2Development of sensor system for real-time measurement of droplet deposition of agricultural sprayers显示文摘During the chemical application process,droplet deposition on a target is an important reference indicator for evaluating the spraying technique and its performance.In order to quickly obtain deposition results in the field,this study proposed a novel system based on surface humidity sensors.The basic principle is to convert the measured physical quantity change into a capacitance change,thereby realizing the physical quantity to electrical signal conversion.An Android application for mobile terminal and the corresponding coordinator were developed,which allowed operators to control multiple sensors simultaneously through the Bluetooth.The soluble tracer detected by spectrophotometer was used to calibrate the system.The obtained results indicated a good correlation between deposition volume and voltage increment output from the newly developed system(R2 of the six nozzles with Dv0.5 ranging from 107.28μm to 396.20μm were 0.8674-0.9729),and a power regression model based on the least squares technique(R2=0.8022)was developed.In the field test,the system exhibited an optimal performance in predicting the deposition volume.Compared with the conventional method of measuring tracer concentration,the deviation was less than 10%.In addition,the system exhibited good fitting curve of the deposition distribution with droplet number results measured by the water sensitive paper method.Longlong Li Ruirui Zhang Liping Chen Tongchuan Yi Gang Xu Daxuan Xue Qing Tang Linhuan Zhang Andrew John Hewitt Yining An 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,5:1
3Search for d-MPs without duplicates in two-terminal multistate networks based on MPs显示文摘The reliability evaluation of a multistate network is primarily based on d-minimal paths/cuts(d-MPs/d-MCs).However,being a nondeterminism polynomial hard(NP-hard)problem,searching for all d-MPs is a rather challenging task.In existing implicit enumeration algorithms based on minimal paths(MPs),duplicate d-MP candidates may be generated.An extra step is needed to locate and remove these duplicate d-MP candidates,which costs significant computational effort.This paper proposes an efficient method to prevent the generation of duplicate d-MP candidates for implicit enumeration algorithms for d-MPs.First,the mechanism of generating duplicate d-MP candidates in the implicit enumeration algorithms is discussed.Second,a direct and efficient avoiding-duplicates method is proposed.Third,an improved algorithm is developed,followed by complexity analysis and illustrative examples.Based on the computational experiments comparing with two existing algorithms,it is found that the proposed method can significantly improve the efficiency of generating d-MPs for a particular demand level d.XU Bei FANG Yining BAI Guanghan ZHANG Yun’an TAO Junyong 2022Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2022,33,6:0
4Characteristics and health risks of population exposure to phthalates via the use of face towels显示文摘The production of face towels is growing at an annual rate of about 4%in China,reaching 1.13 million tons by 2021.Phthalates(PAEs)are widely used in textiles,and face towels,as an important household textile,may expose people to PAEs via the skin,further leading to health risks.We collected new face towels and analyzed the distribution characterization of PAEs in them.The changes of PAEs were explored in a face towel use experiment and a simulated laundry experiment.Based on the use of face towels by 24 volunteers,we calculated the estimated daily intake(EDI)and comprehensively assessed the hazard quotient(HQ),hazard index(HI),and dermal cancer risk(DCR)of PAEs exposure in the population.PAEs were present in new face towels at total concentrations ofWenhui Zhang Na Zheng Sujing Wang Siyu Sun Qirui An Xiaoqian Li Zimeng Li Yining Ji Yunyang Li Jiamin Pan 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,8:0
5Failure analysis of unmanned autonomous swarm considering cascading effects显示文摘In this paper, we focus on the failure analysis of unmanned autonomous swarm(UAS) considering cascading effects. A framework of failure analysis for UAS is proposed.Guided by the framework, the failure analysis of UAS with crash fault agents is performed. Resilience is used to analyze the processes of cascading failure and self-repair of UAS. Through simulation studies, we reveal the pivotal relationship between resilience, the swarm size, and the percentage of failed agents.The simulation results show that the swarm size does not affect the cascading failure process but has much influence on the process of self-repair and the final performance of the swarm.The results also reveal a tipping point exists in the swarm. Meanwhile, we get a counter-intuitive result that larger-scale UAS loses more resilience in the case of a small percentage of failed individuals, suggesting that the increasing swarm size does not necessarily lead to high resilience. It is also found that the temporal degree failure strategy performs much more harmfully to the resilience of swarm systems than the random failure.
