| 3 | High-performance Li-ion batteries based on graphene quantum dot wrapped carbon nanotube hybrid anodes显示文摘Since Akira Yoshino first proposed the usage of the carbonaceous materials as an anode of lithium ion batteries(LIBs)in 1985,carbonaceous materials such as graphite and graphene have been widely considered as LIB anodes.Here,we explored the application of novel carbonaceous UB anodes incorporating graphene quantum dots(GQDs).We fabricated a freestanding all-carbon electrode based on a porous carbon nanotube(CNT)sponge via a facile in-situ hydrothermal deposition technique,creating coaxial structure of GQD-coated CNTs(GQD@CNTs)through electrostatic interaction and n-n stacking with tunable loading and functionalization.This hybrid structure combined conductive CNTs with highly active GQDs,in which GQDs with predesigned functional groups provided massive storage sites for Li ions and the 3D CNT frameworks avoided the agglomeration of GQDs,together contributing to a high specific capacity(700 mAh·g^-1 at 100 mA·g^-1 after 100 cycles)and rate performance.Even at a high current density of 1,000 mA·g^-1,the reversible specific capacity remained at 483 mAh g-1 after 350 cycles.In particular,the mechanism study demonstrated the important role of oxygen functional groups of GQDs in promoting the performance of the LIB anodes by controlled grafting of GQDs onto various porous-carbon and metal-foam based structures. | Xuewei Zhao Yizeng Wu Yunsong Wang Huaisheng Wu Yawei Yang Zhipeng Wang Linxiu Dai Yuanyuan Shang Anyuan Cao | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,4: | 7 |

| 6 | Design method with controllable velocity direction at throat for inward-turning inlets显示文摘In the design of a hypersonic inward-turning inlet by applying the traditional basic flowfield, a reflected shock-wave is formed in the isolator due to the continuous reflection of the cowlreflected shock wave in the basic flow-field, which interacts with the boundary layer to produce a considerable influence on the performance of the inlet. Here, a basic flow-field design method that can control the velocity direction at the throat section is developed, and numerical simulations are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of this method. The method presented in this paper can achieve the absorption of the reflected waves at the shoulder of the basic flow-field by adjusting the variation law of the center radius in the basic flow-field, and a smooth transition between the compression surface and the isolator can also be produced. The Mach number and total pressure recovery coefficient of the inlet designed according to this method are 3.00 and 0.657, respectively, at design point(the incoming flow Mach number Ma1= 6.0). | 10 | Improving CNT-Si solar cells by metal chloride-to-oxide transformation显示文摘Transitional metal oxides(TMOs)are important functional materials in silicon-based and thin-film optoelectronics.Here,TMOs areapplied in carbon nanotube(CNT)-Si solar cells by spin-coating solutions of metal chlorides that undergo favorable transformation in ambient conditions.An unconventional change in solar cell behavior is observed after coating two particular chlorides(MoCl,and WCls,respectively),characterized by an initial severe degradation followed by gradual recovery and then well surpassing the original performance.Detailed analysis reveals that the formation of correspondina oxides(MoOa and WO.)enables two primary functions on both CNTs(p-type doping)and Si(inducing inversion layer),leading to significant improvement in open-circuit voltage and fill factor,with power conversion efficiencies up to 13.0%(MoOg)and 13.4%(WOg).Further combining with other chlorides to increase the short-circuit current,ultimate cells efficiencies achieve>16%with over 90%retention after 24 h,which are among the highes stable efficiencies reported for CNT-Si solar cells.The transformation of functional layers as demonstrated here has profoundinfluence on the device characteristics,and represents a potential strategy in low-cost manufacturing of next-generation high efficiency photovoltaics. | Huaisheng Wu Xuewei Zhao Yizeng Wu Qinghuan Ji Linxiu Dai Yuanyuan Shang Anyuan Cao | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,2: | 3 |

| 13 | Analysis of photoluminescence behavior of high-quality single-layer MoS2显示文摘The ability to tailor and enhance photoluminescence (PL) behavior in two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) such as molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is significant for pursuing optoelectronic applications.To achieve this,it has been essential to obtain high-quality single-layer MoS2 and fully explore its intrinsic PL performance.Here,we fabricate single-layer MoS2 by a thermal vapor sulfurization method in which a pre-deposited molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) thin film is sulfurized over a short period (for several minutes) to turn into MoS2.These as-grown MoS2 crystals show quite strong PL,which is about one order of magnitude higher than that of chemical-vapor-deposited MoS2.Temperature- and power-dependent spectroscopy measurements disclose the apparent influence of sulfur (S) vacancies on the PL behavior and the noticeable free-to-bound exciton recombinations in the luminescence process.The fact that PL intensity of the sample in vacuum sharply lowered down relative to in air reveals that the high PL is facilitated by molecular adsorption on S vacancies in air.And multi-channel decay processes coupled with S vacancies are revealed in the time-resolved PL spectroscopy.In our work,single-layer MoS2 with high PL is synthesized and its defect-induced PL features are analyzed,which is of great importance for developing advanced nano-electronics and optoelectronics based on 2D structures. | Lu Xu Liyun Zhao Yunsong Wang Mingchu Zou Qing Zhang Anyuan Cao | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,7: | 2 |
| 14 | Experimental research on solidification structure of alloy 800H by linear electromagnetic stirring显示文摘The solidifi cation structures of alloy 800 H fabricated with and without linear electromagnetic stirring(L-EMS) were investigated. The results show that the solidification structure of the alloy can be obviously affected by the forced convection in melt caused by L-EMS. The average size of equiaxed grains of the alloy with L-EMS decreases from 3.5 mm to 2.3 mm, and the ratio of equiaxed grain increases from 5% to 43% compared with that without L-EMS. The microstructure of the alloy without L-EMS is composed of f ine equiaxed dendrites in the outermost layer and columnar dendrites in other areas, whereas that with L-EMS contains equiaxed dendrites, columnar dendrites and cross dendrites. | 16 | Time serial transcriptome reveals Cyp2c29 as a key gene in hepatocellular carcinoma development显示文摘Objective:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a severely lethal cancer that usually originates from chronic liver injury and inflammation.Although progress on diagnosis and treatment is obvious,the cause of HCC remains unclear.In this study,we sought to determine key genes in HCC development.Methods:To identify key regulators during HCC progression,we performed transcriptome sequencing to obtain time series gene expression data from a mouse model with diethylnitrosamine-induced liver tumors and further verified gene expression and function in vitro and in vivo.Results:Among the differentially expressed genes,Cyp2c29 was continuously downregulated during HCC progression.Overexpression of Cyp2c29 suppressed N F-kB activation and proinflammatory cytokine production by increasing the production o f 14,15-epoxyeicosatrienoic acid in vitro.Furthermore,overexpression of Cyp2c29 in vivo protected against liver inflammation in mouse models of liver injury induced by both acetaminophen and CC14.Two human homologs of mouse Cyp2c29,CYP2C8 and CYP2C9,were found to be downregulated in human HCC progression,and their expression was positively correlated with overall survival in patients with HCC(significance:P=0.046 and 0.0097,respectively).Conclusions:Collectively,through systematic analysis and verification,we determined that C yp2c29 is a novel gene involved in liver injury and inflammation,which may be a potential biomarker for HCC prevention and prognosis determination. | Qi Wang Qin Tang Lijun Zhao Qiong Zhang Yuxin Wu Hui Hu Lanlan Liu Xiang Liu Yanhong Zhu Anyuan Guo Xiangliang Yang | 2020 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,2: | 2 |
