1In-situ trace element analyses of zircons from Dabieshan Huangzhen eclogite:Trace element characteristics of eclogite-facies metamorphic zircon显示文摘The internal structures of zircons in eclogite from Huangzhen have been studied by cathodoluminescence (CL) microscopy. Two growth stages were distinguished: protolith magmatic cores and metamorphic overgrowth rims. These different domains were analyzed for trace elements using LAM-ICP-MS. The protolith and the overgrowth zircons have different trace elements characteristics. The trace element contents of protolith zircons are high and very variable. The overgrowth zircons show a typical trace element feature of equilibrium with garnet, e.g. low contents of HREE (132.2-197.6μg/g) and small differential degree of HREE ((Yb/Gd)cN=8.6-11.9). The contents of Nb, Ta and the ratio of Nb/Ta are lower in the metamorphic domains (0.5-1.4μg/g, 0.7-1.5μg/g, 0.3-1.3, respectively) than in the protolith domains (3.8-19.7μg/g, 2.7-12.1μg/g, 1.0-4.6, respectively). 2Use of various CT imaging methods for diagnosis of acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease显示文摘Thirty-four patients with cerebral infarction and 18 patients with transient ischemic attack were examined by multi-slice spiral CT scan, CT perfusion imaging, and CT angiography within 6 hours after onset. By CT perfusion imaging, 29 cases in the cerebral infarction group and 10 cases in the transient ischemic attack group presented with abnormal blood flow perfusion, which corresponded to the clinical symptoms. By CT angiography, various degrees of vascular stenosis could be detected in 41 patients, including 33 in the cerebral infarction group and eight in the transient ischemic attack group. The incidence of intracranial artery stenosis was higher than that of extracranial artery stenosis. The intracranial artery stenosis was located predominantly in the middle cerebral artery and carotid artery siphon, while the extracranial artery stenosis occurred mainly in the bifurcation of the common carotid artery and the opening of the vertebral artery. There were 34 cases (83%) with convict vascular stenosis and perfusion abnormalities, and five cases (45%) with perfusion abnormalities but without convict vascular stenosis. The incidence of cerebral infarction in patients with National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale scores ≥ 5 points during onset was significantly higher than that in patients with National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale scores < 5 points. These experimental findings indicate that the combined application of various CT imaging methods allows early diagnosis of acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease, which can comprehensively analyze the pathogenesis and severity of acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease at the morphological and functional levels.Gang Wang Xue Cheng Xianglin Zhang 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,7:20
3Irinotecan plus S-1 versus S-1 in patients with previously treated recurrent or metastatic esophageal cancer(ESWN 01):a prospective randomized,multicenter,open-labeled phase 3 trial显示文摘Background:The benefit of systemic treatments in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)which has pro-gressed after chemotherapy is still uncertain and optimal regimens based on randomized trials have not yet been established.We aimed to compare the efficacy of irinotecan plus S-1 with S-1 monotherapy in recurrent or metastatic ESCC patients who had resistance to platinum-or taxane-based chemotherapy.Methods:We conducted a prospective randomized,multicenter,open-label,phase 3 trial in 15 centers across China.Eligible patients were adults with histologically confirmed recurrent or metastatic ESCC,and were randomly assigned(ratio,1:1)to receive either irinotecan plus S-1(intravenous infusion of irinotecan[160 mg/m2]on day 1 and oral S-1[80-120 mg]on days 1-10,repeated every 14 days)or oral S-1 monotherapy(80-120 mg/day on days 1-14,repeated every 21 days)using a central computerized minimization procedure.The primary endpoint was progression-free survival(PFS).Results:Between December 23,2014 and July 25,2016,we screened 148 patients and randomly assigned 123 patients to receive either irinotecan plus S-1 regimen(n=61)or S-1 monotherapy(n=62).After a median follow-up of 29.2 months(95%confidence interval[CI]17.5-40.9 months),the median PFS was significantly longer in the irinotecan plus S-1 group than in the S-1 monotherapy group(3.8 months[95%CI 2.9-4.3 months]vs.1.7 months[95%CI 1.4-2.7 months],hazard ratio=0.58,95%CI 0.38-0.86,P=0.006).The objective response rates were 24.6%in the irinotecan plus S-1 group and 9.7%in the S-1 monotherapy group(P=0.002).The patients in the irinotecan plus S-1 group presented with increased rates of grade 3-4 leukopenia(16.4%vs.0%),neutropenia(14.8%vs.1.6%),and nausea(4.9%vs.0%).No significant difference in grade 3-4 diarrhea and no treatment-related deaths were observed in both groups.Conclusions: The combination of irinotecan with S-1 was similarly tolerable but significantly prolonged PFS compared to S-1 monotherapy as a second- or third-line treatment in patients with recurrent or metastatic ESCC.Jing Huang Binghe Xu Ying Liu Junxing Huang Ping Lu Yi Ba Lin Wu Yuxian Bai Shu Zhang Jifeng Feng Ying Cheng Jie Li Lu Wen Xianglin Yuan Changwu Ma Chunhong Hu Qingxia Fan Xi Wang 2019Cancer Communications2019,39,1:8

