| 2 | Oral microbiome and risk of malignant esophageal lesions in a high-risk area of China:A nested case-control study显示文摘Objective:We aimed to prospectively evaluate the association of oral microbiome with malignant esophageal lesions and its predictive potential as a biomarker of risk.Methods:We conducted a case-control study nested within a population-based cohort with up to 8 visits of oral swab collection for each subject over an 11-year period in a high-risk area for esophageal cancer in China.The oral microbiome was evaluated with 16 S ribosomal RNA(rRNA)gene sequencing in 428 pre-diagnostic oral specimens from 84 cases with esophageal lesions of severe squamous dysplasia and above(SDA)and 168 matched healthy controls.DESeq analysis was performed to identify taxa of differential abundance.Differential oral species together with subject characteristics were evaluated for their potential in predicting SDA risk by constructing conditional logistic regression models.Results:A total of 125 taxa including 37 named species showed significantly different abundance between SDA cases and controls(all P<0.05&false discovery rate-adjusted Q<0.10).A multivariate logistic model including 11 SDA lesion-related species and family history of esophageal cancer provided an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)of 0.89(95%CI,0.84-0.93).Cross-validation and sensitivity analysis,excluding cases diagnosed within 1 year of collection of the baseline specimen and their matched controls,or restriction to screenendoscopic-detected or clinically diagnosed case-control triads,or using only bacterial data measured at the baseline,yielded AUCs>0.84.Conclusions:The oral microbiome may play an etiological and predictive role in esophageal cancer,and it holds promise as a non-invasive early warning biomarker for risk stratification for esophageal cancer screening programs. | Fangfang Liu Mengfei Liu Ying Liu Chuanhai Guo Yunlai Zhou Fenglei Li Ruiping Xu Zhen Liu Qiuju Deng Xiang Li Chaoting Zhang Yaqi Pan Tao Ning Xiao Dong Zhe Hu Huanyu Bao Hong Cai Isabel Dos Santos Silva Zhonghu He Yang Ke | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,6: | 3 |

| 6 | Differential DNA methylation profiles of human B lymphocytes and Epstein-Barr virus-immortalized B lymphocytes显示文摘Objective: This study aimed to comprehensively assess Epstein-Barr virus(EBV)-induced methylation alterations of B cell across whole genome.Methods: We compared DNA methylation patterns of primary B cells and corresponding lymphoblastoid cell lines(LCLs) from eight participants. The genome-wide DNA methylation profiles were compared at over 850,000 genome-wide methylation sites.Results: DNA methylation analysis revealed 87,732 differentially methylated Cp G sites, representing approximately 12.41% of all sites in LCLs compared to primary B cells. The hypermethylated and hypomethylated Cp G sites were about 22.75% or 77.25%, respectively. Only 0.8% of hypomethylated sites and 4.5% of hypermethylated sites were located in Cp G islands, whereas 8.0% of hypomethylated sites and 16.3% of hypermethylated sites were located in shore(N_shore and S_shore). Using principal component analysis of the DNA methylation profiles, primary B cells and LCLs could be accurately predicted. | 12 | Optimization of Fuel In-Situ Reduction(FISR)Denitrification Technology for Cement Kiln using CFD Method显示文摘Nitrogen oxides(NO_(x))from cement industry have drawn more and more attention and the existing denitrification technologies can hardly meet the increasingly stringent emission requirements in China.In our previous work,fuel in-situ reduction(FISR)method was proposed to cut cement NO_(x)emission.With the pilot-scale precalciner in the previous experiment as objection,optimization of FISR method was conducted using CFD method.The results demonstrated that NO_(x)emission decreased by 69.86%after adopting FISR method.The effects of initial concentrations of NO and O_(2)in kiln gas,feeding location of the first-stage tertiary(tertiary air-I)and cement raw meal(CRM)were further investigated.With increasing initial NO concentration,NO_(x)emission increased linearly,while the reduction rate of NO in kiln gas maintained above 80%.When O_(2)content in kiln gas is more than 4%,oxygen would more significantly promote the formation of NO_(x)and inhibit the reduction of NO.The dimensionless locations of tertiary air-I and CRM were introduced.The simulation results showed that the optimal dimensionless locations are 0.6 and 1.6 for tertiary air-I and CRM,respectively.The outputs achieved in this study will provide a strong support for the practical application of FISR method in cement industry. | SHI Chaoting CAI Jun REN Qiangqiang WU Huixing | 2023 | Journal of Thermal Science2023,32,6: | 0 |
