1Plant Species Diversity along an Altitudinal Gradient of Bhabha Valley in Western Himalaya显示文摘The present study highlights the rich species diversity of higher plants in the Bhabha Valley of western Himalaya in India. The analysis of species diversity revealed that a total of 313 species of higher plants inhabit the valley with a characteristic of moist alpine shrub vegetation. The herbaceous life forms dominate and increase with increasing altitude. The major representations are from the families Asteraceae, Rosaceae, Lamiaceae and Poaceae, suggesting thereby the alpine meadow nature of the study area. The effect of altitude on species diversity displays a hump-shaped curve which may be attributed to increase in habitat diversity at the median ranges and relatively less habitat diversity at higher altitudes. The anthropogenic pressure at lower altitudes results in low plant diversity towards the bottom of the valley with most of the species being exotic in nature. Though the plant diversity is less at higher altitudinal ranges, the uniqueness is relatively high with high species replacement rates. More than 90 % of variability in the species diversity could be explained using appropriate quantitative and statistical analysis along the altitudinal gradient. 2Differences in Tree Species Diversity and Soil Nutrient Status in a Tropical Sacred Forest Ecosystem on Niyamgiri Hill Range,Eastern Ghats,India显示文摘We have quantitatively analyzed the tree species diversity with respect to soil nutrient status in three sites of a sacred forest ecosystem of Niyamgiri hill range,Eastern Ghats,India.Extensive field surveys and sampling were conducted in 3 sites of the hill range:Site 1 Pterocarpus dominated forest(PTF)(19°40'02.2' N and 83°21'23.1' E),Site 2 Mangifera dominated forest(MAF)(19°40'02.8' N and 83°21'40.8' E) and Site 3 Mixed forest(MIF)(19°36'47.1' N and 83°21'02.7' E).A total of 28 families,42 genera,46 tree species,and 286 individual trees were recorded on an area of 0.6 ha.Tree density varied between 470 and 490 individuals ha-1 and average basal area between 3.16 and 10.04 m2 ha-1.Shannon Index(H') ranged from 2.34 to 4.53,Simpson's Index ranged from 0.07 to 0.09,and equitability Index ranged from 0.7 to 1.34.The number of individuals was highest in the girth at breast height(GBH) class of 50-70 cm.The soil nutrient status of the three forest types was related to tree species diversity.The soil pH value of the three sites reflected the slightly acidic nature of the area.Species diversity was positively correlated with organic carbon and phosphorus and negatively with nitrogen,EC and pH.The results of the current study may be helpful to further develop a conservation planfor tree species in tropical sacred forest ecosystems.Sudam Charan SAHU Nabin Kumar DHAL Brij LAL Rama Chandra MOHANTY 2012Journal of Mountain Science2012,9,4:5
3结合功能测试与模拟驾驶的老年人驾驶适性评估显示文摘为应对老年驾驶人驾驶能力下降带来的交通安全问题并降低与其相关的事故风险,建立了可有效替代道路驾驶测试的老年人驾驶适性评估方法.对92名老年驾驶人进行了功能测试、模拟驾驶测试与道路驾驶测试,通过独立样本T检验与分层逐步Logistic回归确定评价指标体系,分别建立并比选了决策树、随机森林和支持向量机3种评估模型.结果表明,以对比敏感度、功能性伸展、交通标志理解以及合流变道距离等作为评价指标的支持向量机模型对驾驶适性的评估效果最好,准确率高达84.6%.该方法可以有效替代道路测试评估老年人的驾驶适性,能为其停止驾驶、调整驾驶行为、训练提升驾驶能力、使用辅助驾驶技术等提供参考.沈永俊 谭旭 Tom Brijs 2021东南大学学报(自然科学版)2021,51,1:5
4Blockchain-Assisted Secure Fine-Grained Searchable Encryption for a Cloud-Based Healthcare Cyber-Physical System显示文摘The concept of sharing of personal health data over cloud storage in a healthcare-cyber physical system has become popular in recent times as it improves access quality.The privacy of health data can only be preserved by keeping it in an encrypted form,but it affects usability and flexibility in terms of effective search.Attribute-based searchable encryption(ABSE)has proven its worth by providing fine-grained searching capabilities in the shared cloud storage.However,it is not practical to apply this scheme to the devices with limited resources and storage capacity because a typical ABSE involves serious computations.In a healthcare cloud-based cyber-physical system(CCPS),the data is often collected by resource-constraint devices;therefore,here also,we cannot directly