1Remediation of Heavy Metal-Polluted Agricultural Soils Using Clay Minerals: A Review显示文摘Heavy metal contamination of agricultural soils poses risks and hazards to humans. The remediation of heavy metal-polluted soils has become a hot topic in environmental science and engineering. In this review, the application of clay minerals for the remediation of heavy metal-polluted agricultural soils is summarized, in terms of their remediation effects and mechanisms, influencing factors,and future focus. Typical clay minerals, natural sepiolite, palygorskite, and bentonite, have been widely utilized for the in-situ immobilization of heavy metals in soils, especially Cd-polluted paddy soils and wastewater-irrigated farmland soils. Clay minerals are able to increase soil p H, decrease the chemical-extractable fractions and bioavailability of heavy metals in soils, and reduce the heavy metal contents in edible parts of plants. The immobilization effects have been confirmed in field-scale demonstrations and pot trials. Clay minerals can improve the environmental quality of soils and alleviate the hazards of heavy metals to plants. As main factors affecting the immobilization effects, the p H and water condition of soils have drawn academic attention. The remediation mechanisms mainly include liming, precipitation, and sorption effects. However, the molecular mechanisms of microscopic immobilization are unclear. 2Concentrations,profiles and gas-particle partitioning of PCDD/Fs,PCBs and PBDEs in the ambient air of an E-waste dismantling area,southeast China显示文摘Polychlorinated diebenzo-p-dioxins(PCDDs),polychlorinated diebenzofurans(PCDFs),polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs) were monitored in the ambient air of Taizhou,an E-waste dismantling area of southeast China to evaluate their concentrations,profiles and gas-particle partitioning.The ΣPCDD/Fs concentrations ranged from 2.91 to 50.6 pg/m3,with an average of 14.3 pg/m3.The I-TEQs for PCDD/Fs were in the range of 0.20-3.45 pg/m3,with an average of 1.10 pg/m3.The ΣPCBs concentrations and TEQs ranged from 4.23 to 11.35 ng/m3,0.050 to 0.859 pg(TEQ)/m3,respectively.The concentrations of ΣPBDEs ranged from 92 to 3086 pg/m3,with an average of 894 pg/m3.The pollution levels of PCDD/Fs,PCBs and PBDEs were higher than other urban sites,which may be associated with the E-waste dismantling activities.The PCDD/Fs were found exclusively in the particle phase whereas PCBs distributed dominantly in the gas phase.The gas-partilce partitioning was also assessed by correlating the gas-particle partition coefficient(Kp) with the subcooled liquid vapor pressure(PL0).The measured particulate sorptions of PCDD/Fs,PCBs and PBDEs were compared with the predictions from Junge-Pankow model and Koa absorption model.The Junge-Pankow model well estimated the particulate fractions of PCBs.However,it underestimated the sorptions of PCDD/Fs and overestimated the fractions of PBDEs.The predicted particulate fractions of PCDD/Fs and PCBs from Koa model fitted well with the measured data.LI YingMing JIANG GuiBin WANG YaWei WANG Pu ZHANG QingHua 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,4:26

4Spatial concentration,congener profiles and inhalation risk assessment of PCDD/Fs and PCBs in the atmosphere of Tianjin,China显示文摘Polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins/dibenzofurans(PCDD/Fs) and polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs) were monitored in a seasonal passive sampling scheme during June 2008 and January 2009 to investigate the spatial concentration,congener profiles and evaluate the potential inhalation risk in different functional areas in Tianjin,China.The spatial air concentrations and I-TEQs ranged 1.08×102-8.19×10 3 fg m-3(average 2.63×103 fg m-3) and 4.08-325 fg I-TEQ m-3(average 91.4 fg I-TEQ m-3) respectively for PCDD/Fs.The concentration and I-TEQs of PCBs were 3.08×104-3.01×105 fg m-3(average 1.39×105 fg m-3) and 1.72-49.6 fg I-TEQ m-3(average 18.5 fg I-TEQ m-3).It is obvious that PCB concentrations were several hundred times higher than the PCDD/Fs.However,the ambient air PCDD/Fs contributed a major part to the total toxicity equivalents,varying from 72.7% to 89.0%(average 81.8%).The atmospheric PCDD/F levels were observed to be higher in winter for most of sampling sites in the downtown.Besides,inhalation risk assessment showed that local residents might suffer more risk near the point sources than those in living area,industrial zones and background area in Tianjin City.However,the total daily dioxin intake was approximately several to hundreds of times lower than the WHO criteria,showing relatively low exposure risks from the impact of industry point sources in Tianjin City.DING Lei LI YingMing WANG Pu LI XiaoMin ZHAO ZongShan RUAN Ting ZHANG QingHua 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,9:17
