1The Association of Maternal Body Composition and Dietary Intake with the Risk of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus during the Second Trimester in a Cohort of Chinese Pregnant Women显示文摘Objective To investigate the association of maternal body composition and dietary intake with the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM). Methods A total 154 GDM subjects and 981 controls were enrolled in a prospective cohort study in 11 hospitals from May 20, 2012 to December 31, 2013. Bioelectrical impedance analysis and dietary surveys were used to determine body composition and to evaluate the intake of nutrients in subjects at 21-24 weeks' gestation(WG). Logistic regression analysis was applied to explore the relationships of maternal body composition and dietary intake with the risk of GDM morbidity. Results Age, pre-pregnant body weight(BW), and body mass index(BMI) were associated with increased risk of GDM. Fat mass(FM), fat mass percentage(FMP), extracellular water(ECW), BMI, BW, energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrates at 21-24 WG were associated with an increased risk of GDM. In contrast, fat free mass(FFM), muscular mass(MM), and intracellular water(ICW) were associated with a decreased risk of GDM. 4Correlation of An Ultrasonic Scoring System and Intraoperative Blood Loss in Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disorders: A Retrospective Cohort Study显示文摘Objective This study aims to investigate the correlation of an ultrasonic scoring system with intraoperative blood loss(IBL) in placenta accreta spectrum(PAS) disorders.Methods A retrospective cohort study was conducted between January 2015 and November 2019.Clinical data for patients with PAS have been obtained from medical records. Generalized additive models were used to explore the nonlinear relationships between ultrasonic scores and IBL. Logistic regressions were used to determine the differences in the risk of IBL ≥ 1,500 m L among groups with different ultrasonic scores.Results A total of 332 patients participated in the analysis. Generalized additive models showed a significant positive correlation between score and blood loss. The amount of IBL was increased due to the rise in the ultrasonic score. All cases were divided into three groups according to the scores(low score group: ≤ 6 points, n = 147;median score group: 7-9 points, n = 126;and high score group: ≥ 10 points, n = 59). 5Composite solid electrolyte of Na3PS4-PEO for all-solid-state SnS2/Na batteries with excellent interfacial compatibility between electrolyte and Na metal显示文摘High ionic conductivity and superior interfacial stability of solid electrolytes at the electrodes are crucial factors for high-performance all-solid-state sodium batteries. Herein, a composite solid electrolyte Na3PS4-polyethylene oxide is synthesized by the solution-phase reaction method with an improved ionic conductivity up to 9.4 × 10-5 S/cm at room temperature. Moreover, polyethylene oxide polymer layer is wrapped homogeneously on the surface of Na3PS4 particles, which could effectively avoid the direct contact between Na3PS4 electrolyte and sodium metal, thus alleviate their side reactions. 8Nrf2 epigenetic derepression induced by running exercise protects against osteoporosis显示文摘Osteoporosis(OP)is a common skeletal disease involving low bone mineral density(BMD)that often leads to fragility fracture,and its development is affected by multiple cellular pathologies and associated with marked epigenetic alterations of osteogenic genes.Proper physical exercise is beneficial for bone health and OP and reportedly possesses epigenetic modulating capacities;however,whether the protective effects of exercise on OP involve epigenetic mechanisms is unclear.Here,we report that epigenetic derepression of nuclear factor erythroid derived 2-related factor-2(Nrf2),a master regulator of oxidative stress critically involved in the pathogenesis of OP,mediates the significant osteoprotective effects of running exercise(RE)in a mouse model of OP induced by ovariectomy.We showed that Nrf2 gene knockout(Nfe2l2^(−/−))ovariectomized mice displayed a worse BMD reduction than the controls,identifying Nrf2 as a critical antiosteoporotic factor.Further,femoral Nrf2 was markedly repressed with concomitant DNA methyltransferase(Dnmt)1/Dnmt3a/Dnmt3b elevations and Nrf2 promoter hypermethylation in both patients with OP and ovariectomized mice.However,daily 1-h treadmill RE significantly corrected epigenetic alterations,recovered Nrf2 loss and improved the femur bone mass and trabecular microstructure.Consistently,RE also normalized the adverse expression of major osteogenic factors,including osteoblast/osteoclast markers,Nrf2 downstream antioxidant enzymes and proinflammatory cytokines.More importantly,the RE-conferred osteoprotective effects observed in the wild-type control mice were largely abolished in the Nfe2l2^(−/−)mice.Thus,Nrf2 repression due to aberrant Dnmt elevation and subsequent Nrf2 promoter hypermethylation is likely an important epigenetic feature of the pathogenesis of OP,and Nrf2 derepression is essential for the antiosteoporotic effects of RE.Xingren Chen Xiaobo Zhu Ai Wei Fang Chen Qi Gao Ke Lu Qing Jiang Wangsen Cao 2021Bone Research2021,9,2:6

