| 1 | Meta-analysis of the relationship between Epstein-Barr virus infection and clinicopathological features of patients with gastric carcinoma显示文摘Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection has been causally associated with occurrence of many malignant neoplasms. EBV-encoded small RNAs (EBERs) have been detected from about 10% of gastric carcinoma tissue cells, suggesting that EBV infection is associated with the development of gastric carcinoma. The present study pooled the data from the papers concerning EBV-related gastric cancers and performed a meta-analysis of 22 research papers. Among these papers, a total of 5475 cases with gastric cancer were enrolled, of whom 411 cases were found EBV-positive, with the EBV-positive rate being 7.5%. Among the EBV-positive gastric cancer cases, the detection rate was 11.1% in males and 3.0% in females. Compared with EBV-negative gastric cancer, EBV-positive gastric cancer had less lymph node metastasis. Based on the histological typing, of the EBV-positive gastric cancers, the diffuse type was 8.1%, and intestinal type was 8.0%. The examined specimen types included stored paraffin blocks and fresh surgically removed specimens, their EBV positive rates were 7.9% and 6.5% respectively. In terms of geographical distribution, the detection rate of EBV-positive gastric cancer was 9.4% in America, 6.1% in Asia and 9.1% in Europe. Meta-analysis showed that EBV infection occurred only in gastric cancer tissue cells and was significantly associated with the patients’ gender, lymph node metastases, and the location where tumor tissue generated and geographical distribution (P<0.05), but was not significantly associated with the patients’ histological types of tumor and the types of specimens (P>0.05). | 2 | Study on method and mechanism for simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification of flue gas based on the TiO_2 photocatalysis显示文摘Based on the TiO2 photocatalysis mechanism, a new method of simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification from flue gas was proposed. Preparation of TiO2 photocatalyst, design of photocatalysis reactor and influencing factors for simul- taneous removal of SO2 and NO, and removal mechanism of SO2 and NO were studied. After the optimal values of concentration of O2 in flue gas, the relative humidity of flue gas and the irradiation time in the photocatalysis reactor were used, the efficiencies of removal for SO2 and NO can be achieved above 98% and about 67%, respectively. | 3 | Surface modification of hydrophobic NaYF_4:Yb,Er upconversion nanophosphors and their applications for immunoassay显示文摘β-NaYF4:Yb,Er upconversion nanophosphor (UCNP) is known as one of the most efficient NIR-to-visible upconversion materials, which shows great potential in bioanalytical chemistry and bioimaging. However, its applications are greatly limited due to its low water dispersibility and thus poor biocompatibility. In this paper, poly(acrylic acid) (PAA)-based ligand exchange strategies are carried out to modify oleic acid-capped hydrophobic β-NaYF4:Yb,Er UCNPs into hydrophilic ones. After efficient surface modification, the presence of free carboxylic acid groups on the surfaces of UCNPs results in high solubility in water, and also allows further conjugation with NH2-containing biomolecules. Facilitated by the covalent linkage between the-COOH groups on UCNPs surfaces and -NH2 groups in antigen/antibody, a sensitive immunosensor is constructed by using PAA-functionalized β-NaYF4:Yb,Er UCNPs as biolabels. | 4 | Real-variable characterizations of anisotropic product Musielak-Orlicz Hardy spaces显示文摘Let A :=(A_1, A_2) be a pair of expansive dilations and φ : R^n×R^m×[0, ∞) → [0, ∞) an anisotropic product Musielak-Orlicz function. In this article, we introduce the anisotropic product Musielak-Orlicz Hardy space H~φ_A(R^n× R^m) via the anisotropic Lusin-area function and establish its atomic characterization, the g-function characterization, the g_λ~*-function characterization