| 1 | Redefinition and Formation Age of the Tanjianshan Group in Xitieshan Region, Qinghai显示文摘The Tanjianshan Group, which was previously divided into a, b, c and d formations, has been controversial for a long time. It mainly distributes in the northern margin of Qaidam Basin and is an important early Paleozoic greenschist facies metamorphic volcanic sedimentary rock formation. Detailed field investigation and zircon LA-ICPMS U-Pb dating of the key strata suggest that the original lower part of a Formation(a-1) versus the original middle upper of d Formation(d-3 and d-4), the original upper part of a Formation(a-2) and b Formation versus the original lower part of d Formation(d-1 and d-2) of Tanjianshan Group are contemporaneous heterotopic facies volcanicclasolite deposit, respectively. The former formations formed during the middle-late Ordovician(463–458 Ma), while the latter ones formed in the late Ordovician(about 445 Ma). The original c formation of Tanjianshan Group, which formed after 430 Ma, is similar to the Maoniushan Formation of Kunlun Mountains and north Qaidam Basin. According to the rules of stratigraphic division and naming, new stratum formations of Tanjianshan Group are re-built and divided into Duancenggou(O1-2td), Zhongjiangou(O2-3tz) and Xitieshan(O3tx) formations. The original c Formation is separated from Tanjianshan Group and is renamed as the Wuminggou Formation(S3-D1w), which shows a discordant contact with underlying Tanjianshan Group and overlying Amunike Formation(D3a). | 2 | Transcriptomic profile of human erythroleukemia cells in response to Sargassum fusiforme polysaccharide and its structure analysis显示文摘Sargassum fusiforme(S.fusiforme)has been used as an ingredient in Chinese herbal medicine for thousands of years.However,there are a limited number of studies concerning its therapeutic mechanism.High performance gel permeation chromatography(HPGPC)analysis showed that the average molecular weight of the S.fusiforme polysaccharide,SFPS 191212,is 43 kDa.SFPS 191212 is composed of mannose,rhamnose,galactose,xylose,glucose,and fucose(at a molar ratio:2.1:2.9:1.8:15.5:4.6:62.5)withα-andβ-configurations.The present research evaluated the anti-tumor potential of the S.fusiforme polysaccharide in human erythroleukemia(HEL)cells in vitro.To explore the SFPS 191212’s apoptosis mechanism in HEL cells,transcriptome analysis was performed on HEL cells that were incubated with SFPS 191212.The inhibitory effect of SFPS 191212 on HEL cell growth was also analyzed.It was found that SFPS 191212 inhibited HEL cell proliferation,reduced cell viability in a concentration-dependent manner,and induced an insignificant toxic effect on normal human embryonic lung(MRC-5)cells.Compared with the control group,transcriptome analysis identified a total of 598 differentially expressed genes(DEGs),including 243 up-regulated genes and 355 downregulated genes.Gene Ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)enrichment analyses were performed on all DEGs,and 900 GO terms and 52 pathways were found to be significantly enriched.Finally,23 DEGs were randomly selected and confirmed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR).Moreover,SFPS 191212 down-regulated the PI3K/Akt signal transduction pathway.Our results provide a framework for understanding the effect of SFPS 191212 on cancer cells and can serve as a resource for delineating the anti-tumor mechanisms of S.fusiforme. | DING Hao-Miao FU Rui-Jie XIE Ce WANG Cai-Sheng QIAN Guo-Ying | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2021,19,10: | 2 |

| 4 | Optimizing Heavy-duty Anticorrosive Performances of Coating Films Formed by Acrylate-vinylidene Chloride Copolymer Latexes through Twice-painting Technique显示文摘Twice-painting technique was adopted to prepare heavy-duty anticorrosive coating films formed by aqueous latexes of copolymers of vinylidene chloride(VDC) with an acrylate, namely methyl acrylate(MA), ethyl acrylate(EA), butyl acrylate(BA) or 2-ethylhexyl acrylate(EHA). Harsh salt-spray corrosion tests demonstrated that the optimized twicepainting technique was that the acidic latex solution was adjusted to p H 5-6 for the first painting, while it was utilized directly for the second painting. The test of 600 h of harsh salt-spray corrosion showed that MA-VDC85 coating could protect the steel excellently, whereas the other acrylate-VDC coatings with 75%-90% VDC content could not protect the steel so effectively. Further corrosion test showed that(1) MA-VDC85 coating protected steel from loss of metallic luster for at least 1000 h of salt-spray corrosion;(2) adhesion of MA-VDC85 coating to steel was excellent for at least 800 h of saltspray corrosion, but became very poor after 1000 h.