10Optimal Waist Circumference Cut-off values for Identifying Metabolic Risk Factors in Middle-aged and Elderly Subjects in Shandong Province of China显示文摘Objective To study the optimal waist circumference(WC) cut-off values for identifying metabolic risk factors in middle-aged and elderly subjects in Shandong Province of China. Methods A total of 2 873 men and 5 559 women were included in this cross-sectional study. Metabolic syndrome(MetS) was diagnosed according to the definition of Chinese Diabetes Society in 2004. The relation between WC and MetS was analyzed by multivariate logistic regression analysis. The optimal WC cut-off values were identified using the area under the ROC curve and the different diagnostic criteria for central obesity were compared. Results The WC was the risk factor for MetS independent of BMI, blood glucose, blood lipid, and blood pressure. The optimal WC cut-off value was 83.8 cm and 91.1 cm for identifying MetS in women and men, respectively. Compared with 80 cm and 85 cm for women and men, 85 cm and 90 cm had a higher Youden index for identifying all metabolic risk factors and MetS in women and men. 14Infection with severe fever with thrombocytopenia virus in healthy population:a cohort study in a high endemic region,China显示文摘Background: Severe fever with thrombocytopenia (SFTS) caused by SFTS virus (SFTSV) was a tick-borne hemorrhagic fever that posed significant threat to human health in Eastern Asia. The study was designed to measure the seroprevalence of SFTSV antibody in healthy population residing in a high endemic region.Methods: A cohort study was performed on healthy residents in Shangcheng County in Xinyang City from April to December in 2018, where the highest SFTS incidence in China was reported. Anti-SFTSV IgG was measured by indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and neutralizing antibody (NAb) was detected by using PRNT50. The logistic regression models were performed to analyze the variables that were associated with seropositive rates.Results: Totally 886 individuals were recruited. The baseline seroprevalence that was tested before the epidemic season was 11.9% (70/587) for IgG and 6.8% (40/587) for NAb, which was increased to 13.4% (47/350) and 7.7% (27/350) during the epidemic season, and further to 15.8% (80/508) and 9.8% (50/508) post epidemic. The IgG antibody-based seropositivity was significantly related to the patients aged ≥ 70 years old [adjusted odds ratio (OR) = 2.440, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.334-4.461 compared to the group of < 50 years old,P = 0.004], recent contact with cats (adjustedOR = 2.195, 95%CI: 1.261-3.818,P = 0.005), and working in tea garden (adjustedOR = 1.698, 95%CI: 1.002-2.880,P = 0.049) by applying multivariate logistic regression model. The NAb based seropositivity was similarly related to the patients aged ≥ 70 years old (adjustedOR = 2.691, 95%CI: 1.271-5.695 compared to the group of < 50 years old,P = 0.010), and recent contact with cats (OR = 2.648, 95%CI: 1.419-4.941,P = 0.002). For a cohort of individuals continually sampled with 1-year apart, the anti-SFTSV IgG were maintained at a stable level, while the NAb level reduced.Conclusions: Subclinical infection might not provide adequate immunity to protect reinfection of SFTSV, thus highlighting the ongoing threats of SFTS in endemic regions, which called for an imperative need for vaccine development. 