| 1 | Cold-Induced CBF–PIF3 Interaction Enhances Freezing Tolerance by Stabilizing the phyB Thermosensor in Arabidopsis显示文摘Growth inhibition and cold-acclimation strategies help plants withstand cold stress, which adversely affects growth and survival.PHYTOCHROME B(phyB)regulates plant growth through perceiving both light and ambient temperature signals. However, the mechanism by which phyB mediates the plant response to cold stress remains elusive. Here,we show that the key transcription factors mediating cold acclimation,C-REPEAT BINDING FACTORs(CBFs),interact with PHYTOCHROME-INTERACTING FACTOR 3(PIF3)under cold stress, thus attenuating the mutually assured destruction of PIF3–phyB.Cold-stabilized phyB acts downstream of CBFs to positively regulate freezing tolerance by modulating the expression of stress-responsive and growth-related genes.Consistent with this, phyB mutants exhibited a freezing-sensitive phenotype, whereas phyB-overexpression transgenic plants displayed enhanced freezing tolerance.Further analysis showed that the PIF1,PIF4,and PIF5 proteins, all of which negatively regulate plant freezing tolerance, were destabilized by cold stress in a phytochrome-dependent manner.Collectively, our study reveals that CBFs–PIF3–phyB serves as an important regulatory module for modulating plant response to cold stress. | Bochen Jiang Yiting Shi Yue Peng Yuxin Jia Yan Yan Xiaojing Dong Hui Li Jie Dong Jigang Li Zhizhong Gong Michael F.Thomashow Shuhua Yang | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,6: | 13 |
| 2 | A Discrete State Event Driven Simulation based Losses Analysis for Multi-terminal Megawatt Power Electronic Transformer显示文摘At present, power electronic transformers(PETs)have been widely used in power systems. With the increase of PET capacity to the megawatt level.the problem of increased losses need to be taken seriously. As an important indicator of power electronic device designing, losses have always been the focus of attention. At present, the losses are generally measured through experiments, but it takes a lot of time and is difficult to quantitatively analyze the internal distribution of PET losses. To solve the above problems, this article first qualitatively analyzes the losses of power electronic devices and proposes a loss calculation method based on pure simulation. This method uses the Discrete State Event Driven(DSED)modeling method to solve the problem of slow simulation speed of large-capacity power electronic devices and uses a loss calculation method that considers the operating conditions of the device to improve the calculation accuracy. For the PET prototype in this article,a losses model of the PET is established. The comparison of experimental and simulation results verifies the feasibility of the losses model. Then the losses composition of PET was analyzed to provide reference opinions for actual operation. It can help pre-analyze the losses distribution of PET,thereby providing a potential method for improving system efficiency. | Jialin Zheng Zhengming Zhao Bochen Shi Zhujun Yu Jiahe Ju Zhiqiang Fan | 2020 | CES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems2020,4,4: | 5 |
| 3 | A Numerical Convex Lens for the State-Discretized Modeling and Simulation of Megawatt Power Electronics Systems as Generalized Hybrid Systems显示文摘Modeling and simulation have emerged as an indispensable approach to create numerical experiment platforms and study engineering systems. However, the increasingly complicated systems that engineers face today dramatically challenge state-of-the-art modeling and simulation approaches.Such complicated systems, which are composed of not only continuous states but also discrete events, and which contain complex dynamics across multiple timescales, are defined as generalized hybrid systems(GHSs)in this paper. As a representative GHS,megawatt power electronics(MPE)systems have been largely integrated into the modern power grid, but MPE simulation remains a bottleneck due to its unacceptable time cost and poor convergence. To address this challenge, this paper proposes the numerical convex lens approach to achieve state-discretized modeling and simulation of GHSs.This approach transforms conventional time-discretized passive simulations designed for pure-continuous systems into state-discretized selective simulations designed for GHSs.When this approach was applied to a largescale MPE-based renewable energy system,a 1000-fold increase in simulation speed was achieved,in comparison with existing software.Furthermore, the proposed approach uniquely enables the switching transient simulation of a largescale megawatt system with high accuracy, compared with experimental results, and with no convergence concerns. The numerical convex lens approach leads to the highly efficient simulation of intricate GHSs across multiple timescales, and thus significantly extends engineers’capability to study systems with numerical experiments. | Bochen Shi Zhengming Zhao Yicheng Zhu Zhujun Yu Jiahe Ju | 2021 | Engineering2021,7,12: | 3 |
| 4 | Cu/CdcO_(3)catalysts for efficient electrochemical CO_(2)reduction over the wide potential window显示文摘High efficiency and low-cost catalyst-driven electrocatalytic CO_(2)reduction to CO production are of great significance for energy storage and development. The severe competitive hydrogen evolution reaction occurs at large negative potential window limits the achievement of the target product from CO_(2)at high efficiency. Here,we successfully prepared Cu_(x)/CdcO_(3)composite catalyst rich in interfaces,in which achieved high CO Faraday eficiency exceeded 90%in a wide potential window of 700 mV and highest value up to 97.9%at-0.90V vs.RHE.The excellent performance can be ascribed to the positive contribution of Cu_(x)/CdcO_(3),which maintains a suitable high local pH value during electrochemical reduction, thus inhibiting the competitive hydrogen evolution reaction. Moreover, the compact structure between Cu and CdCO_(3)ensures fast electron transfer both inside catalysts and interface, thus speeding up the reaction kinetics of CO_(2)to CO conversion.Theoretically calculations further prove that the combination of Cu and CdcO_(3)provides the well-defined electronic structure for intermediates adsorption, significantly reducing the reaction barrier for the formation of co.This work provides new insights into the design of eficient electrochemical CO_(2)reduction catalysts for inhibiting hydrogen evolution by adjusting the local pH effect. | Congwen Sun Jinhui Hao Bing Wei Meng Wu Hong Liu Yusong Xiong Bochen Hu Longhua Li Min Chen Weidong Shi | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,12: | 0 |
