用数值模拟方法分析混合和导流筒对搅拌槽中沉淀硫酸钡的影响显示文摘The effect of mixing on the precipitation of barium sulfate in a continuous stirred tank is simulated numerically with different feeding location, feed concentration, impeller speed and residence time through solving the standard momentum and mass transport equations in combination with the moment equations for crystal population balance. The numerical method was validated with the literature data. The simulation results including the distribution of the local supersaturation ratio distribution in the precipitator, mean crystal size and coefficient of variation under different operating conditions compared well with experimental data in the literature. The effect of the presence of a draft tube on precipitation were also investigated, and it is suggested that the installation of a draft tube increased the mean crystal size, in general agreement with experimental work in the literature.王正 毛在砂 杨超 沈湘黔 2006Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2006,14,6:12
Modeling of elastic wave propagation on a curved free surface using an improved finite-difference algorithm显示文摘Based on existing direct and imaging methods of a staggered finite-difference scheme, an improved algorithm for staggered finite-difference is proposed to implement rugged topographic free boundary conditions. This method assumes that the free surface can be implemented with horizontal and vertical free surface segments and their corners; the free surface passes through the grid points of shear stress components, instead of the normal stress components. Imaging is carried out for stress components in both horizontal and vertical directions, thus increasing the accuracy. To update particle- velocities, imaging and updating are first performed in the horizontal direction, and then in the vertical direction. The numerical results for elastic flat horizontal free surface with the imaging method and those for flat free surfaces of various slope angles with the proposed method are compared, and are shown to be in good agreement. The advantage of the proposed method is that only the stresses are dealt with in implementing the free surface into the staggered algorithm, which improves computation efficiency.WANG Xiuming1,3 & ZHANG Hailan2 1. 3Research and application on the technology system of multi-scale assessment of the impact on the atmospheric environment by urban planning显示文摘Improvement of the atmospheric environment in urban planning is an important issue to implement the sustainable development of cities. In this paper, in order to meet the demand of planning office to compare and assess quantitatively of the designs in multi-scale, based on geographical information system (GIS) data with high resolution, a multi-scale numerical modeling system for the atmospheric environment impact of urban planning is set up, and the multi-scale assessment index system is established, which compose the technology system of multi-scale assessment of the impact on the atmospheric environment by urban planning. In urban planning (urban development of Beijing) and optimizing layouts of Olympic Green, it has been applied to quantitatively evaluating the impact on atmospheric environment by urban planning before construction, which offers scientific foundation to optimize the whole and local urban layout.WANG Guangtao, WANG Xiaoyun, MIAO Shiguang, JIANG Weimei, GUO Wenli, JI Chongping & CHEN Xianyan School of Architecture, Tsinghua University, Beijing 100084, China Ministry of Construction of China, Beijing 100044, China Beijing Meteorological Bureau, Beijing 100089, China Institute of Urban Meteorology, China Meteorological Administration, Beijing 100089, China Department of Atmospheric Sciences, Nanjing University, Nanjing 210093, China 2005Science China Earth Sciences2005,48,z2:11
Effect of rock mass structure and block size on the slope stability——Physical modeling and discrete element simulation显示文摘This paper studies the stability of jointed rock slopes by using our improved three-dimensional discrete element methods (DEM) and physical modeling. Results show that the DEM can simulate all failure modes of rock slopes with different joint configurations. The stress in each rock block is not homogeneous and blocks rotate in failure development. Failure modes depend on the configuration of joints. Toppling failure is observed for the slope with straight joints and sliding failure is observed for the slope with staged joints. The DEM results are also compared with those of limit equilibrium method (LEM). Without considering the joints in rock masses, the LEM predicts much higher factor of safety than physical modeling and DEM. The failure mode and factor of safety predicted by the DEM are in good agreement with laboratory tests for any jointed rock slope.LI Shihai1, LIAN Zhenzhong1,2 & J. G. Wang3 1. 5Effect of particle inertia on temperature statistics in particle-laden homogeneous isotropic turbulence显示文摘The fluid temperature statistics along particle trajectories is crucial to under- stand the mechanisms of turbulent non-isothermal or reactive fluid-particle flow, especially for the Lagrangian model of non-isothermal particle-laden turbulent flow. In the present study, direct numerical simulations were utilized to generate temperature field statistics in particle-laden incompressible stationary homogeneous isotropic turbulent flows, which is focused on the effect of particle response time on the Lagrangian statistics of the particle and the fluid temperature seen by particles. It shows that, for the particles with τp/τk < 1, the ratio of the fluid intensity seen by particle to fluid temperature intensities deceased as τp/τk increased; while for larger particles (τp/τk > 1), the trend is inversed. For small parti- cles (τp/τk<5), the Lagrangian autocorrelation