1Monte Carlo study of nanowire magnetic properties显示文摘In this work, we use Monte Carlo simulations to study the magnetic properties of a nanowire system based on a honeycomb lattice, in the absence as well as in the presence of both an external magnetic field and crystal field. The system is formed with NL layers having spins that can take the values σ = ±1/2 and S = ±1, 0. The blocking temperature is deduced, for each spin configuration, depending on the crystal field Δ. The effect of the exchange interaction coupling Jp between the spin configurations σ and S is studied for different values of temperature at fixed crystal field. The established ground-state phase diagram, in the plane (Jp ,Δ), shows that the only stable configurations are: (1/2, 0), (1/2, +1), and (1/2,-1). The thermal magnetization and susceptibility are investigated for the two spin configurations, in the absence as well as in the presence of a crystal field. Finally, we establish the hysteresis cycle for different temperature values, showing that there is almost no remaining magnetization in the absence of the external magnetic field, and that the studied system exhibits a super-paramagnetic behavior.R. 12Magnetic properties of La2CuMnO6 double perovskite ceramic investigated by Monte Carlo simulations显示文摘We present a theoretical study of the magnetic properties of the lanthanum copper manganate double perovskite La2CuMnO6 ceramic,using Monte Carlo simulations.We analyze and discuss the ground state phase diagrams in different planes to show the effect of every physical parameter.Based on the Monte Carlo simulations,which combine Metropolis algorithm and Ising model,we explore the thermal behavior of the total magnetization and susceptibility.We also present and discuss the influence of physical parameters such as the external magnetic field,the exchange coupling interactions between magnetic atoms,and the exchange magnetic field on the magnetization of the system.Moreover,the critical temperature of the system is about Tc=70 K,in agreement with the experimental value.Finally,the hysteresis loops of La2CuMnO6 are discussed.S Mtougui I EL Housni N EL Mekkaoui S Ziti S Idrissi H Labrim R Khalladi L Bahmad 2020Chinese Physics B2020,29,5:1

18Magnetic properties of the double perovskite compound Sr2YRuO6显示文摘We study the magnetic properties of the double perovskite ruthenate compound Sr2YRuO6 using Monte Carlo simulations(MCS).We elaborate the ground state phase diagrams for all possible and stable configurations.The magnetizations and the susceptibilities as a function of temperature for the studied system are also reported.The effects of the exchange coupling interactions and the crystal field are examined and discussed.On the other hand, since the compound Sr2YRuO6 exhibits an antiferromagnetic behavior, we find its Néel temperature, TN≈ 31 K, which is in good agreement with the experimental results in the literature.To complete this study, the hysteresis loops and the coercive field as a function of the external magnetic field are also obtained for fixed values of the physical parameters.N. 19Central nervous system tumors and three-dimensional cell biology: Current and future perspectives in modeling显示文摘Central nervous system(CNS)tumors are a variety of distinct neoplasms that present multiple challenges in terms of treatment and prognosis.Glioblastoma,the most common primary tumor in adults,is associated with poor survival and remains one of the least treatable neoplasms.These tumors are highly heterogenous and complex in their nature.Due to this complexity,traditional cell culturing techniques and methods do not provide an ideal recapitulating model for the study of these tumors’behavior in vivo.Two-dimensional models lack the spatial arrangement,the heterogeneity in cell types,and the microenvironment that play a large role in tumor cell behavior and response to treatment.Recently,scientists have turned towards three-dimensional culturing methods,namely spheroids and organoids,as they have been shown to recapitulate tumors in a more faithful manner to their in vivo counterparts.Moreover,tumor-on-a-chip systems have lately been employed in CNS tumor modeling and have shown great potential in both studying the pathophysiology and therapeutic testing.In this review,we will discuss the current available literature on in vitro threedimensional culturing models in CNS tumors,in addition to presenting their advantages and current limitations.We will also elaborate on the future implications of these models and their benefit in the clinical setting.Zaki Abou-Mrad Jolie Bou Gharios Maya M Moubarak Ahmad Chalhoub Charbel Moussalem Hisham F Bahmad Wassim Abou-Kheir 2021World Journal of Stem Cells2021,13,8:0