| 13 | A highly hydrothermal stable copper-based catalyst for catalytic wet air oxidation of m-cresol in coal chemical wastewater显示文摘Catalytic wet air oxidation(CWAO) can degrade some refractory pollutants at a low cost to improve the biodegradability of wastewater. However, in the presence of high temperature and high pressure and strong oxidizing free radicals, the stability of catalysts is often insufficient, which has become a bottleneck in the application of CWAO. In this paper, a copper-based catalyst with excellent hydrothermal stability was designed and prepared. TiO_(2) with excellent stability was used as the carrier to ensure the longterm anchoring of copper and reduce the leaching of the catalyst. The one pot sol–gel method was used to ensure the super dispersion and uniform distribution of copper nanoparticles on the carrier, so as to ensure that more active centers could be retained in a longer period. Experiments show that the catalyst prepared by this method has good stability and catalytic activity, and the catalytic effect is not significantly reduced after 10 cycles of use. The oxidation degradation experiment of m-cresol with the strongest biological toxicity and the most difficult to degrade in coal chemical wastewater was carried out with this catalyst. The results showed that under the conditions of 140℃, 2 MPa and 2 h, m-cresol with a concentration of up to 1000 mg·L^(-1) could be completely degraded, and the COD removal rate could reach 79.15%. The biological toxicity of wastewater was significantly reduced. | 14 | The inhibitory effect of transthyretin gene on growth of human hepatoma cells显示文摘Transthyretin(TTR) gene was highly expressed in normal liver and it has been found to be deleted in part of DNA samples from human hepatic cancer. Its mRNA expression was suppressed in most hepatoma samples. In order to study the biological effect of TTR gene on the growth of hepatoma cells, a recombinant vector containing TTR cDNA was constructed by pCMV, then it was transfected into hepatoma cell lines SMMC-7721 and Q3.It has been demonstrated that the inhibition of growth rate of TTR cDNA transfected hepatoma cells was about 50%in strength compared with that of the control. This inhibition was further enhanced when the transfected hepatoma cells were treated with all-trans retinoic acid. Hepatoma cells of cell lines PLC/PRF/5, SMMC-7721 and Q3 as well as hepatoma cells SMMC-7721 transfected with pCMV or pCMV-TTR were analyzed for TTR expression by Northern hybridization. The low level of TTR expression was found in both hepatoma cell lines and in SMMC-7721cells transfected with pCMV alone. However, a remarkable TTR mRNA expression was observed in hepatoma SMMC-7721 cells transfected with pCMV-TTR. | 15 | Oxidation of diclofenac by permanganate: Kinetics, products and effect of inorganic reductants显示文摘The large consumption and discharge of diclofenac(DCF) lead to its frequent detection in surface water and groundwater, posing great threats to humans and ecosystems. This study explored the oxidation kinetics of DCF by permanganate(Mn(Ⅶ)), and expounded the underlying reason for the unusual p Hdependency that was unclear in previous studies. The kinetics of DCF analogues(i.e., aromatic secondary amines) by Mn(Ⅶ) oxidation were comparatively investigated. Then, a tentative kinetic model involving the formation of an intermediate between Mn(Ⅶ) and DCF or its analogues was proposed to fit the p H-rate profile. Since DCF contained two chloro groups, and a carboxyl group which could be ionized by negative electrospray ionization, a precursor ionization scanning approach was used for the first time for detection of N-containing chlorinated oxidation products. New degradation pathways of DCF containing ring opening, carboxylation, carbonylation, electrophilic addition, hydroxylation and dehydrogenation were proposed based on the identified oxidation products. Moreover, it was demonstrated that the introduction of various reducing agents such as Mn(Ⅱ), Fe(Ⅱ) and bisulfite significantly improved the oxidation kinetics of DCF by Mn(Ⅶ). The positive effects of Mn(Ⅱ) and Fe(Ⅱ) were mainly attributed to the accelerated formation of MnO_(2)that acted as a catalyst or co-oxidizer contributing to DCF degradation. The presence of bisulfite caused two-stage kinetics, where a sharp drop of DCF concentration followed by a slowdown of DCF removal. In the first stage, potent reactive manganese species(e.g., Mn(Ⅲ), Mn(V), and Mn(VI)) and sulfate radical were generated during reaction of bisulfite with Mn(Ⅶ), whereas bisulfite was depleted fast due to excess Mn(Ⅶ) concentrations and the system became the Mn(Ⅶ)/MnO_(2)system in the second stage.
