1Spatiotemporal variations of PM_(2.5) and PM_(10) concentrations between31 Chinese cities and their relationships with SO_2,NO_2,CO and O_3显示文摘The variations of mass concentrations of PM_(2.5),PM_(10),SO_2,NO_2,CO,and O_3 in 31 Chinese provincial capital cities were analyzed based on data from 286 monitoring sites obtained between March 22,2013 and March 31,2014.By comparing the pollutant concentrations over this length of time,the characteristics of the monthly variations of mass concentrations of air pollutants were determined.We used the Pearson correlation coefficient to establish the relationship between PM_(2.5),PM_(10),and the gas pollutants.The results revealed significant differences in the concentration levels of air pollutants and in the variations between the different cities.The Pearson correlation coefficients between PMs and NO_2 and SO_2 were either high or moderate(PM_(2.5) with NO_2:r=0.256-0.688,mean r=0.498;PM_(10) with NO_2:r = 0.169-0.713,mean r = 0.493;PM2.5 with SO_2:r= 0.232-0.693,mean r=0.449;PM_(10) with SO_2:r = 0.131-0.669,mean r=0.403).The correlation between PMs and CO was diverse(PM_(2.5):r = 0.156-0.721,mean r=0.437;PM_(10):r=0.06-0.67,mean r= 0.380).The correlation between PMs and O_3 was either weak or uncorrelated(PM_(2.5):r--0.35 to 0.089,mean r=-0.164;PM_(10):r=-0.279 to 0.078,mean r=-0.127),except in Haikou(PM2.5:r=0.500;PM_(10):r-0.509).Yangyang Xie Bin Zhao Lin Zhang Rong Luo 2015Particuology2015,13,3:56
2Engineering Broad-Spectrum Bacterial Blight Resistance by Simultaneously Disrupting Variable TALE-Binding Elements of Multiple Susceptibility Genes in Rice显示文摘Xanthomonas oryzae pv.oryzae(Xoo),the causal agent of bacterial blight of rice,employs the transcription activator-like effectors(TALEs)to induce the expression of the OsSWEET family of putative sugar transporter genes,which function in conferring disease susceptibility(S)in rice plants.To engineer broadspectrum bacterial blight resistance,we used CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing to disrupt the TALEbinding elements(EBEs)of two S genes,OsSWEETH and OsSWEET14,in rice cv.Kitaake,which harbors the recessive resistance allele of Xa25/OsSWEET13.The engineered rice line MS14K exhibited broadspectrum resistance to most Xoo strains with a few exceptions,suggesting that the compatible strains may contain new TALEs.We identified two PthXo2-like TALEs,Tal5LN18 and Tal7PX061,as major virulence factors in the compatible Xoo strains LN18 and PX061,respectively,and found that Xoo encodes at least five types of PthXo2-like effectors.Given that PthXo2/PthXo2.1 target OsSlVEETf3 for transcriptional activation,the genomes of 3000 rice varieties were analyzed for EBE variationsin the OsSWEET13 promoter,and 10Xa25-like haplotypes were identified.We found that Tal5LN18 and Tal7PX〇6i bind slightly different EBE sequences in the OsSWEET13 promoter to activate its expression.CRISPR/Cas9 technology was then used to generate InDels in the EBE of the OsSWEET13 promoter in MS14K to creat a new germplasm with three edited OsSWEET EBEs and broad-spectrum resistance against all Xoo strains tested.Collectively,our findings illustrate how to disarm TALE-S co-evolved loci to generate broad-spectrum resistance through the loss of effector-triggered susceptibility in plants.Zhengyin Xu Xiameng Xu Qiang Gong Ziyang Li Ying Li Sai Wang Yangyang Yang Wenxiu Ma Longyu Liu Bo Zhu Lifang Zou Gongyou Chen 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,11:29

4Antimony(V) removal from water by hydrated ferric oxides supported by calcite sand and polymeric anion exchanger显示文摘We fabricated and characterized two hybrid adsorbents originated from hydrated ferric oxides(HFOs) using a polymeric anion exchanger D201 and calcite as host. The resultant adsorbents(denoted as HFO-201 and IOCCS) were employed for Sb(V) removal from water. Increasing solution pH from 3 to 9 apparently weakened Sb(V) removal by both composites, while increasing temperature from 293 to 313 K only improved Sb(V) uptake by IOCCS. HFO-201 exhibited much higher capacity for Sb(V) than for IOCCS in the absence of other anions in solution. Increasing ionic strength from 0.01 to 0.1 mol/L NaNO3would result in a significant drop of the capacity of HFO-201 in the studied pH ranges; however, negligible effect was observed for IOCCS under similar conditions. Similarly, the competing chloride and sulfate pose more negative effect on Sb(V) adsorption by HFO-201 than by IOCCS, and the presence of silicate greatly decreased their adsorption simultaneously, while calcium ions were found to promote the adsorption of both adsorbents. XPS analysis further demonstrated that preferable Sb(V) adsorption by both hybrids was attributed to the inner sphere complexation of Sb(V) and HFO, and Ca(II) induced adsorption enhancement possibly resulted from the formation of HFO-Ca-Sb complexes. Column adsorption runs proved that Sb(V) in the synthetic water could be effectively removed from 30 μg/L to below 5 μg/L(the drinking water standard regulated by China), and the effective treatable volume of IOCCS was around 6 times as that of HFO-201, implying that HFO coatings onto calcite might be a more effective approach than immobilization inside D201.Yangyang Miao Feichao Han Bingcai Pan Yingjie Niu Guangze Nie Lu Lv 2014Journal of Environmental Sciences2014,26,2:20
