| 1 | Red-emitting YAG:Ce,Mn transparent ceramics for warm WLEDs application显示文摘A series of YAG:Ce,Mn transparent ceramics were prepared via a solid-state reaction-vacuum sintering method.The effects of various Mn^2+–Si4+pair doping levels on the structure,transmittance,and luminescence properties were systematically investigated.These transparent ceramics have average grain sizes of 10–16μm,clean grain boundaries,and excellent transmittance up to 83.4%at 800 nm.Under the excitation of 460 nm,three obvious emission peaks appear at 533,590,and 745 nm,which can be assigned to the transition 5 d→4 f of Ce^3+and 4 T1→6 A1 of Mn^2+.Thus,the Mn^2+–Si4+pairs can effectively modulate the emission spectrum by compensating broad orange-red and red spectrum component to yield high quality warm white light.After the optimized YAG:Ce,Mn transparent ceramic packaged with blue light-emitting diode(LED)chips,correlated color temperature(CCT)as low as 3723 K and luminous efficiency(LE)as high as 96.54 lm/W were achieved,implying a very promising candidate for application in white light-emitting diodes(WLEDs)industry. | Junrong LING Youfu ZHOU Wentao XU He LIN Shuai LU Bin WANG Kun WANG | 2020 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,1: | 15 |
| 2 | Transient temperature field of a friction pair in a HVD device of a belt conveyor显示文摘To show the distribution of a temperature field on a steel disk and to prolong the service life of a friction pair in a Hy-dro-Viscous Drive (HVD) device, a theoretical model of a transient temperature field was established, based on the theory of heat conduction. This theoretical model was solved using a finite element method. The results show that the surface temperature of the steel disk does not increase consistently as a function of the radius; the highest temperature appears short of the maximum radius. The relationship between the surface temperature and the mixed friction time is exponential. With a friction time of 15 s, the tem-perature reached 465.9 °C. Simultaneously, the internal thermal stress is larger than the yield stress of the material, causing a warping deformation of the steel disk. The largest axial deformation is 0.32 mm. The results of the experiment suggest that the de-formation is the same as that obtained from numerical simulation. | 4 | An algorithm for automatic identification of multiple developmental stages of rice spikes based on improved Faster R-CNN显示文摘Spike development directly affects the yield and quality of rice. We describe an algorithm for automatically identifying multiple developmental stages of rice spikes(AI-MDSRS) that transforms the automatic identification of multiple developmental stages of rice spikes into the detection of rice spikes of diverse maturity levels. The scales vary greatly in different growth and development stages because rice spikes are dense and small, posing challenges for their effective and accurate detection. We describe a rice spike detection model based on an improved faster regions with convolutional neural network(Faster R-CNN).The model incorporates the following optimization strategies: first, Inception_Res Net-v2 replaces VGG16 as a feature extraction network;second, a feature pyramid network(FPN) replaces single-scale feature maps to fuse with region proposal network(RPN);third, region of interest(Ro I) alignment replaces Ro I pooling, and distance-intersection over union(DIo U) is used as a standard for non-maximum suppression(NMS). The performance of the proposed model was compared with that of the original Faster R-CNN and YOLOv4 models. The mean average precision(m AP) of the rice spike detection model was92.47%, a substantial improvement on the original Faster R-CNN model(with 40.96% m AP) and 3.4%higher than that of the YOLOv4 model, experimentally indicating that the model is more accurate and reliable. | 5 | Efficient Task Scheduling for Many Task Computing with Resource Attribute Selection显示文摘Many Task Computing(MTC)is a new class of computing paradigm in which the aggregate number of tasks,quantity of computing,and volumes of data may be extremely large.With the advent of Cloud computing and big data era,scheduling and executing large-scale computing tasks efficiently and allocating resources to tasks reasonably are becoming a quite challenging problem.To improve both task execution and resource utilization efficiency,we present a task scheduling algorithm with resource attribute selection,which can select the optimal node to execute a task according to its resource requirements and the fitness between the resource node and the task.Experiment results show that there is significant improvement in execution throughput and resource utilization compared with the other three algorithms and four scheduling frameworks.In the scheduling algorithm comparison,the throughput is 77%higher than Min-Min algorithm and the resource utilization can reach 91%.In the scheduling framework comparison,the throughput(with work-stealing)is at least 30%higher than the other frameworks and the resource utilization reaches 94%.The scheduling algorithm can make a good model for practical MTC applications. | ZHAO Yong CHEN Liang LI Youfu TIAN Wenhong | 2014 | China Communications2014,11,12: | 3 |
| 6 | Modeling a magneto-rheological soft starter for use with belt conveyors显示文摘The theory of magnetic circuit design, the constitutive equations of a magneto-rheological fluid, and the load properties of belt conveyors were used to design a magneto-rheological soft starter test-bed. The magnetic field distribution in the working gap was analyzed and the current-speed relationship was investigated. A mathematical model for the time response was deduced. The results show that a linear relationship between current and magnetic field is seen when the magnetic materials are not saturated and the magnetic field is uniform in the working section. The rotation speed of the driven shaft changes linearly with increasing time. The response is rapid and can be as short as milliseconds. | 7 | Experimental Research on Structural Behaviors of Glulam I-Beam with a Special-Shaped Section显示文摘In order to enhance the bearing capacity of structural components,save materials,and reduce cost,a glued laminated timber(glulam)I-beam that is theoretically suitable for engineering application was proposed.In this study,18 glulam specimens were fabricated using larch dimension lumber and resorcinol-formaldehyde resin.Four-point bending tests were carried out to compare the ultimate bearing capacity,strain,and deflection of various specimens.The results showed that:(1)The typical failure mode at bending is the web shear failure parallel to grain.Before the failure,cracks and sounds appear at the beam web,which represent the sudden brittle failure.(2)The cross-sectional strain of glulam beam changed linearly with the beam height,indicating that the plane section assumption was basically established.(3)Stiffener could improve the initial flexural stiffness of glulam beam,which experiences an increase of 28.21%.Larger the shear span ratio,smaller the initial flexural stiffness.The initial flexural stiffness improves by 10-23.5%with the increase in the thickness of the lower flange.(4)The effects of stiffener and shear-span ratio on shear strength are relatively significant.After the stiffeners are set at the support and the loading point in pairs,the shear strength of the glulam beam increases by 15.05%averagely.With the increase in the shear-span ratio,the shearing strength of the glulam I-beam gradually reduces.The equation of the shearing strength with the shear span ratio is obtained,which is shown by high fitting precision.(5)The shear strength correlation,as proposed by Soltis and Rammer,is suitable not only for rectangular beams,but also for glulam I-beams. | Ruyuan Yang Chaokun Hong Xiaofeng Zhang Quan Yuan Youfu Sun | 2020 | Journal of Renewable Materials2020,8,2: | 2 |
