1索伦缝合带中的印支期伸展作用:中国内蒙古苏尼特左旗变质核杂岩(英文)显示文摘根据对内蒙古苏尼特左旗地区的野外研究 ,我们将以前描述的交其尔逆冲断层重新解释为一南倾的伸展拆离断层。该断层为一印支期变质核杂的主拆离断层 ,它叠加在缩短的阿尔泰和满洲里带间的晚古生代索伦缝合带上。变质核杂岩的组成要素包括 :下盘的古生代中期和二叠—三叠纪侵入体 (分别是宝底道和哈拉图岩体 ) ,交其尔拆离断层之下、叠加在下盘岩体上的糜棱岩状剪切带 ,拆离断层本身和上盘成分多变、构造复杂的古生代和元古宙岩石。从U Pb年龄为 2 5 2Ma的糜棱岩化哈拉图岩体中获得白云母 ,其40 Ar/ 3 9Ar冷却年龄为 2 2 4Ma和 2 0 8Ma ,而后伸展沉积的下、中侏罗统沉积在下盘之上 ,表明变质核杂岩形成于印支期 ,即晚三叠世至侏罗纪最早期。研究区内 ,北东东走向的交其尔拆离断层的伸展作用方向大致为 2 15°。这是索伦缝合带内首次发现的印支期伸展作用 ,结合分隔遥远的中国各地区 ,如大别—苏鲁缝合带、西藏高原羌塘变质带和东阿尔金山区近来报道的其它一些晚三叠—早侏罗世 (约 2 2 0~ 190Ma)沿韧性拆离断层的伸展作用实例 。Gregory A. 2The Relationship between Glucose Excursion and Cognitive Function in Aged Type 2 Diabetes Patients显示文摘Objective Evidence suggests that type 2 diabetes (T2DM) is associated with an increased risk of dementia and that glucose variability is an independent risk factor for diabetic complications.This study investigated the relationship between glucose excursion and cognitive function in aged T2DM patients.Methods A total of 248 aged T2DM patients wore a continuous glucose monitoring system (CGMS) for 3 days in order to evaluate glucose excursion,including mean amplitude of glycemic excursions (MAGE) and mean of daily difference (MODD).All subjects were evaluated with a number of accepted cognitive function tests,including themini‐mental status examination (MMSE).The relationship between MAGE and MODD and performance on these cognitive tests was assessed.Results The MAGE and MMSE score were negatively correlated,likewise with the correlation between MODD and MMSE.Liner multivariate regression analysis showed that MAGE and MODD were also negatively related to MMSE independent of age,sex,glycemic control,hypertension,smoking,or coronary heart disease history.Conclusion Glucose excursion is related to cognitive function in aged T2DM patients.Elevated glucose excursion decreased the MMSE score,which reflects general cognitive function.Thus,therapy aimed at controlling glucose excursion may be beneficial for maintaining cognitive function in aged T2DM patients.ZHONG Yuan ZHANG Xiao Yan MIAO Ya ZHU Jie Hua YAN Hong WANG Bei Yun JIN Jun HU Ting Jun JIA Wei Ping 2012Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,1:34
3Cancer incidence and patient survival rates among the residents in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai between 2002 and 2006显示文摘With the growing threat of malignancy to health,it is necessary to analyze cancer incidence and patient survival rates among the residents in Pudong New Area of Shanghai to formulate better cancer prevention strategies.A total of 43,613 cancer patients diagnosed between 2002 and 2006 were recruited from the Pudong New Area Cancer Registry.The incidence,observed survival rate,and relative survival rate of patients grouped by sex,age,geographic area,and TNM stage were calculated using the Kaplan-Meier,life table,and Ederer II methods,respectively.Between 2002 and 2006,cancer incidence in Pudong New Area was 349.99 per 100,000 person-years,and the 10 most frequently diseased sites were the lung,stomach,colon and rectum,liver,breast,esophagus,pancreas,brain and central nervous system,thyroid,and bladder.For patients with cancers of the colon and rectum,breast,thyroid,brain and central nervous system,and bladder,the 5-year relative survival rate was greater than 40%,whereas patients with cancers of the liver and pancreas had a 5-year relative survival rate of less than 10%.The 1-year to 5-year survival rates for patients grouped by sex,age,geographic area,and TNM stage differed significantly(all P<0.001).Our results indicate that cancer incidence and patient survival in Pudong New Area vary by tumor type,sex,age,geographic area,and TNM stage.Xiao-Pan Li Guang-Wen Cao Qiao Sun Chen Yang Bei Yan Mei-Yu Zhang Yi-Fei Fu Li-Ming Yang 2013Chinese Journal of Cancer2013,32,9:27
