| 1 | Development of integrated two-stage thermoelectric generators for large temperature difference显示文摘Multi-stage thermoelectric(TE) modules can withstand a large temperature difference and can be used to obtain a high conversion efficiency. In this study, two-stage PbTe/Bi2Te3 TE modules were developed with an enhanced efficiency through a comprehensive study of device structure design, module fabrication, and performance evaluation. PbTe-based AgPbmSbTem+2(abbreviated as LAST) is a typically high ZT material, while the corresponding TE module was rarely reported so far. How to utilize LAST to fabricate high efficiency TE modules therefore remains a central problem. Finite element simulation indicates that the temperature stability of the two-stage module for LAST is better than that of two-segmented module. Compared to Cu,Ni, and Ni-Fe alloys, Co-Fe alloy is an effective metallization layer for PbTe due to its low contact resistance and thin diffusion layer. By sintering a slice of Cu on TE legs, pure tinfoil can be used as a common welding method for mid-temperature TE modules. | 2 | Effects of Mg on Mechanical Properties of 35CrNi3MoV Steel显示文摘The effects of Mg on the mechanical properties of 35CrNi3MoV steel has been studied in this paper. The results show that Mg has less effect on the tensile properties and hardness of the steel at room temperature, but a right amount of Mg improves impact and fracture toughness and decreases the fracture-transition temperature considerably due to inclusions modification, as well as prolongs the notch stress rupture life dramatically through strengthening grain boundary and modifying boundary carbides. | 3 | Removal of gaseous volatile organic compounds via vacuum ultraviolet photodegradation: Review and prospect显示文摘Volatile organic compounds(VOCs) have attracted much attention for decades as they are the precursors of photochemical smog and are harmful to the environment and human health. Vacuum ultraviolet(VUV) photodegradation is a simple and effective method to decompose VOCs (ranging from tens to hundreds of ppmV) without additional oxidants or catalysts in the air at atmospheric pressure. In this paper, we review the research progress of VOCs removal via VUV photodegradation. The fundamentals are outlined and the key operation factors for VOCs degradation, such as humidity, oxygen content, VOCs initial concentration, light intensity, and flow rate, are discussed. VUV photodegradation of VOCs mixture is elucidated. The application of VUV photodegradation in combination with ozoneassisted catalytic oxidation(OZCO) and photocatalytic oxidation(PCO) systems, and as the pre-treatment technique for biological purification are illustrated. | 5 | Repetitive DNA Sequences from the X Chromosome of the Spiny Eel (Mastacembelus aculeatus)显示文摘To investigate the characters of repetitive DNA se-quence in the sex chromosomes of the spiny eel (Mastacembelus aculeatus), the X chromosomal library was screened and a family of repetitive sequence, consisting of Ma 1-Ma 6, was isolated. The fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) result confirmed that Ma 1- Ma 5 dispersed over sex chromosomes and all autosomes, whereas, Ma 6 is sex chromosome-specific and distributed only on the C-band positive regions of X chromosome, and Ma 6 maybe the main components of the heterochromatic regions of X chro-mosome. | 6 | Enhanced piezoelectric properties and thermal stability of Bi_(0.5)Na_(0.5)TiO_(3)modified BiFeO_(3)-BaTiO_(3)ceramics with morphotropic phase boundary显示文摘Morphotropic phase boundary(MPB)plays a key role in tuning piezoelectric responses of ferroelectric ceramics.Here,Bi_(0.5)Na_(0.5)TiO_(3)modified BiFeO_(3)-BaTiO_(3)ternary solid solutions of 0.7BiFeO_(3)-(0.3-x)BaTiO_(3)-xBi_(0.5)Na_(0.5)TiO_(3)(referred to as BF-BT-xBNT,0.00≤x≤0.04)were prepared for lead-free piezo-electrics.All the ceramics exhibit an MPB with coexisting rhombohedral(R)and tetragonal(T)phases,and the R/T phase ratio decreases upon increasing x.The increment of BNT promotes the grain growth,lowers the leakage current and Curie temperature(TC),and gradually drives the ferroelectric to relaxor transition.Because of the MPB with appropriate R/T phase ratio,increased grain size and density,and decreased leakage current,the well-balanced performance between d_(33)=206 pC/N and TC=488℃is obtained in x=0.01 case.In addition,the further enhanced in-situ d_(33)=286e347 pC/N is obtained in BF-BT-xBNT ceramics along with the improved depolarization temperature T_(d)from 280 to 312℃,showing a potential application for lead-free piezoceramics at high temperature. | Shuai Cheng Boping Zhang Shengjie Ai Hongbao Yu Xin Wang Jiahao Yang Changrong Zhou Jingtai Zhao Guanghui Rao | 2023 | Journal of Materiomics2023,9,3: | 0 |
