1The effects of spring-neap tide on the phytoplankton community development in the Jiaozhou Bay, China显示文摘The development of the phytoplankton community was studied in the Jiaozhou Bay during the spring to neap tide in August2001, through three cruises and a 15 d continuous observation. This investigation indicates that diatom cell abundance increasedsharply following the end of a spring tide, from 9 cells/cm3 to a peak of 94 cells/cm3. The dominant species composition andabundance show a quick species sequence from spring to neap tide, and the dominant species at the start phase is Skeletomenacostatum, then changes to Chaetoceros curvisetus, finally it changes to Eucampia zodiacus. Silicate concentration increasesduring spring tide, as a result of nutrient replenishment from the watersediment interface, its initial average concentration inneap tide is 1.39 mmol/dm3 and reached the peak average concentration of 8.40 mmol/dm3 in spring tide. But the nitrogenconcentration dropped due to dilution by the low nitrogen seawater from the Huanghai Sea, its initial average concentration inneap tide is 67 mmol/dm3 and decreased to the average concentration of 54 mmol/dm3 in spring tide. The degree of siliconlimitation was decreased and phytoplankton, especially diatoms, responds immediately after nutrient replenishment in thewater column. Skeletonmea costatum, as one of the dominant species in the Jiaozhou Bay, shows a quicker response tonutrient availability than Eucampia zodiacus and Chaetoceros curvisetus. 2CHEMICAL WEATHERING PROCESSES AND ATMOSPHERIC CO_2 CONSUMPTION OF HUANGHE RIVER AND CHANGJIANG RIVER BASINS显示文摘Rock weathering plays an important role in studying the long-term carbon cycles and global climatic change. According to the statistics analysis, the Huanghe (Yellow) River water chemistry was mainly controlled by evaporite and carbonate weathering, which were responsible for over 90% of total dissolved ions. As compared with the Huanghe River basin, dissolved load of the Changjiang (Yangtze) River was mainly originated from the carbonate dissolution. The chemical weathering rates were estimated to be 39.29t/(km2·a) and 61.58t/(km2·a) by deducting the HCO3- derived from atmosphere in the Huanghe River and Changjiang River watersheds, respectively. The CO2 consumption rates by rock weathering were calculated to be 120.84×103mol/km2 and 452.46×103mol/km2 annually in the two basins, respectively. The total CO2 consumption of the two basins amounted to 918.51×109mol/a, accounting for 3.83% of the world gross. In contrast to other world watersheds, the stronger evaporite reaction and infirm silicate weathering can explain such feature that CO2 consumption rates were lower than a global average, suggesting that the sequential weathering may be go on in the two Chinese drainage basins.LIJing-ying ZHANGJing 2005Chinese Geographical Science2005,15,1:14
3An entransy dissipation-based optimization principle for solar power tower plants显示文摘The entransy theory,which can be used to optimize the heat transfer network of a solar power tower system(SPTS)and improve its energy efficiency,was introduced in this paper.Firstly,the irreversibility of the heat transfer processes in a SPTS was analyzed and the total entransy dissipation equation of a SPTS was derived.Then,two types of optimization problems(reducing the total circulating flow rate or the total heat-exchanging area)of a SPTS were solved with conditional extremum model based on the formulas of total entransy dissipation.Finally,the entransy dissipation-based optimization principle was applied to a simple SPTS without re-heater and a complex SPTS with a re-heater.The results showed that under the chosen calculation conditions the minimum total thermal conductance was 19306.03 W K?1 for a SPTS without re-heater when the total heat capacity rate of heat transfer fluid(HTF)was 3200 W K?1.The minimum total thermal conductance was about 7.9%lower than the value predicted based on the typical outlet temperature of a receiver.This meant that the total heat exchange area or initial investment could be effectively reduced under the prescribed total HTF circulating flow rate.We also studied the variation trends of the two optimized results including minimum total HTF heat capacity rate and minimum total thermal conductance.The minimum total HTF heat capacity rate decreased with the given total thermal conductance,the minimum total thermal conductance decreased first and then increased with the given total HTF heat capacity rate.We also found that for a SPTS with a re-heater,the mixing temperature and the mixing position of HTF had significant effects on the two types of optimization problems.ZHENG ZhangJing HE YaLing LI YinShi 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,4:11
