1Fabrication of macroporous polystyrene/graphene oxide composite monolith and its adsorption property for tetracycline显示文摘Macroporous polystyrene microsphere/graphene oxide(PS/GO) composite monolith was first prepared using Pickering emulsion droplets as the soft template. The Pickering emulsion was stabilized by PS/GO composite particles in-situ formed in an acidic water phase. With the evaporation of water and the oil phase(octane), the Pickering emulsion droplets agglomerated and combined with each other, forming a three-dimensional macroporous PS/GO composite matrix with excellent mechanical strength. The size of the macrospores ranged from 4 mm to 20 mm. The macroporous PS/GO composite monolith exhibited high adsorption capacity for tetracycline(TC) in an aqueous solution at p H 4–6. The maximum adsorption capacity reached 197.9 mg g 1at p H 6. The adsorption behaviour of TC fitted well with the Langmuir model and pseudo-second-order kinetic model. 2Synthesis of new superabsorbent poly(NIPAAm/AA/N-allylisatin)nanohydrogel for effective removal of As(Ⅴ) and Cd(Ⅱ) toxic metal ions显示文摘The present studies highlight the effective removal of As(V) and Cd(II) from aqueous solutions by superabsorbent poly(NlPAAm/AA/N-allylisatin) nanohydrogel.Batch removal studies were performed as a function of treatment time,initial metal ion concentration,pH,and adsorbent dose.TEM micrographs confirm the particle size distribution in the range between 5 nm and 10 nm.The simple and metal ions adsorbed nanohydrogels were characterized by FT-IR,TGA,and EDX analysis.Finally,the equilibrium removal efficiency of the nanohydrogel was analyzed according to the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherm models which showed the removal of As(V) and Cd(II) metal ions fitted to Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms,respectively.Removal efficiency order of the metal ions is As(V) > Cd(II).Viran P.Mahida Manish P.Patel 2014Chinese Chemical Letters2014,25,4:5

4Preparation and application of a novel orotic acid chelating resin for removal of Cu(Ⅱ) in aqueous solutions显示文摘A novel chelating resin OABA,capable of removing Cu(Ⅱ) from aqueous solution,was synthesized via the reaction of macroporous chloromethylated PS-DVB copolymer beads with orotic acid.The elemental analysis(EA),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),and scanning electron microscopy microscope-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(SEM-EDS) were used in the characterization of the synthesized chelating resin.Multiple,static batch adsorption experiments were conducted at different initial concentrations and temperatures.OABA showed good adsorption capacity for Cu(Ⅱ) and the equilibrium data could be well matched with the Freundlich isotherm model.Coexisting sodium chloride and calcium chloride in solutions favored the Cu(Ⅱ) adsorption.Moreover,the desorption process of Cu(Ⅱ) was tested and over 90%regeneration efficiency for the spent OABA was achieved at ammonia concentrations ranging from 1.0%to 2.0%.The results suggested that OABA would be a potential alternative adsorbent for Cu(Ⅱ),even with other heavy metal ion treatments of wastewater.Yue Sun Zhi-Chao Li Yan Xu 2013Chinese Chemical Letters2013,24,8:4
5Preparation of a novel chelating resin for the removal of Ni^(2+)from water显示文摘A new chelating resin DVB-MA-HDA modified with hydroxamic acid groups was prepared for the fast removal of Ni^(2+) from water.SEM,BET,elemental analysis,FT-IR spectroscopy and XPS were used to characterize this new adsorbent.Batch adsorption experiment indicated that the equilibrium adsorption capacity of DVB-MA-HD for Ni^(2+) was more than 130 mg/g,and the adsorption isotherm can be well fitted by the Langmuir model.The adsorption kinetic curve indicates that more than 60%of the adsorption amount of Ni^(2+) at equilibrium occurred within the initial 20 min.0.1 mol/L EDTA solution could desorb Ni^(2+) from DVB-MA-HDA effectively.Yuan-Hui Peng Jin-Nan Wang Xin Yang Cheng Cheng Thomas Wintgens 2014Chinese Chemical Letters2014,25,2:3
