| 1 | Regularity of sediment transport and sedimentation during floods in the lower Yellow River,China显示文摘The flood season is the main period of flow,sediment transport,and sedimentation in the lower Yellow River(LYR).Within the flood season,most of the flow,sediment transport,and sedimentation occurs during flood events.Because of the importance of floods in forming riverbeds in the LYR,the regularity of sediment transport and sedimentation during floods in the LYR was studied.Measured daily discharge and sediment transport rate data for the LYR from 1960 to 2006 were used.A total of 299 floods were selected;these floods had a complete evolution of the flood process from the Xiaolangdi to the Lijin hydrological stations.For five hydrological stations(Xiaolangdi,Huayuankou,Gaocun,Aishan,and Lijin),a correlation was first established for floods of different magnitudes between the average sediment transport rate at a given station and the average sediment concentration at the closest upstream station.The results showed that the sediment transport rate at the downstream station was strongly correlated with the inflow(upstream station)sediment concentration during a flood event.A relation then was established between sedimentation in the LYR and the average sediment concentration at the Xiaolangdi station during a flood event.From this relation,the critical sediment concentrations were obtained for absolute erosion,sedimentation equilibrium,and absolute deposition during floods of different magnitudes in the LYR.The results of the current study contribute to a better understanding of the mechanisms of sediment transport and the regularity of sedimentation in the LYR during floods,and provide technical support to guide the joint operation of reservoirs and the regulation of the LYR. | Qingchao Guo Zhao Zheng Liemin Huang Anjun Deng | 2020 | International Journal of Sediment Research2020,35,1: | 6 |

| 3 | The interventional effect of Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua polysaccharide on atherosclerosis in mice of different sexes显示文摘In the present study,we investigated the intervention effects of a purified Polygonatum cyrtonema polysaccharide(PCP)on high-fat diet(HFD)-induced atherosclerosis in male and female LDLr-/-mice.Results showed that HFD caused severe dyslipidemia,atherosclerotic lesions,oxidative damages and inflammation in male and female mice,and these effects seemed to be more pronounced in males than in females.However,the above variations could be dose-dependently reversed by PCP treatment,and the intervention effects on males were greater than those on females.Nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB),mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPKs)and protein kinase B(Akt)are 3 pivotal signaling pathways mediating the development of atherosclerosis.Consistently,PCP was also found to significantly decrease the phosphorylation of p65,p38,extracellular-regulated kinase 1/2(ERK1/2)and Akt,and increase the protein expression of inhibitor of NF-κB(IκB)in the aortas of male and female mice induced by HFD.Taken together,these findings indicated that PCP could be effective for the prevention of atherosclerosis,and the intervention effect of PCP on male mice was more obvious than that of female mice. | Anjun Guo Xueying Li Lihua Pan Qiangming Li Jianping Luo Xueqiang Zha | 2024 | Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,1: | 0 |
| 4 | The internal circulations on internal mass transfer rate of a single drop in nonlinear uniaxial extensional flow显示文摘The internal flow of a droplet in the nonlinear extensional flow field will exhibit more than two internal circulations with the variation of nonlinear intensity(E).In this paper,the effect of positions and sizes of internal circulations on internal mass transfer rate of a single spherical droplet in a nonlinear extensional flow field is studied and compared with that in a linear extensional flow field.The simulation results show that when E≥0,there are two symmetrical internal circulations in the droplet,which is the same with that in a linear extensional flow.The limit value of mass transfer rate Sh is 15,which is equal to that in a linear extensional flow,no matter how large E is.When E≤-3/7,the number of internal flow circulation of a droplet increase to four and the transfer rate Sh increases.When E=-1,the maximum internal transfer rate Sh equals 30 which is twice of that in a linear extensional flow.The generation of new flow circulations in droplets and the circulation positions will enhance mass transfer when E≤-3/7,which provides a new idea for enhancing the internal mass transfer rate of droplets. | Anjun Liu Jie Chen Meng Guo Chengmin Chen Meihong Yang Chao Yang | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,59,7: | 0 |
| 5 | External mass transfer from/to a single sphere in a nonlinear uniaxial extensional creeping flow显示文摘This work systematically simulates the external mass transfer from/to a spherical drop and solid particle suspended in a nonlinear uniaxial extensional creeping flow.The mass transfer problem is governed by three dimensionless parameters:the viscosity ratio(λ),the Peclet number(Pe),and the nonlinear intensity of the flow(E).The existing mass transfer theory,valid for very large Peclet numbers only,is expanded,by numerical simulations,to include a much larger range of Peclet numbers(1≤Pe≤105).The simulation results show that the dimensionless mass transfer rate,expressed as the Sherwood number(5 h),agrees well with the theoretical results at the convection-dominated regime(Pe>103).Only when E>5/4,the simulated Sh for a solid sphere in the nonlinear uniaxial extensional flow is larger than theoretical results because the theory neglects the effect of the vortex formed outside the particle on the rate of mass transfer.Empirical correlations are proposed to predict the influence of the dimensionless governing parameters(λ,Pe,E)on the Sherwood number(Sh).The maximum deviations of all empirical correlations are less than 15%when compared to the numerical simulated results. | Anjun Liu Jie Chen Moshe Favelukis Meng Guo Meihong Yang Chao Yang Tao Zhang Min Wang Hao-yue Quan | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,1: | 0 |
| 6 | A Novel Video Data-Source Authentication Model Based on Digital Watermarking and MAC in Multicast显示文摘A novel video data authentication model based on digital video watermarking and MAC (message authentication code) in multicast protocol is proposed in this paper. The digital watermarking which composes of the MAC of the significant video content, the key and instant authentication data is embedded into the insignificant video component by the MLUT (modified look-up table) video watermarking technology. We explain a method that does not require storage of each data packet for a time, thus making receiver not vulnerable to DOS (denial of service) attack. So the video packets can be authenticated instantly without large volume buffer in the receivers. TESLA(timed efficient stream loss-tolerant authentication) does not explain how to select the suitable value for d, which is an important parameter in multicast source authentication. So we give a method to calculate the key disclosure delay (number of intervals).