4Age-related changes of normal adult brain structure: analysed with diffusion tensor imaging显示文摘Background It is known that the brain structure changes with normal aging. The objective of this study was to quantify the anisotropy and average diffusion coefficient (DCavg) of the brain in normal adults to demonstrate the microstructure changes of brain with aging.Methods One hundred and six normal adults were examined with diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). The fractional anisotropy (FA), 1-volume ratio (1-VR), relative anisotropy (RA) and average diffusion coefficient (DCavg) of different anatomic sites of brain were measured, correlated with age and compared among three broad age groups.Results Except in lentiform nucleus, the anisotropy increased and DCavg decreased with aging. Both anisotropy and DCavg of lentiform nucleus increased with aging. The normal reference values of DTI parameters of normal Chinese adult in major anatomic sites were acquired. Conclusions DTI data obtained noninvasively can reflect the microstructural changes with aging. 6Suspended particulate matter in Jiaozhou Bay:Properties and variations in response to hydrodynamics and pollution显示文摘Based on water samples collected and observations of currents, tidal levels as well as turbidities taken, respectively over a period of 15 and 7 d, in southwestern Jiaozhou Bay on August, 2001, it was found that: ( i ) the average content of non mineral component amounted to 87% of the suspended sediment matter (SPM) in Jiaozhou Bay,much higher than in estuaries and bays where turbidity is high and mineral particulates dominates; (ii) in contrast to high turbid bays, SPM was generally coarser than bed deposits and in upper water column than in lower water column in Jiaozhou Bay; (iii) in fair weathers, suspended sediment concentration (SPC) varied regularly within tidal cycles and neap-spring cycles, but the regularity was deformed in storms; and (iv) SPC was controlled by settling/resuspension near the bed and by advection at the surface at the study site with a depth of 20 m, suggesting weak vertical exchanges. 7Thermal analysis of a solar parabolic trough receiver tube with porous insert optimized by coupling genetic algorithm and CFD显示文摘In this paper, the heat transfer enhancement in a solar parabolic trough receiver tube with porous insert and non-uniform heat flux condition was investigated. A new optimization method, which couples genetic algorithm(GA) and computational fluid dynamics(CFD) based on Socket communication, was proposed to optimize the configuration of porous insert. After the acquisition of the optimal porous inserts, some performance evaluation criterions such as synergy angle, entransy dissipation and exergy loss were introduced to discuss the heat transfer performance of the enhanced receiver tubes(ERTs) with optimal and referenced porous inserts. The results showed that, for a large range of properties of porous insert(including porosity and thermal conductivity) and Reynolds number, the heat-transfer performance of ERT with porous insert optimized by GA is always higher than that of the referenced ERTs. Better heat-transfer performance can further improve the solar-to-thermal energy conversion efficiency and mechanical property of the solar parabolic trough receiver. When some porous materials with high thermal conductivity are adopted, ERT can simultaneously obtain perfect thermal and thermo-hydraulic performance by using the same optimized porous insert, which cannot be achieved by using the referenced porous insert. In the view of those introduced evaluation criterions, using the optimized porous insert can obtain better synergy performance and lesser irreversibility of heat transfer than using the referenced porous insert. Entransy dissipation per unit energy transferred and exergy loss rate have equivalent effects on the evaluation of irreversibility of heat transfer process. 8SEDIMENT TRANSPORT IN YALU RIVER ESTUARY显示文摘Tidal cycle measurements of tidal currents, salinity and water tempe rature, and suspended sediment concentrations were measured at four stations, to gether with surveys along two profiles short core collection within the Yalu Riv er estuary. Grain size analysis of the three core sediment showed that: 1) the s ediment from B1 to B3 became finer, worse sorting and positively skewed; 2) the diversification of matter origin became more and more evident from east to west; 3) the sediments over the region were of the same origin, as indicated by their similar colors and grain sizes. The data indicated that stratification occurred in the flood season, from upstream to downstream, and a salt wedge was formed. The water column was well mixed, but the longitudinal gradient of the salinity w as larger on spring tide. The results also showed that the dominating mechanism of suspended sediment transport in the Yalu River estuary was T1, T2, T3 and T5. 