1Seasonal variation of CO_2 flux and its environmental factors in evergreen coniferous plantation显示文摘The effects of environmental factors on carbon flux were analyzed, the spatial and temporal variation of carbon flux was studied at the two heights of 23 m and 39 m with the eddy covariance technique, and the carbon budget was evaluated for evergreen coniferous plantation in the red earth hilly area during the year 2003. The results showed that photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) and soil temperature are essential factors strongly affecting the net ecosystem exchange (NEE); in the daytime, the response of NEE to PAR shows a rectangular hyperbola trend, and in the nighttime, the significant correlation was observed between soil temperature and soil respiration which was filtered using friction velocity. This ecosystem appeared as a carbon sink along the whole year of 2003, and the carbon flux showed the obvious seasonal fluctuation and diurnal variability. The seasonal peak of NEE occurred in May and June with the daily sum about 0.61-0.67 mg · CO2 · m-2 · s-1. For the severe drought in the mid-summer, the daily sum was 0.40-0.44 mg · CO2 · m-2 · s-1 in July which was only 2/3 of that in the last two months. For the lasted drought of the year, the nadir of NEE happened in the winder with the daily sum about -0.29 to -0.35 mg · CO2 · m-2 · s-1. 2Regulatory Effect of E2,IL-6 and IL-8 on the Growth of Epithelial Ovarian Cancer Cells显示文摘To determine the regulatory effects of estrogen and cytokine IL-6 and IL-8 on the growth of epithelial ovarian cancer (OVCA), we first examined the status of estrogen receptors (ERα and ERβ), IL-6 receptor (IL-6Rα and gp130), and IL-8 receptor (IL-8RA and IL-8RB) on five epithelial OVCA cell lines by semiquantitative RT-PCR and Western blot analysis. Results showed that the expressions of these receptors were variable on the five cells.Those OVCA cells expressing the receptors were selected to study related molecular mechanism. MTT assay was performed to observe the effects of 17β-estradiol (E2), IL-6 and IL-8 on cell proliferation. We discovered that E2 markedly promoted the proliferation of CAOV-3 and OVCAR-3 cell in a time- and dose-dependent manner.Tamoxifen (Txf), an ER inhibitor, completely blocked the proliferation of the E2-induced cells, and IL-6- or/and IL-8-neutralizing antibody only showed partially blocking activity. IL-6 and IL-8 were able to significantly stimulate CAOV-3 and OVCAR-3 cell proliferation in a time- and dose-dependent manner, which had a potential synergistic effect on CAOV-3 cells but not on OVCAR-3 cells. The cell proliferation induced by these two cytokines was abolished completely by their specific neutralizing antibodies, partially by Txf, but not by unrelated goat IgG.Taken together, our results suggested that estrogen, IL-6 and IL-8 could modulate OVCA growth by forming a reciprocal cascade with amplifying effect. 3Wind tunnel experimental study on droplet drift reduction by a conical electrostatic nozzle for pesticide spraying显示文摘Droplet drift wastes pesticide,pollutes the environment,and has become one of the focus issues of agricultural crop protection.Electrostatic spray technology reduces drift to a certain degree.In order to investigate the droplet drift pattern of a conical electrostatic nozzle,the droplet drift mass center distance was defined as an experimental index and used to conduct experimental wind tunnel studies on droplet drift.A mathematical model of the droplet drift mass center distance versus electrostatic voltage and wind speed was created via the regression method.The test results showed that the electrostatic voltage had an insignificant effect on droplet drift,the wind speed and its interaction with the electrostatic voltage had significant effects on droplet drift.When the wind speed was less than 3 m/s and stable,the crop adsorbability of a droplet had a dominant effect on the droplet drift;the droplet drift decreased with the increase of electrostatic voltage.When the wind speed exceeded 3 m/s and was stable,the reduced droplet particle size had a dominant effect on droplet drift,where droplet drift increased as the electrostatic voltage increased.When the wind speed was 0 m/s and the electrostatic voltage was 12 kV,the minimum droplet drift mass center distance was 35.5 mm,which was 56 mm less than that of conventional nozzle droplet drift.Therefore,a conical electrostatic nozzle is inapplicable for operation in an environment where wind speeds exceed 3 m/s.This study provides a reference for optimizing operational parameters of conical electrostatic nozzles and improving the anti-drift capability of droplets.Zhang Wei Hou Yongrui Liu Xin Lian Qi Fu Xiaoming Zhang Bo Wang Haiyang Wang Yingqian 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,3:8
