According to the field geological conditions, we analyzed the controlling effect of strata movement by the waste and fly ash backfilling in FMCMB face. Based on the key strata theory, we established the equivalent mining thickness model, and analyzed the action of the bulk factor of backfilling body to the equivalent mining thickness. In addition, we numerically simulated the controlling function of the strata movement by backfilling bodies with differ- ent strength. And the numerical simulation result show that the deformation of stratum and the subsi- dence of surface can be controlled by FMCMB. | 3 | GSDMB promotes non-canonical pyroptosis by enhancing caspase-4 activity显示文摘Gasdermin B (GSDMB) has been reported to be associated with immune diseases in humans, but the detailed molecular mechanisms remain unsolved. The N-terminus of GSDMB by itself, unlike other gasdermin family proteins, does not induce cell death. Here, we show that GSDMB is highly expressed in the leukocytes of septic shock patients, which is associated with increased release of the gasdermin D (GSDMD) N-terminus. GSDMB expression and the accumulation of the N-terminal fragment of GSDMD are induced by the activation of the non-canonical pyroptosis pathway in a human monocyte cell line. The downregulation of GSDMB alleviates the cleavage of GSDMD and cell death. Consistently, the overexpression of GSDMB promotes GSDMD cleavage, accompanied by increased LDH release. We further found that GSDMB promotes caspase-4 activity, which is required for the cleavage of GSDMD in non-canonical pyroptosis, by directly binding to the CARD domain of caspase-4. | 4 | Mitochondrial ROS promote macrophage pyroptosis by inducing GSDMD oxidation显示文摘Disrupted mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation are often associated with macrophage pyroptosis. It remains unclear how these forms of mitochondrial dysfunction relate to inflammasome activation and gasdermin-D (Gsdmd) cleavage, two central steps of the pyroptotic process. Here, we also found MMP collapse and ROS generation induced by Nlrp3 inflammasome activation as previous studies reported. The elimination of ROS alleviated the cleavage of Gsdmd, suggesting that Gsdmd cleavage occurs downstream of ROS release. Consistent with this result, hydrogen peroxide treatment augmented the cleavage of Gsdmd by caspase-1. Indeed, four amino acid residues of Gsdmd were oxidized under oxidative stress in macrophages. The efficiency of Gsdmd cleavage by inflammatory caspase-1 was dramatically reduced when oxidative modification was blocked by mutation of these amino acid residues. With the IEFG technique, the Galerkin weak form is employed to develop the discretized system equations, and the penalty method is applied to impose the essential boundary conditions. The traditional difference method for two-point boundary value problems is selected for the time discretization. | 7 | Establishing eutrophication assessment standards for four lake regions, China显示文摘The trophic status assessment of lakes in diferent lake regions may provide important and fundamental information for lake trophic state classification and eutrophication control. In this study, a region-specific lake eutrophication assessment standard was established through a frequency distribution method based on chlorophyll-a concentration. The assessment standards under the oligotrophic state for lakes in the Eastern plain, Yungui Plateau, Northeast Plain and Mountain Mongolia-Xinjiang regions are total phosphorus of 0.068,0.005, 0.011, 0.005 mg/L; total nitrogen of 1.00, 0.16, 0.37, 0.60 mg/L; Secchi depth of 0.60, 8.00, 1.55, 3.00 m; and CODMn of2.24, 1.00, 5.11, 4.00 mg/L, respectively. Moreover, a region-specific comprehensive trophic level index was developed to provide an understandable assessment method for the public. The results indicated that the frequency distribution analysis based on chlorophyll-a combined with trophic level index provided a useful metric for the assessment of the lake trophic status. In addition, the diference of eutrophication assessment standards in diferent lake regions was analyzed, which suggested that the sensitivities of algae to nutrients and the assessment standard of trophic status possessed significant regional diferences for the four lake ecoregions. | 9 | Effect of Poria cocos Hydroethanolic Extract on Treating Adriamycin-Induced Rat Model of Nephrotic Syndrome显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the effect of Poria cocos(Schw.) Wolf hydroethanolic extract(PHE) against nephrotic syndrome(NS) in rats and to identify the potential active components from PHE. Methods: The high content compounds were isolated and purified by using column chromatography followed by preparative highperformance liquid chromatography(p-HPLC). Forty male Wistar rats with adriamycin(ADR)-induced NS were randomly divided into 5 groups, 8 in each group: model control group, positive control group(with prednisone treatment), PHE low-dose group, PHE middle-dose group and PHE high-dose group. Another 8 rats were recruited as vehicle control group. All rats received the intragastric administration of corresponding drugs or saline for 30 days. During the experimental period, rats' behavior and appearance were observed and recorded daily, and their body weights were