| 12 | The commercial antibiotics with inherent AIE feature: In situ visualization of antibiotic metabolism and specifically differentiation of bacterial species and broad-spectrum therapy显示文摘The research on pharmacology usually focuses on the structure-activity relationships of drugs,such as antibiotics,to enhance their activity,but often ignores their optical properties.However,investigating the photophysical properties of drugs is of great significance because they could be used to in situ visualize their positions and help us to understand their working metabolism.In this work,we identified a class of commercialized antibiotics,such as levofloxacin,norfloxacin,and moxifloxacin(MXF)hydrochloride,featuring the unique aggregation-induced emission(AIE)characteristics.By taking advantage of their AIE feature,antibiotic metabolism in cells could be in situ visualized,which clearly shows that the luminescent aggregates accumulate in the lysosomes.Moreover,after a structure-activity relationship study,we found an ideal site of MXF to be modified with a triphenylphosphonium and an antibiotic derivative MXF-P was prepared,which is able to specifically differentiate bacterial species after only 10 min of treatment.Moreover,MXF-P shows highly effective broad-spectrum antibacterial activity,excellent therapeutic effects and biosafety for S.aureus-infected wound recovery.Thus,this work not only discovers the multifunctionalities of the antibiotics but also provides a feasible strategy to make the commercialized drugs more powerful. | Bingnan Wang Lirong Wang Haozhong Wu Xiaolin Liu Jiamiao Zhu Rong Hu Dan Ding Anjun Qin Ben Zhong Tang | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,5: | 0 |
| 13 | A novel silver-doped nickel oxide hole-selective contact for crystalline silicon heterojunction solar cells显示文摘Based on its band alignment,p-type nickel oxide(NiO_(x))is an excellent candidate material for hole transport layers in crystalline silicon heterojunction solar cells,as it has a smallΔEV and largeΔEC with crystalline silicon.Herein,to overcome the poor hole selectivity of stoichiometric NiO_(x) due to its low carrier concentration and conductivity,silver-doped nickel oxide(NiO_(x):Ag)hole transport layers with high carrier concentrations were prepared by co-sputtering high-purity silver sheets and pure NiO_(x) targets.The improved electrical conductivity of NiO_(x) was attributed to the holes generated by the Ag^(+)substituents for Ni^(2+),and moreover,the introduction of Ag^(+)also increased the amount of Ni^(3+)present,both of which increased the carrier concentration in NiO_(x).Ag^(+)doping also reduced the c-Si/NiO_(x) contact resistivity and improved the hole-selective contact with NiO_(x).Furthermore,the problems of particle clusters and interfacial defects on the surfaces of NiO_(x):Ag films were solved by UV-ozone oxidation and high-temperature annealing,which facilitated separation and transport of carriers at the c-Si/NiO_(x) interface.The constructed c-Si/NiO_(x):Ag solar cell exhibited an increase in open-circuit voltage from 490 to 596 mV and achieved a conversion efficiency of 14.4%. | Junfeng Zhao Xudong Yang Zhongqing Zhang Shengpeng Xie Fangfang Liu Anjun Han Zhengxin Liu Yun Sun Wei Liu | 2024 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2024,18,2: | 0 |
| 14 | In-situ generation of poly(quinolizine)s via catalyst-free polyannulations of activated diyne and pyridines显示文摘The development of new polymerization routes to afford N-heterocyclic polymers is of vital importance and highly desired for various practical applications. Herein, a facile and efficient polyannulation reaction of dual-activated alkyne and pyridines was developed to construct novel N-heterocyclic poly(quinolizine)s. This polymerization can proceed smoothly under catalystfree conditions with 100% atom utilization to furnish poly(quinolizine)s with high molecular weights(up to 34,100) and welldefined structures in acceptable yields. The resulting polymers show good solubility, high thermal stability and strong red emission. | 15 | External mass transfer from/to a single sphere in a nonlinear uniaxial extensional creeping flow显示文摘This work systematically simulates the external mass transfer from/to a spherical drop and solid particle suspended in a nonlinear uniaxial extensional creeping flow.The mass transfer problem is governed by three dimensionless parameters:the viscosity ratio(λ),the Peclet number(Pe),and the nonlinear intensity of the flow(E).The existing mass transfer theory,valid for very large Peclet numbers only,is expanded,by numerical simulations,to include a much larger range of Peclet numbers(1≤Pe≤105).The simulation results show that the dimensionless mass transfer rate,expressed as the Sherwood number(5 h),agrees well with the theoretical results at the convection-dominated regime(Pe>103).Only when E>5/4,the simulated Sh for a solid sphere in the nonlinear uniaxial extensional flow is larger than theoretical results because the theory neglects the effect of the vortex formed outside the particle on the rate of mass transfer.Empirical correlations are proposed to predict the influence of the dimensionless governing parameters(λ,Pe,E)on the Sherwood number(Sh).The maximum deviations of all empirical correlations are less than 15%when compared to the numerical simulated results. | Anjun Liu Jie Chen Moshe Favelukis Meng Guo Meihong Yang Chao Yang Tao Zhang Min Wang Hao-yue Quan | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,1: | 0 |