4Design and optimization of seedling-feeding device for automatic maize transplanter with maize straw seedling-sprouting tray显示文摘This research aimed to solve current problems in the process of maize transplanting in China such as large labor intensity,low working efficiency and poor quality.On the basis of the structure of a seedling-sprouting tray made of maize straw and the agronomic requirements of maize production,this study developed a new feeding device for such a sprouting tray,determined the dimensions of the key components in a virtual environment via Solid Edge software and obtained optimal working parameters in combination with Matlab.Some tests on field validation and maize production were conducted as well.The test results showed the importance of the working parameters on an upright degree in descending order(as well as the best working parameters)to be the vertical angle of seedling planting(13.14°),the forward speed of locomotion(0.57 m/s),and the horizontal angle of the seedling box(22.5°).The standard deviation of the field validation was 6.04%,which was within the allowable range to meet the requirements of maize transplanting.Compared with maize transplanting machines(and manual transplanting operations)on the current market,the labor inputs,as well as the rates of spacing and upright degree qualification,omitted planting and the yield using the new feeding device for automatic transplanter with maize straw seedling-sprouting trays increased 0(6.9%),0(3.1%),0(4.5%)and 0(−1.0%),respectively;whereas,the manufacturing cost was reduced by 35.5%.The results can provide a technical basis and reference for subsequent development of automatic transplanters with maize straw seedling-sprouting trays.Zhang Wei Niu Zhaojun Li Lianhao Hou Yongrui 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,6:8
5CsPrx25,a class III peroxidase in Citrus sinensis,confers resistance to citrus bacterial canker through the maintenance of ROS homeostasis and cell wall lignification显示文摘Citrus bacterial canker(CBC)results from Xanthomonas citri subsp.citri(Xcc)infection and poses a grave threat to citrus production.Class III peroxidases(CIII Prxs)are key proteins to the environmental adaptation of citrus plants to a range of exogenous pathogens,but the role of CIII Prxs during plant resistance to CBC is poorly defined.Herein,we explored the role of CsPrx25 and its contribution to plant defenses in molecular detail.Based on the expression analysis,CsPrx25 was identified as an apoplast-localized protein that is differentially regulated by Xcc infection,salicylic acid,and methyl jasmone acid in the CBC-susceptible variety Wanjincheng(C.sinensis)and the CBC-resistant variety Calamondin(C.madurensis).Transgenic Wanjincheng plants overexpressing CsPrx25 were generated,and these transgenic plants exhibited significantly increased CBC resistance compared with the WT plants.In addition,the CsPrx25-overexpressing plants displayed altered reactive oxygen species(ROS)homeostasis accompanied by enhanced H_(2)O_(2) levels,which led to stronger hypersensitivity responses during Xcc infection.Moreover,the overexpression of CsPrx25 enhanced lignification as an apoplastic barrier for Xcc infection.Taken together,the results highlight how CsPrx25-mediated ROS homeostasis reconstruction and cell wall lignification can enhance the resistance of sweet orange to CBC.Qiang Li Xiujuan Qin Jingjing Qi Wanfu Dou Christophe Dunand Shanchun Chen Yongrui He 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:5

7Transcription factor WRKY22 regulates canker susceptibility in sweet orange (Citrus sinensis Osbeck) by enhancing cell enlargement and CsLOB1 expression显示文摘Pathological hypertrophy(cell enlargement)plays an important role in the development of citrus canker,but its regulators are largely unknown.Although WRKY22 is known to be involved in pathogen-triggered immunity and positively regulates resistance to bacterial pathogens in Arabidopsis,rice and pepper,the CRISPR/Cas9-mediated partial knockout of CsWRKY22 improves resistance to Xanthomonas citri subsp.citri(Xcc)in Wanjincheng orange(Citrus sinensis Osbeck).Here,we demonstrate that CsWRKY22 is a nucleus-localized transcriptional activator.CsWRKY22-overexpressing plants exhibited dwarf phenotypes that had wrinkled and thickened leaves and were more sensitive to Xcc,whereas CsWRKY22-silenced plants showed no visible phenotype changes and were more resistant to Xcc.Microscopic observations revealed that the overexpression of CsWRKY22 increased cell size in the spongy mesophyll.Transcriptome analysis showed that cell growth-related pathways,such as the auxin and brassinosteroid hormonal signaling and cell wall organization and biogenesis pathways,were significantly upregulated upon CsWRKY22 overexpression.Interestingly,CsWRKY22 activated the expression of CsLOB1,which is a key gene regulating susceptibility to citrus canker.We further confirmed that CsWRKY22 bound directly to the W-boxes just upstream of the transcription start site of CsLOB1 in vivo and in vitro.We conclude that CsWRKY22 enhances susceptibility to citrus canker by promoting host hypertrophy and CsLOB1 expression.Thus,our study provides new insights into the mechanism regulating pathological hypertrophy and the function of WRKY22 in citrus.Qin Long Meixia Du Junhong Long Yu Xie Jingyun Zhang Lanzhen Xu Yongrui He Qiang Li Shanchun Chen Xiuping Zou 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:5
