1Reaction environment self-modification on low-coordination Ni^(2+)octahedra atomic interface for superior electrocatalytic overall water splitting显示文摘Large scale synthesis of high-efficiency bifunctional electrocatalyst based on cost-effective and earth-abundant transition metal for overall water splitting in the alkaline environment is indispensable for renewable energy conversion.In this regard,meticulous design of active sites and probing their catalytic mechanism on both cathode and anode with different reaction environment at molecular-scale are vitally necessary.Herein,a coordination environment inheriting strategy is presented for designing low-coordination Ni^(2+)octahedra(L-Ni-8)atomic interface at a high concentration(4.6 at.%).Advanced spectroscopic techniques and theoretical calculations reveal that the self-matching electron delocalization and localization state at L-Ni-8 atomic interface enable an ideal reaction environment at both cathode and anode.To improve the efficiency of using the self-modification reaction environment at L-Ni-8,all of the structural features,including high atom economy,mass transfer,and electron transfer,are integrated together from atomic-scale to macro-scale.At high current density of 500 mA/cm2,the samples synthesized at gram-scale can deliver low hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)overpotentials of 262 and 348 mV,respectively.Kaian Sun Lei Zhao Lingyou Zeng Shoujie Liu Houyu Zhu Yanpeng Li Zheng Chen Zewen Zhuang Zhaoling Li Zhi Liu Dongwei Cao Jinchong Zhao Yunqi Liu Yuan Pan Chen Chen 2020Nano Research2020,13,11:12
2LDHs derived nanoparticle-stacked metal nitride as interlayer for long-life lithium sulfur batteries显示文摘Shuttle effect is one of the most serious disadvantages in lithium-sulfur battery which results in poor cycle performance and hinders the commercialization of Li-S battery.To reduce the dissolution of polysulfides into the electrolyte and prolong the cycling stability,nanoparticle-stacked metal nitride derived from layered double hydroxides(LDHs)as an interlayer was inserted between sulfur cathode and separator to confine polysulfides by physical and chemical interactions.Meanwhile,the surface of metal nitride will form an oxide passivation layer.The passivation layer possesses hydrophilic metal-O group and provides a polar surface for strong binding with polysulfide.What’s more,the nanoparticlesstacked structure could immerge and retain electrolyte well,which could enhance the ability of promoting the electron exchange rate.The sulfur electrode with nanoparticle-stacked metal nitride interlayer has an excellent cycle performance owing to the interactions between metal nitride and polysulfides.The battery delivered an initial capacity of 764.6 m Ahg^(-1) and still possesses a capacity of 477.5 mAhg^(-1) with the retention of 62.4% after 800 cycles.Zhen Li Zhaoling Ma Yanyong Wang Ru Chen Zhenjun Wu Shuangyin Wang 2018Science Bulletin2018,63,3:8
3Cellulose-based materials in wastewater treatment of petroleum industry显示文摘The most abundant natural biopolymer on earth, cellulose fiber, may offer a highly efficient, low-cost, and chemical-free option for wastewater treatment. Cellulose is widely distributed in plants and several marine animals. It is a carbohydrate polymer consisting of β-1,4-linked anhydro-D-glucose units with three hydroxyl groups per anhydroglucose unit(AGU). Cellulose-based materials have been used in food, industrial, pharmaceutical, paper, textile production, and in wastewater treatment applications due to their low cost, renewability,biodegradability, and non-toxicity. For water treatment in the oil and gas industry, cellulose-based materials can be used as adsorbents, flocculants, and oil/water separation membranes. 4A new,direct approach toward modeling thermo-coupled fatigue failure behavior of metals and alloys显示文摘The objective of this study is two-fold. Firstly, new finite strain elastoplasticity models are proposed from a fresh standpoint to achieve a comprehensive representation of thermomechanical behavior of metals and alloys over the whole deformation range up to failure. As contrasted with the usual elastoplasticity models, such new models of much simpler structure are totally free, in the sense that both the yield condition and the loading–unloading conditions need not be introduced as extrinsic coercive conditions but are automatically incorporated as inherent constitutive features into the models. Furthermore, the new models are shown to be thermodynamically consistent, in a further sense that both the specific entropy function and the Helmholtz free energy function may be presented in explicit forms, such that the thermodynamic restriction stipulated by Clausius–Duhem inequality for the intrinsic dissipation may be identically satisfied. Secondly, it is then demonstrated that the thermo-coupled fatigue failure behavior under combined cyclic changes of stress and temperature may be derived as direct consequences from the new models. This novel result implies that the new model can directly characterize the thermo-coupled fatigue failure behavior of metals and alloys, without involving any usual damage-like variables as well as any ad hoc additional criteria for failure. In particular, numerical examples show that, under cyclic changes of temperature, the fatigue characteristic curve of fatigue life versus temperature amplitude may be obtained for the first time from model prediction both in the absence and in the presence of stress. 