| 1 | Quaternary volcanism in the Nuomin River and Kuile River area of the Greater Hinggan Mountains显示文摘Field investigations have determined 24 Quaternary volcanoes and volcanic rocks with an area of about 600 km 2 in the Nuomin River and Kuile River area in the north of the Greater Hinggan Mountains.In the volcanic field,explosive eruption produced pyroclasts,which constitute volcanic cones,and effusive eruption produced aa,pahoehoe and block lava,which make up lava flows.There are three volcano types here,i.e.,cinder cone,spatter cone,and scutulum type volcano.Multi-vent pyroclastic cones and scutulum type volcanoes characterize this volcanic field.The volcanic features,stratigraphy,and weathering extent,in conjunction with dating data,indicate that the volcanism occurred in four periods:early Pleistocene,middle Pleistocene,late Pleistocene,and Holocene.Basalts of the early Pleistocene dominated by lava flows were distributed in a few valleys.Volcanic products of the middle Pleistocene constitute the main part of the Quaternary volcanic deposits,which indicates the peak season of volcanism.Volcanism in the late Pleistocene and Holocene were constrained in the Bila River valley,products of which make up fresh lava flows and spectacular volcanoes. | ZHAO YongWei FAN QiCheng BAI ZhiDa SUI JianLi | 2013 | Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,2: | 9 |
| 2 | A Double-Index Method to Classify Kuroshio Intrusion Paths in the Luzon Strait显示文摘A double index(DI), which is made up of two sub-indices, is proposed to describe the spatial patterns of the Kuroshio intrusion and mesoscale eddies west to the Luzon Strait, based on satellite altimeter data. The area-integrated negative and positive geostrophic vorticities are defined as the Kuroshio warm eddy index(KWI) and the Kuroshio cold eddy index(KCI),respectively. Three typical spatial patterns are identified by the DI: the Kuroshio warm eddy path(KWEP), the Kuroshio cold eddy path(KCEP), and the leaking path. The primary features of the DI and three patterns are further investigated and compared with previous indices. The effects of the integrated area and the algorithm of the integration are investigated in detail. In general, the DI can overcome the problem of previously used indices in which the positive and negative geostrophic vorticities cancel each other out. | 5 | Influence of Island Chains on the Kuroshio Intrusion in the Luzon Strait显示文摘By applying a global high-resolution(0.1?) OGCM, the influence of the island chains in the Luzon Strait(LS) on the Kuroshio intrusion is studied systematically. The island chains in the LS are separated into three parts: the south island chain,the middle and north island chain, and Babuyan Island. One control and three sensitivity experiments are conducted by adding these three parts of the topography gradually. From comparisons of the circulation, temperature, and salinity structures, it is found that the south island chain decreases the westward bending of the main Kuroshio path, the middle and north island chain increases the westward bending, and Babuyan Island also increases the westward bending. These results are extremely clear in winter. Dynamic diagnoses suggest that the westward bending increases with an increase in the incidence angle of the Kuroshio and an increase in the Kuroshio east branch transport. | 7 | High rate and cycling stable Li metal anodes enabled with aluminum-zinc oxides modified copper foam显示文摘Metallic Li is a promising anode material for high energy density batteries but it suffers from poor stability and formation of unsafe dendrites. Previous studies demonstrated that 3 D metal foams are able to improve the stability of Li metal but the properties of these foams are inherently limited. Here we report a facile surface modification approach via magnetron sputtering of mixed oxides that effectively modulate the properties of Cu foams for supporting Li metal with remarkable stability. We discovered that hybrid Li anodes with Li metal thermally infused to aluminum-zinc oxides(AZO) coated Cu foams have significantly improved stability and reactivity compared with pristine Li foils and Li infused to unmodified Cu foams. Full cells assembled with a Li Fe PO4 cathode and a hybrid anode maintained low and stable charge-transfer resistance(<50) during 500 cycles in carbonate electrolytes, and exhibited superior rate capability(~100 m Ah g-1 at 20 C) along with better electrochemical reversibility and surface stability. The AZO modified Cu foams had superior mechanical strength and afforded the hybrid anodes with minimized volume change without the formation of dendrites during battery cycling. | 8 | Path-Following Control of Autonomous Vehicles Considering Coupling Effects and Multi-source System Uncertainties显示文摘Path-following control is one of the key technologies of autonomous vehicles,but the complex coupling effects and system uncertainties of vehicles can degrade their control performance.Accordingly,this study proposes targeted methods to solve different types of coupling in vehicle dynamics.First,the types of coupling are figured out and different