1Heavy metals in maternal and cord blood in Beijing and their efficiency of placental transfer显示文摘This study aimed to determine the effect of exposure to heavy metals in pregnant women in Beijing, China. We also evaluated the association of these heavy metals with birth weight and length of newborns. We measured the levels of 10 heavy metals,including lead(Pb), titanium(Ti), manganese(Mn), nickel(Ni), cadmium(Cd), chromium(Cr), antimony(Sb), stannum(Sn), vanadium(V), and arsenic(As), in 156 maternal and cord blood pairs. An inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry method was used for measurement. Pb, As, Ti, Mn, and Sb showed high detection rates(> 50%) in both maternal and cord blood. Fourteen(9%) mothers had blood Pb levels greater than the United States Center for Disease Control allowable threshold limit for children(50 μg/L).In prenatal exposure to these heavy metals, there was no significant association between any heavy metal and birth weight/length. Moreover, we estimated the placental transfer efficiency of each heavy metal, and the median placental transfer efficiency ranged from 49.6%(Ni) to 194%(Mn)(except for Cd and Sn). The level and detection rate of Cd in maternal blood were much higher than that in cord blood, which suggested that Cd had difficulty in passing the placental barrier. 2Diagnosis related group grouping study of senile cataract patients based on E-CHAID algorithm显示文摘AIM: To figure out the contributed factors of the hospitalization expenses of senile cataract patients(HECP) and build up an area-specified senile cataract diagnosis related group(DRG) of Shanghai thereby formulating the reference range of HECP and providing scientific basis for the fair use and supervision of the health care insurance fund.METHODS: The data was collected from the first page of the medical records of 22 097 hospitalized patients from tertiary hospitals in Shanghai from 2010 to 2012 whose major diagnosis were senile cataract. Firstly, we analyzed the influence factors of HECP using univariate and multivariate analysis. DRG grouping was conducted according to the exhaustive Chi-squared automatic interaction detector(E-CHAID) model, using HECP as target variable. Finally we evaluated the grouping results using non-parametric test such as Kruskal-Wallis H test, RIV, CV, etc.RESULTS: The 6 DRGs were established as well as criterion of HECP, using age, sex, type of surgery and whether complications/comorbidities occurred as the key variables of classification node of senile cataract cases.CONCLUSION: The grouping of senile cataract cases based on E-CHAID algorithm is reasonable. 3Sulfoalkyl ether β-cyclodextrin derivatives synthesized by a single step method as pharmaceutical biomaterials显示文摘We report a simple 'one pot' single step method to synthesize sulfoalkyl ether β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) derivatives in aqueous solution, which avoids the limitations associated with commonly used organic synthesis of such derivatives including multi-step reactions, use of expensive, toxic, and often environmentally hazardous organic solvents and/or reagents. Using this method, we obtained sulfopropyl and sulfobutyl ethyl β-CDs. We characterized these two derivatives and evaluated their ability to enhance solubility of fluconazole, a commonly used antifungal drug with poor water solubility. Experimental results indicate that these derivatives are structurally analogous to some of the commercially available β-CD derivatives. More importantly, when they formed supramolecular inclusion complexes with fluconazole, they demonstrated similar, if not better, capacity to enhance fluconazole solubility compared with commercially available β-CD derivatives, suggesting that the simple 'one pot' single step synthesis may provide an effective alternative approach to produce large quantity of β-CD derivatives as pharmaceutical biomaterials for medicinal applications.SONG AiJing WANG JianHua LIU ChunDong DENG LinHong 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,18:4
4Research and application of flood detention modeling for ponds and small reservoirs based on remote sensing data显示文摘This paper proposes a method of small reservoir flood detention modeling that utilizes data from the American land resources satellite Landsat TM/ETM+. Precipitation and potential evapotranspiration are taken as the control conditions in this method on the basis of basin terrain classification. The objective of this method is to solve the question of a small-scale water conservancy project’s influence on flood forecasting precision, which can be used in the basin with multitudinous small reservoirs in the upstream region and can help estimate non-runoff data for small reservoir runoff. Taking the 20060826 flood as an example, the flood detention quantity of 19 small reservoirs is modeled. The results show that the absolute error of the total flood detention quantity is 0.2×10 4 m 3 , and the relative error is 0.12%. The flood detention quantity of small reservoirs in the entire basin is then modeled using this method, and the primary flood forecasting model is adjusted. 5Evidence on the causes of the rising levels of COD_(Mn) along the middle route of the South-to-North Diversion Project in China:The role of algal dissolved organic matter显示文摘As the biggest inter-basin water transfer scheme in the world,the South-to-North Water Diversion Project(SNWD) was designed to alleviate the water crisis in North China.The main channel of the middle route of the SNWD is of great concern in terms of the drinking water quality.In this study,we tested the hypothesis that the dissolved organic matter(DOM) derived from the planktonic algae causes the rising levels of COD_(Mn) along the middle route by monitoring data on water quality(2015-2019,monthly resolution).The results showed that algal density in the main channel increased along the channel and was significantly correlated with COD_(Mn)(p <0.01).Five fluorescent components of DOM,including tyrosine-like(14.85%),tryptophan-like(22.48%),microbial byproduct-like(26.34%),fulvic acid-like(11.41%),and humic acid-like(24.92%) components,were detected.The level of tyrosine-like components increased along the channel and was significantly correlated with algal density(p<0.01),indicating that algae significantly changed the level of DOM in the channel.Algal decomposition and metabolism were found to be the main mechanisms that drive the changes in COD_(Mn).Therefore,controlling algal density would be an important measure to prevent further increase in CODMn and for the guarantee of excellent water quality.Chao Wang Hong Zhang Pei Lei Xiaokang Xin Aijing Zhang Wei Yin 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,3:4

