1玻璃纤维/木塑混杂复合材料及其协同增强效应显示文摘将固体废弃物中的高密度聚乙烯(HDPE)回收后与废弃的木纤维以及短切玻璃纤维进行复合,成功地制备出混杂型木塑复合材料。研究结果表明,采用长径比较大的L型玻璃纤维增强时,木塑复合材料的弯曲强度、弯曲模量以及冲击强度同时得到提高,而采用长径比较小的玻璃纤维增强时,弯曲性能和冲击强度均呈现下降趋势。玻璃纤维增强木塑复合材料的主要破坏模式为玻璃纤维的拔出、玻璃纤维断裂、界面脱粘等。在玻璃纤维/木纤维/HDPE混杂体系中由于组元之间的协同增强作用,形成了特殊的三维网络结构,木塑复合材料的力学性能得到显著改善。崔益华 Noruziaan Bahman Lee Stephen Chang Moe 陶杰 2006高分子材料科学与工程2006,22,3:37

9Organisms causing spontaneous bacterial peritonitis in children with liver disease and ascites in Southern Iran显示文摘AIM: To determine the causative agents of spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) in children with liver disease and ascites in our center.METHODS: During a 2.5 year period, from September 2003 to March 2006, 12 patients with 13 episodes of SBP were studied. In all cases at the time of admission serum albumin and glucose, urinalysis and urine culture was performed. Analysis [white blood cell (WBC) count with differential, albumin, glucose], gram stain, culture by BACTEC method and antibiogram was done on ascitic fluids. Abdominal paracentesis was repeated after 48 h of antibiotic therapy for bacteriologic assay. The patients were followed for at least three months in a gastroenterology clinic. RESULTS: There were 7 girls (58%) and 5 boys (42%) with a median age of 5.2 years (range, 6 mo to 16 years). All cases had positive ascitic fluid culture. Gram stain was positive in 5 (38.5%) of them. The isolated organisms were S. pneumoniae in 5 (38.5%), E. coli in 2 (15.3%), S. viridans in 2 (15.3%), and K. pneumoniae, H. influenza, Enterococci, and nontypable Streptococcus each in one (7.7%). All of them except Enterococci were sensitive to ciprofloxacin and ceftriaxone. All ascitic fluid cultures were negative after 48 h of antibiotic therapy. 10Inducible nitric oxide synthetase genotype and Helicobacter pylori infection affect gastric cancer risk显示文摘AIM:To investigate the association of the inducible nitric oxide synthetase(iNOS) C150T polymorphism with Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) infection and gastric cancer(GC) risk in Iran.METHODS:In order to determine whether there was a correlation between iNOS genotype and GC in Iran,we conducted a case-control study using samples from 329 individuals.For each sample,the C150T iNOS polymorphism was genotyped by polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and restriction digestion.Patients were grouped by cancer presence,demographic and behavior characteristics,and H.pylori infection status.Statistical tests were conducted to determine whether any behavioral factors or a particular iNOS genotype was associated with GC in the study population.RESULTS:In this population,we found that smoking,hot beverage consumption,a familial history of GC and H.pylori infection status were significantly associated with GC development(P = 0.015,P < 0.001,P = 0.0034,and P < 0.015,respectively).The distribution of the C150T iNOS genotypes among the two study groups was not statistically significant alone,but was impacted by H.pylori infection status.When compared to the non-H.pylori infected group,cancer patients who had a heterozygous CT genotype and were also infected with H.pylori were 2.1 times more at risk of developing GC [odds ratio(OR) = 2.1,P = 0.03] while those with a homozygous TT genotype and infected with H.pylori were 5.0 times more at risk of developing GC(OR = 5.0,P = 0.029).In contrast,this association was not seen in patients in the control group.CONCLUSION:A CT or TT polymorphism at position 150 in the iNOS gene significantly increases the risk of GC and may be a marker for GC susceptibility.Alireza Rafiei Vahid Hosseini Ghasem Janbabai Bahman Fazli Abulghasem Ajami Zahra Hosseini-khah Jeremy J Gilbreath D Scott Merrell 2012World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,35:4

12Use of fuzzy set theory for minimizing overbreak in underground blasting operations——A case study of Alborz Tunnel,Iran显示文摘In order to increase the safety of working environment and decrease the unwanted costs related to overbreak in tunnel excavation projects, it is necessary to minimize overbreak percentage. Thus, based on regression analysis and fuzzy inference system, this paper tries to develop predictive models to estimate overbreak caused by blasting at the Alborz Tunnel. To develop the models, 202 datasets were utilized, out of which 182 were used for constructing the models. To validate and compare the obtained results,determination coefficient(R2) and root mean square error(RMSE) indexes were chosen. For the fuzzy model, R2 and RMSE are equal to 0.96 and 0.55 respectively, whereas for regression model, they are 0.41 and 1.75 respectively, proving that the fuzzy predictor performs, significantly, better than the statistical method. 13ZnO-based micromotors fueled by CO_(2):the first example of self-reorientation-induced biomimetic chemotaxis显示文摘Synthetic chemotactic micro/nanomotors are envisioned to actively‘seek out’targets by following specific chemicals,but they are mainly powered by bioincompatible fuels and only show pseudochemotaxis(or advanced chemokinesis)due to their weak self-reorientation capabilities.Here we demonstrate that synthetic ZnO-based Janus micromotors can be powered by the alternative biocompatible fuel of C0_(2);and further provide the first example of self-reorientation-induced biomimetic chemotaxis using them.The ZnO-based micromotors are highly sensitive to dissolved C0_(2) in water,which enables the corrosion of ZnO to continuously occur by providing H+through hydration.Thus,they can autonomously move even in water exposed to air based on self-diffusiophoresis.Furthermore,they can sense the local C0_(2) gradient and perform positive chemotaxis by self-reorientations under the phoretic torque.Our discovery opens a gate to developing intelligent micro/nanomotors powered by,and sensitive to,biocompatible atmospheric or endogenous gaseous chemicals for biomedical and environmental applications.Fangzhi Mou Qi Xie Jianfeng Liu Shengping Che Lamya Bahmane Ming You Jianguo Guan 2021National Science Review2021,8,11:3
