| 1 | Association of ezrin expression in intestinal and diffuse gastric carcinoma with clinicopathological parameters and tumor type显示文摘AIM: To investigate the correlation between ezrin expression and types of gastric carcinoma and clinicopathological variables. METHODS: We examined ezrin protein expression in 75 gastric carcinoma (53 intestinal types of adenocarcinoma, 22 diffuse types of carcinoma) tissues by immunohistochemistry. The results were compared with clinicopathological parameters such as tumor type, grade of tumor, clinical stage, presence of metastatic lymph node, and depth of invasion. RESULTS: Ezrin immunostaining was positive in 43 cases (81.1%) of intestinal type and in 9 (40.9%) cases of diffuse type adenocarcinomas (P < 0.001). In gastric carcinomas, the expression of ezrin protein correlated with the status of H pylori and survival. There was no correlation between expression of ezrin with TNM stage and histological grade of gastric carcinomas (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION: The low expression of ezrin implicates the loss of adhesion in diffuse carcinomas. | 2 | Exosomes with low miR-34c-3p expression promote invasion and migration of non-small cell lung cancer by upregulating integrinα2β1显示文摘Exosomes play critical roles in regulating various physiological and pathological processes,including immune stimulation,immune suppression,cardiovascular diseases,and cancers.Recent studies show that exosomes that transport specific microRNAs(miRNAs)are involved in tumor development.However,the molecular mechanism by which tumor invasion and migration are regulated by exosomes from non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)is not well understood.Here,we show that exosomes shuttling low levels of miR-34c-3p are involved in NSCLC progression.Our results showed that exosomes derived from NSCLC cells carrying low levels of miR-34c-3p could be transported into the cytoplasm of NSCLC cells and accelerate NSCLC invasion and migration by upregulating integrinα2β1.A luciferase assay revealed that integrinα2β1 was the direct target of miR-34c-3p,and overexpression of integrinα2β1 could promote the invasion and migration of NSCLC cells.The analysis of exosomes derived from clinical serum samples indicated that the expression of miR-34c-3p was significantly downregulated in exosomes from NSCLC patients compared with that of normal controls.A549-derived exosomes promoted NSCLC cells lung metastases in vivo.Exosomes shuttling low levels of miR-34c-3p were associated with the progression of NSCLC in vitro and in vivo.Our data demonstrate that exosomes shuttling low levels of miR-34c-3p can accelerate the invasion and migration of NSCLC by upregulating integrinα2β1.MiR-34c-3p can be a diagnostic and prognostic marker for NSCLC.High expression of integrinα2β1 is positively related to the migration and metastasis of NSCLC cells. | Wenjing Huang Yanyan Yan Yun Liu Minting Lin Jinxiang Ma Wei Zhang Jianwei Dai Jiajun Li Qiaoru Guo Hubiao Chen Bolat Makabel Hong Liu Chaoyue Su Hong Bi Jianye Zhang | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020，5，1： | 5 |

| 5 | A new can didate vaccine for human brucellosis based on influenza viral vectors:a preliminary investigation for the development of an immunization schedule in a guinea pig model显示文摘Background:A new candidate vector vaccine against human brucellosis based on recombinant influenza viral vectors(rIVV)subtypes H5N1 expressing Brucella outer membrane protein(Omp)16,L7/L12,Omp19or Cu-Zn SOD proteins has been developed.This paper presents the results of the study of protection of the vaccine using on guinea pigs,including various options of administering,dose and frequency.Provided data of the novel vaccine candidate will contribute to its further movement into the preclinical stage study.Methods:General states of guinea pigs was assessed based on behavior and dynamics of a guinea pig weight-gain test.The effectiveness of the new anti-brucellosis vector vaccine was determined by studying its protective effect after conjunctival,intranasal and sublingual administration in doses 10^(5) EID50,10^(6) EID_(50) and 10^(7) EID_(50) during prime and boost vaccinations of animals,followed by challenge with a virulent strain of B.melitensis 16 M infection.For sake of comparison,the commercial ft melitensis Rev.1 vaccine was used as a control.The protective properties of vaccines were assessed by quantitation of Brucella colonization in organs and tissues of infected animals and compared to the control groups.Results:It was observed a gradual increase in body weight of guinea pigs after prime and booster immunization with the vacci ne using conjunctival,intra nasal and subli ngual routes of administration,as well as after using various doses of vaccine.The most optimal way of using the vaccine has been established:double intranasal immunization of guinea pigs at a dose of 10^(6) EID50, which provides 80%protection of guinea pigs from B.melitensis 16 M infection(P<0.05),which is comparable to the results of the effectiv en ess of the commercial B.melitensis Rev.1 vacci ne.Conclusions:We developed effective human vaccine candidate against brucellosis and developed its immunization protocol in guinea pig model.We believe that because of these studies,the proposed vaccine has achieved the best level of protection,which in turn provides a basis for its further promotion. | Dina Bugybayeva Zhailaubay Kydyrbayev Nadezhda Zinina Nurika Assanzhanova Bolat Yespembetov Yerken Kozhamkulov Kunsulu Zakarya Sholpan Ryskeldinova Kaissar Tabynov | 2021 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2021，10，1： | 3 |

| 7 | Investigation of performance and emission characteristics of waste cooking oil as biodiesel in a diesel engine显示文摘Biodiesel is one of the most popular prospective alternative fuels and can be obtained from a variety of sources. Waste frying oil is one such source along with the various raw vegetable oils. However, some specific technical treatments are required to improve certain fuel properties such as viscosity and calorific value of the biodiesel being obtained from waste cooking oil methyl ester(WCOME). Various treatments are applied depending on the source and therefore the composition of the cooking oil. This research investigated the performance of WCOME as an alternative biofuel in a four-stroke direct injection diesel engine. An 8-mode test was undertaken with diesel fuel and five WCOME blends. The best compromise blend in terms of performance and emissions was identified. Results showed that energy utilization factors of the blends were similar within the range of the operational parameters(speed, load and WCOME content).