5Regeneration performance and carbon consumption of semi-coke and activated coke for SO_2 and NO removal显示文摘To decrease the operating cost of flue gas purification technologies based on carbon-based materials, the adsorption and regeneration performance of low-price semi-coke and activated coke were compared for SO2 and NO removal in a simulated flue gas. The functional groups of the two adsorbents before and after regeneration were characterized by a Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectrometer, and were quantitatively assessed using temperature programmed desorption(TPD) coupled with FTIR and acid–base titration. The results show that semi-coke had higher adsorption capacity(16.2% for SO2 and 38.6% for NO) than activated coke because of its higher content of basic functional groups and lactones. After regeneration, the adsorption performance of semi-coke decreased because the number of active functional groups decreased and the micropores increased. Semi-coke had better regeneration performance than activated coke. Semi-coke had a larger SO2 recovery of 7.2% and smaller carbon consumption of 12% compared to activated coke. 6Effects of soil water and nitrogen availability on photosynthesis and water use efficiency of Robinia pseudoacacia seedlings显示文摘The efficient use of water and nitrogen (N) to promote growth and increase yield of fruit trees and crops is well studied.However,little is known about their effects on woody plants growing in arid and semiarid areas with limited water and N availability.To examine the effects of water and N supply on early growth and water use efficiency (WUE) of trees on dry soils,one-year-old seedlings of Robinia pseudoacacia were exposed to three soil water contents (non-limiting,medium drought,and severe drought) as well as to low and high N levels,for four months.Photosynthetic parameters,leaf instantaneous WUE (WUEi) and whole tree WUE (WUEb) were determined.Results showed that,independent of N levels,increasing soil water content enhanced the tree transpiration rate (Tr),stomatal conductance (Gs),intercellular CO2 concentration (Ci),maximum net assimilation rate (Amax),apparent quantum yield (AQY),the range of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) due to both reduced light compensation point and enhanced light saturation point,and dark respiration rate (Rd),resulting in a higher net photosynthetic rate (Pn) and a significantly increased whole tree biomass.Consequently,WUEi and WUEb were reduced at low N,whereas WUE i was enhanced at high N levels.Irrespective of soil water availability,N supply enhanced Pn in association with an increase of Gs and Ci and a decrease of the stomatal limitation value (Ls),while Tr remained unchanged.Biomass and WUEi increased under non-limiting water conditions and medium drought,as well as WUEb under all water conditions;but under severe drought,WUEi and biomass were not affected by N application.In conclusion,increasing soil water availability improves photosynthetic capacity and biomass accumulation under low and high N levels,but its effects on WUE vary with soil N levels.N supply increased Pn and WUE,but under severe drought,N supply did not enhance WUEi and biomass.Xiping Liu Yangyang Fan Junxia Long Ruifeng Wei Roger Kjelgren Chunmei Gong Jun Zhao 2013Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,3:15

13Assessing the Dynamics of Grassland Net Primary Productivity in Response to Climate Change at the Global Scale显示文摘Understanding the net primary productivity(NPP) of grassland is crucial to evaluate the terrestrial carbon cycle. In this study, we investigated the spatial distribution and the area of global grassland across the globe. Then, we used the Carnegie-Ames-Stanford Approach(CASA) model to estimate global grassland NPP and explore the spatio-temporal variations of grassland NPP in response to climate change from 1982 to 2008. Results showed that the largest area of grassland distribution during the study period was in Asia(1737.23 × 104 km^2), while the grassland area in Europe was relatively small(202.83 × 10~4 km^2). Temporally, the total NPP increased with fluctuations from 1982 to 2008, with an annual increase rate of 0.03 Pg C/yr. The total NPP experienced a significant increasing trend from 1982 to 1995, while a decreasing trend was observed from 1996 to 2008. Spatially, the grassland NPP in South America and Africa were higher than the other regions, largely as a result of these regions are under warm and wet climatic conditions. The highest mean NPP was recorded for savannas(560.10 g C/(m^2·yr)), whereas the lowest was observed in open shrublands with an average NPP of 162.53 g C/(m^2·yr). 