| 5 | Impacts of exercise interventions on different diseases and organ functions in mice显示文摘Background'. In recent years, much evidence has emerged to indicate that exercise can benefit people when performed properly. This reviewsummarizes the exercise interventions used in studies involving mice as they are related to special diseases or physiological status. To furtherunderstand the effects of exercise interventions in treating or preventing diseases, it is important to establish a template for exercise interventionsthat can be used in future exercise-related studies.Methods'. PubMed was used as the data resource for articles. To identify studies related to the effectiveness of exercise interventions for treatingvarious diseases and organ functions in mice, we used the following search language: (exercise [Title] OR training [Title] OR physical activity[Title]) AND (mice [title/abstract] OR mouse [title/abstract] OR mus [title/abstract]). To limit the range of search results, we included 2 filters:one that limited publication dates to 'in 10 years,^ and one that sorted the results as 'best match^^. Then we grouped the commonly used exercisemethods according to their similarities and differences. We then evaluated the effectiveness of the exercise interventions for their impact on diseasesand organ functions in 8 different systems.Results'. A total of 331 articles were included in the analysis procedure. The articles were then segmented into 8 systems for which the exerciseinterventions were used in targeting and treating disorders: motor system (60 studies), metabolic system (45 studies), cardio-cerebral vascularsystem (58 studies), nervous system (74 studies), immune system (32 studies), respiratory system (7 studies), digestive system (1 study), and thesystem related to the development of cancer (54 studies). The methods of exercise interventions mainly involved the use of treadmills, voluntarywheel-running, forced wheel-running, swimming, and resistance training. It was found that regardless of the specific exercise method used, mostof them demonstrated positive effects on various systemic diseases and organ functions. Most diseases were remitted with exercise regardless ofthe exercise method used, although some diseases showed the best remission effects when a specific method was used.Conclusion-. Our review strongly suggests that exercise intervention is a cornerstone in disease prevention and treatment in mice. | 6 | Atypical features and treatment choices in bipolar disorders:a result of the National Bipolar Mania Pathway Survey in China显示文摘In this study,we examined the point prevalence rate of atypical features in bipolar disorder,and estimated the potential impact of these features on treatment practices in China. Using the atypical features criteria of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association(DSM-IV),we documented the atypical symptoms in 3 906 consecutive participants with bipolar disorder enrolled at 26 psychiatric services across China. We further assessed the association between atypical features and the treatment approaches,including the prescription of antidepressants. The overall point prevalence rate of atypical features was 9.1% among patients with various bipolar disorder subtypes. When the definition was broadened to include atypical features B,the overall rate increased to 11.8%. Interestingly,among patients with the mixed state and remission subtypes,there was a significant difference in the rates of antidepressant medication usage between patients who met and those who did not meet the criteria for atypical features B. These fi ndings indicate a trend of using antidepressants for these two types of patients with atypical features. Further,for both mixed state and remission patients,treatment approaches were related to atypicalfeatures B. | 9 | Scalable and facile synthesis of V_(2)O_(5) nanoparticles via ball milling for improved aerobic oxidative desulfurization显示文摘In recent years, transition-metal oxides(TMOs) have been long employed for aerobic oxidative desulfurization. However, the inherent bottlenecks, such as the low explosion of active sites, limit the application of bulk TMOs catalyst. In this study, V_(2)O_(5) nanoparticles with oxygen vacancies were prepared in large-scale via facile ball milling strategy with adding oxalic acid as a reducing agent. The as-prepared catalysts exhibit remarkable sulfur removal for oils with different initial S-concentrations and different substrates. Sulfur removal could reach up to 99.7%(< 2 ppm) under the optimized reaction conditions. Simplified finite element model is built based on the geometrical model and basic physics phenomenon. Box–Behnken sampling and response surface methods are adopted to obtain gradient information.Results show that the