recorded weekly. After treatment, 24-h urine samples were collected to evaluate the urine protein and urine creatinine(Ucr); then the rats were sacrificed to collect carotid blood and to determine the levels of serum total protein(TP), albumin(Alb), globulin(Glo), total cholesterol(TC) and cytokine interlukin-4(IL-4). Results: Six acidic components were isolated and identified from the PHE section: pachymic acid, 15α-hydroxydehydrotumulosic acid, trametenolic acid, dehydropachymic acid, 3β-hydroxy-lanosta-7,9(11), 24-trien-21-oic-acid and dehydroeburicoic acid. Compared with the model control group, the urine protein content were significantly decreased in the PHE treatment groups and positive control group(P<0.05), especially PHE middle-dose group(P<0.01). The Ucr values and serum levels of TP, Glo, TC and IL-4 in PHE low-and middle-dose groups were also presented obvious recover tendency as compared with the model control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). However, positive control group and all PHE groups indicated no significant therapeutic effect on raising Alb value, although PHE low-and middle-dose treatment groups showed better outcomes than positive control group(P>0.05). Conclusions: PHE showed an encouraging therapeutic effect against ADR-induced NS in a rat model. | 11 | Bufalin suppresses the migration and invasion of prostate cancer cells through HOTAIR, the sponge of miR-520b显示文摘Bufalin, the major active component of the traditional Chinese medicine ChanSu obtained from the skin and parotid venom glands of toads, has long been known as an anticancer agent. Recent studies show that microRNAs (miRs) are involved in the anticancer activities of bufalin, while long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are known to interact with miRNAs to regulate various biological functions. In this paper, we investigated the possible network related to the antimetastatic effect of bufalin in prostate cancer (PCa) cells. We demonstrated that bufalin (0.05?10 μM) dose-dependently suppressed the proliferation of prostate cancer DU145 and PC3 cells with IC50 values of 0.89 and 1.28 μM, respectively. Furthermore, bufalin treatment significantly suppressed the cell migration and invasion. To explore the role of lncRNAs in the antimetastatic activity of bufalin, we used an lncRNA microarray and found that HOX transcript antisense RNA (HOTAIR) was the most markedly downregulated lncRNA in bufalin-treated PCa cells. Overexpression of HOTAIR counteracted the suppressing effects of bufalin on DU145 and PC3 cells. We then predicted and verified that HOTAIR upregulated FGFR1 expression by sponging miR-520b in PCa cells. In 40 patients with PCa bone metastasis, we used in situ hybridization or immunohistochemical assay to assess the HOTAIR and FGFR1 expression, which revealed that both HOTAIR and FGFR1 expression were significantly higher in bone metastasis tissues than in the primary PCa tissues. In addition, the level of serum HOTAIR was positively associated with the levels of serum bone metabolic markers (CTx, OST, B-ALP and PINP) and may serve as a reasonable biomarker for PCa bone metastasis. | 13 | Associations between individual and environmental factors and habitual physical activity among older Chinese adults:A social–ecological perspective显示文摘Purpose: To examine, within a social–ecological framework, associations between multifaceted individual and environmental factors and habitual physical activity(HPA) among older Chinese adults.Methods: Through a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, a survey instrument assessing various factors underlying 3 social–ecological dimensions of intrapersonal, interpersonal, and community and environmental resources was developed. Using a cross-sectional design, older adults(n = 1580, aged 67 ± 7 years) recruited from 10 communities in Shandong province completed the social–ecological survey of HPA. | 15 | Effects of exergaming on motor skill competence,perceived competence,and physical activity in preschool children显示文摘Background: Few school settings offer opportunities for preschool children to engage in structured physical activity, and only a few studies have been conducted examining exergaming's effectiveness on health outcomes in this age group. This study's purpose, therefore, was to examine a school-based exergaming intervention's effect on preschool children's perceived competence(PC), motor skill competence(MSC), and physical activity versus usual care(recess), as well as to examine gender differences for these outcomes.Methods: A total of 65 preschool children from 2 underserved urban schools were assigned to 1 of 2 conditions, with the school as the experimental unit:(1) usual care recess group(8 weeks of 100 min of recess/week(5 days £ 20 min)) and(2) exergaming intervention group(8 weeks of100 min of exergaming/week(5 days £ 20 min) at school). All children underwent identical assessments of PC, MSC, and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA) at baseline and at the end of the 8 th week.Results: A significant Group £ Time effect was observed for MVPA, F(1, 52) = 4.37, p = 0.04, h2 p= 0.04, but not for PC, F(1, 52) = 0.83, p = 0.37,h2 p= 0.02, or MSC, F(1, 52) = 0.02, p = 0.88, h2 p= 0.00. Specifically, the intervention children displayed significantly