| 1 | Export and remineralization of POM in the Southern Ocean and the South China Sea estimated from ^(210)Po/^(210)Pb disequilibria显示文摘Disequilibria between 210Po and 210Pb in the upper water and their potential applications as a proxy of particle export and remineralization were examined in the Southern Ocean (station IV3) and the South China Sea (NS44). 210Po was deficit in surface waters but excessive relative to 210Pb in subsurface waters. Good positive correlation between 210Po and particulate organic carbon (POC) indicated deficits and excess of 210Po resulted from particulate organic matter (POM) export and remineralization respectively, which was also supported by the decreased δ 13C and increased δ 15N downwards as a result of particle remineralization. On the basis of 210Po/210Pb box-model, POC export flux out of the surface waters were 1.2 mmol C·m-2·d-1 and 2.3 mmol C·m-2·d-1 for station NS44 and IV3, respectively. In the subsurface waters, remineralization fluxes of 210Po were 0.062 Bq·m-2·d-1 and 0.566 Bq·m-2·d-1 for station NS44 and IV3 along with the recycle efficiency of 52±26% and 119±52%, respectively. Remineralized fluxes of POM derived from 210Po and exported POC were 0.6 mmol C·m-2·d-1 and 2.7 mmol C·m-2·d-1 for NS44 and IV3. By using the in-situ TPO, XRD, and IR techniques to study the mechanism of Zn_2SiO_4 formation under operating conditions, it was found that the coexistence of acid and hydrothermal conditions could accelerate the formation of Zn_2SiO_4. | 7 | Purification of 3-hydroxypropionitrile by wiped molecular distillation显示文摘A new separation method, wiped molecular distillation (WMD), was applied and experimental work was carried out to study the effect of operation parameters such as distillation temperature, pressure, feed flow rate, wiped speed and the separation stages on purifying the raw material containing 95% 3-hydroxypropionitrile (HPN). It was an excellent result that the mass concentration of HPN in the final product can be more than 99.5% under the optimistic operation conditions. The high purity cannot be achieved with normal separating method includ- ing rectification and extraction in practice. As for the raw material, a function of HPN purity in distillate was plotted with distillation temperature and pressure in experiment ranges. According to the experiment data obtained and the theory in molecular distillation, the distillation speed of HPN and separation efficiency were computed. | 8 | Effect of Sini San Freeze-dried powder on sleep-waking cycle in insomnia rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of the Sini San at different doses on each sleeping state[slow-wave sleep 1(SWS1), slow-wave sleep 2(SWS2), rapid-eye-movement(REM), wakefulness(W)] in insomnia rats and to identify its mode of ac-tion for improving sleep.METHODS: The insomnia rats were randomly divided into a high-, medium- or low-dose group of Sini San(equal to crude drug 8.8, 4.4, or 2.2 g/kg, respectively) for seven consecutive days.RESULTS: Compared with pre-administration,SWS2 was significantly increased after administration of the low dose. Compared with pre-administration, W was significantly decreased and SWS1,SWS2, and the total sleeping time(TST) were markedly increased after administration of the medium dose. Compared with pre-administration, W was significantly decreased and SWS1, SWS2, rapid-eye-movement sleep, and TST were significantly longer after administration of the high dose. | 9 | Synthesis of molybdenum disulfide/reduced graphene oxide composites for effective removal of Pb(Ⅱ) from aqueous solutions显示文摘In this work,a facile method was adopted to synthesize molybdenum disulfide/reduced graphene oxide(MoS_2/rGO) composites through an L-cysteine-assisted hydrothermal technique.The as-prepared MoS_2/rGO composites were firstly applied as adsorbents for efficient elimination of Pb(Ⅱ) ions.Batch adsorption experiments showed that the adsorption of Pb(Ⅱ) on MoS_2/rGO followed pseudo-second-order kinetic model well.The adsorption of Pb(Ⅱ) was intensely pH-dependent,ionic strength-dependent at pH < 9.0 and ionic strength-independent at pH > 9.0.The presence of humic acid(HA) enhanced Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption obviously.The MoS_2/rGO composites exhibited excellent adsorption capacity of384.16 mg g ~1 at pH 5.0 and T= 298.15 K,which was superior to MoS_2(279.93 mg g ~1) and many other adsorbents.The thermodynamic parameters suggested that the adsorption process of Pb(Ⅱ) on MoS_2/rGO composites was spontaneous(AG~θ < 0) and endothermic(AH~θ > 0).The interaction of Pb(Ⅱ) and MoS_2/rGO was mainly dominated by electrostatic attraction and surface complexation between Pb(Ⅱ) and oxygen-containing functional groups of MoS_2/rGO.This work highlighted the application of MoS_2/rGO as novel and promising materials in the efficient elimination of Pb(Ⅱ) from contaminated water and industrial effluents in environmental pollution management. | Yi Du Jian Wang Yidong Zou Wen Yao Jing Hou Liangshu Xia Anguo Peng Ahmed Alsaedi Tasawar Hayat Xiangke Wang | 2017 | Science Bulletin2017,62,13: | 4 |

| 11 | Sedative and hypnotic effect of freeze-dried paeoniflorin and Sini San freeze-dried powder in pentobarbital sodium-induced mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the sedative and hypnotic activity of paeoniflorin and freeze-dried Sini San powder on mice and provide a reliable method for determining the pharmacodynamic material basis of Sini San.METHODS: Male adult mice weighing 20-22 g were used in this study. Three experiments were carried out. Synergism with pentobarbital was used as an index for hypnotic effect. Loss of the righting reflex was used to determine the start of sleep.Sleep latency and sleeping time were recorded in each experiment.RESULTS: The coefficient of variation of the suprathreshold dose(55 mg/kg) was significantly lower than that of the threshold dose. The sleep latency of mice was significantly decreased, and the sleeping time of mice was significantly prolonged.