7Rumination recognition method of dairy cows based on the change of noseband pressure显示文摘Rumination is closely related to ruminant’s health and welfare,so it is very important to monitor rumination.Rumination monitoring equipment based on chewing and swallowing audio is easy to be affected by ambient noise,equipment based on acceleration sensor is not easy to monitor number of cuds and other information,equipment based on video monitoring has high cost and is easy to be affected by weather and other cows,while equipment based on chewing pressure can accurately record the chewing pressure of dairy cows,and use related processing technology to obtain the number of cuds and other information.In the related research,the peak value and interval of masticatory pressure peak in time domain were used to identify rumination.In view of the problem that the standard of pressure peak was not well defined due to the different head size and masticatory strength of different age and different breed cows,this paper proposed a method to identify the number of rumination,duration of rumination and number of cuds of cows by using standard deviation and noseband pressure signal frequency spectrum.The accurate and stable frequency spectrum range of rumination noseband pressure signal was obtained by frequency spectrum analysis,and the interference of feeding noseband pressure signal to rumination noseband pressure signal was eliminated by using standard deviation.Compared with the direct observation,the results showed that the recognition accuracy of the method proposed in this paper were 100%,94.2%and 94.45%for the number of rumination,duration of rumination and number of cuds respectively,and the average absolute errors were 0,2.0029%and 2.5623%respectively,which showed that the method can accurately identify the rumination information of dairy cows.Weizheng Shen Aijing Zhang Yu Zhang Xiaoli Wei Jian Sun 2020Information Processing in Agriculture2020,7,4:3
8Detection and tracking of pigs in natural environments based on video analysis显示文摘Detection and tracking of pigs are important for analyzing pig behavior using computer vision.However,in natural environments,illumination changes,complex scenes,adhesion,occlusion,and individual identification from multiple objects are challenges for detection and tracking.This paper provided an anti-interference algorithm for pig detection and tracking based on video analysis.Firstly,pigs were recognized in natural environment based on color information,and noises were removed based on the analysis of connected regions in the binary images.Secondly,multiple pigs were separated by contours and edges.Thirdly,pigs were tracked based on a set of association rules with constraint items(DT-ACR).When DT-ACR fails,targets that are not lost were tracked continuously,while lost targets were retrieved in the nearby location,which effectively increased the duration of tracking.Experiments showed that the algorithm was able to track each individual pig in the following conditions:no-light scenes,sun glint scenes,adhesion scenes and occlusion scenes.The overall tracking accuracy reached up to 87.32%(83.85%for serious adhesion,87.4% for occlusion,82.4% for strong light,82.17% for no light and dark,96.58%for 2 pigs,88.33%for 3 pigs and 77.63 for 4 pigs).A pig activity analysis study based on the pig detection and tracking algorithm was carried out,and the results showed that the proposed method was able to track pigs for a long period of time and extract the values that reflected pigs’movements.Deqin Xiao Aijing Feng Jian Liu 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,4:2
9Regulating the Function of Nanocomposite Made from Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose with Bacterial Cellulose Nanocrystal显示文摘Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose(HPMC)-based hybrid nanocomposites reinforced with bacterial cellulose nanocrystals(BCNC) were prepared and characterized.The HPMC nanocomposites exhibited good thermal stability,with a thermogravimetric peak temperature of around 346℃.The addition of BCNC did not significantly affect the thermal degradation temperature or improve the transparency of HPMC nanocomposites.However,the addition of BCNC favorably affected the light scattering properties of the nanocomposites and enhanced mechanical properties such as tensile stress and Young's modulus from 65 MPa and 1.5 GPa up to 139 MPa and 3.2 GPa,respectively.The oxygen permeability of the HPMC nanocomposites also increased with increase in the amount of BCNC added.AiJing Zhou YangYang Peng ShiYu Fu Hao Liu 2016Paper And Biomaterials2016,1,2:2
10Enzymatic biosynthesis of benzylisoquinoline alkaloid glycosides via promiscuous glycosyltransferases from Carthamus tinctorius显示文摘Enzymatic glycosylation catalyzed by glycosyltransferases (GTs) has great potential in creating diverse novel and bioactive glycosides. Herein, three new GTs (UGT84 A33, UGT71 AE1 and UGT90 A14) from Carthamus tinctorius exhibited robust catalytic promiscuity to benzylisoquinoline alkaloids, and were used as enzymatic tools in glycosylation of bioactive benzylisoquinoline alkaloids. Seven novel benzylisoquinoline alkaloids O-glycosides were synthesized with high efficiency.
