| 2 | Two mode photon bunching effect as witness of quantum criticality in circuit QED显示文摘We suggest a scheme to probe critical phenomena at a quantum phase transition (QPT) using the quantum correlation of two photonic modes simultaneously coupled to a critical system. As an experimentally accessible physical implementation,a circuit QED system is formed by a capacitively coupled Josephson junction qubit array interacting with one superconducting transmission line resonator (TLR). It realizes an Ising chain in the transverse field (ICTF) which interacts with the two magnetic modes propagating in the TLR. We demonstrate that in the vicinity of criticality the originally independent fields tend to display photon bunching effects due to their interaction with the ICTF. | 3 | Extraction and RP-HPLC determination of taxol in rat plasma, cell culture and quality control samples显示文摘A rapid,sensitive,selective and validated reverse phase high-performance liquid chromatography(RP-HPLC)method for the estimation of paclitaxel in micro-sample of rat plasma and in culture of cancer cells was performed in this study.The mobile phase consisted of an optimized mixture of methanol:water:trifluroacetic acid(80:20:0.1,v/v/v).Column elution at a flow rate of 1 mL/minute with UV detection at 225 nm at room temperature was used.The RP-HPLC method was successfully applied for the determination of paclitaxel in plasma samples and in culture of cancer cells with nano-quantity of estimation.The validation studies were performed in accordance with the International Conference on Harmonization(ICH)guidelines.The intra-and inter-day precision showed that the coefficients of variation ranged from 1.07%to 4.27%at different levels of concentrations.To the best of our knowledge,this study also reported for the first time the optimization of different solvents for effective extraction of paclitaxel wherein tert.-butyl methyl ether(TBME):diethyl ether(DEE)in 50:50 v/v composition was found most efficient with extraction efficiency ranging between 77.99%and 91.74%and between 76.14 and 93.66%in the plasma and cell culture,respectively.This proposed method was successfully applied to study the pharmacokinetics of paclitaxel and the influence of verapamil and all-trans retinoic acid(atRA)on paclitaxel pharmacokinetics in rat models.This proposed method might emerge as a valuable aid in the laboratory monitoring of paclitaxel in a variety of in vitro as well as in vivo scenarios. | Rakesh Kumar Tekade Antony D'Emanuele Abdelbary Elhissi Ashish Agrawal Anurekha Jain Basel Tawfiq Arafat Narendra Kumar Jain | 2013 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2013，27，5： | 5 |
| 4 | Ghrelin attenuates gastrointestinal epithelial damage induced by doxorubicin显示文摘AIM:To examine the influence of ghrelin on the regenerative potential of gastrointestinal(GI)epithelium.METHODS:Damage to GI epithelium was induced in mice by two intravenous injections of doxorubicin(10 and 6 mg/kg).Some of the doxorubicin-treated mice received a continuous subcutaneous infusion of ghrelin(1.25μg/h)for 10 d via implanted mini-osmotic pumps.To label dividing stem cells in the S-phase of the cell cycle,all mice received a single intraperitoneal injection of 5'-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine(BrdU)one hour before sacrifice.The stomach along with the duodenum were then removed and processed for histological examination and immunohistochemistry using anti-BrdU antibody.RESULTS:The results showed dramatic damage to the GI epithelium 3 d after administration of chemotherapy which began to recover by day 10.In ghrelintreated mice,attenuation of GI mucosal damage was evident in the tissues examined postchemotherapy.Immunohistochemical analysis showed an increase in the number of BrdUlabeled cells and an alteration in their distribution along the epithelial lining in response to damage by doxorubicin.In mice treated with both doxorubicin and ghrelin,the number of BrdUlabeled cells was reduced when compared with mice treated with doxorubicin alone.CONCLUSION:The present study suggests that ghrelin enhances the regenerative potential of the GI epithelium in doxorubicintreated mice,at least in part,by modulating cell proliferation. | Mohamed A Fahim Hazem Kataya Rkia El-Kharrag Dena AM Amer Basel al-Ramadi Sherif M Karam | 2011 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2011，17，33： | 3 |
