| 3 | Development of a redundant anthropomorphic hydraulically actuated manipulator with a roll-pitch-yaw spherical wrist显示文摘The demand for redundant hydraulic manipulators that can implement complex heavy-duty tasks in unstructured areas is increasing;however,current manipulator layouts that remarkably differ from human arms make intuitive kinematic operation challenging to achieve.This study proposes a seven-degree-of-freedom(7-DOF)redundant anthropomorphic hydraulically actuated manipulator with a novel roll-pitch-yaw spherical wrist.A hybrid series-parallel mechanism is presented to achieve the spherical wrist design,which consists of two parallel linear hydraulic cylinders to drive the yaw/pitch 2-DOF wrist plate connected serially to the roll structure.Designed as a 1R£RRR-1S£U mechanism(“R”,“P”,“S”,and“U”denote revolute,prismatic,spherical,and universal joints,respectively;the underlined letter indicates the active joint),the 2-DOF parallel structure is partially decoupled to obtain simple forward/inverse kinematic solutions in which a closed-loop subchain“R£RR”is included.The 7-DOF manipulator is then designed,and its third joint axis goes through the spherical center to obtain closed-form inverse kinematic computation.The analytical inverse kinematic solution is drawn by constructing self-motion manifolds.Finally,a physical prototype is developed,and the kinematic analysis is validated via numerical simulation and test results. | Min CHENG Zenan HAN Ruqi DING Junhui ZHANG Bing XU | 2021 | Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2021,16,4: | 5 |
| 4 | Ultrathin, flexible, and high-strength Ni/Cu/metallic glass/Cu/Ni composite with alternate magneto-electric structures for electromagnetic shielding显示文摘Electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding materials with ultrathin,flexible,superior mechanical and thermal management properties are highly desirable for smart and wearable electronics.Here,ultrathin and flexible Ni/Cu/metallic glass/Cu/Ni(Ni/Cu/MG)multilayer composite with alternate magnetic and electrical structures was designed via facial electroless plating of Cu and Ni on an Fe-based metallic glass.The resultant 0.02 mm-thick Ni/Cu/MG composite displays a superior EMI shielding effectiveness(EMI SE)of 35 dB and a great EMI SE/t of 1750 dB/mm,which is greater than those of composites with monotonous multilayer or homogeneous structures.The improved EMI SE originates from the massive ohmic losses,the enhanced internal reflection/absorption,and the abundant interfacial polarization loss.Particularly,Ni/Cu/MG exhibits a high tensile strength of up to 1.2 GPa and outstanding mechanical stability,enabling the EMI SE remains unchanged after 10,000 times of bending.Moreover,Ni/Cu/MG has excellent Joule heating characteristics and thermal stability,which is very suitable for heating components of wearable hyperthermia devices. | Zenan Ma Jiawei Li Jijun Zhang Aina He Yaqiang Dong Guoguo Tan Mingqiang Ning Qikui Man Xincai Liu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,22: | 3 |
| 5 | Predicting the Transition between Upper and Lower Bainite via a Gibbs Energy Balance Approach显示文摘The transition temperature between upper bainite and lower bainite is calculated with an extended Gibbs energy balance model, which is able to quantitatively describe the evolution of carbon supersaturation within bainitic ferrite sheaves during the entire thickening process. The nucleation rate of intra-lath cementite precipitation on a dislocation is calculated based on of the degree of carbon supersaturation.Upper bainite and lower bainite are thus distinguished by the effective nucleation density and therefore a numerical criterion can be set to define the transition. The model is applied to Fe-xC-1Mn/2Mn/1 Mo ternary alloys. Results show that the transition temperature increases with bulk carbon content at lower carbon concentration but decreases in the higher carbon region. This prediction agrees very well with the experimental observations in Mn and Mo alloyed systems. Moreover, the highest transition temperature and the carbon content at which it occurs in the Fe-xC-2Mn system are in good agreement with reported experimental data. The inverse 'V' shaped character of the carbon concentration–transition temperature curve indicates two opposite physical mechanisms operating at the same time. | 6 | Design Fe-based Eutectic Medium-Entropy Alloys Fe_2NiCrNb_x显示文摘High-entropy alloys have attracted broad research interests due to their unique and intriguing mechanical properties. As a category of high-entropy alloys, eutectic high-entropy alloys combine the advantages of eutectic and high-entropy alloys, with excellent mechanical properties and casting properties. Some eutectic high-entropy alloys have been developed and shown exciting properties. In this paper, based on the physical metallurgy of eutectic high-entropy alloy, medium-entropy alloy Fe_(2)NiCrNb_(x) was designed. The as-cast alloy is composed of FCC and Laves phases, Nb element promotes the formation of primary Laves phase, and the hardness of the alloy increases with the increase in Nb element. Among the four alloys, the eutectic chemical composition at eutectic point is Fe_(2)NiCrNb_(0.34);the alloy has a good strength and plastic balance. The ultimate comprehensive strength is 2267 MPa, and the fracture strain is 30.8%. The experiment data and analyses identified the eutectic points and the excellent mechanical behavior. Moreover, the expensive Co element was replaced by Fe element. | 9 | A multi-step induced strategy to fabricate core-shell Pt-Ni alloy as symmetric electrocatalysts for overall water splitting显示文摘Devising an electrocatalyst with brilliant efficiency and satisfactory durability for hydrogen production is of considerable demand,especially for large-scale application.Herein,we adopt a multi-step consequential induced strategy to construct a bifunctional electrocatalyst for the overall water splitting.Graphene oxide(GO)was used as a carbon matrix and in situ oxygen source,which was supported by the octahedral PtNi alloy to form the PtxNiy-GO precursor.When calcinating in Ar atmosphere,the oxygen in GO induced the surface segregation of Ni from the PtNi octahedron to form a core-shell structure of Ptx@Niy.Then,the surface-enriched Ni continuously induced the reformation of C in reduced graphene oxide(rGO)to enhance the degree of graphitization.This multi-step induction formed a nanocatalyst Pt_(x)@Ni_(y)-rGO which has very high catalytic efficiency and stability.By optimizing the feeding ratio of PtNi(Pt:Ni=1:2),the electrolytic overall water splitting at 10 mA·cm^(-2) can be driven by an electrolytic voltage of as low as 1.485 V,and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)only needs an overpotential of 37 mV in 1.0 M KOH aqueous solution.Additionally,the catalyst exhibited consistent existence form in both HER and oxygen evolution reaction(OER),which was verified by switching the anode and cathode of the cell in the electrolysis of water.This work provides a new idea for the synthesis and evaluation of the bifunctional catalysts for water splitting. | Wenjuan Xu Jinfa Chang Yinggang Cheng Hongqi Liu Jifan Li Yongjian Ai Zenan Hu Xinyue Zhang Yiming Wang Qionglin Liang Yang Yang Hongbin Sun | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,2: | 1 |
