1Tomographic imaging of P wave velocity structure beneath the region around Beijing显示文摘The three-dimension crustal and upper mantle structures in the region around Beijing were studied by seismic tomography. We used the P wave arrival times from local and teleseismic events. These events were recorded by 250 stations of the North China Seismic Array and 108 stations of the Beijing Telemetry Seismic Network. 118 869 P wave arrivals from 10 285 local events and 12 189 P wave arrivals from 107 teleseismic events were used in the inversion. We obtained the 3-D P wave velocity structure of the crust and upper mantle with the horizontal resolution of 0.3° in the studied region. The tomographic imaging shows the remarkably heterogeneous velocity variation. The velocity anomalies are in well agreement with the geological structure in the shallow crust. The different relationships between seismic activities and velocity anomalies may imply the different seismogenic structure and mechanism. Beneath the Moho under Taihangshan mountain and Yanshan mountain,we found the high velocity anomalies deep to 120 km and 200 km,respectively. The deep high velocity zone may be explained by the existence of the mountain root under Yanshan mountain. 2Absorption mechanism of carbon-nanotube paper- titanium dioxide as a multifunctional barrier material for lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur batteries attract much interest as energy storage devices for their low cost, high specific capacity, and energy density. However, the insulating properties of sulfur and high solubility of lithium polysulfides decrease the utilization of active materials by the battery resulting in poor cycling performance. Herein, we design a multifunctional carbon-nanotube paper/titanium-dioxide barrier which effectively reduces active material loss and suppresses the diffusion of lithium polysulfides to the anode, thereby improving the cycling stability of lithium-sulfur batteries. Using this barrier, an activated carbon/sulfur cathode with 70% sulfur content delivers stable cycling performance and high Coulombic efficiency (-99%) over 250 cycles at a current rate of 0.5 C. 3cDNA-AFLP profiling for the fiber development stage of secondary cell wall synthesis and transcriptome mapping in cotton显示文摘Cotton fiber strength is mainly determined during the secondary cell wall deposition stage when cel- lulose is synthesized. We obtained cDNA of 20―25 d post anthesis (DPA) fiber from 109 F2 progeny and developed a cotton fiber transcriptome profiling via cDNA-AFLP technology using 37 different primer combinations. The F2 population originated from an interspecific cross between Gossypium hirsutum and Gossypium barbadense. One hundred and thirty-eight absence/presence polymorphic transcript- derived fragments (TDFs), with sizes ranging from 100 bp to 722 bp, were screened. Of these, 75 (53.62%) were polymorphic between the parents of the F2 population. Sequencing the 75 transcripts revealed that 37 of them had been reported to be cotton fiber ESTs. Nine of 75 transcript sequences were homologous to 7 cloned cotton fiber genes, encoding cysteine proteinase, vacuolar H+-pyro- phosphatase, vacuolar H+-ATPase, catalytic subunit, arabinogalactan protein, putative receptor protein kinase PERK1, GIA/RGA-like gibberellin response modulator and cellulose synthase. Some other transcripts may represent new gene fragments in cotton fiber development. Surprisingly, 46 of the 75 transcripts were mapped to a single linkage group. 4Mining cotton fiber strength candidate genes based on transcriptome mapping显示文摘Cotton fiber strength is mainly determined during the secondary cell wall (SCW) thickening stage. In 24―25 days post anthesis (DPA) of SCW thickening stage, cDNA-amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) was carried out to construct fiber transcriptome groups. Based on these groups, cotton fiber strength candidate genes were detected by composite interval mapping (CIM) through quantitative trait locus (QTL) scanning. The mapping population was the interspecific backcross BC1 of Gossypium hirsutum × G. barbadense. One hundred and fifteen BC1 plants were used for group construction with 102 qualified absence/presence polymorphic transcript-derived fragments (TDFs) from G. barbadense, and 78 TDFs were assigned into eight transcriptome groups that gave a total length of 462.63 centimorgans (cM). Two significant QTLs, FS1 and FS2, were detected and explained 16.08% and 15.87% of fiber strength variance, respectively. Of the six TDFs co-segregating with FS1 and FS2, except one encoding an unknown protein, five targeted putative phosphatidylinositol kinase, trehalose-6 phosphate synthase, MADS transcription factor, cellulose synthase-like protein and phenylalanine ammonia lyase, respectively. 6Study on Mechanisms of Cd^(2+) Sorption on Goethite byMicrocalorimetry显示文摘A study on energy changes and mechanisms of Cd sorbed on goethite was performed using the technique ofmicrocalorimetry. The data of the amount of Cd sorption (Aq) and concentration of Cd in equilibrium solution(Ce), and the data of Aq and the heat effect (AH) caused by Cd^2+ sorption on goethite all fitted Langmuirisotherm. The amount of heat released from Cd sorption on goethite increased with the amount of Ce or Aq.The reaction process of Cd sorption on goethite may be divided into five stages and three plateaus, dependingon the variation of enthalpy change (.Hm) of Cd sorption with Aq, which implied three mechanisms ofinteraCtion between Cd and goethite. 7Construction of pcDNA3. 1 (+)tPA expression vector显示文摘Objective To construct a new kind of recombinant vector containing human tissue-type plasminogen activator(t-PA) cDNA for studing the feasibility of enhancing fibrinolytic activity by transplantation of genetic engineering cells. Methods We recombinated human tPA cDNA with expression vector pcDNA3. 1 (+) by using the method of molecular cloning, sequenced the plasmid DNA, and cut the plasmid by using enzymes. Results The plasmid pcDNA3.1(+)tPA was divided into 5.4Kb and 2.0Kb segments respectively by using Kpn 1 and Xba I, into 78bp, 414bp, 622bp, 2.0Kb, and4.2Kb segments respectively by tsing Pst l, into 472bp and 6.9Kb segments respectively by using EcoR I. Sequencing result showed that it is the whole human tPA cDNA.
