Molecularly tagged genes and quantitative trait loci in cucumber with recommendations for QTL nomenclature显示文摘Cucumber,Cucumis sativus L.(2n=2x=14),is an important vegetable crop worldwide. It was the first specialty crop with a publicly available draft genome. Its relatively small, diploid genome, short life cycle, and selfcompatible mating system offers advantages for genetic studies. In recent years, significant progress has been made in molecular mapping, and identification of genes and QTL responsible for key phenotypic traits, but a systematic review of the work is lacking. Here,we conducted an extensive literature review on mutants, genes and QTL that have been molecularly mapped or characterized in cucumber. We documented 81 simply inherited trait genes or major-effect QTL that have been cloned or fine mapped. For each gene, detailed information was compiled including chromosome locations, allelic variants and associated polymorphisms, predicted functions, and diagnostic markers that could be used for marker-assisted selection in cucumber breeding. We also documented 322 QTL for 42 quantitative traits, including 109 for disease resistances against seven pathogens.By alignment of these QTL on the latest version of cucumber draft genomes, consensus QTL across multiple studies were inferred, which provided insights into heritable correlations among different traits.Through collaborative efforts among public and private cucumber researchers,we identified 130 quantitative traits and developed a set of recommendations for QTL nomenclature in cucumber. This is the first attempt to systematically summarize, analyze and inventory cucumber mutants, cloned or mapped genes and QTL,which should be a useful resource for the cucurbit research community. | Yuhui Wang Kailiang Bo Xingfang Gu Junsong Pan Yuhong Li Jinfeng Chen Changlong Wen Zhonghai Ren Huazhong Ren Xuehao Chen Rebecca Grumet Yiqun Weng | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 2

FORMATION OF HEXAGONAL Co_(2—3)C IN Co BY CARBON ION IMPLANTATION显示文摘Co thin films were subjected to 50 keV carbon ion implantation. At the dose of 2.5×1017/cm2,a hexagonal Co-carbide phase was observed for the first time. The lattice con-stants from electron diffraction are a=0.2685 nm and c=0.4335 nm.The phase does not dis-appear until the dose of 9×1017/cm2.Auger spectra showed that the stoichiometry wasCo2-3C.The behavior of the ferromagnetic carbides along the descending sequence ofNi-Fe-Co by Fermi energy of solids was interpreted.Furthermore, based on the kinetic con-dition of phase transformation and the band theory of solids,a possible explanation about thedifference of the results of ion-metallurgy and thermal metallurgy was proposed. | WANG Jian WU Xingfang CHEN Xunping CAI Jun University of Science and Technology Beijing,Beijing,China LIU Baixin Tsinghua University,Beijing,China FANG Zhengzhi Beijing Institute of Space Physics,Academia Sinica,Beijing,China | 1992 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)1992,5,2: | 1

BUTTERFLY MARTENSITE NUCLEATION IN AN Fe-Ni-V-C ALLOY显示文摘The butterfly martensite nuclei in an Fe-Ni-V-C alloy were observed under TEM,they con-sist of enveloping dislocations with Burger’s vector(1/2)[(?)]fcc and arrays of dislocationswith Burger’s vector(1/2)[(?)10]fcc piled up within the former. The enveloping dislocationsand the arrays of dislocations provide the required shear when the planes((?)11)fccmove witheach other to alter their stacking order and change into the planes(110)bcc respectively.Thenecessary adjustment of the spacings is provided by the dislocations in martensite.Thecrystallographic relationship after double-shear is K-S one. | CHEN Qizhi WU Xingfang KE Jun (T Ko) University of Science and Technology Beijing,Beijing,China | 1991 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)1991,4,6: | 0