apply ABSE schemes.In the proposed work,the inherent computational cost of the ABSE scheme is managed by executing the computationally intensive tasks of a typical ABSE scheme on the blockchain network.Thus,it makes the proposed scheme suitable for online storage and retrieval of personal health data in a typical CCPS.With the assistance of blockchain technology,the proposed scheme offers two main benefits.First,it is free from a trusted authority,which makes it genuinely decentralized and free from a single point of failure.Second,it is computationally efficient because the computational load is now distributed among the consensus nodes in the blockchain network.Specifically,the task of initializing the system,which is considered the most computationally intensive,and the task of partial search token generation,which is considered as the most frequent operation,is now the responsibility of the consensus nodes.This eliminates the need of the trusted authority and reduces the burden of data users,respectively.Further,in comparison to existing decentralized fine-grained searchable encryption schemes,the proposed scheme has achieved a significant reduction in storage and computational cost for the secret key associated with users.It has been verified both theoretically and practically in the performance analysis section.Mamta Brij B.Gupta Kuan-Ching Li Victor C.M.Leun Kostas E.Psannis Shingo Yamaguchi 2021IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021,8,12:5
5Prediction of Compressive Strength of Biodegradable Mg–Zn/HA Composite via Response Surface Methodology and Its Biodegradation显示文摘This work aimed to fabricate magnesium zinc/hydroxyapatite(Mg–Zn/HA) composite via powder metallurgy method and to develop a mathematical model to predict the compressive strength of the composite using response surface methodology method. The effect of various mechanical milling parameters, milling speed(200–300 r/min), ball-to-powder weight ratio(5–12.5)and HA content(2.6–10 wt%) on the compressive strength of Mg–Zn/HA composite was investigated. The model shows that high compressive strength of Mg–Zn/HA composite was achieved when the powders were prepared with high milling speed and ball-topowder weight ratio and low HA content. The mathematical model was adequate with error percentage lower than 3.4%. The microstructure of Mg–Zn/HA composite with different process parameters revealed that fine microstructure was observed at high milling speed and ball-to-powder weight ratio while agglomeration of HA was found in composite with 10 wt% HA. The agglomeration of HA led to degradation of interfacial bonding strength between matrix and reinforcement phases and hence decreased the overall compressive strength of Mg–Zn/HA composite. Biodegradation test revealed that sample with higher HA content had more weight gain and there was more formation of hydroxyapatite. 8Ionic liquid-assisted hydrothermal synthesis of SnS nanoparticles:Electrode materials for lithium batteries,photoluminescence and photocatalytic activities显示文摘Tin mono-sulphide(Sn S) nanoparticles(Nps) have been successfully synthesised through ionic liquid assisted hydrothermal method using hydrated tin(II) chloride as a precursor, thiourea as sulphur source precursors using 2-Methoxy ethyl methyl imidazolium methane sulfonate ionic liquid as co-solvent. The Reitveld refinement on powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD) confirmed the presence of orthorhombic Sn S structure as major phase along with traces amount of Sn S2 and Sn2 S3. Diffuse reflectance spectrum studies revealed the energy band gap around 1.38 e V. TEM images confirmed the Sn S Nps with average particle size of 40 nm and HRTEM suggest good crystallinity. The electrochemical property for lithium storage behaviour shows an initial discharge capacity of 658 m Ah/g and it retains discharge capacity of 426 m Ah/g for 16 cycles, at current density 100 m A/g. The obtained results indicate that Sn S Nps to be one of the possible promising anode materials for next generation Lithium batteries. Photoluminescence study of Sn S Nps shows a strong