5Low molecular weight heparin reduces arterial blood lactic acid content and increases estimated glomerular filtration rate in patients with moderate Covid-19 pneumonia显示文摘Background:Coronavirus disease 2019(Covid-19)remains a serious health threat worldwide.We aimed to investigate whether low molecular weight heparin(LMWH)can promote organ function recovery in moderate Covid-19 pneumonia patients.Methods:We initiated an LMWH protocol in Covid-19 patients with increased D-dimer,body mass index>30 kg/m^(2) or a history of diabetes from January 18,2020 at Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center.In this retrospective study,we assigned moderate Covid-19 pneumonia patients admitted between January 18th and April 18,2020 receiving the LMWH protocol to the LMWH group.Moderate patients who met the inclusion criteria but did not receive LMWH protocol were included in the control group by 1:2 propensity score matching.General clinical information,indicators for renal function,arterial blood gas analyses,arterial blood lactic acid content(mmol/L),and coagulation indexes at 0 day,3 days,7 days,and 11 days after admission were recorded and compared between the two groups.Results:There were 41 patients in the LMWH group and 82 patients in the control group.General information in both groups were similar.Compared to the control group,the arterial blood lactic acid content(mmol/L)at day 11(1.3[1.1,1.7]vs.1.2[0.9,1.3],P=0.016)was reduced in the LMWH group.The estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)in the LMWH group was higher than that in the control group at day 7(108.54[89.11,128.17]vs.116.85[103.39,133.47],P=0.039)and day 11(113.74[94.49,126.34]vs.128.31[112.75,144.12],P=0.003).The serum creatinine levels(Scr)in the LMWH group were lower than that in the control group at day 7(62.13[51.47,77.64]vs.55.49[49.50,65.75],P=0.038)and day 11(63.35[50.17,75.73]vs.51.62[44.62,61.24],P=0.005).Conclusions:LMWH treatment can reduce arterial blood lactic acid levels and improve eGFR in moderate Covid-19 pneumonia patients.Randomized controlled trials are warranted to further investigate this issue.Li Ma Yigang Zeng Bing ZhaoL ili Xu Jian Li Tongyu Zhu Enqiang Mao 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,6:3

9Product design on the basis of fuzzy quality function deployment显示文摘In the implementation of quality function deployment (QFD),the determination of the target values of engineering characteristics is a complex decision process with multiple variables and multiple objectives that should trade off,and optimize all kinds of conflicts and constraints.A fuzzy linear programming model (FLP) is proposed.On the basis of the inherent fuzziness of QFD system,triangular fuzzy numbers are used to represent all the relationships and correlations,and then,the functional relationships between the customer needs and engineer- ing characteristics and the functional correlations among the engineering characteristics are determined with the information in the house of quality (HoQ) fully used.The fuzzy linear programming (FLP) model aims to find the optimal target values of the engineering characteristics to maximize the customer satisfaction.Finally,the proposed method is illustrated by a numerical example.Li Zhaoling Gao Qisheng Zhang Dongling 2008Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2008,19,6:2
10Particulate matter 2.5 triggers airway inflammation and bronchial hyperresponsiveness in mice by activating the SIRT2-p65 pathway显示文摘Exposure to particulate matter 2.5(PM2.5)potentially triggers airway inflammation by activating nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB).Sirtuin 2(SIRT2)is a key modulator in inflammation.However,the function and specific mechanisms of SIRT2 in PM2.5-induced airway inflammation are largely understudied.Therefore,this work investigated the mechanisms of SIRT2 in regulating the phosphorylation and acetylation of p65 influenced by PM2.5-induced airway inflammation and bronchial hyperresponsiveness.Results revealed that PM2.5 exposure lowered the expression and activity of SIRT2 in bronchial tissues.Subsequently,SIRT2 impairment promoted the phosphorylation and acetylation of p65 and activated the NF-κB signaling pathway.The activation of p65 triggered airway inflammation,increment of mucus secretion by goblet cells,and acceleration of tracheal stenosis.Meanwhile,p65 phosphorylation and acetylation,airway inflammation,and bronchial hyperresponsiveness were deteriorated in SIRT2 knockout mice exposed to PM2.5.Triptolide(a specific p65 inhibitor)reversed p65 activation and ameliorated PM2.5-induced airway inflammation and bronchial hyperresponsiveness.Our findings provide novel insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying the toxicity of PM2.5 exposure.Triptolide inhibition of p65 phosphorylation and acetylation could be an effective therapeutic approach in averting PM2.5-induced airway inflammation and bronchial hyperresponsiveness.Manling Liu Zhaoling Shi Yue Yin Yishi Wang Nan Mu Chen Li Heng Ma Qiong Wang 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,5:2
11Lipocalin-2-induced proliferative endoplasmic reticulum stress participates in Kawasaki disease-related pulmonary arterial abnormalities显示文摘Clinical cases have reported pulmonary arterial structural and functional abnormalities in patients with Kawasaki disease(KD);however,the underlying mechanisms are unclear.In this study,a KD rat model was established via the intraperitoneal injection of Lactobacillus casei cell wall extract(LCWE).The results showed that pulmonary arterial functional and structural abnormalities were observed in KD rats.Furthermore,proliferative endoplasmic reticulum stress(ER stress)was observed in the pulmonary arteries of KD rats.Notably,the level of lipocalin-2(Lcn 2),a trigger factor of inflammation,was remarkably elevated in the plasma and lung tissues of KD rats;increased Lcn 2 levels following LCWE stimulation may result from polymorphonuclear neutrophils(PMNs).Correspondingly,in cultured pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells(PASMCs),Lcn 2 markedly augmented the cleavage and nuclear localization of activating transcription factor-6(ATF6),upregulated the transcription of glucose regulated protein 78(GRP78)and neurite outgrowth inhibitor(NOGO),and promoted PASMCs proliferation.However,proapoptotic C/EBP homologous protein(CHOP)and caspase 12 levels were not elevated.Treatment with 4-phenyl butyric acid(4-PBA,a specific inhibitor of ER stress)inhibited PASMCs proliferation induced by Lcn 2 and attenuated pulmonary arterial abnormalities and right ventricular hypertrophy and reduced right ventricular systolic pressure in KD rats.In conclusion,Lcn 2 remarkably facilitates proliferative ER stress in PASMCs,which probably accounts for KD-related pulmonary arterial abnormalities.Zhaoling Shi Yue Yin Chen Li Hui Ding Nan Mu Yishi Wang Shanshan Jin Heng Ma Manling Liu Jie Zhou 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,6:1