coefficient of the particle temperature RpT decreases as the particle inertia (τp/τk) increases. The trend is reversed for larger particles. The autocorrelation of fluid temperature along the particle path, RpfT, decreased as the particle inertia increased. And as the particle inertia increased, the autocorrelation coeffi- cient of the fluid temperature seen by particle decreased more rapidly than that of the particle temperature. The mean temperature gradient contributes to the correlation be- tween the particles velocity component and temperature fluctuations in the direction of the gradient. For the particles with τp/τk<1, the magnitude of the correlation coefficient in- creases as the particle inertia increases, while this value is independent of the particle time constant for larger particles.HE Zhu LIU Zhaohui CHEN Sheng LIU Yaming ZHENG Chuguang 2006Science China(Technological Sciences)2006,49,2:8
Study on the drug resistance and the binding mode of HIV-1 integrase with LCA inhibitor显示文摘Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) integrase (IN) is an essential enzyme in the lifecycle of this virus and also an important target for the study of anti-HIV drugs. The binding mode of the wild type IN core domain and its G140S mutant with L-Chicoric acid (LCA) inhibitor were investigated by using multiple conformation molecular docking and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. Based on the binding modes, the drug resistance mechanism was explored for the G140S mutant of IN with LCA. The results indicate that the binding site of the G140S mutant of IN core domain with LCA is different from that of the core domain of the wild type IN, which leads to the partial loss of inhibition potency of LCA. The flexibility of the IN functional loop region and the interactions between Mg2+ ion and the three key residues (i.e., D64, D116, E152) stimulate the biological operation of IN. The drug resistance also lies in several other important effects, such as the repulsion between LCA and E152 in the G140S mutant core domain, the weakening of K159 binding with LCA and Y143 pointing to the pocket of the G140S mutant. All of the above simulation results agree well with experimental data, which provide us with some helpful information for designing the drug of anti-HIV based on the structure of IN.HU JianPing1,2, CHANG Shan1, CHEN WeiZu1 & WANG CunXin1 1 College of Life Science and Bioengineering, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing 100022, China 2 Department of Chemistry & Life Sciences, Leshan Normal University, Leshan 614004, China 2007Science China Chemistry2007,50,5:7
NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF METHANE EMISSIONS FROM RICE PADDY FIELDS IN THE YANGTZE DELTA OF CHINA显示文摘A numerical simulation model is presented in this paper, which comprises the processes of crop growth, soil organic carbon decomposition, and methane emissions in agroecosystems.Simulation results show that the model can simulate the main process of methane emissions well, and the correlation coefficient between the simulated values and observed data is 0. 79 with 239 samples, which passed a significance test of 0. 01. The average error of methane emission simulation in whole growth period is about 15%. Numerical analysis of the model indicates that the average temperature during rice growth period has much impacts on methane emissions, and the basic trend of interannual methane emissions is similar to that of average temperature. The amount of methane emissions reduces about 34. 93%, when the fertilizer is used instead of manure in single rice paddy.刘建栋 周秀骥 张宇 2001Acta meteorologica Sinica2001,15,1:6
SCHEMES OF GAS PRODUCTION FROM NATURAL GAS HYDRATES显示文摘Natural gas hydrates are a kind of nonpolluting and high quality energy resources for future, the reserves of which are about twice of the carbon of the current fossil energy (petroleum, natural gas and coal) on the earth. And it will be the most important energy for the 21st century. The energy balance and numerical simulation are applied to study the schemes of the natural gas hydrates production in this paper, and it is considered that both depressurization and thermal stimulation are effective methods for exploiting natural gas hydrates, and that the gas production of the thermal stimulation is higher than that of the depressurization. But thermal stimulation is non-economic because it requires large amounts of energy. Therefore the combination of the two methods is a preferable method for the current development of the natural gas hydrates. The main factors which influence the production of natural gas hydrates are: the temperature of injected water, the injection rate, the initial saturation of the hydrates and the initial temperature of the reservoir which is the most important factor.李淑霞 陈月明 杜庆军 2003化工学报2003,54,z1:6
Study on Thermal Simulation of Solidification in Heavy Section Ductile Iron显示文摘Using an artificial intelligent instrument and a computer feedback control method, a new thermal simulation systemis studied. Based on numerical simulation of casting solidification, a sample in the new system successfully simulatedthe solidification of heavy section ductile iron. The results show that the new thermal simulation system is accurateand reliable. Not only cooling curve but also graphite in the center of the thermal sample and the heavy sectionductile iron is identical. Realization of accurate thermal simulation of solidification in heavy section ductile iron willbe helpful for studying formation mechanism and controlling graphite degeneration in heavy section ductile iron.Zhenhua LI Yanxiang LI Huiyuan GENG Jianjun CHEN Chunyan ZHOU Junfa CHEN 2003Journal of Materials Science & Technology2003,19,z1:5
