1Humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants elicited by inactivated and RBD-subunit vaccines显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 variants could induce immune escape by mutations on the receptor-binding domain(RBD)and N-terminal domain(NTD).Here we report the humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants,such as 501Y.V2(B.1.351),of the plasma and neutralizing antibodies(NAbs)elicited by CoronaVac(inactivated vaccine),ZF2001(RBD-subunit vaccine)and natural infection.Among 86 potent NAbs identified by high-throughput single-cell VDJ sequencing of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from vaccinees and convalescents,near half anti-RBD NAbs showed major neutralization reductions against the K417N/E484K/N501Y mutation combination,with E484K being the dominant cause.VH3-53/VH3-66 recurrent antibodies respond differently to RBD variants,and K417N compromises the majority of neutralizing activity through reduced polar contacts with complementarity determining regions.In contrast,the 242–244 deletion(242–244Δ)would abolish most neutralization activity of anti-NTD NAbs by interrupting the conformation of NTD antigenic supersite,indicating a much less diversity of anti-NTD NAbs than anti-RBD NAbs.Plasma of convalescents and CoronaVac vaccinees displayed comparable neutralization reductions against pseudo-and authentic 501Y.V2 variants,mainly caused by E484K/N501Y and 242–244Δ,with the effects being additive.Importantly,RBD-subunit vaccinees exhibit markedly higher tolerance to 501Y.V2 than convalescents,since the elicited anti-RBD NAbs display a high diversity and are unaffected by NTD mutations.Moreover,an extended gap between the third and second doses of ZF2001 leads to better neutralizing activity and tolerance to 501Y.V2 than the standard three-dose administration.Together,these results suggest that the deployment of RBD-vaccines,through a third-dose boost,may be ideal for combating SARS-CoV-2 variants when necessary,especially for those carrying mutations that disrupt the NTD supersite.Yunlong Cao Ayijiang Yisimayi Yali Bai Weijin Huang Xiaofeng Li Zhiying Zhang Tianjiao Yuan Ran An Jing Wang Tianhe Xiao Shuo Du Wenping Ma Liyang Song Yongzheng Li Xiang Li Weiliang Song Jiajing Wu Shuo Liu Xuemei Li Yonghong Zhang Bin Su Xianghua Guo Yangyang Wei Chuanping Gao Nana Zhang Yifei Zhang Yang Dou Xiaoyu Xu Rui Shi Bai Lu Ronghua Jin Yingmin Ma Chengfeng Qin Youchun Wang Yingmei Feng Junyu Xiao Xiaoliang Sunney Xie 2021Cell Research2021,31,7:12
2Efficacy of acupuncture on fibromyalgia syndrome:a Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of acupuncture as a treatment for fibromyalgiasyndrome.METHODS: Two review authors independently selected the trials for the Meta-analysis, assessed their methodological quality and extracted relevant data. A quality assessment was conducted according to the Cochrane Review Handbook 5.0.RevMan 5.0.20 software was used in the statistical analysis.RESULTS: A total of 523 trials were reviewed and 9trials were selected for Meta-analysis.(a) Compared acupuncture with sham acupuncture, there was a significant difference in the visual analogue scale,but no difference in the pressure pain threshold.Additionally,and there was a difference in the fibromyalgia impact questionnaire and the multidisciplinary pain inventory after 4 weeks of treatment,but no difference after 7 weeks of therapy. There was no difference in the numerical rating scale in weeks 3, 8 and 13.(b) Acupuncture versus drugs.There were differences in the VAS after 20 days of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment comparing with the drug amitriptyline, and after 4 weeks of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment comparing with the drug fluoxetine and amitriptyline.There were also differences in the number of tender points when comparing acupuncture with amitriptyline or fluoxetine. There was no difference in total efficiency when comparing acupuncture with amitriptyline after 4 weeks of treatment, but there were differences between the two groups 45 days after treatment.There were also differences in total efficiency comparing acupuncture with fluoxetine,and when comparing 4 weeks post-treatment of acupuncture with a combination of amitriptyline,oryzanol and vitamin B.