14CPSF30-L-mediated recognition of mRNA m^(6)A modification controls alternative polyadenylation of nitrate signaling-related gene transcripts in Arabidopsis显示文摘N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A),a ubiquitous internal modification of eukaryotic mRNAs,plays a vital role in almost every aspect of mRNA metabolism.However,there is little evidence documenting the role of m^(6)A in regulating alternative polyadenylation(APA)in plants.APA is controlled by a large protein-RNA complex with many components,including CLEAVAGE AND POLYADENYLATION SPECIFICITY FACTOR30(CPSF30).In Arabidopsis,CPSF30 has two isoforms and the longer isoform(CPSF30-L)contains a YT512-B Homology(YTH)domain,which is unique to plants.In this study,we showed that CPSF30-L YTH domain binds to m^(6)A in v itro.In the cpsf30-2 mutant,the transcripts of many genes including several important nitrate signaling-related genes had shifts in polyadenylation sites that were correlated with m^(6)A peaks,indicating that these gene transcripts carrying m^(6)A tend to be regulated by APA.Wild-type CPSF30-L could rescue the defects in APA and nitrate metabolism in cpsf30-2,but m^(6)A-binding-defective mutants of CPSF30-L could not.Taken together,our results demonstrated that m^(6)A modification regulates APA in Arabidops is and revealed that the m^(6)A reader CPSF30-L affects nitrate signaling by controlling APA,shedding new light on the roles of the m^(6)A modification during RNA 3-end processing in nitrate metabolism.Yiteng Hou Jing Sun Baixing Wu Yangyang Gao Hongbo Nie Zhentian Nie Shuxuan Quan Yong Wang Xiaofeng Cao Sisi Li 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,4:12

16Endometrial membrane organoids from human embryonic stem cell combined with the 3D Matrigel for endometrium regeneration in asherman syndrome显示文摘Asherman’s syndrome(AS),a leading cause of uterine infertility worldwide,is characterized by scarring of the uterine surfaces lacking endometrial epithelial cells,which prevents endometrial regeneration.Current research on cell therapy for AS focuses on mesenchymal and adult stem cells from the endometrium.However,insufficient number,lack of purity,and rapid senescence of endometrial epithelial progenitor cells(EEPCs)during experimental processes restrict their use in cell therapies.In this study,we induced human embryonic stem cells-9(H9-ESC)into EEPCs by optimizing the induction factors from the definitive endoderm.EEPCs,which act as endometrial epithelial cells,accompanied by human endometrial stromal cells provide a niche environment for the development of endometrial membrane organoids(EMOs)in an in vitro 3D culture model.To investigate the function of EMOs,we transplanted tissue-engineered constructs with EMOs into an in vivo rat AS model.The implantation of EMOs into the damaged endometrium facilitates endometrial regeneration and angiogenesis.Implanting EMOs developed from human embryonic stem cells into the endometrium might prove useful for“endometrial re-engineering”in the treatment of Asherman’s syndrome.Xiuxiu Jiang Xingmiao Li Xiangwei Fei Jiajie Shen Jianhua Chen Meijun Guo Yangyang Li 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,11:11
17Signal-Based Intelligent Hydraulic Fault Diagnosis Methods: Review and Prospects显示文摘Hydraulic systems have the characteristics of strong fault concealment,powerful nonlinear time-varying signals,and a complex vibration transmission mechanism;hence,diagnosis of these systems is a challenge.To provide accurate diagnosis results automatically,numerous studies have been carried out.Among them,signal-based methods are commonly used,which employ signal processing techniques based on the state signal used for extracting features,and further input the features into the classifier for fault recognition.However,their main deficiencies include the following:(1)The features are manually designed and thus may have a lack of objectivity.(2)For signal processing,feature extraction and pattern recognition are conducted using independent models,which cannot be jointly optimized globally.