| 1 | Non-sequential narrow band imaging for targeted biopsy and monitoring of gastric intestinal metaplasia显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of non-sequential narrow band imaging (NBI) for a better recognition of gastric intestinal metaplasia (GIM). METHODS: Previously diagnosed GIM patients underwent targeted biopsy from areas with and without GIM, as indicated by NBI, twice at an interval of 1 year. The authors compared the endoscopic criteria such as light blue crest (LBC), villous pattern (VP), and large long crest (LLC) with standard histology. The results from two surveillance endoscopies were compared with histology results for sensitivity, specif icity, positive predic-tive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV), and likelihood ratio of positive test (LR+). The number of early gastric cancer cases detected was also reported. RESULTS: NBI targeted biopsy was performed in 38 and 26 patients during the first and second surveillance endoscopies, respectively. There were 2 early gastric cancers detected in the first endoscopy. No cancer was detected from the second study. Surgical and endoscopic resections were successfully performed in each patient. Sensitivity, specifi city, PPV, NPV, and LR+ of all 3 endoscopic criteria during the first/second surveillances were 78.8%/91.3%, 82.5%/89.1%, 72.8%/77.8%, 86.8%/96.1, and 4.51/8.4, respectively. LBC provided the highest LR+ over VP and LLC. CONCLUSION: Non-sequential NBI is useful for GIM targeted biopsy. LBC provides the most sensitive reading. | 5 | Production of Bio-Calcium Oxide Derived from Hatchery Eggshell Waste Using an Industrial-Scale Car Bottom Furnace显示文摘The valorization of eggshell waste as bio-calcium oxide is crucial for pollution prevention and supporting sustainable development.There are several reports on the thermal conversion of eggshell waste to calcium oxide for the partial or complete substitution of natural lime applications.However,this paper reports the thermal decomposition of large amounts of hatchery eggshell waste on an industrial-scale car bottom furnace for the first time.The hatchery eggshell waste was sundried and placed into five stacked trays in the car bottom furnace.The calcination of the eggshell waste was conducted at 900℃ for 3 and 4 h under an atmosphere of air.Both the physical and chemical properties of the eggshell samples and the bio-quicklime products were carefully examined by TGA,SEM,XRD,FTIR,and XRF.The results demonstrate that the purity of calcium oxide in the quicklime products increased from 79%to 87%upon increasing the calcination time from 3 to 4 h.However,the color of the calcined eggshell samples at the surface of the pile was white while the color of the product beneath the surface was black or dark gray.The purity of the calcium oxide of both the black and white calcined samples was 76.4%and 91.5%,respectively.These results indicate the limited efficacy of the car bottom furnace for thermal decomposition of the large amount of eggshell waste to calcium oxide.Additionally,the production cost of bio-calcium oxide is approximately twice the cost of industrial grade lime.For further industrial applications,the furnace should contain the mixing equipment for improving the thermal decomposition of the large pile of eggshell waste.Furthermore,the oil burner system may be used in order to reduce fuel costs. | Ajchara Imkum Putkham Suwanan Chuakham Yuwadee Chaiyachet Tanapon Suwansopa Apipong Putkham | 2022 | Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,4: | 1 |
| 6 | 健康教育和志愿者支持项目在合并2型糖尿病和膝关节炎老年超重患者中的应用效果研究显示文摘目的研究综合健康教育联合乡村健康促进志愿者支持项目在合并2型糖尿病和膝关节骨性关节炎老年超重患者中应用的效果。方法采用两组前后对照类实验研究设计。按照所在地理位置,将符合纳入标准的老年人分为两组,干预组62例,对照组71例。干预组接受综合健康教育联合乡村健康促进志愿者支持项目干预,对照组仅接受综合健康教育。入组时及入组3个月、6个月时对患者结局指标进行评估,包括血糖、膝关节疼痛和活动度、体质量、身体活动能力(起立-行走计时测试)、疲劳、抑郁症状、睡眠质量和生活质量,使用多元方差分析方法进行统计分析。结果共110例患者完成了研究(每组55例)。两组患者在干预6个月后疼痛状况、身体活动能力、抑郁症状、疲劳状况、睡眠质量和生活质量均有改善,差异有统计学意义(P≤0.001);患者疼痛状况、膝关节活动度和疲劳情况存在组间与时间交互效应(P<0.001)。结论针对合并膝关节骨性关节炎和2型糖尿病的老年超重患者的综合健康教育联合健康促进志愿者支持项目有效改善了患者结局,显示了护理专业人员和非专业人员——乡村健康志愿者的作用。应考虑通过实施综合健康教育联合乡村健康促进志愿者支持项目,以改善慢性病患者状况,提高其生活质量。 | Suparb Aree-Ue Inthira Roopsawang Yuwadee Saraboon Phichpraorn Youngcharoen Basia Belza Viroj Kawinwonggowit | 2022 | International Journal of Nursing Sciences2022,9,4: | 1 |

| 9 | Efficacy of xylitol and fluoride mouthrinses on salivary mutans streptococci显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the level of salivary Mutatis streptococci(MS) after rinsing with xylitol, fluoride,and a combination of xylitol and fluoride solutions,compared with distilled water.