6Efficacy and safety of berberine in the prophylactic treatment of acute radiation proctitis in postoperative patients with cervical cancer:a randomized controlled study显示文摘Objective The aiom of this study was to study the efficacy and safety of berberine as a prophylactic treatment of acute radiation proctitis in postoperative patients with cervical cancer.Methods A total of 120 postoperative patients with cervical cancer were enrolled between July 2016 and October 2019,and randomly divided into a treatment group(berberine 300 mg three times a day,n=60)and a control group(receiving vitamin C tablets,100 mg three times a day;n=60)using the random number table method.All patients received pelvic intensity-modulated radiation therapy(IMRT)and concurrent sensitizing chemotherapy weekly.The difference in the percentage of irradiation volume to the rectum and small intestine as well as the incidence,onset time,severity,and duration of acute radiation proctitis and cystitis during radiotherapy were compared between the two groups.The completion rate,completion time,number of chemotherapy sessions,and quality of life during radiotherapy were also compared.Results There were no statistical differences in age,FIGO stage,pathological type,complications,highrisk factors,and rectum and small intestine irradiation dose distribution(V20,V30,V40,and V50)between the two groups(P>0.05).No acute radiation proctitis of grade 3 or above occurred in the two groups.There was no significant difference in the incidence of acute radiation cystitis,grade 2 acute radiation proctitis,completion rate of IMRT,and frequency of sensitization chemotherapy between the two groups.After prophylactic treatment with berberine,the incidence of grade 1 acute radiation proctitis,occurrence of grade 1 radiation proctitis,and completion time of radiotherapy in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The SF-36 score of the treatment group after radiotherapy was 67.53±4.21,which was significantly better than that of the control group(64.90±6.32;P<0.05).The incidence of grade 3-4 neutropenia in the treatment group was 10%and lower than that in the control group(31.7%,P=0.003).No adverse reactions related to berberine were observed.Conclusion Prophylactic prescription with oral berberine can reduce the incidence,onset time,and duration of grade 1 acute radiation proctitis,and improve the quality of life of postoperative patients with cervical cancer receiving concurrent chemoradiotherapy.Kai Qin Yi Cheng Xianglin Yuan Jing Zhang Le Huang 2021Oncology and Translational Medicine2021,7,1:2
7Eutectic effect during mesophase formation in co-carbonization of ethylene tar pitch and polystyrene显示文摘Ethylene tar pitch was co-carbonized with waste polystyrene to prepare mesophase pitch.The characteristics of mesophase pitches were examined using polarized light optical microscopy,apparent viscometry,Fourier transform infrared spectrometry,1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry,and X-ray diffractometry.The properties of the mesophase pitch were greatly improved because of the eutectic effect.The soluble content increased from 5% to 56%,the mesophase itself increased from 32% to 100%,and the optical texture was changed from a coarse mosaic into a flow domain after the waste polystyrene was added to the ethylene tar pitch.The apparent viscosity showed that the mesophase pitch changed from thixotropic to Newtonian suggesting improved rheological behavior during co-carbonization.The increased number of alkyl groups,which are mainly methylene groups,altered the molecular structure of the mesophase pitch in a way that resulted in the eutectic effect.Cheng Xianglin Song Shulei 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,2:2
8Polymerization Kinetics and Stabilization Mechanism of the Monodisperse PMMA Microspheres显示文摘The effects of the concentration of monomer, crosslinking agent, initiator, stabilizer, and the polarity of medium on the polymerization kinetics were investigated. The results show that the rate of polymerization (Rp) and conversion increased with the increase of monomer concentration from 8% to 15% (total mass); the water content in dispersion medium and the initiator 2, 2′ -azobis (isobutyronitrile) (AIBN) concentration increased as well. Rp and conversion decreases with the increase of PVP when it is low, while it increases when it is high. Moreover, PVP plays an important role in microsphere stabilization. The stabilization mechanism was investigated primarily, which involves both adsorbing mechanism and graft mechanism. Within a certain range of crosslinking degree, Rp and conversion increased with the increase of the crosslinker concentration. 