(3)The machine learning algorithms adopted by these methods have a shallow architecture,which limits their capacity to deeply mine the essential features of a fault.As a breakthrough in artificial intelligence,deep learning holds the potential to overcome such deficiencies.Based on deep learning,deep neural networks(DNNs)can automatically learn the complex nonlinear relations implied in a signal,can be globally optimized,and can obtain the high-level features of multi-dimensional data.In this paper,the main technology used in an intelligent fault diagnosis and the current research status of hydraulic system fault diagnosis are summarized and analyzed.The significant prospect of applying deep learning in the field of intelligent fault diagnosis is presented,and the main ideas,methods,and principles of several typical DNNs are described and summarized.The commonality between a fault diagnosis and other issues regarding typical pattern recognition are analyzed,and research ideas for applying DNNs for hydraulic fault diagnosis are proposed.Meanwhile,the research advantages and development trend of DNNs(both domestically and overseas)as applied to an intelligent fault diagnosis are reviewed.Furthermore,the fault characteristics of a complex hydraulic system are summarized and discussed,and the key problems and possible research ideas of applying DNNs to an intelligent hydraulic fault diagnosis are presented and comprehensively analyzed.Juying Dai Jian Tang Shuzhan Huang Yangyang Wang 2019Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2019,32,5:11
18Q-switched and mode-locked Er-doped fiber laser using PtSe2 as a saturable absorber显示文摘We report a passively Q-switched and mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser(EDFL) based on PtSe_2, a new two-dimensional material, as a saturable absorber(SA). Self-started Q-switching at 1560 nm in the EDFL was achieved at a threshold pump power of 65 mW, and at the maximum pump power of 450 m W, the maximum single Q-switched pulse energy is 143.2 n J. Due to the polarization-dependent characteristics of the PtSe_2-based SA, the laser can be switched from the Q-switched state to the mode-locked state by adjusting the polarization state. A mode-locked pulse train with a repetition rate of 23.3 MHz and a pulse width of 1.02 ps can be generated when the pump power increases to about 80 m W, and the stable mode-locked state is maintained until the pump power reaches its maximum 450 m W. The maximum single mode-locked pulse energy is0.53 nJ. 19Architecture design for reliable and reconfigurable FPGA-based GNC computer for deep space exploration显示文摘SRAM(static random access memory)-based FPGA(field programmable gate array), owing to its large capacity, high performance, and dynamical reconfiguration, has become an attractive platform for So PC(system on programmable chip) development. However, as the configuration memory and logic memory of the SRAM-based FPGA are highly susceptible to SEUs(single-event upsets) in deep space, it is a challenge to design and implement a highly reliable FPGA-based system for spacecraft, and no practical architecture has been proposed. In this paper, a new architecture for a reliable and reconfigurable FPGAbased computer in a highly critical GNC(guidance navigation and control) system is proposed. To mitigate the effect of an SEU on the system, multi-layer reconfiguration and multi-layer TMR(triple module redundancy) techniques are proposed, with a reliable reconfigurable real-time operating system(Space OS) managing the system level fault tolerance of the computer in the architecture. The proposed architecture for the reconfigurable FPGA-based computer has been implemented with COTS(commercial off the shelf) FPGA and has firstly been applied to the GNC system of a circumlunar return and reentry flight vehicle. 20Rational design of nitrogen doped hierarchical porous carbon for optimized zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors显示文摘Aqueous rechargeable zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors are considered to be a promising candidate for large-scale energy storage devices owing to their high safety,long life,and low price.In this paper,a nitrogen doped hierarchical porous carbon is evaluated as the cathode for aqueous rechargeable zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors.Benefiting from the synergistic merits of excellent structural features of N-HPC and tiny zinc dendrite of Zn anode in ZnSO4 electrolyte,the zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitor exhibits excellent energy storage performance including high capacity of 136.8 mAh·g^−1 at 0.1·Ag^−1,high energy density of 191 Wh·kg^−1,large power density of 3,633.4 W·kg^−1,and satisfactory cycling stability of up to 5,000 cycles with a capacity retention of 90.9%.This work presents a new prospect of developing high-performance aqueous rechargeable zinc ion energy storage devices.Penggao Liu Yang Gao Yangyang Tan Weifang Liu Yanping Huang Jun Yan Kaiyu Liu 2019Nano Research2019,12,11:10