4MSM and HIV/AIDS in China显示文摘This article profiles current status of spread and control of HIV/AIDS in China. China has a significant population of MSM (men who have sex with men) and they have been becoming very much alive in many ways since 1990s due to recent social changes. Some surveys indicate that great many of MSM are engaged in high-risk behaviors. In addition, majority of MSM have also experienced sexual encounters with women sometimes in their lives, which possibly con- tribute to spread of HIV to women. Some reports documented that HIV is becoming rampant among MSM since more than 1% of them are now infected. Political, cultural and custom elements could hinder intervention activities against HIV spread among MSM. Fortunately, many cities in China have seen that MSM were in cooperation with responsible institutions carrying out certain intervention measures. The general situation is promising. 5Notch signaling mediated by TGF-β/Smad pathway in concanavalin A-induced liver fibrosis in rats显示文摘AIM To explore the exact interaction between Notch and transforming growth factor(TGF)-β signaling in liver fibrosis. METHODS We established a rat model of liver fibrosis induced by concanavalin A. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs) were isolated from the modeled rats, and cultured with γ-secretase inhibitor DAPT and TGF-β inhibitor for 24 h. The m RNA levels of Notch and TGF-β signaling were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. Expression of Notch and TGF-β proteins was analyzed by western blotting.RESULTS Compared to control rats, Notch and TGF-β signaling was activated in PBMCs of model rats. Administration of DAPT and TGF-β inhibitor suppressed Notch and TGF-β signal transducer in PBMCs of model rats. DAPT reduced m RNA and protein expression of TGF-β signaling, such as TGF-β1 and Smad3. TGF-β inhibitor also downregulated Notch1, Hes1 and Hes5, and m RNA and protein expression of the Notch signaling pathway.CONCLUSION Notch and TGF-β signaling play a role in liver fibrosis. 6Experimental study of therapeutic efficacy of Baicalin in rats with severe acute pancreatitis显示文摘AIM: To observe the therapeutic efficacy of Baicalin in rats with severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) and explore its therapeutic mechanisms.METHODS: The SAP rat models were randomly divided into the model control group, Baicalin treatment group, octreotide treatment group and sham operation group. All groups were randomly subdivided into 3 h, 6 h and 12 h groups with 15 rats in each group. The survival, ascites volume and pathological changes of pancreas in all rats were observed at different time points after operation. The plasma amylase content and serum TNF-α, IL-6, malonaldehyde (MDA) and PLA2 contents were also determined. RESULTS: The survival was not obviously different between the treated groups, and was significantly higher in treated groups at 12 h compared to the model control group (P < 0.05, 15 vs 10). The ascites/body weight ratio at 3 h and 6 h was significantly lower in Baicalin treatment group compared to the model control group and octreotide treatment group (P < 0.05, 1.00 vs 2.02 and 1.43 and P < 0.001, 2.29 (1.21) vs 2.70 (0.80) and 2.08 (2.21), respectively). The contents of amylase, TNF-α, IL-6, MDA and PLA2 were significantly lower in the treated groups than in the model control group (P < 0.05, 4342 vs 5303, 5058 vs 6272 in amylase, P < 0.01, 21.90 vs 36.30, 23.80 vs 39.70, 36 vs 54.35 in MDA and 56.25 vs 76.10 in PlA2, or P < 0.001, 65.10 and 47.60 vs 92.15 in TNF-α, 3.03 vs 5.44, 2.88 vs 6.82, 2.83 vs 5.36 in IL-6, respectively). The pathological scores of pancreas in the treated groups were significantly lower than that in the model control group (P < 0.05, 9.00 vs 10.05, 6.00 vs 9.00, 8.00 vs 10.05), but no marked difference was found between the treated groups. CONCLUSION: The Baicalin injection has significant therapeutic effects on SAP rats, its effects are similar to those of octreotide. 7Comparative efficacy of various exercise interventions on cognitive function in patients with mild cognitive impairment or dementia:A systematic review and network meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Exercise is a promising nonpharmacological therapy for cognitive dysfunction,but it is unclear which type of exercise is most effective.The objective of this study was to compare and rank the effectiveness of various exercise interventions on cognitive function in patients with mild cognitive impairment(MCI)or dementia and to examine the effects of exercise on the symptoms relevant to cognitive impairment.Methods:We searched PubMed,Web of Science,Embase,Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,SPORTDiscus,and PsycInfo through September 2019 and included randomized