| 1 | A new approach based on PSO algorithm to find good computational encoding sequences显示文摘Computational encoding DNA sequence design is one of the most important steps in molecular computation. A lot of research work has been done to design reliable sequence library. A revised method based on the support system developed by Tanaka et al. is proposed here with different criteria to construct fitness function. Then we adapt particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to our encoding problem. By using the new algorithm, a set of sequences with good quality is generated. The result also shows that our PSO-based approach could rapidly converge at the minimum level for an output of the simulation model. | 2 | Arithmetic computation using self-assembly of DNA tiles:subtraction and division显示文摘Recently, experiments have demonstrated that simple binary arithmetic and logical operations can be computed by the process of self- assembly of DNA tiles. In this paper, we show how the tile assembly process can be used for subtraction and division. In order to achieve this aim, four systems, including the comparator system, the duplicator system, the subtraction system, and the division system, are pro- posed to compute the difference and quotient of two input numbers using the tile assembly model. This work indicates that these systems can be carried out in polynomial time with optimal O(1) distinct tile types in parallel and at very low cost. | 3 | Modified PSO algorithm for solving planar graph coloring problem显示文摘The graph coloring is a classic NP-complete problem. Presently there is no effective method to solve this problem. Here we propose a modifled particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm in which a disturbance factor is added to a particle swarm optimizer for improv- ing its performance. When the current global best solution cannot be updated in a certain time period that is longer than the disturbance factor, a certain number of particles will be chosen according to probability and their velocities will be reset to force the particle swarm to get rid of local minimizers. It is found that this operation is helpful to improve the performance of particle swarm. Classic planar graph coloring problem is resolved by using modifled particle swarm optimization algorithm. | 4 | High-precision time and frequency measurement method combining time-space conversion and different frequency phase detection显示文摘According to the time&space conversion relations and different frequency phase detection principle,an ultra-high precision time&frequency measurement method is proposed in this paper.The higher accuracy and stability of the speed of light and electromagnetic signals during the transmission in space or a specific medium enable the measurement of short time interval which uses the coincidence detection of signal’s transmission delay in length.The measurement precision better than 10 picoseconds can be easily obtained.The method develops the length vernier utilizing the stability of signal’s transmission delay,minimizes the fuzzy region of phase coincidence between the standard frequency signal and the measured signal,approaches the best phase coincidences and therefore improves the measurement precision which is higher than the precision provided by the traditional methods based on frequency processing.Besides,the method costs less than the traditional methods and can also solve the problem of the measurement of super-high frequency.Experimental results show the method can improve the measurement precision to 10 12/s in the time&frequency domain. | DU BaoQiang WANG YanFeng CUI GuangZhao GUO ShuTing DONG ShaoFeng LIU Dan | 2013 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,11: | 4 |

| 9 | Integrin β2 and β3:Two plasmatocyte markers deepen our understanding of the development of plasmatocytes in the silkworm Bombyx mori显示文摘Insect hemocytes play important biological roles at developmental stages,metamorphosis,and innate immunity.As one of the most abundant cell types,plasmatocytes can participate in various innate immune responses,especially in encapsulation and node formation.Here,2 molecular markers of plasmatocytes,consisting of integrinβ2 andβ3,were identified and used to understand the development of plasmatocytes.Plasmatocytes are widely distributed in the hematopoietic system,including circulating hemolymph and hematopoietic organs(HPOs).HPOs constantly release plasmatocytes with high proliferative activity in vitro;removal of HPOs leads to a dramatic reduction in the circulating plasmatocytes,and the remaining plasmatocytes gradually lose their ability to proliferate in vivo.Our results demonstrated that the release of plasmatocytes from HPOs is regulated by insulin-mediated signals and their downstream pathways,including PI3K/Akt and MAPK/Erk signals.The insulin/PI3K/Akt signaling pathway can significantly irritate the hematopoiesis,and its inhibitor LY294002 could inhibit the hemocytes discharged from HPOs.While the insulin/MAPK/Erk signaling pathway plays a negative regulatory role,inhibiting its activity with U0126 can markedly promote the discharge of plasmatocytes from HPOs.Our results indicate that the circulating plasmatocytes are mainly generated and discharged by HPOs.This process is co-regulated by the PI3K/Akt and MAPK/Erk signals in an antagonistic manner to adjust the dynamic balance of the hemocytes.These findings can enhance our understanding of insect hematopoiesis. | Kui Zhang Jingjing Su Xin Hu Xiaomin Yan Siyuan Chen Chongyang Li Guangzhao Pan Hongbo Chang Wenli Tian Muhammad Nadeem Abbas Hongjuan Cui | 2022 | Insect Science2022,29,6: | 0 |