(c) A comparison of acupuncture, drugs and exercise with drugs and exercise showed PPT differences in months 3 and 6.There was no difference between the two comparison groups after follow-up visits in months 12 and 24.CONCLUSION: Compared with sham acupuncture,there was not enough evidence to prove the efficacy of acupuncture therapy for the treatment of fibromyalgia. 3Chaos-enhanced moth-flame optimization algorithm for global optimization显示文摘Moth-flame optimization(MFO)is a novel metaheuristic algorithm inspired by the characteristics of a moth’s navigation method in nature called transverse orientation.Like other metaheuristic algorithms,it is easy to fall into local optimum and leads to slow convergence speed.The chaotic map is one of the best methods to improve exploration and exploitation of the metaheuristic algorithms.In the present study,we propose a chaos-enhanced MFO(CMFO)by incorporating chaos maps into the MFO algorithm to enhance its performance.The chaotic map is utilized to initialize the moths’population,handle the boundary overstepping,and tune the distance parameter.The CMFO is benchmarked on three groups of benchmark functions to find out the most efficient one.The performance of the CMFO is also verified by using two real engineering problems.The statistical results clearly demonstrate that the appropriate chaotic map(singer map)embedded in the appropriate component of MFO can significantly improve the performance of MFO.LI Hongwei LIU Jianyong CHEN Liang BAI Jingbo SUN Yangyang LU Kai 2019Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2019,30,6:3
4Enhanced oxygen reduction reaction performance of Co@N–C derived from metal-organic frameworks ZIF-67 via a continuous microchannel reactor显示文摘Traditional methods of preparing metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)compounds have the disadvantages such as poor dispersion,inefficient and discontinuous process.In this work,microchannel reactor is used to prepare MOFs-derived zeolite-imidazole material via flash nanoprecipitation to form ZIF-67+PEI(FNP),which reduces the MOF synthesis time down to millisecond time interval while keeping the synthesized ZIF-67+PEI(FNP)highly dispersed.The Co@N–C(FNP)catalyst obtained by flash nanoprecipitation and carbonization has a higher Co content and thus more active sites for oxygen reduction reaction than the Co@N–C(DM)catalyst prepared by direct mixing method.Electrochemical tests show that the Co@N–C(FNP)catalyst prepared by this method has excellent oxygen reduction performance,good methanol resistance and high stability.The onset potential and half-wave potential of Co@N–C(FNP)are 0.92 VRHE and 0.83 VRHE,respectively,which are higher than that of Co@N–C(DM)(Eonset=0.90 VRHEand E1/2=0.83VRHE).Moreover,the Zn-air battery assembled with Co@N–C(FNP)as the cathode catalyst has high open circuit voltage,high power density and large specific capacity.The performance of these batteries has been comparable to that of Pt/C assembled batteries.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations confirm that the Co(220)crystal plane present in Co@N–C(FNP)have stronger adsorption energy than that of Co(111)crystal plane in Co@N–C(DM),leading to better electrocatalytic performance of the former.Chenxu Wang Huifang Yuan Feng Yu Jie Zhang Yangyang Li Wentao Bao Zhimou Wang Ke Lu Jie Yu Ge Bai Gang Wang Banghua Peng Lili Zhang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,1:2

8Insertion/deletion variants within the IGF2BP2 gene identified in reported genome-wide selective sweep analysis reveal a correlation with goat litter size显示文摘Insulin-like growth factor 2 m RNA-binding protein 2(IGF2 BP2,also called IMP2)plays an essential role in the development and maturation of germ cells and embryos and is a candidate gene for goat litter size,based on a previous genomewide selective sweep analysis.In this study,the m RNA expression level of IGF2 BP2 was found to be significantly higher in a single-lamb group than in a multi-lamb group.Insertions/deletions(indels)within the goat IGF2 BP2 gene,including P4-Ins-13 bp and P5-Del-12 bp,were verified in 918 Shaanbei White Cashmere(SBWC)female goats.The minor allelic frequencies(MAFs)of P4-Ins-13 bp and P5-Del-12 bp loci were 0.349 