Scalable Core–Sheath Yarn for Boosting Solar Interfacial Desalination Through Engineering Controllable Water Supply显示文摘Tailoring water supply to achieve confined heating has proven to be an effective strategy for boosting solar interfacial evaporation rates. However, because of salt clogging during desalination,a critical point of constriction occurs when controlling the water rate for confined heating. In this study,we demonstrate a facile and scalable weaving technique for fabricating core-sheath photothermal yarns that facilitate controlled water supply for stable and efficient interracial solar desalination. The core-sheath yarn comprises modal fibers as the core and carbon fibers as the sheaths.Because of the core-sheath design, remarkable liquid pumping can be enabled in the carbon fiber bundle of the dispersed superhydrophilic modal fibers. Our woven fabrics absorb a high proportion(92%)of the electromagnetic radiation in the solar spectrum because of the weaving structure and the carbon fiber sheath.Under one-sun(1 kW·m^(-2))illumination,our woven fabric device can achieve the highest evaporation rate(of 2.12kg·m^(-2)·h^(-1) with energy conversion efficiency:93.7%)by regulating the number of core-sheath yarns.Practical application tests demonstrate that our device can maintain high and stable desalination performance in a 5 wt%NaCl solution. | Xingfang Xiao Luqi Pan Tao Chen Manyu Wang Lipei Ren Bei Chen Yingao Wang Qian Zhang Weilin Xu | 2023 | Engineering2023,,11: | 0
The optimal anticoagulation strategy for COVID-19,prophylactic or therapeutic?:a meta-analysis,trial sequential analysis, and meta-regression of more than 27,000 participants显示文摘Background:Anticoagulants are promising regimens for treating coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).However,whether prophylactic or intermediate-to-therapeutic dosage is optimal remains under active discussion. Methods:We comprehensively searched PubMed,Embase,Scopus,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,ClinicalTrials, and MedRxiv databases on April 26,2022.Two independent researchers conducted literature selection and data extraction separately according to predetermined criteria.Notably, this is the first meta-analysis on COVID-19,taking serious consideration regarding the dosage overlap between the 2 comparison groups of prophylactic anticoagulation(PA)and intermediate-to-therapeutic anticoagulation(I-TA).Results:We included 11 randomized controlled trials(RCTs)and 36 cohort studies with 27,051 COVID-19 patients.By analyzing all the RCTs,there was no significant difference in mortality between the PA and I-TA groups, which was further confirmed by trial sequential analysis(TSA)(odds ratio[OR]:0.93;95%confidence interval[CI]:0.71–1.22;P=0.61;TSA adjusted CI:0.71–1.26).The rate of major bleeding was remarkably higher in the I-TA group than in the PA group, despite adjusting for TSA(OR:1.73;95%CI:1.15–2.60;P=0.009;TSA adjusted CI:1.09–2.58).RCTs have supported the beneficial effect of I-TA in reducing thrombotic events. After including all studies, mortality in the I-TA group was significantly higher than in the PA group(OR:1.38;95%CI:1.15–1.66;P=0.0005).The rate of major bleeding was similar to the analysis from RCTs(OR:2.24;95%CI:1.86–2.69;P<0.00001).There was no distinct difference in the rate of thrombotic events between the 2 regimen groups. In addition,in both critical and noncritical subgroups,I-TA failed to reduce mortality but increased major bleeding rate compared with PA,as shown in meta-analysis of all studies,as well as RCTs only.Meta-regression of all studies suggested that there was no relationship between the treatment effect and the overall risk of mortality or major bleeding(P=0.14,P=0.09,respectively).Conclusion:I-TA is not superior to PA for treating COVID-19 because it fails to lower the mortality rate but increases the major bleeding rate in both critical and noncritical patients. | Mingyue Guo Qi Han Jiaxuan Xing Feng Xu Jiali Wang Chuanbao Li Zechen Shan Yuan Bian Hao Wang Li Xue Qiuhuan Yuan Chang Pan Yanshan De Xingfang Wang Panpan Hao Shengchuan Cao Jiaojiao Pang Yuguo Chen | 2022 | Emergency and Critical Care Medicine2022,2,3: | 0