controlled trials that examined the effectiveness of exercise interventions in patients with MCI or dementia.Primary outcomes included global cognition,executive cognition,and memory cognition.Secondary outcomes included activities of daily living,neuropsychiatric symptoms,and quality of life.Pairwise analyses and network meta-analyses were performed using a random effects model.Results:A total of 73 articles from 71 trials with 5606 participants were included.All types of exercise were effective in increasing or maintaining global cognition,and resistance exercise had the highest probability of being the most effective intervention in slowing the decrease in global cognition(standard mean difference(SMD)=1.05,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.56-1.54),executive function(SMD=0.85,95%CI:0.21-1.49),and memory function(SMD=0.32,95%CI:0.01-0.63)in patients with cognitive dysfunction.Subgroup analyses for patients with MCI revealed different effects,and multicomponent exercise was most likely to be the optimal exercise therapy for preventing the decline of global cognition(SMD=0.99,95%CI:0.44-1.54)and executive function(SMD=0.72,95%CI:0.06-1.38).However,only resistance exercise showed significant effects on memory function for patients with MCI(SMD=0.35,95%CI:0.01-0.69).Exercise interventions also showed various effects on the secondary outcomes.Conclusion:Resistance exercise has the highest probability of being the optimal exercise type for slowing cognitive declin e in patients withcognitive dysfunction,especially in patients with dementia.Multicomponent exercise tends to be most effective in protecting global cognition and executive function in patients with MCI.Xiuxiu Huang Xiaoyan Zhao Bei Li Ying Cai Shifang Zhang Qiaoqin Wan Fang Yu 2022Journal of Sport and Health Science2022,11,2:19
8Serum and ascites levels of macrophage migration inhibitory factor, TNF-α and IL-6 in patients with chronic virus hepatitis B and hepatitis cirrhosis显示文摘Objective: To study the potential role of macrophagemigration inhibitory factor (MIF), tumor necrosisfactor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in thedevelopment of chronic virus hepatitis B (CH) andhepatitis cirrhosis (HC).Methods: The serum concentrations of MIF, TNF-αand IL-6 in 18 patients with chronic virus hepatitis Band in 14 patients with hepatitis cirrhosis without as-citic fluid, and the serum and ascites cytokine con-centrations in 22 HC patients with ascitic fluid weredetected by enzyme linked immunity sorbed assay.Results: The cytokine concentrations of the patientswere significantly higher than those of the controls.The serum levels of MIF, TNF-α and IL-6 of the 22patients with ascitic fluid were higer than those of 14HC patients without ascites. In the 18 patients withCH, the serum cytokine concentrations were the low-est. The serum cytokine concentrations of the 22 HCpatients with ascites were significantly higher thanthose of the 14 HC patients without ascites (P<0. 01). Their serum cytokine concentrations were sig-nificantly higher than those in the 18 patients withCH (P<0. 01). The concentration of IL-6 in asciteswas the highest among all the groups. 14Induction of apoptosis by artemisinin relieving the severity of inflammation in caerulein-induced acute pancreatitis显示文摘AIM:To observe the apoptosis and oncosis of pancreatic acinar cells and secondary inflammatory reaction in pancreatic tissue from rats with acute pancreatitis(AP),and the influences of artemisinin on them.METHODS:AP was induced by 4 intraperitoneal injections of caerulein at 1 h intervals.To induce apoptosis,solution of artemisinin(50 mg/kg)was given intraperitoneally 1,12,24 and 36 h after the last caerulein injection.Histological examination of impairment of pancreatic tissue and detection of serum amylase were performed to evaluate the severity of acute pancreatitis.Apoptosis and oncosis were detected with acridine orange(AO)and ethylene dibromide(EB)staining.Caspase-3 and myeloperoxidase(MPO)activity were measured by colorimetric assay.Nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)activation was detected by flow cytometry.Macrophage inflammatory protein-1α(MIP-1α)protein was measured by Western blot.Interleukin-1β(IL-1β)mRNA was detected by RT-PCR.RESULTS:Addition of artemisinin