| 1 | Autologous CD34^+ and CD133^+ stem cells transplantation in patients with end stage liver disease显示文摘AIM:To assess the utility of an autologous CD34 + and CD133 + stem cells infusion as a possible therapeutic modality in patients with end-stage liver diseases.METHODS:One hundred and forty patients with endstage liver diseases were randomized into two groups.Group 1,comprising 90 patients,received granulocyte colony stimulating factor for five days followed by autologous CD34 + and CD133 + stem cell infusion in the portal vein.Group 2,comprising 50 patients,received regular liver treatment only and served as a control group.RESULTS:Near normalization of liver enzymes and improvement in synthetic function were observed in 54.5% of the group 1 patients;13.6% of the patients showed stable states in the infused group.None of the patients in the control group showed improvement.No adverse effects were noted.CONCLUSION:Our data showed that a CD34 + and CD133 + stem cells infusion can be used as supportive treatment for end-stage liver disease with satisfactory tolerability. | Hosny Salama Abdel-Rahman N Zekri Abeer A Bahnassy Eman Medhat Hanan A Halim Ola S Ahmed Ghada Mohamed Sheren A Al Alim Ghada M Sherif | 2010 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2010，16，42： | 16 |
| 2 | Beneficiation of the gold bearing ore by gravity and flotation显示文摘Gold concentration usually consists of gravity separation, flotation, cyanidation, or the combination of these processes. The choice among these processes depends on the mineralogical characterization and gold content of the ore. Recently, the recovery of gold using gravity methods has gained attention because of low cost and environmentally friendly operations. In this study, gold pre-concentrates were produced by the stepwise gravity separation and flotation techniques. The Knelson concentrator and conventional flotation were employed for the recovery of gold. Gold bearing ore samples were taken from Gümüshane Region, northern east part of Turkey. As a result of stepwise Knelson concentration experiments, a gold concentrate assaying around 620 g/t is produced with 41.4wt% recovery. On the other hand, a gold concentrate about 82 g/t is obtained with 89.9wt% recovery from a gold ore assaying 6 g/t Au by direct flotation. | Alim Gül Olga Kangal Ayhan A. | 3 | Physicochemical and Sensory Properties of japonica Rice Varied with Production Areas in China显示文摘Northeast of China and Jiangsu Province are major production areas of japonica rice in China.Rice from northeast of China is well-known for its good-eating and appearance quality,and that from Jiangsu Province is viewed as inferior.However,little is known concerning the difference in physicochemical and sensory properties of rice between the major two production areas.Analysis of 16 commercial rice samples showed marked differences in physicochemical properties,including chalky grain rate,contents of amylose and protein and pasting properties between the two main areas.Northeastern rice contained more shortchain amylopectin as compared with Jiangsu rice.However,Jiangsu rice is comparable to northeastern rice in terms of sensory quality including overall acceptability and textural properties of springiness,stickiness and hardness as evaluated by trained panel.Our results indicated the limitation of conventional index of physicochemical properties,and suggested the necessity of identification of new factors controlling rice sensory property.In addition,the taste analyzer from Japan demonstrates limitation in distinguishing the differences between northeastern and Jiangsu rice,and therefore needs localization to fit China. | YANG Xiao-yu LIN Zhao-miao LIU Zheng-hui Md A Alim BI Jun-guo LI Gang-hua WANG Qiang-sheng WANG Shao-hua DING Yan-feng | 2013 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2013，12，10： | 8 |

| 5 | Glutamate triggers the expression of functional ionotropic and metabotropic glutamate receptors in mast cells显示文摘Mast cells are emerging as players in the communication between peripheral nerve endings and cells of the immune system.However,it is not clear the mechanism by which mast cells communicate with peripheral nerves.We previously found that mast cells located within healing tendons can express glutamate receptors,raising the possibility that mast cells may be sensitive to glutamate signaling.To evaluate this hypothesis,we stimulated primary mast cells with glutamate and showed that glutamate induced the profound upregulation of a panel of glutamate receptors of both the ionotropic type(NMDAR1,NMDAR2A,and NMDAR2B)and the metabotropic type(mGluR2 and mGluR7)at both the mRNA and protein levels.The binding of glutamate to glutamate receptors on the mast cell surface was confirmed.Further,glutamate had extensive effects on gene expression in the mast cells,including the upregulation of proinflammatory components such as IL-6 and CCL2.Glutamate also induced the upregulation of transcription factors,including Egr2,Egr3 and,in particular,FosB.The extensive induction of FosB was confirmed by immunofluorescence assessment.Glutamate receptor antagonists abrogated the responses of the mast cells to glutamate,supporting the supposition of a functional glutamate–glutamate receptor axis in mast cells.Finally,we provide in vivo evidence supporting a functional glutamate–glutamate receptor axis in the mast cells of injured tendons.Together,these findings establish glutamate as an effector of mast cell function,thereby introducing a novel principle for how cells in the immune system can communicate with nerve cells. | Md Abdul Alim Mirjana Grujic Paul W.Ackerman Per Kristiansson Pernilla Eliasson Magnus Peterson Gunnar Pejler | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021，18，10： | 2 |
| 6 | MLK4 has negative effect on TLR4 signaling显示文摘The stimulation of Toll-like receptors (TLRs) on macrophages triggers production of proinflammatory cytokines such as tumor-necrosisfactor-a (TNF-a). The TNF production is mediated by a series of signaling events and subsequent transcriptional andpost-transcriptional activation of the TNF gene. Termination of TLR-mediated cellular signaling is also important for a properimmunoresponse, since sustained cytokine expression can result in immune disorders. Here we identified that mixed-lineage kinase(MLK) 4 is a TLR4-interacting protein. Unlike previously characterized MLK group members, MLK4 cannot act as a mitogen-activatedprotein kinase kinase kinase (MAP3K) to mediate c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), p38 or extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK)activation. Rather, MLK4 appears to be able to inhibit lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced activation of the JNK or ERK pathways, butdoes not have effect on LPS-induced p38 or NF-kB activation. The LPS-induced TNF production in MLK4 knockdown andoverexpression cells were also increased and reduced, respectively.
