixation system on earth. Symbiotic nodulation of gymnosperm Podocarpus macro-phyllus and rhizobia has never been reported. In this study, 11 endophytic bacteria strains were isolated from root nodules of P. macrophyllus and its variation P. macrophyllus var. maki. The plant infection tests on these strains indicated that the isolated strains could be nodulated on P. macrophyllus plants, and weak nitrogenase activity of nodules was found in acetylene reduction method. 6Grazing alters environmental control mechanisms of evapotranspiration in an alpine meadow of the tibetan Plateau显示文摘Aims Evapotranspiration(Et)is an important component of the terrestrial water cycle and is easily affected by external disturbances,such as climate change and grazing.Identifying Et responses to grazing is instructive for determining grazing activity and informative for understanding the water cycle.Methods this study utilized 2 years(2014 and 2017)of eddy covariance data to test how grazing regulated Et for an alpine meadow ecosystem on the tibetan Plateau(tP)by path analysis.Important Findings Radiation dominated Et with a decision coefficient of 64-74%.the soil water content(SWc)worked as the limiting factor in the fenced site.However,in the grazing site,the limiting factor was the vapor pressure deficit(VPD).Grazing had large effects on Et because it greatly affected the water conditions.the SWc and VPD were enhanced by 14.63%and 4.36%in the grazing site,respectively.therefore,sufficient water was supplied to Et,especially during drought,and strengthened the transpiration pull.As a result,a favorable micrometeorological environment was created for Et.Grazing shifted the limiting factor of Et from the SWc to VPD,which weakened the limiting effect of the water conditions on Et and advanced the Et peak time.In addition,grazing altered the compositions of Et by changing the community structure,which directly resulted in an increased Et.In summary,grazing enhanced Et through altering the community structure and micrometeorological environments.the findings of this study further improve our understanding of the driving mechanisms of grazing on Et and will improve our predictions for the global water cycle.Tingting An Mingjie Xu Tao Zhang Chengqun Yu Yingge Li Ning Chen Jiaxing Zu Junxiang Li Juntao Zhu Yi Sun Tingting Zhao Guirui Yu 2019Journal of Plant Ecology2019,12,5:3

16High-speed, large-area and high-precision fabrication of aspheric micro-lens array based on 12-bit direct laser writing lithography显示文摘Aspheric micro-lens array(AMLA),featured with low dispersion and diffraction-limited imaging quality,plays an important role in advanced optical imaging.Ideally,the fabrication of commercially applicable AMLAs should feature low cost,high precision,large area and high speed.However,these criteria have been achieved only partially with conventional fabrication process.Herein,we demonstrate the fabrication and characterization of AMLAs based on 12-bit direct laser writing lithography,which exhibits a high fabrication speed,large area,perfect lens shape control via a three-dimensional optical proximity correction and average surface roughness lower than 6 nm.In particular,the AMLAs can be flexibly designed with customized filling factor and arbitrary off-axis operation for each single micro-lens,and the proposed pattern transfer approach with polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)suggests a low-cost way for mass manufacturing.An auto-stereoscopic-display flexible thin film with excellent display effect has been prepared by using above technology,which exhibits a new way to provide flexible auto-stereoscopic-display at low cost.In brief,the demonstrated fabrication of AMLAs based on direct laser writing lithography reduce the complexity of AMLA fabrication while significantly increasing their performance,suggesting a new route for high-quality three-dimentional optical manufacturing towards simplified fabrication process,high precision and large scale.Shiyi Luan Fei Peng Guoxing Zheng Chengqun Gui Yi Song Sheng Liu 2022Light(Advanced Manufacturing)2022,3,4:0
17The Xin'an School of Neo-Confucianism and the Institutionalizing of the Patriarchal Families in the Huizhou District in the Yuan Dynasty显示文摘The Song-Yuan (960-1368) period is crucial for the formation of patriarchal families in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Therefore,the study of the Huizhou society at the Ming-Qing period cannot afford to neglect the influences of the Song-Yuan tradition.In the Song-Yuan period,Huizhou was one of the most flourishing districts for the development of Neo-Confucianism as well as for the construction of patriarchal families.The Neo-Confucianism in the Huizhou district-the Xin'an School of Neo-Confucianism-belongs to the transition to secularism in Zhu Xi Studies;moreover,this secularization process is closely related to the institutionalizing of patriarchal families.The transformation of academic Neo-Confucian studies into secular ceremonial rites and regulations was among the serious concerns by Zhu Xi in his later years.In doing so,Zhu Xi established a set of rites for the plebeian patriarchal families-The Family Rituals,which had become the guidelines for Neo-Confucians in the secularizing process of Zhu Xi Studies.The Family Rituals consist of four major aspects:the capping ceremony,weddings,funerals,and sacrificial rites.Just like the funerals,the sacrificial rites in the ancestral hall,among others,would strengthen the patriarchal consciousness of each member.In other words,the secularization of Zhu Xi's ritual system provided institutional guarantee as well as spiritual solidarity for the construction of patriarchal families. In this paper, feature points are divided into dynamic and staticfrom semantic information and multi-view geometry information, and then static region featurepoints are added to the pose-optimization, and static scene maps are established for dynamicscenes. 19Long noncoding RNA TMEM147-AS1 serves as a microRNA-326 sponge to aggravate the malignancy of gastric cancer by upregulating SMAD5显示文摘The abnormal expression of long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)is frequently observed in gastric cancer(GC)and considered an important driving force in GC progression.However,little is known regarding the involvement of TMEM147-AS1 in GC.Therefore,we examined TMEM147-AS1 expression in GC and determined its prognostic value.In addition,TMEM147-AS1 expression was depleted to identify the functional changes in response to TMEM147-AS1 deficiency.Using the cancer genome atlas dataset and our own cohort,we identified a strong expression of TMEM147-AS1 in GC.Increased TMEM147-AS1 levels in GC showed a significant association with poor prognosis.TMEM147-AS1 interference resulted in the inhibition of GC cell proliferation,colony-forming,migration,and invasion in vitro.Additionally,depletion of TMEM147-AS1 restricted the growth of GC cells in vivo.Mechanistically,TMEM147-AS1 functioned as a microRNA-326(miR-326)sponge.Furthermore,SMAD family member 5(SMAD5)was experimentally validated as the functional effector of miR-326.TMEM147-AS1 was demonstrated to sequester miR-326 away from SMAD5;consequently,knocking down TMEM147-AS1 downregulated SMAD5 levels in GC cells.The functional suppression of miR-326 or reintroduction of SMAD5 effectively reversed the attenuated behavior of GC cells caused by TMEM147-AS1 downregulation.In summary,TMEM147-AS1 exhibits tumorigenic activities in GC,which is likely the result of an altered miR-326/SMAD5 axis.Therefore,targeting TMEM147-AS1/miR-326/SMAD5 may represent a target for the treatment of GC.XUFU QIN ZIYE JIANG YONGCUI ZHU HONGPENG XUE CHENGQUN WEI 2021Oncology Research2021,29,4:0