11Structures,properties,and challenges of emerging 2D materials in bioelectronics and biosensors显示文摘Bioelectronics are powerful tools for monitoring and stimulating biological and biochemical processes,with applications ranging from neural interface simulation to biosensing.The increasing demand for bioelectronics has greatly promoted the development of new nanomaterials as detection platforms.Recently,owing to their ultrathin structures and excellent physicochemical properties,emerging two-dimensional(2D)materials have become one of the most researched areas in the fields of bioelectronics and biosensors.In this timely review,the physicochemical structures of the most representative emerging 2D materials and the design of their nanostructures for engineering highperformance bioelectronic and biosensing devices are presented.We focus on the structural optimization of emerging 2D material-based composites to achieve better regulation for enhancing the performance of bioelectronics.Subsequently,the recent developments of emerging 2D materials in bioelectronics,such as neural interface simulation,biomolecular/biomarker detection,and skin sensors are discussed thoroughly.Finally,we provide conclusive views on the current challenges and future perspectives on utilizing emerging 2D materials and their composites for bioelectronics and biosensors.This review will offer important guidance in designing and applying emerging 2D materials in bioelectronics,thus further promoting their prospects in a wide biomedical field.Fan Chen Qing Tang Tian Ma Bihui Zhu Liyun Wang Chao He Xianglin Luo Sujiao Cao Lang Ma Chong Cheng 2022InfoMat2022,4,5:1

19Prognostic risk model construction and prognostic biomarkers identification in esophageal adenocarcinoma based on immune-related long noncoding RNA显示文摘Objective The aim of this study was to construct a prognostic model of esophageal adenocarcinoma(EAC)based on immune-related long noncoding RNAs(immune-related lncRNAs)and identify prognostic biomarkers using the Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)database.Methods Whole genomic mRNA expression and clinical data of esophageal adenocarcinoma were obtained from the TCGA database.The software Strawberry Perl,R and R packets were used to identify the immune-related genes and lncRNAs of esophageal adenocarcinoma,and for data processing and analysis.The differentially expressed lncRNAs were detected while comparing esophageal adenocarcinoma and normal tissue samples.The key immune-related lncRNAs were screened using lasso regression analysis and univariate cox regression analysis,and used to construct the prognostic model using multivariate cox regression analysis.To evaluate the accuracy of the risk prognostic model,all esophageal adenocarcinomas were divided into high-risk and low-risk groups according to the median risk score,after which Kaplan-Meier(K-M)survival curves,operating characteristic(ROC)curve and independent prognostic analysis of clinical traits were created.In addition,statistically significant immune-related lncRNAs and potential prognostic biomarkers were identified using the prognostic model and multifactor cox regression analysis for k-m survival analysis.Results A total of 1322 differentially expressed immune-related lncRNAs were identified,28 of which were associated with prognosis via univariate cox regression analysis.In addition,K-M survival analysis showed that the total survival time of the higher risk group was significantly shorter than that of the lower risk group(P=1.063e-10).The area under the ROC curve of 5-year total survival rate was 0.90.The risk score showed independent prognostic risk for esophageal adenocarcinoma via single factor and multifactorial independent prognostic analyses.In addition,the HR and 95%CI of each key immune-related lncRNA were calculated using multivariate Cox regression.Using k-m survival analysis,we found that 5 out of 12 key significant immune-related lncRNAs had independent prognostic value[AL136115.1(P=0.006),AC079684.1(P=0.008),AC07916394.1(P=0.0386),AC087620.1(P=0.041)and MIRLET7BHG(P=0.044)].Conclusion The present study successfully constructed a prognostic model of esophageal adenocarcinoma based on the TCGA database,with moderate predictive accuracy.The model consisted of the expression level of 12 immune-related lncRNAs.Furthermore,the study identified one favorable prognostic biomarker,MIRLET7BHG,and four poor prognostic biomarkers(AL136115.1,AC079684.1,AC016394.1,and AC087620.1).Kai Qin Yi Cheng Jing Zhang Xianglin Yuan Jianhua Wang Jian Bai 2020Oncology and Translational Medicine2020,6,3:0
20Microglial TRPV1 in epilepsy:Is it druggable for new antiepileptic treatment?显示文摘Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological diseases worldwide with a high prevalence and unknown pathogenesis.Further,its control is challenging.It is generally accepted that an imbalance between the excitatory and inhibitory properties of the central nervous system(CNS)leads to a large number of abnormally synchronized neuronal discharges in the brain.Transient receptor potential vanilloid protein type 1(TRPV1)is a non-selective cation channel that contributes to the regulation of the nervous system and influences the excitability of the nervous system.This includes the release of neurotransmitters,action potential generation due to alterations in ion channels,synaptic transmission,and the changes in glial cells.There is abundant evidence that TRPV1 is widely expressed in the central nervous system(including microglia)and is involved in the development of epilepsy through neuroinflammation.In conclusion,microglial TRPV1 participates in neuroinflammatory reactions and functions as a potential proinflammatory mediator.This presents a novel treatment approach to regulate seizures brought on by neuroinflammation.JIAO HU JIALU MO XIANGLIN CHENG 2023BIOCELL2023,47,8:0