Numerical Simulation of Wind and Temperature Fields over Beijing Area in Summer显示文摘The non-hydrostatic mesoscale model MM5V3 is used to simulate the wind and temperature fields of the atmospheric boundary layer over Beijing area in summer with the mesh resolution of 1 km. The simulation results show that the numerical model can successfully simulate the urban heat island effect and the wind and temperature fields which are affected by the complicated topography and urban heat island. The results show that: (1) the west area (from Haidian to Fengtai Districts) is always the high temperature center of Beijing, where the surface temperature is about 6 K higher than the other suburbs; and (2) due to the unique topography the wind of Beijing area during the daytime is southern anabatic wind and at the night is northern katabatic wind. The results comparing well with the data from surface observation stations validate the accuracy of the simulation.胡小明 刘树华 王迎春 李矩 2005Acta meteorologica Sinica2005,19,1:5
Visualization of the formation and features of soil arching within a piled embankment by discrete element method simulation显示文摘Piled embankments are widely used in highway and railway engineering due to their economy and efficiency inovercoming several issues encountered in constructing embankments over weak soils. Soil arching, caused by the pile-subsoilrelative displacement (△s), plays an important role in reducing the embankment load falling on weak soil, however, the funda-mental characteristics (e.g., formation and features) of soil arching remain poorly understood. In this study, a series of discreteelement method (DEM) modellings are performed to study the formation and features of soil arching with the variation of As inpiled embankments with or without geosynthetic reinforcement. Firstly, calibration for the modelling parameters is carried out bycomparing the DEM results with the experimental data obtained from the existing literature. Secondly, the analysis of the macro-and micro-behaviours is performed in detail. Finally, a parametric study is conducted in an effort to identify the influences of threekey factors on soil arching: the friction coefficient of the embankment fill (f), the embankment height (h), and the pile clear spacing(s-a). Numerical results indicate that △s is a key factor governing the formation and features of soil arching in embankments. Tobe specific, soil arching gradually evolves from two inclined shear planes at a small △s to a hemispherical arch at a relatively largeAs. Then, with a continuous increase in △s, the soil arching height gradually increases and finally approaches a constant value of0.8(s-a) (i.e., the maximum soil arching height). For a given case, the higher the soil arching height, the greater the degree of soilarching effect. The parametric study shows that the friction coefficient of the embankment fill has a negligible influence on theformation and features of soil arching. However, embankment height is a key factor governing the formation and features of soilarching. In addition, pile clear spacing has a significant effect on the formation of soil arching, but not on its features.Han-jiang LAI Jun-jie ZHENG Rong-jun ZHANG Ming-juan CUI 2016Journal of Zhejiang University-Science A(Applied Physics & Engineering)2016,17,10:5
Simulation and evaluation of the quality and availability of typical GLI ocean image显示文摘ADEOS-II satellite will be launched in the near future. It collocates many remote sensing instruments in the same platform. Among them, Global Image (GLI) is considered to be a main sensor which will play a key role. In order to understand the characteristics of future GLI ocean color images, a simulation and evaluation of the quality and availability of GLI typical ocean image has been done. In the paper, we first introduce the simulation models briefly, and simulate typical cases of radiance images at visible channels, in which the radiance distribution is based on geographic location, the satellite orbital parameters and sensor properties. A method, complex signal noise ratio (CSNR) to evaluate the image quality and availability, is developed according to the characteristics of image. Meanwhile, a series of CSNR images are generated from the simulated radiance components for different cases, which can be used to evaluate the quality and availability of GLI images before the ADEOS-II is placed in orbit. Finally, the quality and availability of GLI images are quantitatively analyzed by the simulated CSNR data. The results will be beneficial to the people who are in charge of GLI mission or plan to use the data from GLI.Tasuku TANAKA 2002Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2002,12,6:4
THE INTRASEASONAL OSCILLATION AND ITS INTERANNUAL VARIABILITY—A SIMULATION STUDY显示文摘The atmospheric intraseasonal oscillation (ISO) and its interannual variability are simulated by the atmospheric general circulation model, which was developed at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics. Two numerical experiments were performed, corresponding to the AMIP-I and AMIP-II simulations, respectively. The model reasonably reproduces the major aspects of the intraseasonal oscillation, including the propagating property and the seasonal differences in the tropics, the wavenumber structure of ISO in the globe, and the global coincidence in the interannual variation of ISO. Comparison of the results between the two experiments suggests that improvement of the boundary forcing or considering the air-sea interaction may help to improve the simulation on the ISO and its interannual variability.王会军 陈兴跃 薛峰 曾庆存 2001Acta meteorologica Sinica2001,15,1:4