8Effect of Yiqiyangyin recipe on heparanase and nephrin in rats with adriamycin-induced nephropathy显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To discuss the mechanism of Yiqiyangyin recipe in rats with adriamycin (ADR)-induced nephropathy. METHODS: We randomly divided 30 Sprague-Dawley rats into 5 groups: control, model, glucocorticoid, Chinese herb, and Chinese herb plus glucocorticoid groups. The 24-h urine volume was collected on days 7, 14, 21, and 28 after ADR injection, and all rats were killed on day 28. We measured the 24-h levels of urinary protein, serum cholesterol, and serum triglycerides, and renal function of all rats by using routine biochemical methods. Pathological changes in the rat kidneys were observed under light and electron microscopes. Heparanase (HPA) mRNA expression levels were measured using re-al-time fluorescence-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Urine levels of HPA in all groups were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The expression of nephrin was detected by immunohistochemical staining and quantitatively analyzed using Motic image analysis 3.2 software. RESULTS: The levels of urinary protein and serum triglycerides and cholesterol in rats with ADR-induced nephropathy increased on day 14. The serum albumin levels simultaneously decreased. All the changes reached the peak on day 28. Examination under the light microscope showed inflammatory cells and slight fibroplasia in the renal interstitium in the model group, but fewer inflammatory cells were observed in the intervention groups than those in the model group. Examination under the electron microscope showed extensive fusion of foot processes in ADR rats. HPA mRNA expression was higher in the model group than that in the control group. The HPA mRNA levels in the intervention groups, especially in the Chinese herb group, and Chinese herb plus glucocorticoid group were significantly lower than the level in the model group. The HPA expression levels correlated significantly with the proteinuria level. No significant difference was found in the HPA level in urine between the intervention groups and the model group, whereas the model group had a higher urinary HPA level than the control group. Nephrin mRNA expression levels in the model group were higher than those in the control group. Nephrin mRNA expression levels were significantly lower in the intervention groups than that in the model group, especially the Chinese herb plus glucocorticoid group. Compared with the control group, themodel group showed increased nephrin expression in the kidney. Nephrin levels in the other groups, especially in the Chinese herb plus glucocorticoid group, were significantly lower than that in the model group. The nephrin levels in the kidney were negatively correlated with the proteinuria level. CONCLUSION: Yiqiyangyin recipe could attenuate foot process injury particularly in combination with a steroid reduce the development of proteinuria possibly by inhibition of HPA in the kidney, and regulate the expression of nephrin in rats with ADR-induced nephropathy. 9CitGVD:a comprehensive database of citrus genomic variations显示文摘Citrus is one of the most important commercial fruit crops worldwide.With the vast genomic data currently available for citrus fruit,genetic relationships,and molecular markers can be assessed for the development of molecular breeding and genomic selection strategies.In this study,to permit the ease of access to these data,a web-based database,the citrus genomic variation database(CitGVD,http://gffzz1758061741e3440ch09wkqon6pw9065b0.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/home)was developed as the first citrusspecific comprehensive database dedicated to genome-wide variations including single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)and insertions/deletions(INDELs).The current version(V1.0.0)of CitGVD is an open-access resource centered on 1,493,258,964 high-quality genomic variations and 84 phenotypes of 346 organisms curated from in-house projects and public resources.CitGVD integrates closely related information on genomic variation annotations,related gene annotations,and details regarding the organisms,incorporating a variety of built-in tools for data accession and analysis.As an example,CitGWAS can be used for genome-wide association studies(GWASs)with SNPs and phenotypic data,while CitEVOL can be used for genetic structure analysis.These features make CitGVD a comprehensive web portal and bioinformatics platform for citrus-related studies.It also provides a model for analyzing genome-wide variations for a wide range of crop varieties.Qiang Li Jingjing Qi Xiujuan Qin Wanfu Dou Tiangang Lei Anhua Hu Ruirui Jia Guojin Jiang Xiuping Zou Qin Long Lanzhen Xu Aihong Peng Lixiao Yao Shanchun Chen Yongrui He 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:4