increased the number of apoptotic cells(11.7% ± 1.4% vs 6.3% ± 0.7%,P < 0.05),while reduced the number of oncotic cells(13.0% ± 2.4% vs 17.5% ± 2.2%,P < 0.05).The activity of caspase-3 speeded up(1.52 ± 0.21 vs 1.03 ± 0.08,P < 0.05),the pancreas pathological impairment was relieved(3.0 ± 0.5 vs 4.0 ± 0.5,P < 0.05)and the level of serum amylase decreased(5642 ± 721 U/dL vs 7821 ± 653 U/dL,P < 0.05).The activation of NF-κB(29% ± 4.1% vs 42% ± 5.8%),MIP-1α protein(3.7 ± 0.5 vs 5.8 ± 0.7),MPO(0.52 ± 0.06 U/g vs 0.68 ± 0.09 U/g),IL-1β mRNA(1.7 ± 0.3 vs 2.4 ± 0.4)in the apoptosis inducing group was obviously decreased(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Inducing apoptosis can relieve pathological impairment and inflammatory reaction in AP rats.Ming Zhao Dong-Bo Xue Biao Zheng Wei-Hui Zhang Shang-Ha Pan Bei Sun 2007World Journal of Gastroenterology2007,13,42:14
15Salidroside reduces tau hyperphosphorylation via up-regulating GSK-3β phosphorylation in a tau transgenic Drosophila model of Alzheimer’s disease显示文摘Background:Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is an age-related and progressive neurodegenerative disease that causes substantial public health care burdens.Intensive efforts have been made to find effective and safe treatment against AD.Salidroside(Sal)is the main effective component of Rhodiola rosea L.,which has several pharmacological activities.The objective of this study was to investigate the efficacy of Sal in the treatment of AD transgenic Drosophila and the associated mechanisms.Methods:We used tau transgenic Drosophila line(TAU)in which tau protein is expressed in the central nervous system and eyes by the Gal4/UAS system.After feeding flies with Sal,the lifespan and locomotor activity were recorded.We further examined the appearance of vacuoles in the mushroom body using immunohistochemistry,and detected the levels of total glycogen synthase kinase 3β(t-GSK-3β),phosphorylated GSK-3β(p-GSK-3β),t-tau and p-tau in the brain by western blot analysis.Results:Our results showed that the longevity was improved in salidroside-fed Drosophila groups as well as the locomotor activity.We also observed less vacuoles in the mushroom body,upregulated level of p-GSK-3βand downregulated p-tau following Sal treatment.Conclusion:Our data presented the evidence that Sal was capable of reducing the neurodegeneration in tau transgenic Drosophila and inhibiting neuronal loss.The neuroprotective effects of Sal were associated with its up-regulation of the p-GSK-3βand down-regulation of the p-tau.Bei Zhang Qiongqiong Li Xingkun Chu Suya Sun Shengdi Chen 2016Translational Neurodegeneration2016,5,1:14
16Influence of dexamethasone on mesenteric lymph node of rats with severe acute pancreatitis显示文摘AIM: To study the influence and mechanisms of dexamethasone on mesenteric lymph node of rats with severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). METHODS: The SAP rats were assigned to model, treated or sham-operated groups. The mortality, pathological changes of mesenteric lymph nodes, expression levels of NF-kB, P-selectin, Bax, Bcl-2 and caspase-3 protein and changes in apoptotic indexes in lymph nodes were observed at 3, 6 and 12 h after operation. The blood levels of endotoxin, superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA), and endothelin-1 (ET-1) in blood were determined. RESULTS: SOD content, expression of Bax protein and apoptotic index were significantly higher in the treated group than in the model group at different time points (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). Other blood-detecting indexes and histopathological scores of mesenteric lymphnodes were lower in the treated than in the model group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01 or P < 0.01). NF-kB protein expression was negative in all groups. Comparing P-selectin and caspase-3 expression levels among all three groups, there was no marked difference between the model and treated group. CONCLUSION: Dexamethasone can protect mesen-teric lymph nodes. 