greater increased MVPA after8 weeks than the comparison children. Additionally, there was a significant time effect for MSC, F(1, 52) = 15.61, p < 0.01, h2 p= 0.23, and gender effect for MVPA, F(1, 52) = 5.06, p = 0.02, h2 p= 0.09. Although all preschoolers' MSC improved across time, boys demonstrated greater MVPA than girls at both time points.Conclusion: Exergaming showed a positive effect in promoting preschool children's MVPA at school and has the potential to enhance PC and MSC. | 17 | The effects of a bike active video game on players' physical activity and motivation显示文摘Background: Players may not acquire adequate levels of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA) when playing commercial video games.This study's goal was to evaluate the effects of an exercise bike video game played by using a mobile application-based exergame that was designed exclusively to promote participants' MVPA, with additional attention paid to this game's ability to promote greater situational interest.Methods: An experimental design was used with 163 students(aged 20.31 ± 1.30, 18–26 years, 61.3% male), all of whom were randomly allocated into an experimental group and a control group. Physical activity(PA) levels were assessed with Acti Graph GT3X+(Acti Graph Inc., Fort Walton Beach, FL, USA) accelerometers. The situational interest scale was used to evaluate students' situational interest in both groups.Multivariate analysis of variance was conducted to examine the differences between sedentary behavior, PA levels, and situational interest between groups. Regression analyses were also used, with the purpose being to evaluate the strength of the relationship between PA and situational interest.Results: Results revealed that the experimental group had higher degrees of sedentary behavior, light PA, total interest, instant enjoyment,exploration intention, attention demand, novelty, and challenge, whereas the control group received higher scores for MVPA(control 95.01% vs.experimental group 89.94%). | 18 | Effects of Age on Quality of Beef from Qinchuan Cattle Carcass显示文摘Qinchuan cattle are one of the top breeds in China.In the current study,cattle of different ages were used to investigate the effect of age on beef quality.With increasing age,shear force,protein content,hydroxyproline(Hyp) content,redness(a*),and muscle fiber diameter and density significantly increased(P<0.05).On the other hand,cooking loss,water content,lightness(L*),and muscle fiber gap markedly decreased(P<0.05).No significant differences were found in the contents of intramuscular fat,ash,amino acids(AA),mineral elements,and expression level of leptin and FAS(P>0.05).The C16:0 and C18:0 content increased significantly(P<0.05),in contrast to that of C18:1 and C18:2(P<0.05).COLA1 mRNA was expressed at low levels at mon 3 and 9 but markedly increased at mon 12 and 15(P<0.05).Taken together,these observations demonstrate excellent nutritional values of beef from cattle of different ages concordant with their chemical properties;on the other hand,their commercial value correlates more closely with their physical and sensory characteristics. | LI Lin-qiang TIAN Wan-qiang ZAN Lin-sen | 2011 | Agricultural Sciences in China2011,10,11: | 9 |

| 20 | Potato/Maize intercropping reduces infestation of potato tuber moth, Phthorimaea operculella(Zeller) by the enhancement of natural enemies显示文摘The potato tuber moth(PTM),Phthorimaea operculella(Zeller),is one of the most economically significant insect pests for potato in both field and storage worldwide.To evaluate the infestation,reduction of potato yield and the control efficacy for PTM,field tests were conducted in two seasons by intercropping of potato as the host plant with maize as a non-host plant of PTM.Three intercropping patterns were tested,which were 2 rows of potatoes with either 2,3,or 4 rows of maize(abbreviated 2 P:2 M,2 P:3 M,and 2 P:4 M),and the monocropped potato as the control,2 rows of potatoes,without maize,(abbreviated 2 P:0 M).Results showed that the population and infestation of PTM in the 2 P:3 M intercropping pattern was significantly lower than those in 2 P:2 M,2 P:4 M and the monocropping pattern of 2 P:0 M,due to the enhancement of natural enemies.Cumulative mines and tunneling in potato leaves in 2 P:3 M intercropping were significantly lower than those in 2 P:2 M and 2 P:4 M patterns.The population of parasitoids and the parasitism rate of PTM in intercropping pattern of 2 P:3 M were significantly higher than that in intercropping pattern of 2 P:2 M,2 P:4 M and monocropping pattern of 2 P:0 M.We conclude that the potato intercropped with maize reduced the adult and larva populations,and reduced the damage from PTM by enhancing the number of parasitoids and the level of parasitism.The greatest population density of parasitoids and parasitism rate were in the intercropping pattern of 2 rows of potatoes with 3 rows of maize.These data indicate that the host/non-host intercropping patterns can be used as a biological control tactic against PTM by enhancing the density of natural enemies in the agro-ecosystems. | ZHENG Ya-qiang ZHANG Li-min CHEN Bin YAN Nai-sheng GUI Fu-rong ZAN Qing-an DU Guang-zu HE Shu-qi LI Zheng-yue GAO Yu-lin XIAO Guan-li | 2020 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2020,19,2: | 8 |