handling strategies are proposed for each type,among which the coupling caused by steering angle,unsaturated tire forces,and load transfer can be treated as uncertainties in a unified form,such that the coupling effects can be treated in a decoupling way.Then,robust control methods for both lateral and longitudinal dynamics are proposed to deal with the uncertainties in dynamic and physical parameters.In lateral control,a robust feedback-feedforward scheme is utilized in lateral control to deal with such uncertainties.In longitudinal control,a radial basis function neural network-based adaptive sliding mode controller is introduced to deal with uncertainties and disturbances.In addition,the tire saturation coupling that cannot be handled by controllers is treated by a proposed speed profile.Simulation results based on the CarSim-Simulink joint platform evaluate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed control method.The results show that compared with a well-designed robust controller,the velocity tracking performance,lateral tracking performance,and heading tracking performance improve by 55.68%,34.26%,and 52.41%,respectively,in the double-lane change maneuver,and increase by 87.79%,30.18%,and 9.68%,respectively,in the ramp maneuver. | Yixiao Liang Yinong Li Yinghong Yu Zhida Zhang Ling Zheng Yue Ren | 2021 | Automotive Innovation2021,4,3: | 2 |
| 9 | Effects of Electrode on Resistance Switching Properties of ZnMn_2O_4 Films Deposited by Magnetron Sputtering显示文摘ZnMn_2O_4 films for resistance random access memory(RRAM) were fabricated with different device structures by magnetron sputtering. The effects of electrode on I-V characteristics, resistance switching behavior, endurance and retention characteristics of ZnMn_2O_4 films were investigated. The ZnMn_2O_4 films, using p-Si and Pt as bottom electrode, exhibit bipolar resistive switching(BRS) behavior dominated by the space-charge-limited conduction(SCLC) mechanism in the high resistance state(HRS) and the filament conduction mechanism in the low resistance state(LRS), but the ZnMn_2O_4 films using n-Si as bottom electrodes exhibit both bipolar and unipolar resistive switching behaviors controlled by the Poole-Frenkel(P-F) conduction mechanism in both HRS and LRS. Ag/ZnMn_2O_4/p-Si device possesses the best endurance and retention characteristics, in which the number of stable repetition switching cycle is over 1000 and the retention time is longer than 106 seconds. However, the highest RHRS/R_(LRS) ratio of 104 and the lowest V_(ON) and V_(OFF) of 3.0 V have been observed in Ag/ZnMn_2O_4/Pt device. | 11 | Yanshan, Gaoshan-Two Active Volcanoes of the Volcanic Cluster in Arshan, Inner Mongolia显示文摘The volcanic cluster in Arshan, Inner Mongolia, is located in the west of the middle section of the Da Hinggan Mountains. There are more than forty Cenozoic volcanoes among which the Yanshan Volcano and Gaoshan Volcano are the active ones in broad sense and basaltic central vents. Arshan is a newly found volcanic active region in the Chinese continent. The volcanoes are perfectly preserved and composed of cinder cones, pyroclastic sheets and lava flows. Their cones are grand and the Gaoshan cone is about 362m high, and the depth of the Yanshan crater is about 140m. The pyroclastic sheet is mainly made up of scoria, and the distribution area of scoria with thickness more than 1m is about 27km2. There are two Carbonized_wood sites in the pyroclastic sheet and the 14 C datings indicate ages of 1990±100a B.P and 1900±70a B.P, which are rectified by dendrodating. Basaltic lava flows are uncovered, and they change from pahoehoe in the early stage to aa in the later stage. There are lots of perfect fumarolic cones, fumarolic dishes and lava tumulus in the front zones. The spread of lava flow is controlled by the local topography and its main body flowed northwestwards covering the Holocene rivers and swamp deposits and blocked up the Halahahe river and its branches to create six lava_dam lakes. | 13 | Engineering tailorable TiO_(2) nanotubes for NIR-controlled drug delivery显示文摘Infectious diseases caused by bacteria are a global threat to the human health. Here, we propose a solvent “irrigation” technique to endow TiO_(2) nanotubes (NTs) to precisely modify with functional nanomaterials, and apply them in constructing a near-infrared (NIR) light controlled drug-delivery system for rapid necrosis of bacteria. In this design, the NIR stimuli-responsive functional shell is located on the external tube wall of TiO_(2) NT;the internal tube wall offers sufficient binding sites for drug loading. Using kanamycin as a model drug, we demonstrate that the reactive oxygen species generated in photocatalysis not only controllably release the loaded drug by scissoring the linked chains, but also effectively compromise bacteria membrane integrity by damaging the cell wall. Benefiting from the damages, antibiotics rapidly enter the bacteria and reach ≥99.9% reduction in Escherichia coli colony within only 2 h. Importantly, such a covalently conjugation-based delivery system can efficiently relieve radical-induced inflammation and cytotoxicity.