5Seasonal trend of ambient PCDD/Fs in Tianjin City, northern China using active sampling strategy显示文摘The spatial concentrations, seasonal trends, profiles and congener pairs of ambient polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs) and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs) were investigated within a seasonally active sampling scheme during Jun 2008 and Jan 2009 in Tianjin City, northern China. The PCDD/F concentrations ranged 14.2-172 fg I-TEQ/m3 (average 69.3 fg I-TEQ/m3 ) in summer and (89.8-1.01)×103 fg I-TEQ/m3 (average 509 fg I-TEQ/m3 ) in winter, respectively, except for the E-waste dismantling site where much higher values were observed (1.04×103 fg I-TEQ/m3 in summer and 7.123×103 fg I-TEQ/m3 in winter). The results indicated a significantly seasonal trend with higher TEQ values in winter as compared with summer, which could be related to increased emission sources and seasonal variations of the atmospheric boundary layer height. 2,3,4,7,8-PeCDF was the dominant contributor to the total PCDD/F toxic equivalents, and 2,3,7,8-TCDD was detected at almost all the sampling sites in winter. Most of the similarly substituted PCDD/F congener pairs exhibited high correlations, suggesting that they might have similar environmental fate or sources. 7In situ stabilization remediation of cadmium contaminated soils of wastewater irrigation region using sepiolite显示文摘The effects of immobilization remediation of Cd-contaminated soils using sepiolite on soil pH,enzyme activities and microbial communities,TCLP-Cd(toxicity characteristic leaching procedure-Cd) concentration,and spinach(Spinacia oleracea) growth and Cd uptake and accumulation were investigated.Results showed that the addition of sepiolite could increase soil pH,while the TCLP-Cd concentration in soil was decreased with increasing sepiolite.The changes of soil enzyme activities and bacteria number indicated that a certain metabolic recovery occurred after the sepiolite treatments,and spinach shoot biomass increased by 58.5%-65.5% in comparison with the control group when the concentration of sepiolite was 10 g/kg.However,the Cd concentrations in the shoots and roots of spinach decreased with an increase in the rate of sepiolite,experiencing 38.4%-59.1% and 12.6%-43.6% reduction,respectively,in contrast to the control.The results indicated that sepiolite has the potential for success on a field scale in reducing Cd entry into the food chain.Yuebing Sun Guohong Sun Yingming Xu Lin Wang Dasong Lin Xuefeng Liang Xin Shi 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,10:11

11Historical trends of PCBs and PBDEs as reconstructed in a lake sediment from southern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘High-altitude lake sediment can be used as a natural archive to reconstruct the history of pollutants. In this work, the temporal distribution of polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs) were determined using a high-resolution gas chromatography coupled with high-resolution mass spectrometer(HRGC/HRMS) in an alpine lake sediment core collected from the southern Tibetan Plateau(TP) to examine whether the expected decreasing trends due to the implementation of the international Conventions could be observed. The concentrations of PCBs and PBDEs in the sediment core were in the range of 11.8–142 pg/g dw and ND-457 pg/g dw, and their fluxes were in the range of 2.51–31.7 ng/(m^2 ·yr) and ND-43.2 ng/(m^2 ·yr), respectively. The prevalence of low-chlorinated(tri-CB) PCBs and low-brominated(tri-to tetra-) PBDEs in most sections of the sediment profiles was observed, suggesting that the light molecular weight PCBs and PBDEs have most likely reached lake sediments by long-range atmospheric transport from distant sources. Despite the restrictions on their applications, the sediment records for the concentrations and fluxes showed no corresponding decreasing trend with restrictions for PCBs, which suggested that these POPs(e.g., PCBs) were still emitted to the environment owing to the influence of primary or secondary emissions. 13Exact Solutions for Piezoelectric Materials with an Elliptic Hole or a Crack under Uniform Internal Pressure显示文摘The existing investigations on piezoelectric materials containing an elliptic hole or a crack mainly focus on remote uniform tensile loads.In order to have a better understanding for the fracture behavior of piezoelectric materials under different loading conditions,theoretical and numerical solutions are presented for an elliptic hole or a crack in transversely isotropic piezoelectric materials subjected to uniform internal pressure and remote electro-mechanical loads.On the basis of the complex variable approach,analytical solutions of the elastic and electric fields inside and outside the defect are derived by satisfying permeable electric boundary condition at the surface of the elliptical hole.As an example of PZT-4 ceramics,numerical results of electro-elastic fields inside and outside the crack under various electric boundary conditions and electro-mechanical loads are given,and graphs of the electro-elastic fields in the vicinity of the crack tip are presented.The non-singular term is compared to the asymptotic one in the figures.It is shown that the dielectric constant of the air in the crack has no effect on the electric displacement component perpendicular to the crack,and the stresses in the piezoelectric material depend on the material properties and the mechanical loads on the crack surface and at infinity,but not on the electric loads at infinity.The figures obtained are strikingly similar to the available results.Unlike the existing work,the existence of electric fields inside an elliptic hole or a crack is considered,and the piezoelectric solid is subjected to complicated electro-mechanical loads.LIU Shuhong SHEN Yingming LIU Jinxi 2012Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,4:7