and the discrete wavelet characterization via first giving out an anisotropic product Peetre inequality of Musielak-Orlicz type. Moreover, we prove that finite atomic decomposition norm on a dense subspace of H~φ_A(R^n× R^m) is equivalent to the standard infinite atomic decomposition norm. As an application, we show that, for a given admissible triplet(φ, q, s), if T is a sublinear operator and maps all(φ, q, s)-atoms into uniformly bounded elements of some quasi-Banach spaces B, then T uniquely extends to a bounded sublinear operator from H~φ_A(R^n× R^m) to B. Another application is that we obtain the boundedness of anisotropic product singular integral operators from H~φ_A(R^n× R^m) to L~φ(R^n× R^m)and from H~φ_A(R^n×R^m) to itself, whose kernels are adapted to the action of A. | 5 | Epigenetic reprogramming in mammalian nuclear transfer显示文摘Somatic cloning has been succeeded in some species, but the cloning efficiency is very low, which limits the application of the technique in many areas of research and biotechnology. The cloning of mammals by somatic cell nuclear transfer (NT) requires epigenetic reprogramming of the differentiated state of donor cell to a totipotent, embry-onic ground state. Accumulating evidence indicates that in-complete or inappropriate epigenetic reprogramming of do-nor nuclei is likely to be the primary cause of failures in nu-clear transfer. | 6 | Absorption,Accumulation and Distribution of Zinc in Highly-Yielding Winter Wheat显示文摘Zinc(Zn) is an important essential microelement for wheat.In order to study the characteristics of Zn absorption,accumulation and distribution in highly-yielding winter wheat(with a grain yield of 9 000 kg ha-1),field experiments were conducted in Gaocheng County of Hebei Province,China.Four winter wheat cultivars,i.e.,Shimai 14,Jifeng 703,Shimai 12,and Shixin 828,and four cultivars,i.e.,Temai 1,Shimai 12,Shixin 531,and Shixin 828,were used in the experiment,during 2004-2005 and 2005-2006,respectively.Plant samples were taken from the plots at each growing stage for Zn concentration analysis.The main results showed that the concentration of Zn in various above-ground organs of wheat was 9.5-112.5 mg kg-1 at different growing stages.The organ with the highest Zn concentration differed with the change of growth center at different growing stages.Accumulation of Zn in leaf blades was the highest among all the organs during early growing period,and more than 50% of the Zn accumulation was distributed to leaf blades before jointing,and higher than that to other organs.In late growing period,however,the accumulation of Zn in grains was the highest,and 58.1% of the Zn accumulation was distributed in grains at maturity.The total accumulation of Zn in wheat plant during its life span ranged from 384.9 to 475.9 g ha-1.The amount of Zn required for the formation of 100 kg grain yield ranged from 4.3 to 5.2 g.All the organs were ordered in such a sequence that leaf blades > spikes > leaf sheaths > stems according to their net absorption and transportation of Zn as well as their contribution to Zn accumulation in grains.58.2-60.3% of the Zn accumulated in grains was redistributed from other organs,mostly from leaf blades.Concentration and accumulation of Zn in all the organs of wheat was high during early and middle growing periods,while accumulation of Zn in grains during late growing period mainly depended on the redistribution from other organs.According to these characteristics of Zn absorption and accumulation,Zn should be applied as seed dressing or basal fertilizer,so as to accelerate the early growth and Zn absorption of wheat. | DANG Hong-kai,LI Rui-qi,SUN Ya-hui,ZHANG Xin-wen and LI Yan-ming College of Agronomy,Agricultural University of Hebei,Baoding 071000,P.R.China | 2010 | Agricultural Sciences in China2010,9,7: | 5 |