Direct numerical simulation of compressible isotropic turbulence显示文摘Direct numerical simulation (DNS) of decaying compressible isotropic turbulence at tur-bulence Mach numbers of Mt = 0.2-0.7 and Taylor Reynolds numbers of 72 and 153 is per-formed by using the 7th order upwind-biased difference and 8th order center difference schemes. Results show that proper upwind-biased difference schemes can release the limit of 'start-up'problem to Mach numbers.Compressibility effects on the statistics of turbulent flow as well as the mechanics of shockletsin compressible turbulence are also studied, and the conclusion is drawn that high Mach numberleads to more dissipation. Scaling laws in compressible turbulence are also analyzed. Evidence isobtained that scaling laws and extended self similarity (ESS) hold in the compressible turbulentflow in spite of the presence of shocklets, and compressibility has little effect on scaling exponents.李新亮 傅德薰 马延文 2002Science China Mathematics2002,45,11:4
Discovery of transition rules for geographical cellular automata by using ant colony optimization显示文摘A new intelligent algorithm of geographical cellular automata (CA) based on ant colony optimization (ACO) is proposed in this paper. CA is capable of simulating the evolution of complex geographical phenomena, and the core of CA models is how to define transition rules. However, most of the transition rules are defined by mathematical equations, and are hence not explicit. When the study area is complicated, it is much more difficult to extract parameters for geographical CA. As a result, ACO is applied to geographical CA to automatically and intelligently obtain transition rules in this paper. The transition rules extracted by ACO are defined as logical expressions rather than implicit mathematical equations to describe the complex relationships of the nature, and easy for people to understand. The ACO-CA model was applied to simulating rural-urban land conversions in Guangzhou City, China, and appropriate simulation results were generated. Compared with See5.0 decision tree model, ACO-CA is more suitable to discovering transition rules for geographical CA.Anthony Gar-On YEH 2007Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,10:4
The Caledonian low Al-TTD series from the Northern Qinling Orogenic Belt:Rock properties, genetic simulation and geological implication显示文摘A belt of low Al-Trondhjemite-Tonalite-Diorite (TTD) series has been recognized along the Northern Qinling Orogenic Belt (NQOB), which is dated as 430―399 Ma and charac-teristic of positive εNd(t ) values. Geochemical features and trace elements simulation indicate that the TTD series was probably originated from differently partial melting of tholeiitic rocks from the Erlangping group. Thermodynamic analysis on the residue phases of the partial melting pro- cesses suggests that the TTD series may represent a dynamic process of temperature-increasing and pressure-decreasing, indicating an extension and thinning process of a thickened crust.TIAN Wei WEI Chunjing 2005Science China Earth Sciences2005,48,11:4
Large scale petroleum reservoir simulation and parallel preconditioning algorithms research显示文摘Solving large scale linear systems efficiently plays an important role in a petroleum reservoir simulator, and the key part is how to choose an effective parallel preconditioner. Properly choosing a good preconditioner has been beyond the pure algebraic field. An integrated preconditioner should include such components as physical background, characteristics of PDE mathematical model, nonlinear solving method, linear solving algorithm, domain decomposition and parallel computation. We first discuss some parallel preconditioning techniques, and then construct an integrated preconditioner, which is based on large scale distributed parallel processing, and reservoir simulation-oriented. The infrastructure of this preconditioner contains such famous preconditioning construction techniques as coarse grid correction, constraint residual correction and subspace projection correction. We essentially use multi-step means to integrate totally eight types of preconditioning components in order to give out the final preconditioner. Million-grid cell scale industrial reservoir data were tested on native high performance computers. Numerical statistics and analyses show that this preconditioner achieves satisfying parallel efficiency and acceleration effect.SUN Jiachang CAO Jianwen 2004Science China Mathematics2004,47,z1:4
Numerical simulation of fire development in a single compartment based on cone calorimeter experiments显示文摘The burning characteristics of several kinds of wood and polyurethane materials have been studied using cone calorimeter (CONE2A). A new and simple ignition criterion, heat release rate model and mass loss rate model are proposed based on experiments. Combined with these models, the zone-model of fire can be used to predict fire development in a single compartment according to the species of combustibles, their quantities and distribution. 20Simulation of response of sodium layer to the propagation of gravity wave显示文摘A time-dependent two-dimensional photochemical-dynamical coupling gravity wave model of sodium layer is developed, which combines the sodium photochemical theory, a time-dependent two-dimensional atmospheric photochemical model, a two-dimensional gravity wave model, and the International Reference Ionosphere model (IRI-95)with the diabatic process induced by photochemical reactions and the transport of chemical species by gravity waves included. The pseudospectral method is used in the horizontal direction, the finite difference approximations are used in vertical direction z and time t. And FICE method is used to solve the model. The simulation results indicate that intense perturbations of the sodium layer can be induced by the propagation of gravity waves. The results are consistent with the observations.XU Jiyao 2004Science China(Technological Sciences)2004,47,3:3