green emission at 530 nm. 9A rabbit model of non- cirrhotic portal hypertension by repeated injections of E. coli through indwelling cannulation of the gastrosplenic vein显示文摘BACKGROUND: Non-cirrhotic portal hypertension is acommon cause of portal hypertension in developing coun-tries. To understand its etiopathogenesis we developed ananimal model by repeated portal endotoxemia inducedthrough the gastrosplenic vein.METHODS: Twenty-nine rabbits (1.5-2.0 kg) were divid-ed into control (group n = 13) and experimental ( groupn = 16) groups. Heat killed E. coli were injected throughan indwelling cannula into the gastrosplenic vein in pre-sensitized animals. The animals were sacriflced at 1, 3 and6 months.RESULTS: The mean portal pressure in group animalswas significantly (P < 0. 05) higher than in group at 1(17.5 ±3.4 vs 10.4±2.2 mmHg), 3 (17.8±1.3 vs7.2 +3.6mmHg), and 6 (19.8±3.1 vs 10.3±4.8 mmHg) months.Similarly, the mean splenic weight in group was signifi-cantly greater than in group (P <0.05). Histopathologi-cally, the spleen showed medullary congestion, hemosid-rin-laden macrophages and mild fibrosis. Histologically,the liver had normal parenchyma with mild portal lympho-cytic infiltrates and kupffer cell hyperplasia. No significantanomalies were detected by liver function tests.CONCLUSIONS: The rabbit model showed significantsplenomegaly with a persistent increase in portal pressureand mild fibrosis without hepatic parenchymal injury, quiteakin to non-cirrhotic portal fibrosis as seen in humans. 11Influence of peach(Prunus persica Batsch)phenological stage on the short-term changes in oxidizable and labile pools of soil organic carbon and activities of carbon-cycle enzymes in the North-Western Himalayas显示文摘The labile organic carbon(C)and C-related enzymes are sensitive indicators capturing alterations of soil organic matter(SOM),even in a short-time scale.Although the effects of crop husbandry and land use change on these attributes have been well studied,there is no consensus about how plant phenology may impact them.This study aimed to determine the short-term effect o f six distinct phenological stages(PS-1:full bloom;PS-2:fruit set;PS-3:pit hardening;PS-4:physiological maturity;PS-5:60 d after physiological maturity;and PS-6:fall)o f peach on the changes in soil organic carbon(SOC)fractions of different oxidizability,labile C pools,and C-cycle enzyme activities in soils,for two consecutive years(2015 and 2016)in the North-Western Himalayas(NWH).Peach rhizosphere soils were sampled at the topsoil(0-15 cm)and subsoil(16-30 cm)layers,along with rhizosphere soils from adjacent perennial grasses,which served as a control.Values for most of the assessed parameters,including very labile C,labile C,microbial biomass C,permanganate oxidizable C,dissolved organic C,mineralizable C,amylase activity,and carboxymethyl-cellulase activity,were significantly(P<0.05)higher at PS-3 than at other phenological stages of peach.Conversely,a sudden decline in these soil variables was recorded at PS-5,followed by a slight buildup at PS-6,particularly in the topsoil of the peach orchard.Short-term changes in organic C fractions of different oxidizability,influenced by peach phenological stage,significantly(P<0.05)affected C management index,C pool index,and lability index.Both the C management index and lability index showed their highest values at PS-3 and their lowest values at PS-5,clearly indicating short-term accretion and depletion of SOC,in tandem with the peach phenological events.Principal component analysis suggested that a composite of soil indicators,including microbial biomass C,dissolved organic C,amylase,and invertase,could help detect short-term changes in SOC content.It is concluded that peach phenological events had a major impact on the short-term variations of the studied soil variables,which could be attributed to changes in the above-and belowground plant residues,as well as the extent of nutrients and water acquisition.Sovan DEBNATH Brij Lai ATTRI Anil KUMAR Arun KISHOR Raj NARAYAN Kanchan SINHA Arpan BHOWMIK Anil SHARMA Desh Beer SINGH 2020Pedosphere2020,30,5:2