9Effect of atmospheric precipitation on the dissolved loads of the Dongjiang River,China显示文摘The atmospheric precipitation plays an important role in influencing the river chemistry of the Dongjiang River. The atmospheric contribution to river water is estimated by reference to Cl concentration called Cl ref . The Cl ref of 41 97 μmol/L represents the highest chloride concentration of the rainwater inputs to river water, thus sea salts are responsible for total Cl concentration of the Dongjiang River. According to the principal compositions of precipitation and river water, two approaches sea salt correction and precipitation correction were proposed in order to correct the contribution proportions of atmospheric precipitation on the solutes and to calculate chemical weathering rate. The results reflected that the atmospheric contribution ratios fluctuate from ~5% to ~20% of TDS(total dissolved solids) in the Dongjiang River. As compared with the other world watersheds, the lower dissolved ion contents and high runoff may result in the obvious influence of precipitation on river chemistry in the Dongjiang basin. The major elemental chemistry is mainly controlled by silicate weathering, with the anion HCO - 3 and cation Ca 2+ and Na\++ dominating the major compositions in this basin. The estimated chemical weathering rate of 15 78—23 48 t/(km 2·a) is only 40%—60% of a global average in the Dongjiang basin. 10Landscape Change and its effect on the environment of Daqing City显示文摘In this paper, we will study the temporal-spatial landscape change from 1978 to 2001 in Daqing City, based on the multi spectral scanner (MSS) and thematic mapper (TM) images of remote sensing (RS) of 1978, 1988, 1992, 1996 and 2001. In order to explain the effects of the component change on the whole landscape, we make a statistic analysis about the transfer probability matrix of the component types of the landscape by using the ARCG1IS platform through the overlay analysis of different landscape components. Based on the transfer probability matrix, we calculate the in-transfer ratio, the out-transfer ratio and the contributor ratio of the special transfer process of the main landscape components. The results illustrate that the cultivated-land, grassland, swamp, and alkaline land are the main contributors resulting in the landscape change: the out-transfer ratios of grassland and swamp are much higher than the in-transfer ones;the in-transfer ratio of alkaline land is much higher than the out-transfer one; the in-transfer ratio of the land-lot is always higher than its out-transfer with the highest rate per year, although there is a small difference among the in-transfers and the out-transfers per year. The main landscape changing processes are the salination of cultivated-land, salination or desertification of grassland, salination and degenera tion of swamp. 12不同多巴胺添加量对竹粉/高密度聚乙烯复合材料性质的影响显示文摘受海洋贝类对固体表面超强黏附现象的启发,采用盐酸多巴胺对竹塑复合材料进行增强改性。分别使用多巴胺添加量为0、0.25%、0.50%、1.00%处理了毛竹竹粉,制备出竹粉/高密度聚乙烯复合材料D0、D0.25、D0.50、D1.00。竹粉与复合材料的分析方法包括傅里叶变换衰减全反射红外分析、X射线衍射法、物理力学测试、SEM和接触角法。结果显示:多巴胺可以作为竹粉/高密度聚乙烯体系有效的表面改性剂,不同多巴胺添加量改性后材料的弯曲强度和拉伸强度都有提高。适合的多巴胺添加量是0.50%,材料的拉伸强度和弯曲模量分别提升7.74%、27.78%。不同多巴胺添加量处理的竹粉具备相同结晶结构。多巴胺添加量不同,一定程度改变了竹粉的分子结构。SEM分析显示,D0.50中竹粉分散均匀,与聚乙烯结合最为紧密。多巴胺抑制了竹粉的亲水性能,使得改性竹粉水接触角增大。胡小霞 林健勇 李铭 陈政豪 宋伟 张双保 Chen Zhangjing 2019东北林业大学学报2019,47,8:4
13Magnetic Properties of Heisenberg Thin Films in an External Field显示文摘The magnetic properties of Heisenberg ferromagnetic films in an external magnetic field are investigated by means of the variational cumulant expansion (VCE). The magnetization can be in principle calculated analytically as the function of the temperature and the number of atomic layers in the film to an arbitrary order of accuracy in the VCE. 14Efficacy and brain mechanism of transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation for adolescents with mild to moderate depression:Study protocol for a randomized controlled trial显示文摘Background Depression is a common mental illness in childhood and adolescence,with an incidence of 4%–5%;it can lead to impairments in learning and social functioning.Transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation(taVNS)is a commonly used method of auricular acupuncture point stimulation,which is regarded as an effective treatment for adults with depression.The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy and mechanism of taVNS for adolescents with mild to moderate depression.Methods This randomized controlled clinical trial will include 120 patients aged 12–16 years,all of whom are diagnosed with mild to moderate depression.Patients will be randomly assigned to a taVNS group and a drug control group(sertraline hydrochloride)at a ratio of 1:1.Patients will be evaluated using the 17‐item Hamilton Depression Scale,Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale,Self‐Rating Depression Scale,Self‐Rating Anxiety Scale,and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scores