and 0.295,respectively.Analysis using the Chi-square(χ^(2))test showed that the genotype(χ^(2)=14.479,P=0.006)distribution of P4-Ins-13 bp was significantly different between the single-lamb and multi-lamb groups.Correlation analysis demonstrated that P4-Ins-13 bp was significantly associated with goat litter size(P=0.022),and individual goats with the homozygous deletion/deletion(DD)genotype produced more litters than other goats.Therefore,considered as a potential molecular marker significantly related to lambing traits,the P4-Ins-13 bp mutation of the goat IGF2 BP2 gene can be used in goat breeding with practical molecular marker-assisted selection(MAS)to optimize female reproduction and improve economic efficiency in the goat industry.Dongyun XIN Yangyang BAI Yi BI Libang HE Yuxin KANG Chuanying PAN Haijing ZHU Hong CHEN Lei QU Xianyong LAN 2021Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,9:0
9Experimental Characterization and Model Verification of Thermal Conductivity from Mesoporous to Macroporous SiOC Ceramics显示文摘Based on the chemical cross-linking method,this paper uses polydimethylsiloxane with various viscosities of 10 cSt,20 cSt,50 cSt,and 100 cSt to synthesize mesoporous and macroporous SiOC ceramics.Their thermal conductivities are measured by using 3ωmethod with high accuracy.Three typical models for their thermal conductivities,i.e.,series model(SM),maxwell-Eucken 1 model(ME1),and effective medium theory(EMT)model,are utilized to derive the empirical formula through the multi-parameter linear optimization algorithm,which agrees well with the experimental results.The effects of pore size and specific surface area on the overall thermal conductivity of the porous structure are explored.Interestingly,it is found that the thermal conductivities of both gas phase and solid phase inside the porous structure increase with the increasing pore size at the nanometer scale,but the overall thermal conductivity of the porous structure decreases with the increasing pore size.Scanning electron microscopy graphs corroborate that the extension of the heat transfer route and the barrier of more pores between the solid phases together cause the reduction of the gas-solid coupling thermal conductivity of SiOC ceramics with larger pore size.On the contrary,the miniaturization of individual particles through modulating the synthesis parameters can increase the number of small pores in the sample itself to meet the pseudo-lattice vibration conditions,which results in the increment of the gas-solid coupling thermal conductivity and the overall thermal conductivity of the porous structure.These findings would provide meaningful guidance for designing SiOC porous ceramic super-insulation materials with extremely low thermal conductivity.QIU Lin DU Yanbo BAI Yangyang FENG Yanhui ZHANG Xinxin WU Jin WANG Xiaotian XU Caihong 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,2:0
10Fabrication of Intracranial Vascular Nitinol Alloy Stents with Improved Mechanical Property and Endothelialization Function显示文摘Intracranial vascular stenting has been widely used for ischemic stroke.However,there are complication risks with stent implantation,such as poor wall apposition,stent migration,thromboembolism and stent restenosis,due to the mismatched radial force and conformability of the stents.'Therefore,a novel intracranial vascular nitinol stent was fabricated in order to improve mechanical property and endothelialization function.The bending moment of the stents was calculated to be 0.346 N mm,which shows improved conformability.The radial force of the stents evaluated by the flat plate test was0.0112 N/mm,within the range of the commercially available stent force(0.0065-0.0116 N/mm).Furthermore,the TyrIle-Gly-Ser-Arg(YIGSR)peptide derived from laminin was grafted onto the stent surfaces to promote endothelialization on vascular stents evaluated by the proliferation,adhesion and migration of human umbilical vein endothelial cells in vitro.The nitinol stents with improved mechanical property and endothelialization function are expected to reduce the recurrence risk of ischemic stroke after implantation.Yangyang Yan Na Li Feng Guo Anhua Wu Wei Jin Rui Yang Yun Bai Xing Zhang 2022Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,12:0