proposed methods are effective for crashworthiness uncertainty analysis.Yield stress, frame thickness, impact velocity and angle have great influence on the failure behavior,and yield stress and frame thickness dominate the uncertainty of internal energy. | 16 | Exploring detailed urban-rural development under intersecting population growth and food production scenarios: Trajectories for China’s most populous agricultural province to 2030显示文摘Henan,China,is likely the most populous agricultural province worldwide.It is China’s major grain-producing area,with a continuously increasing population(96 million),which is greater than 93%of countries worldwide.However,this province has been experiencing unprecedented urbanization recently due to national policies and measures,such as a plan to build the capital city of Henan into a national center,resulting in severe conflicts in land use that endanger food security regionally and globally.To facilitate decision-making on this problem,we explored the detailed urban-rural development of Henan by modeling these land-use conflicts.Conventional modeling of a region’s urban-rural development is to navigate trade-offs(a)solely between different land-use types(b)by assuming that each type provides a single service(e.g.,croplands produce all the food),and(c)under a polynomial regression-based projection of population.In contrast,we considered both land-use type and intensity,resulting in a detailed land system for Henan.By introducing the concept of land system services(e.g.,food production),we established a many-to-many relationship between land system classes and services.These allowed us to carry out the most comprehensive modeling of Henan’s urban-rural development under eighteen combined scenarios of population growth and land-use policies on food production.The modeling results of these scenarios provide a solid basis for making decisions regarding Henan’s urban-rural development.We also revealed the influence mechanism of population growth,land-use policies,and their combinations,highlighting the benefits of securing food production by agricultural intensification rather than merely expanding the area of cropland. | GAO Peichao XIE Yiru SONG Changqing CHENG Changxiu YE Sijing | 2023 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2023,33,2: | 2 |
| 17 | GhKT2: a novel K^+ transporter gene in cotton(Gossypium hirsutum)显示文摘Potassium is an essential nutrient for plant growth and productivity of crops. K+transporters are important for K+uptake and transport in plants. However,information on the function of K+transporters and K+channels in cotton is limited. The KT/KUP/HAK protein family is essential for a variety of physiological processes in plants, including nutrient acquisition and regulation of development. This study, identified a K+transporter gene,Gh KT2, expressed in the roots of cotton(Gossypium hirsutum) cv. Liaomian17. The deduced transcript of Gh KT2 is highly homologous to Cluster II of KUP/HAK/KT K+transporters and is predicted to contain 11 transmembrane domains. Gh KT2 has been localized to the plasma membrane, and its transcripts were detected in roots, stems, leaves and shoot apices of cotton seedlings.Consistently, b-glucuronidase(GUS) expression driven by the Gh KT2 promoter could be detected in roots, mesophyll cells, and leaf veins in transgenic Arabidopsis. In addition,the expression of Gh KT2 was induced by low K+stress in cotton roots and p Gh KT2::GUS-transgenic Arabidopsis seedlings. The Gh KT2-overexpression Arabidopsis lines plants were larger and showed greater K+accumulation than the wild type(WT) regardless of K+concentration supplied. The net K+influx rate, measured by the noninvasive micro-test technique, in root meristem zone of Gh KT2-transgenic Arabidopsis lines was significantly greater than that of WT. | 20 | A novel trajectory planning strategy for aircraft emergency landing using Gauss pseudospectral method显示文摘To improve the survivability during an emergency situation, an algorithm for aircraft forced landing trajectory planning is proposed. The method integrates damaged aircraft modelling and trajectory planning into an optimal control framework. In order to deal with the complex aircraft flight dynamics, a solving strategy based on Gauss pseudospetral method(GPM) is presented.A 3-DOF nonlinear mass-point model taking into account the wind is developed to approximate the aircraft flight dynamics after loss of thrust. The solution minimizes the forced landing duration, with respect to the constraints that translate the changed dynamics, flight envelope limitation and operational safety requirements. The GPM is used to convert the trajectory planning problem to a nonlinear programming problem(NLP), which is solved by sequential quadratic programming algorithm.