17Dynamics of quantum zeno and anti-zeno efects in an open system显示文摘We provide a general dynamical approach for the quantum Zeno and anti-Zeno efects in an open quantum system under repeated non-demolition measurements.In our approach the repeated measurements are described by a general dynamical model without the wave function collapse postulation.Based on that model,we further study both the short-time and long-time evolutions of the open quantum system under repeated non-demolition measurements,and derive the measurement-modified decay rates of the excited state.In the cases with frequent ideal measurements at zero-temperature,we re-obtain the same decay rate as that from the wave function collapse postulation(Nature,2000,405:546).The correction to the ideal decay rate is also obtained under the non-ideal measurements.Especially,we find that the quantum Zeno and anti-Zeno efects are possibly enhanced by the non-ideal natures of measurements.For the open system under measurements with arbitrary period,we generally derive the rate equation for the long-time evolution for the cases with arbitrary temperature and noise spectrum,and show that in the long-time evolution the noise spectrum is efectively tuned by the repeated measurements.Our approach is also able to describe the quantum Zeno and anti-Zeno efects given by the phase modulation pulses,as well as the relevant quantum control schemes.ZHANG Peng AI Qing LI Yong XU DaZhi SUN ChangPu 2014Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,2:2
18Ternary polymer nanocomposites with concurrently enhanced dielectric constant and breakdown strength for high-temperature electrostatic capacitors显示文摘The exploration of high-energy-density electrostatic capacitors capable of operating both efficiently and reliably at elevated temperatures is of great significance in order to meet advanced power electronic applications.The energy density of a capacitor is strongly dependent on dielectric constant and breakdown strength of a dielectric material.Here,we demonstrate a class of solution-processable polymer nanocomposites exhibiting a concurrent improvement in dielectric constant and breakdown strength,which typically show a negative correlation in conventional dielectric materials,along with a reduction in dielectric loss.The excellent performance is enabled by the elegant combination of nanostructured barium titanate and boron nitride fillers with complementary functionalities.The ternary polymer nanocomposite with the optimized filler compositions delivers a discharged energy density of 2.92 J cm^−3 and a Weibull breakdown strength of 547 MV m^−1 at 150℃,which are 83%and 25%,respectively,greater than those of the pristine polymer.The conduction behaviors including interfacial barrier and carrier transport process have been investigated to rationalize the energy storage performance of ternary polymer nanocomposite.This contribution provides a new design paradigm for scalable high-temperature polymer film capacitors.He Li Lulu Ren Ding Ai Zhubing Han Yang Liu Bin Yao Qing Wang 2020InfoMat2020,2,2:2

20Transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses reveal that exogenous strigolactones alleviate the response of melon root to cadmium stress显示文摘Strigolactones(SLs)are classified into plant hormones,playing a key role as a mediator of plant growth in response to several abiotic stresses.Cadmium(Cd),a common heavy metal and soil pollutant,can suppress plant growth and development.In this work,we explored the effects of exogenous SLs on root formation in response to Cd stress using melon seeds subjected to seven germination treatments:CK(control),Cd(300 μmol·L^(-1) CdCl_(2)),and SL1-SL5(CdCl_(2)-stressed seeds pretreated with 0.1,0.5,1,2,and 3 μmol·L^(-1) GR24 solutions).The results indicated that SLs increased the antioxidant enzyme activities and root vigor and decreased the malondialdehyde(MDA)contents in the roots of Cdstressed melon seedlings.Then we used transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses to explore the mechanisms by which exogenous SLs protect against Cd stress.There were 242 significant differentially expressed genes(DEGs)(78 upregulated,164 downregulated)and 247 significantly differentially expressed metabolites(DEMs)(222 upregulated,25 downregulated)between the Cd and SL3 treatments.SLs altered the expression of genes related to redox formation processes,including peroxidase(POD),lipoxygenase(LOX),glutamate dehydrogenase(GDH),and glutathione S-transferase(GST).In addition,we found that SLs regulated the expression of the MYB,AP2/ERF,bHLH,and WRKY transcription factor families.The combined transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses revealed that the DEGs and DEMs involved in Cd stress alleviation were mainly related to the gene expression of jasmonic acid(JA)and flavonoid biosynthesis.SLs might induce LOX-related genes to regulate JA biosynthesis.Moreover,SLs might promote flavonoid biosynthesis by regulating eleven flavonoid-related genes and eight metabolites.The results provide a new perspective for studying the adaptation of plants to Cd stress.Xuemiao Chen Xueyin Shi Qing Ai Jinying Han Huaisong Wang Qiushi Fu 2022Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,5:2