| 8 | Microstructure and mechanical properties at elevated temperature of Mg-Al-Ni alloys prepared through powder metallurgy显示文摘Mg-Al-Ni alloys were prepared by powder metallurgy, and their microstructure and elevated temperature mechanical properties were investigated. Results indicate that, in addition to α-Mg matrix, both coarse Al_3Ni_2 particles and fine Al Ni nano-particles exist in the Mg-Al-Ni alloys. The strength at 150?C is improved with the increase in Ni content. Mg-18.3Al-8Ni alloy possesses a compressive strength of234.7 MPa and a yield strength of 146.5 MPa. Plasticity is also improved with a low concentration of Ni. Mg-11.3Al-2Ni alloy possesses a compression ratio of 17.3%. The phases of Al_3Ni_2 and Al Ni in the alloys block the movements of grain boundaries and dislocations during the deformation at elevated temperature. The existence of Al Ni phase provides a non-basal slip system, leading to the improvement in plasticity. | 11 | Kinetics and Mechanism of Oxidation of Glycol by Dihydroxydiperiodatonickelate ( Ⅳ )Complex in Aqueous Alkaline Medium显示文摘The kinetics of oxidation of glycol by dihydroxydiperiodato nickelate ( Ⅳ) complex (DDN) was studied by spectrophotometry in aqueous alkaline medium in a temperature range of 25-40℃. The reaction was found to be first order with respect to Ni( Ⅳ ) and also to be first order with respect to glycol. The rate increases with the increase in [OH ] and decreases with the increase in [IO-4], showing that dihydroxymonoperiodatonickelate ( Ⅳ )(DMN) is the reactive species of oxidant. Salt effect indicated that the reaction is of ion-dipole type. No free radical was detected. A mechanism of an inner-sphere two-electron transfer reaction involving a preequilibrium between DDN and DMN is proposed, and the rate equation derived from the mechanism can explain all experimental observations. | 13 | Effects of novel Fufang Biejia Ruangan Tablets with sheep placenta as substitute for Hominis Placenta on CCl4-induced liver fibrosis显示文摘Objective:Fufang Biejia Ruangan Tablet(FBRT) is widely used for the treatment of liver fibrosis.However,Hominis Placenta(HP),as an important adjuvant of FBRT,has been restricted for medicinal using due to the limited availability,ethical controversy and safety issues.The present study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of novel FBRT(N-FBRT) with sheep placenta(SP) as substitute for HP on liver fibrosis and explore its possible mechanisms.Different dosages of SP in N-FBRT were also evaluated.Methods:Rats were subcutaneously injected with CCl_(4)to induce liver fibrosis and then treated with NFBRT and FBRT.The anti-hepatic fibrosis effect was determined based on biomarkers analysis of liver function and hepatic fibrosis,and the liver pathology was visualized by H&E staining and Masson staining.The oxidative stress and inflammatory cytokines were also detected.Immunohistochemical staining of a-SMA,real time PCR and Western blotting were performed to evaluate hepatic stellate cells(HSCs)activation and TGF-β1/Smad signaling pathway.Results:N-FBRT and FBRT could ameliorate CCl_(4)-induced liver fibrosis and improve liver function,as evidenced by lowering serum biomarkers levels of liver function and hepatic fibrosis,and decreasing hepatic Hyp content and collagen deposition,and improving the hepatic morphology and architecture changes.Moreover,the anti-liver fibrosis effect was better when the dosage of SP used in N-FBRT was 1/2 of HP in FBRT.Administration of N-FBRT markedly alleviated oxidative stress and inflammatory cytokines,and inhibited a-SMA expression.Furthermore,the mRNA expression of Col Ⅰ,Col Ⅲ,a-SMA and TGF-β1,and proteins expression of a-SMA,TGF-β1,Smad2/3 and p-Smad2/3 were significantly down-regulated by N-FBRT treatment.Conclusion:SP can be used as substitute for HP to prepare N-FBRT for the treatment of liver fibrosis and the anti-liver fibrosis effect of N-FBRT is achieved by eliminating oxidative stress and inflammation,and inhibiting HSCs activation and ECM production by blocking TGF-β1/Smad signaling pathway. | Baode Shen Li Deng Yuan Liu Ruisheng Li Chengying Shen Xiao Liu Yinchao Li Hailong Yuan | 2022 | Chinese Herbal Medicines2022,14,1: | 2 |