10Cloning and Expression Analysis of Citrus Genes Cs GH3.1 and Cs GH3.6Responding to Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri Infection显示文摘To study the functions of the early auxin-responsive genes Cs GH3.1 and Cs GH3.6 in citrus resistance against canker disease, we cloned Cs GH3.1and Cs GH3.6 in ‘Newhall' Navel Orange(Citrus sinensis Osbeck). They are 1 797 bp and 1 887 bp and encode 598 and 629 amino acids, respectively. In vitro mature leaves from susceptible ‘Newhall' and resistant Calamondin(C. madurensis) were inoculated by a Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri(Xac) bacterial suspension, and expression of Cs GH3.1 and Cs GH3.6 in the two varieties were analyzed using quantitative real-time PCR(q RT-PCR). ‘Newhall' leaves were treated with different hormones for 3 days, inoculated by Xac bacterial suspension, and then the symptoms in these leaves were investigated. We used q RT-PCR to analyze the effect of different hormones on Cs GH3.1 and Cs GH3.6 expression in ‘Newhall'leaves. The expression levels of both Cs GH3.1 and Cs GH3.6 were significantly induced by Xac in ‘Newhall' leaves, compared with levels in Calamondin leaves. 1-naphthy acetic acid(NAA) increased the hypertrophy of infection sites in ‘Newhall' leaves, while naphthyl-phthalamic acid(NPA)had no visible effect on lesion development. NAA hormone greatly improved expression of Cs GH3.1 in ‘Newhall', but not Cs GH3.6. 12CsWAKL08,a pathogen-induced wall-associated receptor-like kinase in sweet orange,confers resistance to citrus bacterial canker via ROS control and JA signaling显示文摘Citrus bacterial canker(CBC)is a disease resulting from Xanthomonas citri subsp.citri(Xcc)infection and poses a grave threat to citrus production worldwide.Wall-associated receptor-like kinases(WAKLs)are proteins with a central role in resisting a range of fungal and bacterial diseases.The roles of WAKLs in the context of CBC resistance,however,remain unclear.Here,we explored the role of CsWAKL08,which confers resistance to CBC,and we additionally analyzed the molecular mechanisms of CsWAKL08-mediated CBC resistance.Based on systematic annotation and induced expression analysis of the CsWAKL family in Citrus sinensis,CsWAKL08 was identified as a candidate that can be upregulated by Xcc infection in the CBC-resistant variety.CsWAKL08 can also be induced by the phytohormones salicylic acid(SA)and methyl jasmonic acid(MeJA)and spans the plasma membrane.Overexpression of CsWAKL08 resulted in strong CBC resistance in transgenic sweet oranges,whereas silencing of CsWAKL08 resulted in susceptibility to CBC.The peroxidase(POD)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)activities were significantly enhanced in the CsWAKL08-overexpressing plants compared to the control plants,thereby mediating reactive oxygen species(ROS)homeostasis in the transgenic plants.Moreover,the JA levels and the expression of JA biosynthesis and JA responsive genes were substantially elevated in the CsWAKL08 overexpression plants relative to the controls upon Xcc infection.Based on these findings,we conclude that the wall-associated receptor-like kinase CsWAKL08 positively regulates CBC resistance through a mechanism involving ROS control and JA signaling.These results further highlight the importance of this kinase family in plant pathogen resistance.Qiang Li Anhua Hu Jingjing Qi Wanfu Dou Xiujuan Qin Xiuping Zou Lanzhen Xu Shanchun Chen Yongrui He 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:3
13The impact of government incentives and penalties on willingness to recycle plastic waste: An evolutionary game theory perspective显示文摘Because governments have introduced policies involving incentives and penalties to promote the recycling of plastic waste,it is important to understand the impact of such incentives and penalties on the willingness of stakeholders to participate.In this study,government is included as a player,alongside waste collectors and recyclers,in a tripartite evolutionary game model of plastic waste recycling.The study explores the evolutionary equilibrium and performs a simulation analysis to elucidate the effect of government incentives and penalties on the willingness of other players to participate in recycling.Three conclusions are drawn from this research.First,an increase in incentives or in penalties increases the probability that collectors and recyclers will participate in the recycling process.Second,policy support incentives encourage collectors and recyclers to participate in plastic waste recycling earlier than subsidy incentives do.Finally,recyclers are more sensitive than collectors to government-imposed penalties.Zhen Wang Jiazhen Huo Yongrui Duan 2020Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2020,14,2:2
