1First-principles calculations of electronic structure and optical properties of strained Mg_2Si显示文摘A detailed theoretical study on structural,electronic and optical properties of Mg2Si under the isotropic lattice deformation was performed based on the first-principles pseudopotential method.The results show that the isotropic lattice deformation results in a linear decrease in the energy gap for the directΓ15-Γ1 and indirectΓ15-L1 transitions from 93%to 113%,while the indirect band gapΓ15-X1 increases from 93%to 104%and then reduces over 104%.When the crystal lattice is 93%compressed and 113% stretched,the magnesium silicide is a zero-gap semiconductor.Furthermore,the isotropic lattice deformation makes the dielectric function shift and the static dielectric constant change.CHEN Qian XIE Quan ZHAO FengJuan CUI DongMeng LI XuZhen 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,21:4
2Genetic analysis of fertility restoring genes for AL-type male sterility in wheat显示文摘In order to screen molecular markers linked to fertility restoring genes and further improve the breeding efficiency of restorer lines,in this study,wheat varieties 18A,18B and 99AR144-1 were used as experimental materials to establish F2 fertility-segregating population. Plant quantitative trait'major gene + polygene mixed model'separation analysis method and simple sequence repeat(SSR) molecular markers were adopted for genetic analysis of four generations,including the parents(P1 and P2),and hybrid(Fl and F2) populations. The results show that AL-type fertility restoring gene is controlled by two pairs of additive-dominant-epistatic genes and additive-dominant polygene;two primers linked to fertility restoring genes were selected by SSR molecular markers, including Xgwm95 on chromosome 2A and Barc61 on chromosome 1B,with the linkage distance of 15.0 cM and 18.0 cM,respectively. 4Landscape dynamic network biomarker analysis reveals the tipping point of transcriptome reprogramming to prevent skin photodamage显示文摘Skin,as the outmost layer of human body,is frequently exposed to environmental stressors including pollutants and ultraviolet(UV),which could lead to skin disorders.Generally,skin response process to ultraviolet B(UVB)irradiation is a nonlinear dynamic process,with unknown underlying molecular mechanism of critical transition.Here,the landscape dynamic network biomarker(lDNB)analysis of time series transcriptome data on 3D skin model was conducted to reveal the complicated process of skin response to UV irradiation at both molecular and network levels.The advanced l-DNB analysis approach showed that:(i)there was a tipping point before critical transition state during pigmentation process,validated by 3D skin model;(ii)13 core DNB genes were identified to detect the tipping point as a network biomarker,supported by computational assessment;(iii)core DNB genes such as COL7A1 and CTNNB1 can effectively predict skin lightening,validated by independent human skin data.Overall,this study provides new insights for skin response to repetitive UVB irradiation,including dynamic pathway pattern,biphasic response,and DNBs for skin lightening change,and enables us to further understand the skin resilience process after external stress.Chengming Zhang Hong Zhang Jing Ge Tingyan Mi Xiao Cui Fengjuan Tu Xuelan Gu Tao Zeng Luonan Chen 2021Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2021,13,11:1
5The shallow meridional overturning circulation in the South China Sea and the related internal water movement显示文摘The structure of the annual-mean shallow meridional overturning circulation(SMOC) in the South China Sea(SCS) and the related water movement are investigated,using simple ocean data assimilation(SODA) outputs.The distinct clockwise SMOC is present above 400 m in the SCS on the climatologically annual-mean scale,which consists of downwelling in the northern SCS,a southward subsurface branch supplying upwelling at around 10°N and a northward surface flow,with a strength of about 1×10~6 m^3/s.The formation mechanisms of its branches are studied separately.The zonal component of the annual-mean wind stress is predominantly westward and causes northward Ekman transport above 50 m.The annual-mean Ekman transport across 18°N is about 1.2×10~6 m^3/s.An annual-mean subduction rate is calculated by estimating the net volume flux entering the thermocline from the mixed layer in a Lagrangian framework.An annual subduction rate of about 0.66×10~6m^3/s is obtained between 17° and 20°N,of which 87% is due to vertical pumping and 13% is due to lateral induction.The subduction rate implies that the subdution contributes significantly to the downwelling branch.The pathways of traced parcels released at the base of the February mixed layer show that after subduction water moves southward to as far as 11°N within the western boundary current before returning northward.The velocity field at the base of mixed layer and a meridional velocity section in winter also confirm that the southward flow in the subsurface layer is mainly by strong western boundary currents.Significant upwelling mainly occurs off the Vietnam coast in the southern SCS.An upper bound for the annual-mean net upwelling rate between 10° and 15°N is 0.7×10~6m^3/s,of which a large portion is contributed by summer upwelling,with both the alongshore component of the southwest wind and its offshore increase causing great upwelling.ZHANG Ningning LAN Jian MA Jie CUI Fengjuan 2016Acta Oceanologica Sinica2016,35,7:1

8Phosphorylation of OsRbohB by the protein kinase OsDMI3 promotes H_(2)O_(2) production to potentiate ABA responses in rice显示文摘In rice, the Ca^(2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase OsDMI3 is an important positive regulator of abscisic acid (ABA) signaling. In ABA signaling, H_(2)O_(2) is required for ABA-induced activation of OsDMI3, which in turn increase H_(2)O_(2) production. However, how OsDMI3 regulates H_(2)O_(2) production in ABA signaling remains unknown. Here we show that OsRbohB is the main NADPH oxidase involved in ABA-induced H_(2)O_(2) production and ABA-mediated physiological responses. OsDMI3 directly interacts with and phosphorylates OsRbohB at Ser-191, which is OsDMI3-mediated site-specific phosphorylation in ABA signaling. Further analyses revealed that OsDMI3-mediated OsRbohB Ser-191 phosphorylation positively regulates the activity of NADPH oxidase and the production of H_(2)O_(2) in ABA signaling, thereby enhancing the sensitivity of seed germination and root growth to ABA and plant tolerance to water stress and oxidative stress. Moreover, we discovered that the OsDMI3-mediated OsRbohB phosphorylation and H_(2)O_(2) production is dependent on the sucrose non-fermenting 1-related protein kinases SAPK8/9/10, which phosphorylate OsRbohB at Ser-140 in ABA signaling. 12Effect of nonlinear advection on the Indian Ocean diploe asymmetry显示文摘The asymmetry of sea surface temperature anomaly(SSTA)amplitudes between the positive and negative phases of the Indian Ocean dipole(IOD)are studied.The dynamic effects on it are analyzed using a hybrid coordinate ocean model(HYCOM).It suggests that the IOD is still asymmetric even when forced by a symmetric wind stress,and the asymmetry of the SSTA in the eastern pole is strong while that in the western pole is almost insignificant during the mature phase(September–November(SON)).Thus,the IOD asymmetry is primarily caused by the asymmetry in the IODE.A heat budget analysis is also conducted for the mixedlayer temperature in the eastern Indian Ocean(IODE),which indicates that a nonlinear ocean advection cools both the positive and negative IOD events.Therefore,the nonlinear ocean advection is responsible for the asymmetry of the IOD.WANG Yu LAN Jian CUI Fengjuan 2014Acta Oceanologica Sinica2014,33,1:0
