| 1 | Practical Optimization of Low-Thrust Minimum-Time Orbital Rendezvous in Sun-Synchronous Orbits显示文摘High-specific-impulse electric propulsion technology is promising for future space robotic debris removal in sun-synchronous orbits.Such a prospect involves solving a class of challenging problems of low-thrust orbital rendezvous between an active spacecraft and a free-flying debris. This study focuses on computing optimal low-thrust minimum-time many-revolution trajectories, considering the effects of the Earth oblateness perturbations and null thrust in Earth shadow.Firstly,a set of mean-element orbital dynamic equations of a chaser(spacecraft)and a target(debris)are derived by using the orbital averaging technique, and specifically a slow-changing state of the mean longitude difference is proposed to accommodate to the rendezvous problem.Subsequently, the corresponding optimal control problem is formulated based on the mean elements and their associated costate variables in terms of Pontryagin’s maximum principle, and a practical optimization procedure is adopted to find the specific initial costate variables, wherein the necessary conditions of the optimal solutions are all satisfied.Afterwards, the optimal control profile obtained in mean elements is then mapped into the counterpart that is employed by the osculating orbital dynamics.A simple correction strategy about the initialization of the mean elements, specifically the differential mean true longitude,is suggested, which is capable of minimizing the terminal orbital rendezvous errors for propagating orbital dynamics expressed by both mean and osculating elements. Finally, numerical examples are presented, and specifically, the terminal orbital rendezvous accuracy is verified by solving hundreds of rendezvous problems, demonstrating the effectiveness of the optimization method proposed in this article. | Jian Ma ChangxuanWen Chen Zhang | 2021 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2021,,2: | 1 |
| 2 | Study on Forced Straight-Line Guidance for the Final Translation Phase of Spacecraft Rendezvous显示文摘Aimed at the problem of final translation of space rendezvous for the applications such as docking, inspection and tracking, optimal straight-line guidance algorithm based on pulse/continuous low-thrust in the context of Clohessy-Wiltshire dynamics is proposed. Two modes of guidance strategy:varying-speed and fixed-speed approaching scheme for V-bar and R-bar approach by using constant/finite low-thrust propulsion respectively are studied, and the corresponding fuel-optimal conditions are obtained.Numerical simulation is conducted to verify and test the proposed algorithms. The results show that there is generally no different between the fuel consumptions by using the two different approaching modes for V-bar case. However, the conclusion for Rbar case is different that the using of continuous low-thrust cost more fuel and transfer time. | Baichun Gong Chenglong He Degang Zhang | 2020 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2020,,1: | 1 |
| 3 | Trajectory Planning of High Precision Collaborative Robots显示文摘In order to satisfy the high efficiency and high precision of collaborative robots, this work presents a novel trajectory planning method.First,in Cartesian space,a novel velocity look-ahead control algorithm and a cubic polynomial are combined to construct the end-effector trajectory of robots. Then, the joint trajectories can be obtained through the inverse kinematics. In order to improve the smoothness and stability in joint space, the joint trajectories are further adjusted based on the velocity look-ahead control algorithm and quintic B-spline.Finally,the proposed trajectory planning method is tested on a 4-DOF serial collaborative robot. The experimental results indicate that the collaborative robot achieves the high efficiency and high precision, which validates the effectiveness of the proposed method. | Tuanjie Li Yan Zhang Jiaxing Zhou | 2019 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2019,,3: | 0 |
| 4 | Overview of Earth-Moon Transfer Trajectory Modeling and Design显示文摘TheMoon is the only celestial body that human beings have visited. The design of the Earth-Moon transfer orbits is a critical issue in lunar exploration missions. In the 21st century, new lunar missions including the construction of the lunar space station, the permanent lunar base, and the Earth-Moon transportation network have been proposed, requiring low-cost,expansive launch windows and a fixed arrival epoch for any launch date within the launch window. The low-energy and low-thrust transfers are promising strategies to satisfy the demands. This review provides a detailed landscape of Earth-Moon transfer trajectory design processes, from the traditional patched conic to the state-of-the-art low-energy and low-thrust methods.Essential mechanisms of the various utilized dynamic models and the characteristics of the different design methods are discussed in hopes of helping readers grasp thebasic overviewof the current Earth-Moon transfer orbitdesignmethods anda deep academic background is unnecessary for the context understanding. | Jiye Zhang Huichang Yu Honghua Dai | 2023 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,,4: | 0 |
