| 1 | 香港结核病与吸烟调查显示文摘目的:了解在香港人群中吸烟与结核病的联系。方法:利用间接调整法比较1996年报告登记的851例结核病人样本与一般人群的吸烟率。并利用分层单因素分析和多元logisitc回归分析方法比较了曾吸烟者与不吸烟者的临床特征。结果:与人群对照相比,结核病人的吸烟率较高。在16-64岁组,吸烟与结核病之间的比值比(OR)在男性和女性分别为2.44和2.08(Mantel-Haenszel加权OR=2.40,P<0.001);在65岁以上组,则分别为 2.09和2.83(Mantel-Haenszel加权 OR=2.19,P<0.001)。男性、65岁以上、发病时仍在工作、经 常饮酒、吸毒以及无结核病接触史等与吸烟有关(P<0.05)。曾吸烟者的咳嗽比例高(OR=1.69)、容易憋气(OR=1.84)、上肺区受累多(OR=1.67)、易发空洞(OR=1.76)和粟粒性肺结核(OR=2.77)以及痰菌培养阳性的概率较大(OR=1.43),但发生孤立肺外结核病的机会要小(OR=0.31),即使控制了背景因素的混杂作用后也如此(P<0.05)。结论:吸烟与结核病有关。严重类型的肺结核多见于曾吸烟者。 | C.C.Leung C.K.Chan C.M.Tam K.C.Chang C.H.Chau W.S.Law W.W.Yew C.H.Chau C.W.Lam K.S.Lau 贺晓新 | 2003 | 国际结核病与肺部疾病杂志2003,,4: | 5 |
| 2 | Whole-genome sequencing of monozygotic twins discordant for schizophrenia indicates multiple genetic risk factors for schizophrenia显示文摘Schizophrenia is a common disorder with a high heritability, but its genetic architecture is still elusive.We implemented whole-genome sequencing(WGS) analysis of 8 families with monozygotic(MZ) twin pairs discordant for schizophrenia to assess potential association of de novo mutations(DNMs) or inherited variants with susceptibility to schizophrenia. Eight non-synonymous DNMs(including one splicing site) were identified and shared by twins, which were either located in previously reported schizophrenia risk genes(p.V24689 I mutation in TTN, p.S2506 T mutation in GCN1L1, IVS3+1G > T in DOCK1) or had a benign to damaging effect according to in silico prediction analysis. By searching the inherited rare damaging or loss-of-function(LOF) variants and common susceptible alleles from three classes of schizophrenia candidate genes, we were able to distill genetic alterations in several schizophrenia risk genes, including GAD1, PLXNA2, RELN and FEZ1. Four inherited copy number variations(CNVs; including a large deletion at 16p13.11) implicated for schizophrenia were identified in four families, respectively. Most of families carried both missense DNMs and inherited risk variants, which might suggest that DNMs, inherited rare damaging variants and common risk alleles together conferred to schizophrenia susceptibility. | 3 | A Study on Rural Social Network and Village Planning Paradigm in China显示文摘Current village planning in China, which mostly draws on the experience from urban planning, is a rational planning model based on elite decision-making, resulting in many problems. Essentially, planning is a kind of institutional arrangement according to the demands of multiple actors under certain social context. Since actors and their behaviors in villages are far different from those in cities, leading to the reorganization of planning assumptions and prerequisites, village planning paradigms are prominently distinct from urban planning paradigms. This paper figures out the significance of social networks and argues that village planning is a kind of communicative planning based on endogenous order, referring to the paradigm development course of Western urban planning theories and the features of Chinese villages. | 9 | Urban Development of Macao:Challenges and Opportunities显示文摘This paper reviews the socio-economic development and the spatial evolution patterns of Macao. It argues that urbanization and intense land development have posed three challenges to Macao's future development pathway, namely, limited provision of resource, lack of diversification ofindustries, and incomplete planning legislation. The General Agreement on the Cooperation between Guangdong and Macao signed in 2003 represents a strong policy incentive that offered a comprehensive institutional framework to promote economic integration. The Agreement is conducive to achieving economic development through proposing dynamic and diversified economic activities, which will also benefit tourism. The development of Hengqin will serve as a test bed for furthering the implementation of 'one country, two systems' constitutional principle, which will also improve the existing regional cooperation mechanisms. A comprehensive urban planning system should be established to avoid marginalization in regional development. | 11 | Ophthalmology in the time of COVID-19: experience from Hong Kong Eye Hospital显示文摘AIM:To review international guidelines and to share our infection control experience during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic at a tertiary eye centre in Hong Kong.METHODS:Infection control guidelines and recommendations from international ophthalmological bodies are reviewed and discussed.The measures at our hospital were drawn up as per international and local health authorities’guidelines and implemented with the collaboration of doctors,nurses and administrative staff.RESULTS:The aims of our infection control measures are to 1)minimize cross-infection within the hospital;2)protect and support hospital staff;3)ensure environmental control.To minimize the risk of cross-infection,outpatient attendance and elective surgery have been reduced by 40%,and general anesthesia procedures were reduced by 90%.Patients entering the hospital are screened for fever,travel history,contact and cluster history,and COVID-19 related symptoms.To protect and support hospital staff,we ensure provision of adequate personal protective equipment(PPE)and provide clear guidelines on the level of PPE needed,depending on the clinical situation.Other protective measures include provision of work uniforms,easy access to alcohol-based hand rub,opening new lunch areas,implementation of self-monitoring and self-reporting systems,and communication via online education and updates.Finally,environmental control is achieved by ensuring regular disinfection of the hospital premise,enhancing ventilation,and usage of disposable ophthalmic instruments.CONCLUSION:Our multi-pronged approach to infection control is,so far,successful in minimizing infection risks,while allowing the maintenance of essential ophthalmic services. | Stephanie S.L.Cheung Cherie Y.K.Wong Jason C.K.Chan Carmen K.M.Chan N.M.Lam Hunter K.L.Yuen Victoria W.Y.Wong Chi Wai Tsang Clement C.Y.Tham | 2020 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2020,13,6: | 0 |