14Key technologies and engineering practices for soft-rock protective seam mining显示文摘Severe gas disasters in deep mining areas are increasing,and traditional protective coal seam mining is facing significant challenges.This paper proposes an innovative technology using soft rock as the protective seam in the absence of an appropriate coal seam.Based on the geological engineering conditions of the new horizontal first mining area of Luling Coal Mine in Huaibei,China,the impacts of different mining parameters of the soft-rock protective seam on the pressure-relief effect of the protected coal seam were analyzed through numerical simulation.The unit stress of the protected coal seam,which was less than half of the primary rock stress,was used as the mining stress pressure-relief index.The optimized interlayer space was found to be 59 m for the first soft-rock working face,with a 2 m mining thickness and 105 m face length.The physicochemical characteristics of the orebody were analyzed,and a device selection framework for the soft-rock protective seam was developed.Optimal equipment for the working face was selected,including the fully-mechanized hydraulic support and coal cutter.A production technology that combined fully-mechanized and blasting-assisted soft-rock mining was developed.Engineering practices demonstrated that normal circulation operation can be achieved on the working face of the soft-rock protective seam,with an average advancement rate of 1.64 m/d.The maximum residual gas pressure and content,which were measured at the cut hole position of the protected coal seams(Nos.8 and 9),decreased to 0.35 MPa and 4.87 m^3/t,respectively.The results suggested that soft-rock protective seam mining can produce a significant gas-control effect.Xiang Cheng Guangming Zhao Yingming Li Xiangrui Meng Qingyi Tu 2020International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2020,30,6:7
15Dynamic Case Retrieval Method With Subjective Preferences and Objective Information for Emergency Decision Making显示文摘Case-based reasoning(CBR) is one of the best methods for generating an effective solution in an emergency. In recent years, some methods for generating emergency alternatives have been included in practical CBR applications, but there have been no in-depth studies of these processes. In this study,we propose a new method for dynamic case retrieval with subjective preferences and objective information, which considers the personal preferences of the decision makers and changes in the attributes of the emergency as the situation develops. First,we present a formula for calculating the case similarity and changing trends in the case considered, where similar cases are obtained. Next, we describe a method for measuring the overall assessment value with respect to similar historical cases, which is obtained by aggregating the case similarity, the utility case similarity, the first response time, and the implementation effect.The subjective preferences and objective information are also integrated in the decision-making process. 16Comparisons of the film peeling from the composite oxides of quartz sand filters using ozone, hydrogen peroxide and chlorine dioxide显示文摘To solve the problem of shortened backwashing intervals in groundwater plants, several disinfectants including ozone(O3), hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) and chlorine dioxide(Cl O2)were examined to peel off the film from the quartz sand surface in four pilot-scale columns.An optimized oxidant dosage and oxidation time were determined by batch tests.Subsequently, the optimized conditions were tested in the four pilot-scale columns. The results demonstrated that the backwashing intervals increased from 35.17 to 54.33(H2O2)and to 53.67 hr(ClO2) after the oxidation treatments, and the increase of backwashing interval after treatment by O3 was much less than for the other two treatments.Interestingly, the treatment efficiency of filters was not affected by O3 or H2O2 oxidation;but after oxidation by ClO2, the treatment efficiency was deteriorated, especially the ammonia removal(from 96.96% to 24.95%). The filter sands before and after the oxidation were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.Compared with the oxidation by O3 and H2O2, the structures on the surface of filter sands were seriously damaged after oxidation by ClO2. The chemical states of manganese on the surfaces of those treated sands were only changed by ClO2. The damage of the structures and the change of the chemical states of manganese might have a negative effect on the ammonia removal. 