14A multifunctional integrated simultaneously online screening microfluidic biochip for the examination of “efficacy-toxicity” and compatibility of medicine显示文摘A multifunctional integrated microfluidic biochip device was engineered to estimate the activity-toxicity and composition principle of medicine in a cell model in vitro. This biochip could be used for disease cells and healthy cells in two modules of 'Yin-Yang' on the same chip for detecting the medicine efficacytoxicity simultaneously, as well as adjust different gradient ratios of concentration through the Christmas tree structure in both 'Yin-Yang' modules autonomously for detecting the best compatibility of medicine in maximum efficacy and minimal toxicity. In the applicability experiment, the best concentration of three chemical compounds including dinatin, diosmetin and cisplatin, were detected using the biochip and traditional 96-cell plate. 16Synthesis of Ultrafine Fe_3O_4 Powder via a Novel Ageing Process显示文摘Ultrafine Fe3O4 powder was successfully synthesized via a novel ageing process from a precursor FeO(OH), which was the hydrolysate of FeCl3 in the urea solution. The structure of as-synthesized powder was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), and the morphology of these nanoparticles was investigated using a transmission electron microscope (TEM). Pure phase Fe3O4 was obtained and the mean diameter of these nanoparticles was about 21 nm.Furthermore, the study indicated that the precursor FeO(OH) played an important role in the formation of Fe3O4nanoparticles. 17An Inchworm-inspired Crawling Robot显示文摘This paper introduces the design and fabrication of a crawling soft robot controlled by a Shape Memory Alloy(SMA)wire.The robotic smart structure was inspired by the inchworm’s abdominal contractions during locomotion.The SMA wires were embedded longitudinally in the robotic body to imitate the inchworm’s longitudinal muscle fibers that are used to control the inchworm’s abdominal contractions.A ratchet structure was used to imitate the inchworm’s feet and provided friction with the ground during moving.Based on the resistor self-feedback of the SMA wire,we proposed an adaptive control strategy to avoid overheating.Experiments were conducted to evaluate the robotic locomotive performance for crawling,avoiding an obstacle,and the effect of the adaptive control strategy.The maximum speed of the robot was 48 mm min1,and the SMA wire’s temperature was kept below 69℃to prevent overheating.Those results show that this robot is with the ability to adapt to different environments.Zhenyun Shi Jie Pan Jiawen Tian Hao Huang Yongrui Jiang Song Zeng 2019Journal of Bionic Engineering2019,16,4:2

Among them, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) inhibitors exerts potent antiangiogenic activity in tumor therapy. Therefore, it may provide a valid strategy for cancer treatment through targeting the tumor angiogenesis via VEGFR2 pathway. In this study, we established a high-profile compounds library and certificated a novel compound named N-(N-pyrrolidylacetyl)-9-(4-bromobenzyl)-1,3,4,9-tetrahydro-β-carboline (YF-452), which remarkably inhibited the migration, invasion and tube-like structure formation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) with little toxicity invitro. Rat thoracic aorta ring assay indicated that YF-452 significantly blocked the formation of microvascular exvivo. In addition, YF-452 inhibited angiogenesis in chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) and mouse corneal micropocket assays. Moreover, YF-452 remarkably suppressed tumor growth in xenografts mice model. Furthermore, investigation of molecular mechanism revealed that YF-452 inhibited VEGF-induced phosphorylation of VEGFR2 kinase and the downstream protein kinases including extracellular signal regulated kinase (ERK), focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and Src. 19Novel hemostatic agents based on gelatin-microbial transglutaminase mix显示文摘Hemostasis is a major challenge in surgical procedures and traumas. Conventional hemostatic methods have limited efficacy and may cause additional tissue damage. In this study, we designed a novel hemostatic agent based on the in situ gel formation of gelatin cross-linked by a novel microbial transglutaminase(mTGase), in which the amino acid sequences differed from commercial mTGases. The new hemostatic agent showed the same biochemical crosslinking chemistry as the final stages of the blood coagulation cascade while using gelatin as a 'structural' protein(rather than fibrin) and a calcium-independent mTGase as the crosslinking catalyst(rather than factor XIIIa).