14Assessing dynamic response of multispan viscoelastic thin beams under a moving mass via generalized moving least square method显示文摘Dynamic response of multispan viscoelastic thin beams subjected to a moving mass is studied by an efficient numerical method in some detail.To this end,the unknown parameters of the problem are discretized in spatial domain using generalized moving least square method(GMLSM) and then,discrete equations of motion based on Lagrange's equation are obtained.Maximum deflection and bending moments are considered as the important design parameters.The design parameter spectra in terms of mass weight and velocity of the moving mass are presented for multispan viscoelastic beams as well as various values of relaxation rate and beam span number.A reasonable good agreement is achieved between the results of the proposed solution and those obtained by other researchers.The results indicate that,although the load inertia effects in beams with higher span number would be intensified for higher levels of moving mass velocity,the maximum values of design parameters would increase either.Moreover,the possibility of mass separation is shown to be more critical as the span number of the beam increases.This fact also violates the linear relation between the mass weight of the moving load and the associated design parameters,especially for high moving mass velocities.However,as the relaxation rate of the beam material increases,the load inertia effects as well as the possibility of moving mass separation reduces.Keivan Kiani Ali Nikkhoo Bahman Mehri 2010Acta Mechanica Sinica2010,26,5:3
15Entire Catchment and Buffer Zone Approaches to Modeling Linkage Between River Water Quality and Land Cover——A Case Study of Yamaguchi Prefecture,Japan显示文摘This study investigated the linkages between river water quality and land use in river catchments in Yama- guchi Prefecture, the western Japan, in order to examine the effect of land use changes of both entire catchment and buffer zone on river water quality. Dissolved Oxygen (DO), pH, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Suspended Solids (SS), Escherichia coli, Total Nitrogen (TN) and Total Phosphorus (TP) were considered as river water quality indica- tors. Satellite images were applied to generating the land use map. Multiple regression model was applied to linking the changes in the river water quality with the land uses in both entire catchment area and buffer zone. 16Characterization of single-crystal fluorapatite nanoparticles synthesized via mechanochemical method显示文摘The synthesis of nanostructured fluorapatite (FA; Ca10(PO4)6F2) was explored from the starting materials of CaHPO4 , Ca(OH)2 , CaO, P2O5 and CaF2 via a mechanochemical process. In this research, the suitability of using the mechanochemical process to prepare a high crystalline phase of FA was studied. The characterization and structural features of the synthesized powders were evaluated using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques. The results from the structural studies indicate that the maximum lattice disturbance in the apatite structure after the mechanochemical process was at the (002) plane. Furthermore, the maximum particle size was below the crystallite size after 60 h of milling and subsequent thermal treatment at 600 C for 1 h (heated up to 600 C and kept for 1 h at this temperature). We determined that this method gives rise to the single-crystal FA with an average size in the range of 25 ± 5 to 29 ± 9 nm. 17Actinobacteria-enhanced plant growth, nutrient acquisition, and crop protection:Advances in soil, plant, and microbial multifactorial interactions显示文摘Agricultural areas of land are deteriorating every day owing to population increase, rapid urbanization, and industrialization. To feed today’s huge populations, increased crop production is required from smaller areas, which warrants the continuous application of high doses of inorganic fertilizers to agricultural land. These cause damage to soil health and, therefore, nutrient imbalance conditions in arable soils. Under these conditions, the benefits of microbial inoculants (such as Actinobacteria) as replacements for harmful chemicals and promoting ecofriendly sustainable farming practices have been made clear through recent technological advances. There are multifunctional traits involved in the production of different types of bioactive compounds responsible for plant growth promotion, and the biocontrol of phytopathogens has reduced the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. 20Viscosity prediction in selected Iranian light oil reservoirs:Artificial neural network versus empirical correlations显示文摘Viscosity is a parameter that plays a pivotal role in reservoir fluid estimations. Several approaches have been presented in the literature (Beal, 1946; Khan et al, 1987; Beggs and Robinson, 1975; Kartoatmodjo and Schmidt, 1994; Vasquez and Beggs, 1980; Chew and Connally, 1959; Elsharkawy and Alikhan, 1999; Labedi, 1992) for predicting the viscosity of crude oil. However, the results obtained by these methods have significant errors when compared with the experimental data. In this study a robust artificial neural network (ANN) code was developed in the MATLAB software environment to predict the viscosity of Iranian crude oils. The results obtained by the ANN and the three well-established semi-empirical equations (Khan et al, 1987; Elsharkawy and Alikhan, 1999; Labedi, 1992) were compared with the experimental data. The prediction procedure was carried out at three different regimes: at, above and below the bubble-point pressure using the PVT data of 57 samples collected from central, southern and offshore oil fields of Iran.