17Determination of PCDD/Fs and dioxin-like PCBs in food and feed using gas chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry显示文摘A method was developed on a gas chromatograph coupled to a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer(GC-MS/MS) for trace level determination of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins/dibenzofurans(PCDD/Fs) and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls(DL-PCBs) in food and feed. The results demonstrated good sensitivity and repeatability for PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs at an extremely low level(10 pg mL^(-1) for 2,3,7,8-TCDD/F), as well as wide linear response of over 3 or 4 orders of magnitude in concentration ranges; 0.5–200 ng mL^(-1) for PeCDD/F and 0.2–2000 ng mL^(-1) for DL-PCBs. The method detection limits for PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs were in the range from 0.018–0.17 pg g^(-1) to 0.13–0.36 pg g^(-1), respectively. The performance of the GC-MS/MS for food and feed sample analysis showed high precision and accuracy compared to the high resolution gas chromatograph/high resolution mass spectrometer. 18Age–age correlations and early selection for growth traits in 40 half-sib families of Larix principis-rupprechtii显示文摘Larix principis-rupprechtii Mayr is a dominant species in coniferous forests of North China.However,early selection of L.principis-rupprechtii for growth traits is poorly characterised.To explore the optimal selection age for this species,heights(HT)and diameters at breast(DBH)of 40 half-sib families were measured at ages 3,12,22,and 28 years in a progeny test population established in the town of Kangjiahui,Shanxi Province.Age trends in heritability,age–age genetic correlations,and early selection efficiency for height and DBH were analysed.The individual heritability of these growth traits varied over time,and maximized at different ages(0.55 at age 12 for HT and 0.48 at age 28 for DBH).The age–age genetic correlations were always positive,and the majority were high(0.790–0.953)between the juvenile and mature ages for HT and DBH.For the same pairs of measurements,HT demonstrated higher age–age genetic correlations than DBH,and both age–age genetic correlation data sets were described well by the linear relationship with the logarithm of the age ratio(r2[0.90).The regression slope for DBH was lower than that for HT.Based on the early selection efficiency estimates,the optimal selection age could be as early as age 6 for DBH and 8–9 years for HT.The results of this study provide information that can be used to assist early selection practices in L.principis-rupprechtii improvement programs in Shanxi Province.Mingliang Dong Yingming Fan Zhihui Wu Futang Lv Jinfeng Zhang 2019Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,6:6
19A Dynamic Emergency Decision-Making Method Based on Group Decision Making with Uncertainty Information显示文摘In emergency decision making(EDM),it is necessary to generate an effective alternative quickly.Case-based reasoning(CBR)has been applied to EDM;however,choosing the most suitable case from a set of similar cases after case retrieval remains challenging.This study proposes a dynamic method based on case retrieval and group decision making(GDM),called dynamic casebased reasoning group decision making(CBRGDM),for emergency alternative generation.In the proposed method,first,similar historical cases are identified through case similarity measurement.Then,evaluation information provided by group decision makers for similar cases is aggregated based on regret theory,and comprehensive perceived utilities for the similar cases are obtained.Finally,the most suitable historical case is obtained from the case similarities and the comprehensive perceived utilities for similar historical cases.The method is then applied to an example of a gas explosion in a coal company in China.The results show that the proposed method is feasible and effective in EDM.The advantages of the proposed method are verified based on comparisons with existing methods.In particular,dynamic CBRGDM can adjust the emergency alternative according to changing emergencies.The results of application of dynamic CBRGDM to a gas explosion and comparison with existing methods verify its feasibility and practicability.Jing Zheng Yingming Wang Kai Zhang Juan Liang 2020International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2020,11,5:6
20Synthesis and characterization of N-aryloxo-functionalized β-ketoiminate rare-earth complexes and their catalytic activity for the polymerization of ε-caprolactone显示文摘The synthesis and characterization of dimeric rareearth amides stabilized by a dianionic N-aryloxo functionalized β-ketoiminate ligand are described.Reactions of 4-(2-hydroxy-5-methyl-phenyl) imino-2-pentanone(LH2) with Ln[N(SiMe3)2]3(μ-Cl)Li(THF)3 in a 1:1 molar ratio in THF gave the dimeric rare-earth amido complexes [LLn{N(SiMe3)2}(THF)]2 [Ln = Nd(1),Sm(2),Yb(3),Y(4)].These complexes were well characterized,and the definitive molecular structures of complexes 3 and 4 were determined.It was found that complexes 1― 4 can initiate the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone,and the ionic radii of the central metals have significant effect on the catalytic activity.HAN XiangZong WU LiangLiang YAO YingMing ZHANG Yong SHEN Qi 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,20:5
