2Multi-cycle reconfigurable THz extraordinary optical transmission using chalcogenide metamaterials显示文摘Metamaterials composed of metallic antennae arrays are used as they possess extraordinary optical transmission(EOT)in the terahertz(THz)region,whereby a giant forward light propagation can be created using constructive interference of tunneling surface plasmonic waves.However,numerous applications of THz meta-devices demand an active manipula-tion of the THz beam in free space.Although some studies have been carried out to control the EOT for the THz region,few of these are based upon electrical modulation of the EOT phenomenon,and novel strategies are required for act-ively and dynamically reconfigurable EOT meta-devices.In this work,we experimentally present that the EOT resonance can be coupled to optically reconfigurable chalcogenide metamaterials which offers a reversible all-optical control of the THz light.A modulation efficiency of 88%in transmission at 0.85 THz is experimentally observed using the EOT metama-terials,which is composed of a gold(Au)circular aperture array sitting on a non-volatile chalcogenide phase change ma-terial(Ge2Sb2Te5)film.This comes up with a robust and ultrafast reconfigurable EOT over 20 times of switching,excited by a nanosecond pulsed laser.The measured data have a good agreement with finite-element-method numerical simula-tion.This work promises THz modulators with significant on/off ratios and fast speeds.Tun Cao Meng Lian Xieyu Chen Libang Mao Kuan Liu Jingyuan Jia Ying Su Haonan Ren Shoujun Zhang Yihan Xu Jiajia Chen Zhen Tian Dongming Guo 2022Opto-Electronic Science2022,1,1:1
3Ecological Land Suitability for Arid Region at River Basin Scale:Framework and Application Based on Minmum Cumulative Resistance(MCR) Model显示文摘As an important and typical arid inland region in China,Shiyang River Basin plays an important role in maintaining the sustainable development of eco-environment,whose ecological land suitability restricts the development of the local human activities.Therefore,Shiyang River Basin was selected as the case study,the minimum cumulative resistance(MCR)model and GIS technique were integrated to create land suitability evaluation map.We calculated the MCR value of ecological source and living source,and divided the whole basin into five partitions according to the difference between ecological source and living source,and analyzed the patterns and characteristics of the ecological land suitability evaluation(ELSE)regions,respectively.The results showed that:1)The suitable ecological land includes prohibited development region and restricted development region,which accounts for 15.45%and 23.35%of the total land area of the Shiyang River Basin,respectively.These two regions mainly distributed high altitude region in the southern Qilian Mountain and low altitude region where had high density of rivers.2)The protection of ecological land requires not only conserving existing ecological land but also focusing on ecological buffer belts around ecological sources and improving ecological land service ability.3)Ecological networks should be constructed through artificial planting trees around the boundary of oasis and ecological restoration region.Buffer greenbelts should also be established between optimized development region and ecological restoration region.WEI Wei LIU Congying MA Libang ZHANG Xueyuan XIE Binbin 2022Chinese Geographical Science2022,32,2:0
4Deletion of COM donor and acceptor domains and the interaction between modules in bacillomycin D produced by Bacillus amyloliquefaciens显示文摘Bacillomycin D is a cyclic lipopeptide produced by Bacillus amyloliquefaciens fmbJ.At present,no relevant report has described the combinatorial biosynthesis of bacillomycin D.Due to the strong biosynthetic potential of the communication-mediating(COM)domains,its crosstalk between NRPS subunits has been studied to some extent,but the interaction of COM domain between modules is rarely reported.Therefore,in this study,we conducted the combinatorial biosynthesis of bacillomycin D through the deletion of the COM donor and acceptor domains between the modules and elucidated the interaction between the NRPS modules.The results showed that the deletion of the donor domain between modules 2 and 3 did not affect catalysis by upstream modules,but prevented downstream modules from catalysing the extension of the lipopeptide product,ultimately resulting in mutant complexes that could form linear dipeptides with the sequenceβ-NH_(2)FA-Asn-Tyr.However,the engineered hybrid bacillomycin D NRPSs lacking the donor domains between modules 3 and 4 and modules 6 and 7 could form multiple assembly lines that produced bacillomycin D and its analogs(linear tripeptides,cyclic hexapeptides and linear hexapeptides).In addition,all the acceptor domain deletion strains failed to produce bacillomycin D,only truncated peptides produced by module interruption(except for the acceptor domain deletion strains between modules 3 and 4,which also produced cyclic hexapeptides).In conclusion,deletion of the inter-module donor domains led to a more flexible hybrid biosynthetic system for the production of diverse peptide products;compared with the inter-subunit donor domain deletion strains that could only produce truncated peptides,the former had a greater biosynthetic capacity.Meanwhile,the acceptor domains between modules were an important part of module-module interactions and efficient communication within bacillomycin D synthetase.Ziyan Lv Wenjie Ma Ping Zhang Zhaoxin Lu Libang Zhou Fanqiang Meng Zuwei Wang Xiaomei Bie 2022Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2022,7,3:0
5NUMERICAL MODEL FOR COMPUTING WAVE LOADS ON ARBITRARY SHAPED STRUCTURES显示文摘A Modified Hybrid Element Method (MHEM) for computing wave loads on arbitrary geometric bodies is presented in this paper. The additional unknowns in Mei’s method are eradicated. Water depth varies in space. The MHEM adopts simple functionals to simplify the numerical scheme and the ICCG method to save CPU and storage; thus computing wave loads for a large flow domain or short waves can be carried out on small-sized computers or even microcomputers. 6Numerical Analysis of Wave Forces on Arbitrarily Shaped Multi-Pillars Over Varying Topography显示文摘The modified hybrid element method (MHEM) is utilized to predict and analyze wave forces on arbitrarily shaped multiple bodies. This method can be applied to waves of all water depths, i. e. shallow, intermediate, and deep waters, on slowly varying seabed. The MHEM employs the ICCG method to save CPU and storage, thus the computation of wave forces for large multi-body systems can be carried out on microcomputers. Numerical results of the present method are compared with experimental data and other solutions. It is shown that the MHEM provides more accurate solutions of the wave forces than other numerical methods do.
