| 1 | Effect of ZSM-5 zeolite morphology on the catalytic performance of the alkylation of toluene with methanol显示文摘A series of ZSM-5 zeolites, with the morphologies of sphere, sphere with cubic particles on the surface, and cubic particles, were synthesized by hydrothermal method using n-butylamine as the template, assisted by the addition of NaCl and crystal seed. X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM), X-ray fluorescence(XRF) and temperature-programmed desorption of ammonia(NH3-TPD) were used to characterize these samples. The samples were tested with toluene methylation reaction. The modified sample composed of spherical particles with 3 μm crystal particles on the surface had a para-xylene selectivity of 95% and maintained 79% of the initial conversion after running the reaction for 50 h. | 2 | Feature Selection Method Based on Class Discriminative Degree for Intelligent Medical Diagnosis显示文摘By using efficient and timely medical diagnostic decision making,clinicians can positively impact the quality and cost of medical care.However,the high similarity of clinical manifestations between diseases and the limitation of clinicians’knowledge both bring much difficulty to decision making in diagnosis.Therefore,building a decision support system that can assist medical staff in diagnosing and treating diseases has lately received growing attentions in the medical domain.In this paper,we employ a multi-label classification framework to classify the Chinese electronic medical records to establish corresponding relation between the medical records and disease categories,and compare this method with the traditional medical expert system to verify the performance.To select the best subset of patient features,we propose a feature selection method based on the composition and distribution of symptoms in electronic medical records and compare it with the traditional feature selection methods such as chi-square test.We evaluate the feature selection methods and diagnostic models from two aspects,false negative rate(FNR)and accuracy.Extensive experiments have conducted on a real-world Chinese electronic medical record database.The evaluation results demonstrate that our proposed feature selection method can improve the accuracy and reduce the FNR compare to the traditional feature selection methods,and the multi-label classification framework have better accuracy and lower FNR than the traditional expert system. | Shengqun Fang Zhiping Cai Wencheng Sun Anfeng Liu Fang Liu Zhiyao Liang Guoyan Wang | 2018 | Computers, Materials & Continua2018,,6: | 5 |

| 12 | Purification and biochemical characterization of manganesecontaining superoxide dismutase from deep-sea thermophile Geobacillus sp. EPT3显示文摘Thermostable SOD is a promising enzyme in biotechnological applications. In the present study, thermophile Geobacillus sp. EPT3 was isolated from a deep-sea hydrothermal field in the East Pacific. A thermostable superoxide dismutase(SOD) from this strain was purified to homogeneity by steps of fractional ammonium sulfate precipitation, DEAE-Sepharose chromatography, and Phenyl-Sepharose chromatography. SOD was purified 13.4 fold to homogeneity with a specific activity of 3 354 U/mg and 11.1% recovery. SOD from Geobacillus sp. EPT3 was of the Mn-SOD type, judged by the insensitivity of the enzyme to both KCN and H2O2. SOD was determined to be a homodimer with monomeric molecular mass of 26.0 k Da. It had high thermostability at 50°C and 60°C. At tested conditions, SOD was relatively stable in the presence of some inhibitors and denaturants, such as β-mercaptoethanol(β-ME), dithiothreitol(DTT), phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride(PMSF), urea, and guanidine hydrochloride. Geobacillus sp. EPT3 SOD showed striking stability across a wide p H range from 5.0 to 11.0. | 14 | Substitution of His260 residue alters the thermostability of Pseudoalteromonas carrageenovora arylsulfatase显示文摘This study aimed to improve the thermostability of arylsulfatase from Pseudoalteromonas carrageenovora. A library of P. carrageenovora arylsulfatase mutants was constructed by introducing random mutagenesis using error-prone PCR. After screening, two mutants of H260L and D84A/H260L showed enhanced thermal stability than the wild-type predecessor (WT). Site-directed mutagenesis demonstrated that only amino acid residue at Position 260 plays an important role in the thermostability of P. carrageenovora arylsulfatase. Thermal inactivation analysis showed that the half-life (t1/2) values at 55°C for H260L, H260I, H260Q, H260F and H260R were 40.6, 48.4, 30.9, 29.1 and 34.5 min, respectively, while that of WT was 9.1 min.