at baseline,as well as at the 2nd,4th,6th,8th,and 12th weeks.To investigate the underlying neural mechanisms of taVNS treatment from the perspective of the default mode network,multimodal magnetic resonance imaging(MRI;i.e.,structural MRI[sMRI],resting state MRI[rsMRI],and pseudocontinuous arterial spin‐labeled[pcASL]MRI)will be used to compare cerebral images among groups.MRI data will also be collected from 40 healthy volunteers to assess whether the participants exhibit normal development of structural and functional components.Discussion Depression is the most common mental disorder in adolescence.Drug treatment can improve depression symptoms;however,the side effects of drug treatments are often severe.This study proposes a simple physiotherapy that aims to treat adolescents with mild to moderate depression.The mechanism of taVNS in the treatment of depression will also be investigated.The results of this study will provide evidence to guide the application of taVNS in adolescents with depression.Xue Xiao Xiaobing Hou Zhangjing Zhang Ying Li Xue Yu Yanhui Wang Jing Tian Ke Xu 2020Pediatric Investigation2020,4,2:3
15Laterality of brain areas associated with arithmetic calculations revealed by functional magnetic resonance imaging显示文摘Background Asymmetry of bilateral cerebral function, i.e. laterality, is an important phenomenon in many brain actions: arithmetic calculation may be one of these phenomena. In this study, first, laterality of brain areas associated with arithmetic calculations was revealed by functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Second, the relationship among laterality, handedness, and types of arithmetic task was assessed. Third, we postulate possible reasons for laterality. Methods Using a block-designed experiment, twenty-five right-handed and seven left-handed healthy volunteers carried out simple calculations, complex calculations and proximity judgments. T 1WI and GRE-EPI fMRI were performed with a GE 1.5T whole body MRI scanner. Statistical parametric mapping (SPM99) was used to process data and localize functional areas. Numbers of activated voxels were recorded to calculate laterality index for evaluating the laterality of functional brain areas. Results For both groups, the activation of functional areas in the frontal lobe showed a tendency towards the nonpredominant hand side, but the functional areas in the inferior parietal lobule had left laterality. During simple and complex calculations, the laterality indices of the prefrontal cortex and premotor area were higher in the right-handed group than that in the left-handed group, whereas the laterality of the inferior parietal lobule had no such significant difference. In both groups, when the difficulty of the task increased, the laterality of the prefrontal cortex, premotor area, and inferior parietal lobule decreased, but the laterality of posterior part of the inferior frontal gyrus increased. Conclusions The laterality of the functional brain areas associated with arithmetic calculations can be detected with fMRI. 19Full-faradaic-active nitrogen species doping enables high-energy-density carbon-based supercapacitor显示文摘Nitrogen doping is usually adopted in carbon based supercapacitor to enhance its relatively low energy density by providing extra pseudocapacity.However,the improvement of energy density is normally limited because the content of the introduced nitrogen species is not high and meanwhile only part of them is electrochemically active.Herein,we designed and fabricated a class of hierarchical nitrogen-rich porous carbons(HNPCs)possessing not only very high nitrogen content(up to 21.7 atom%)but also fully electrochemically active nitrogen species(i.e.,pyridinic N,pyrrolic N and oxidized N).Especially,in the synthesis of HNPCs,graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3N4)was used in situ not only as a nitrogen source but also as a catalyst to facilitate the polymerization of phenol and formaldehyde(as carbon precursor)and as a template to create the hierarchical porous structure.As electrodes for aqueous symmetric supercapacitor,the HNPCs with full faradaic-active nitrogen functionalities exhibit excellent supercapacitor performance:high energy density of 36.8 Wh/kg at 2.0 kW/kg(maintaining 25.7 Wh/kg at 38 kW/kg),superior rate capability with 78%capacitance retention from 1.0 to 20 A/g and excellent cycling stability with over95%capacitance retention after 10000 cycles,indicating their promising application potential in electrochemical energy storage.This novel carbon material with high-content and full electrochemically active nitrogen species may find extensive potential applications in the energy storage/conversion,catalysis,adsorption,and so on.Wei Wei Zhangjing Chen Yan Zhang Jian Chen Liu Wan Cheng Du Mingjiang Xie Xuefeng Guo 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,9:2