17Effects of maize root exudates and organic acids on the desorption of phenanthrene from soils显示文摘The eects of maize root exudates and low-molecular-weight-organic anions (LMWOAs) on the desorption of phenanthrene from eight artificially contaminated soils were evaluated. A significant negative correlation was observed between the amounts of phenanthrene desorbed and the soil organic carbon (SOC) contents (P < 0.01), and the inuences of soil pH and clay content on phenanthrene desorption were insignificant (P > 0.1). Neither maize root exudates nor oxalate and citrate anions inuenced desorption of phenanthrene with the addition of NaN3. A faster phenanthrene desorption occurred without the addition of NaN3 in the presence of maize root exudates than oxalate or citrate due to the enhanced degradation by root exudates. Without the addition of NaN3, oxalate or citrate at dierent concentrations could inhibit phenanthrene desorption to dierent extents and the inhibiting eect by citrate was more significant than by oxalate. 18Numerical simulation of tidal current and erosion and sedimentation in the Yangshan deep-water harbor of Shanghai显示文摘Yangshan near-shore sea area is the multi-island and multi-channel area with strong flow velocity and high suspended sediment concentration. Based on the characteristics of tidal currents, waves, and sediment in the Yangshan area, a two-dimensional numerical model of tidal currents, sediment transport, and sea bed deformation is developed. In the model, the effects of tidal currents and wind waves on sediment transport are considered. According to characteristics of the study area, unstructured grids are applied to fit the boundaries of the near-shore sea area. The results show that the calculated values are in good agreement with the measured data. 19Autophagy-related proteins Beclin-1 and LC3 predict cetuximab efficacy in advanced colorectal cancer显示文摘AIM:To investigate the utility of Beclin-1 and LC3,two autophagy-related proteins,in predicting the cetuximab efficacy in advanced colorectal cancer(ACRC) . METHODS:The data of 85 patients with ACRC treated at the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center from March 1,2005 to December 31,2008 were studied,including 45 cases treated with cetuximab-containing chemotherapy and 40 cases treated with non-cetuximab-containing chemotherapy.Beclin-1 and LC3 expression was evaluated by immunohistochemistry,and KRAS status was evaluated by polymerase chain reaction. RESULTS:Beclin-1 and LC3 expression in ACRC wassignificantly correlated(r=0.44,P<0.01);however,LC3 was more highly expressed in cancerous tissues than in normal tissues(Z=-2.63,P<0.01) .In the cetuximab-containing chemotherapy group,patients with low LC3 expression had higher objective response rates(ORRs) than those with high LC3 expression(52.9%vs 17.9%,P=0.01) ,and patients with low Beclin-1 expression had a longer median progressionfree survival(PFS) than their counterparts with higher Beclin-1 expression(9.0 mo vs 3.0 mo,P=0.01) . However,neither of these predictive relationships was detected in the group treated with non-cetuximabcontaining chemotherapy.Patients with wild-type KRAS had higher ORRs(42.3%vs 9.1%,P=0.049) and disease control rates(DCRs)(73.1%vs 36.4%,P= 0.035) ,and longer median PFS(5.5 mo vs 2.5 mo,P= 0.02) than those with mutant KRAS in the cetuximabcontaining chemotherapy group.Neither Beclin-1(P= 0.52) nor LC3(P=0.32) expression was significantly correlated with KRAS status. 20Therapeutic potential of natural compounds from Chinese medicine in acute and subacute phases of ischemic stroke显示文摘Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability in adults worldwide,resulting in huge social and financial burdens.Extracts from herbs,especially those used in Chinese medicine,have emerged as new pharmaceuticals for stroke treatment.Here we review the evidence from preclinical studies investigating neuroprotective properties of Chinese medicinal compounds through their application in acute and subacute phases of ischemic stroke,and highlight potential mechanisms underlying their therapeutic effects.It is noteworthy that many herbal compounds have been shown to target multiple mechanisms and in combinations may exert synergistic effects on signaling pathways,thereby attenuating multiple aspects of ischemic pathology.We conclude the paper with a general discussion of the prospects for novel natural compound-based regimens against stroke.Bei Zhang Kathryn ESaatman Lei Chen 2020Neural Regeneration Research2020,15,3:14
