2Study of the mechanism of cationic drug release increase coated with Sureleaseafter curing显示文摘This paper describes the investigation of the release mechanism of the cationic drug coated with Sureleaseafter curing compared with nonionic and anionic drug.The release rate of cured propafenone hydrochloride pellets coated with Sureleasewas increased significantly compared with uncured ones.The changes in release rate after seal-coating proved the migration of drug into the polymer film.Based on a comparative study of ammonia permeation tests and the impact of ammonia on drug with different properties,it was shown that the change in release of the cationic drug after curing was related to the combination of cationic drug and ammonia in Surelease.Also,the scanning electron microscopy results showed that curing and dissolution can both prevent polymer film coalescence.During coating,the evaporated ammonia combined with the cationic drug and the polymer film coalesced.However,the combined ammonia could be decomposed during curing and interrupt the coalescence of the polymer-coat,leading to increased release.In an optimized process,the ammonia in the Sureleasecan be evaporated quickly and the ionization of the drug will be reduced.All these factors can contribute to the formation of the polymer film.Yanting Hou Huiying Wang Xuezhu Zhang Meijuan Zou Gang Cheng 2013Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2013,8,5:1

4Simultaneously Effi cient Solar Light Harvesting and Charge Transfer of Hollow Octahedral Cu_(2)S/CdS p-n Heterostructures for Remarkable Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation显示文摘Solar-driven water splitting is a promising alternative to industrial hydrogen production.This study reports an elaborate design and synthesis of the integration of cadmium sulfi de(CdS)quantum dots and cuprous sulfi de(Cu_(2)S)nanosheets as three-dimensional(3D)hollow octahedral Cu_(2)S/CdS p-n heterostructured architectures by a versatile template and one-pot sulfi dation strategy.3D hierarchical hollow nanostructures can strengthen multiple refl ections of solar light and provide a large specifi c surface area and abundant reaction sites for photocatalytic water splitting.Owing to the construction of the p-n heterostructure as an ideal catalytic model with highly matched band alignment at Cu_(2)S/CdS interfaces,the emerging internal electric fi eld can facilitate the space separation and transfer of photoexcited charges between CdS and Cu_(2)S and also enhance charge dynamics and prolong charge lifetimes.Notably,the unique hollow Cu_(2)S/CdS architectures deliver a largely enhanced visible-light-driven hydrogen generation rate of 4.76 mmol/(g·h),which is nearly 8.5 and 476 times larger than that of pristine CdS and Cu_(2)S catalysts,respectively.This work not only paves the way for the rational design and fabrication of hollow photocatalysts but also clarifi es the crucial role of unique heterostructure in photocatalysis for solar energy conversion.Yanting Zhang Lei Ran Zhuwei Li Panlong Zhai Bo Zhang Zhaozhong Fan Chen Wang Xiaomeng Zhang Jungang Hou Licheng Sun 2021Transactions of Tianjin University2021,27,4:0
5Sensitivity of livelihood strategy to livestock production and marketization:An empirical analysis of grasslands in Inner Mongolia,China显示文摘Recent researches have primarily focused on the relationship between livelihood strategies and livelihood capital,with few empirical studies on the sensitivity of livelihood strategies to livestock production and marketization in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China.This study used an income distribution approach to categorize livelihood strategies of the respondents(n=394)into three types,i.e.,herder livelihood strategy(LS1),petty-herder livelihood strategy(LS2),and non-herder livelihood strategy(LS3).Using the multinomial logistic regression model,we compared livestock production and marketization across the three livelihood strategies.Our findings showed that(1)livestock production and marketization tended to favor LS1;(2)an increase in the land asset(contracted and rented grassland)and off-take rate increased the probability of households choosing LS1;(3)stocking rate was higher for LS1;and(4)the higher critical market-related risks perceived by herders were animal price and hay and corn price.Moreover,higher livestock price acted as a deterrent to diversifying into other livelihood strategies(LS2 and LS3).Finally,this study advocates for policies that will promote the land transfer market,adopt modern techniques in animal husbandry,improve the medium for disseminating market information to herders,and provide incentives for long-term livelihood transformation.Saheed Olaide JIMOH DING Wenqiang DONG Haibin BAI Haihua YIN Yanting LIU Huihui HOU Xiangyang 2021Regional Sustainability2021,2,4:0
6A temperature-regulated bioorthogonal reaction to target lysine:Hemiacetal pharmacophore in genipin irreversibly binds with UCP2,inhibiting mitochondrial thermogenesis显示文摘Mitochondria are essential for eukaryotic life as powerhouses for energy metabolism. Excessive mitochondrial hyperthermia and reactive oxygen species(ROS) production have been associated with aging, cancer,neurodegenerative diseases, and other disorders. Uncoupling protein 2(UCP2) is the effector responsible for regulating cellular thermogenesis and ROS production via dissipating protons in an electrochemical gradient. A UCP2 inhibitor named genipin(GNP) is being researched for its effect on mitochondrial temperature, but little is known about its mechanisms. This study developed several molecular probes to explore the interactions between GNP and UCP2. The result indicated that the hemiacetal structure in GNP could selectively react with the ?-amine of lysine on the UCP2 proton leakage channel through ringopening condensation at the mitochondrial, cellular, and animal levels. A notable feature of the reaction is its temperature sensitivity and ability to conjugate with UCP2 at high fever as lysine-specific covalent inhibitors that prevent mitochondrial thermogenesis. 7Market opportunities do not explain the ability of herders to meet livelihood objectives over winter on the Mongolian Plateau显示文摘Drylands under pastoral land use are considered one of the most vulnerable social-ecological systems to global climate change,but the herders'abilities to adapt to the different extreme weather events have received little attention in the drylands.Herders on the Mongolian Plateau(MP;including Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China and Mongolia),have had a long history of adapting climatic variability and extreme weather events.However,it is unclear how changes such as increased levels of infrastructure and market integration affect the ability of herders to achieve the key livelihood objectives:the minimisation of the death and abortion rates of livestock in the winter.Here,we used remotely sensed and household survey data to map,model and explore the climate exposure and sensitivity of herders in the settled area(Inner Mongolia of China)and nomadic area(Mongolia)in the winter of 2012–2013.We aimed to quantify the multi-scaled characteristics of both climate exposure and sensitivity through the lens of key adaptive strategies utilized by herders.Our results showed that the higher levels of infrastructure and market integration,and the lower levels of remoteness on the MP did not increase the herders'ability to achieve the key livelihood objectives.Our results also suggested that exposure to the snow that is comparatively greater than the long-term average(cumulative exposure)may be more important in determining the social-ecological vulnerability than absolute exposure.We suggested that neither the risk management strategies available to these herders,nor the demographic variables,could compensate for the mode of production governing the pastoral systems.Our study could provide further evidence for the complex and scaled nature of climate exposure and sensitivity,and the results imply that any analysis of the relationship among exposure,sensitivity and vulnerability of pastoral households to climate change in the drylands will require a multi-scaled and interdisciplinary approach.BAI Haihua YIN Yanting Jane ADDISON HOU Yulu WANG Linhe HOU Xiangyang 2020Journal of Arid Land2020,12,3:0
