1An improved attack on clock-controlled shift registers based on hardware implementation显示文摘We cryptanalyze a type of stream generator with three linear-feedback shift registers that are mutually clocked in a stop/go manner and have the property of sequences of state space convergence.By guessing the clock-controlled sequence and employing a backtracking search,we propose an algorithm attack on the type of stream generator based on hardware implementation.In particular,the time complexity of the algorithm attacking the encryption algorithm A5/1 is 243.869 clock periods.With our hardware architecture,we investigate the implementation of the algorithm on feld programmable gate array and application-specifc integrated circuit for an attack on A5/1.As a result,we can retrieve the initial states of A5/1’s registers in 2 s on average without pre-computation if we have 64 known key-stream bits.LI Lei LIU XiangHui WANG Zheng LI FengHua 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,11:2
2A framework of physical layer technique assisted authentication for vehicular communication networks显示文摘In this paper, we introduce a message physical layer assisted message authentication (PAA) framework under public key infrastructure (PKI) in vehicular communication networks. The proposed framework takes advantage of temporal and spatial uniqueness in physical layer channel responses for each transmission pair, in which a trust between two vehicles can be maintained by comparing the current estimated channel response and the previous estimated channel response. 3Using IND-CVA for constructing secure communication显示文摘Within the framework of UC (universally composable) security, a general method is presented to construct a secure channel protocol with using IND-CVA (indistinguishability of encryption scheme under ciphertext verification attacks). A channel protocol with using the method first invokes an ideal keyexchange protocol to get a session key, and then computes the messages with an authenticated encryption scheme. The paper shows that a channel protocol is UC secure if and only if the underlying authenticated encryption scheme is both IND-CVA secure and INT-PTXT secure. The condition about secure channel protocol in this paper is much weaker than IND-CCA secure and INT-CTXT secure. The IND-CVA can be presented for describing the privacy requirements of secure channels in detail.
